I've used Short Fuse Electrical a couple of times now and they have not let me down. I previously called Ian to my home in Uxbridge where he carried out a new Fuse Box fitting as well as installing new Smoke/Heat alarms and an electric shower. This was almost 5 years ago and I have not had any issue. I recently called Ian again to my parents home to install a new thermostat. He came around the very next day and had the Thermostat installed in under an hour. A very proffesional and efficient service. I would definately recommend anyone who needs any electrical related works to use Short Fuse Electrical.

Ian, Ewan and Charlie were professional from start to finish. Extremely competent and did not cut any corners. They knew exactly what needed to be done and I didn’t have to tell them twice. Normally I’m always hovering over the shoulder of contractors making sure they’re not cutting any corners but with Ewan and Charlie on the job I felt at ease and had no stress. Very good price and the quality of work was much better than expected. Definitely one to save in the phone book for future work. Would highly recommend.

We had work done twice by Ian and his team. One’s last year and yesterday. Probably one of the best service I've had. They were prompt and very professional and went extra mile with new down-lights they didn't necessarily have to provide.

I recently had an urgent electrical issue following an installation by Octopus Energy. After they installed a smart meter, I experienced a major problem where my fuse box exploded, blowing out (not just tripping) two fuses. It was a stressful situation, to say the least. Enter Short Fuse Electrical. From the moment I contacted them, their professionalism was evident. They promptly scheduled a visit and arrived right on time. Ian and his apprentice, Charlie, were absolutely amazing. They were courteous, professional, and incredibly thorough in their investigation. Ian meticulously traced the problem back to the smart meter installation and discovered that the Octopus Energy engineers had screwed into an existing cable. This oversight caused the disastrous malfunction of my fuse box. Ian and Charlie didn't waste any time. They fixed the issue swiftly, ensuring everything was up to standard and safe. Their expertise and attention to detail were clear, and they took the time to explain what had gone wrong and how they were fixing it. Overall, I was very impressed with their service. Very fortunate to have found Ian and his team, very professional and honest, he even eliminated unnecessary jobs from the list to reduce my costs -we had the fuse box upgraded, shower cable re-wiring, storage heater removal and new heaters installed, shaver unit installed. The guys were so good they made it look easy. You get a certificate at the end for your letting purposes. He supplied all the parts and took away all the headache of me finding them, all at a highly competitive fair price. If you can get hold his team for the job, you certainly don't need to look elsewhere.

I found Short Fuse Electrical via the Checkatrade website, and they were 1 of 3 companies I sourced quotes from given their NICEIC Accreditations. The primary work I wanted carried out included: - Replacing and moving my 1970's Fuse Box. - Connecting up external power which was running down the back of the garden (with no circuit breakers) which I inherited with the house! I went with Ian as he was prompt with his response, came across as professional and genuine, and having looked at the job provided me with a really competitive quote for the works. On the day, the team arrived promptly, carried out the work as explained, and fully cleaned-up after themselves. In addition, I also asked for some additional works to be carried out (new switches and sockets) on the day which Ian and the team obliged, and also fixed an issue with one of the circuits. I have to say, we couldn't have been happier with the overall experience, and the work Ian and his team carried out. Going forward, I won't go anywhere else.
