Partial rewire
Replacing or extending some of a property's circuits rather than all of them, often a kitchen, a bathroom or an upstairs lighting circuit. Partial rewire is carried out nationally by 250 electricians, with businesses concentrated in London, Bristol, Leeds, Sheffield and Birmingham. It is also known as circuit extension, rewiring one room or new circuit.
Why people have it done
- The circuits that need replacing are replaced without opening up the whole property.
- Work follows a room being refitted rather than waiting for a whole-house job.
