Great experience with AMS, would highly recommend

We contacted AMS to complete a CCTV assessment of our buildings 4-story flat external drainage due to blockage issues, through this the team found both fat and root activity and quoted for a drain clear and re-assessment which we paid for and was completed in September. However, since September, I have had back and forth emails and calls with Tracy requesting a quotation for the works stipulated as required in the re-assessment. 3 months later I am yet to receive the quotation.

AMS - brilliant firm! Tracey gave us a time and reasonable price when I rang up and Zac arrived at the time specified to clear our kitchen drain and a bathroom basin. He was efficient, capable and nice to have around. Very pleased! Will certainly use next time. Thanks AMS!

Excellent sonar survey and footage of main drain running through our property. Helped us massively with planning our drainage requirements. I even got sent the video footage with the “reeled out” cable length on it, so when noticed an extra unexpected private drain joint, I have been able to pin point pretty accurately when that joint should be. This should remove our need for a new joint. Thanks!

Really positive experience with AMS, the call out was prompt only a few hours after calling. Friendly helpful staff, would definitely recommend.

We had a collapsed rest bend at the bottom of our bathroom drain pipe that needed replacing before. AMS quoted us a fee that was less than half of what another company had quoted and could do the work 2 weeks earlier. I'm very happy with the work that was done and grateful to the engineers for getting everything sorted asap for us.

Fabulous prompt response and expert help from AMS drains. Zack was helpful, polite and tidy. We have used AMS drains 3 times over the years and have always had an excellent customer experience.

Rang them on the Monday and came out on the Tuesday as my mothers drains were badly blocked. Really friendly company to deal with. Excellent service from the lady in the office and from Zak the engineer on site. Would not hesitate to use again.

Arrived promptly after ringing ahead. Cleared a blockage in our outside drain that was stopping our downstairs toilet from flushing away. All done very quickly and tidily by the friendly and knowledgeable Zak.

I was recommended to this company from someone, I contacted them this morning talk to the lady explain my problem, and I explain the problem I have a drain block but don't know where, she said we need access to downstairs toilet or the pipe coming from upstairs, she give a price £185+vat to investigate the problem, I said its to much, and she said we paid £ 40 000 for are cameras, that's not my problem how much you pay for the camera, people can't afford that kind of money just for investigation. Don't recommend, don't try it .

A thorough post inspection clean up was also carried out, saving myself time and effort, ready for my renovation work. Did not have a good experience with this company. The St Werburghs branch. Pros: Always good to start with the pros: the engineers that came to visit were friendly and helpful with any questions. Hence the 2 stars and not 1. Cons: Felt like I got ripped off, could not get a site visit booked in, felt like I was getting lied to by the office clerk, camera survey technicians were not as competent as the next company I used. Explanation: I spoke to AMS Drains and clearly explained the work that I wanted undertaken. This was to move a downpipe at the back of my house and re route the underground pipework that was buried in concrete, plus fit a man hole as this was non existent before. I clearly explained that this is what I wanted done and wanted a quote for this work and this work in particular. The office clerk said that a quote for this work was not possible without a camera survey and that it was a separate cost for a camera survey. Although I found this a bit frustrating, I understood their reasoning as assume they only wanted to quote once a camera survey had been done so they could accurately cost up the work. Fair enough. AMS Drains came to visit to conduct a camera survey, they were friendly and explained a lot of information. However they could not assess the whole pipe as they said there was a blockage further along and it would damage the camera if they pushed any further. So I didn't get a full survey anyway. Once done they even had a card machine to take payment. Convenient. At this point I was still feeling positive with AMS Drains and hopeful that I would soon get a quote for the pipe relocation works - the works I wanted done in the first place. However, this is where I had a really negative experience, the office clerk would simply not quote and then said would need to send another engineer to assess the works. So what was the point in the camera survey in the first place then?? Fine ok, send an engineer and then I will get a quote. Engineer visited. Friendly enough. No problems there. But again, I could not get a quote from the office clerk if my life depended on it. It was always the classic "just stepping out the office", "just back from lunch, will get back to you" etc. In the end after many failed attempts, I got the impression that AMS Drains did not want the work and suspected they never actually wanted the work, they just wanted to make a quick buck off a half done camera survey. I can't prove this, but this is how I felt. So I called another company, a smaller company. This other company - he came to visit same day and quoted on site! He said that he would do a camera survey as part of the works anyways, so no need to pay extra for it. He did the work very efficiently and was even able to do a full camera survey, was able to push past the small blockage with ease. Conclusion: Like with a lot of these things, often best to use a smaller company. Wish I had contacted this other company from the start. AMS Drains - would not recommend.

Happy with the service from these guys. We got an appointment same day. Mark was a pleasure to deal with, friendly and informative, and resolved our drain blockage without a palaver. Would use again.

Excellent service - friendly and helpful from first point of contact with their office to engineers leaving site. Sorted our household drain (exterior) blockages within 30 minutes. Price matched quoted price from the office. Card machine in the van made payment nice and easy. Highly recommended.

Excellent service! AMS came out to fix the blocked drain within the hour which was great as I had to take time off work. They were friendly and professional and explained exactly what they needed to do, leaving everything clean and tidy when they left. Would highly recommend.

Three times they said they were coming and didn't show. We had to call to chase. Nice lady on the telephone who was in theory helpful but let down by the clearance people who didn't show and didn't call to say they couldn't make it, so we waited around three times. Not recommended

Don't bother calling anyone else in Bristol. A first class, prompt, efficient and reasonably prices service. The technician, Ally, was informative as to the problem, sorted it out quickly and left the area spotless. Can't ask for more really.

Brilliant - I did a lot the work myself, and they made multiple trips to give advice, then when I was ready for them, they were there to finish the job and do the tricky bit.

They do good work (not cheap, but fair) - if you can ever get hold of them. The first time I used them to reinstall a drain that had been bodged by a builder. A struggle to get anyone to come round for a site visit. £700 for a day's work but they took great care when they had to get underneath our patio and the end results were great. The second time I wanted to use them, I made three requests to arrange a site visit - both by phone and email - and no-one ever got back to me. So by all means, try to get hold of these guys - you might get lucky - but don't hold your breath.

Very grateful for a very speedy and efficient response this evening. Sorted within an hour with a situation we would never have sorted without professional help. Ali and very efficient person on the phone sorted us out- many many thanks. Not terribly cheap but not the point for us this evening- main thing is job done 👍🏻💦 ✅

Please be wary that at least 2 of the reviews below seem to incorrectly refer to AMS Drain Services so maybe incorrectly boosting the rating of Easy Drain Services. I called Easy Drain Services one morning and was told they would visit between 3-6pm that day. I heard nothing so called at 5:45pm and was told they had only just arrived at another job and could not help until maybe 1-2pm the next day. They were courteous but didn't sound as they could cope with the volume of work and should have been honest so I could have booked another company - which is what I then did instead.

Gary from AMS came out to look at a difficult blockage in an underground clay soil pipe at the rear of a victorian terrace. He was extremely helpful and rather than wasting my money by doing a jet wash through which might only temporarily fix the blockage he explained in detail how I could fix the problem myself and some parts at a very reasonable cost.

AMS handled a very difficult job with great professionalism, teamwork, perseverance and good humour - we were both impressed and grateful. Highly recommended!

Excellent job, I highly recommend this company especially Paul who got right to work clearing my kitchen drain and carefully cleaned up after what was a messy job. He even checked with my neighbor in the downstairs flat to be sure there was no leakage affecting them. All in all a great experience, job done properly for a very reasonable price. we had a problem with our exterior drainage, we found AMS drain services on the Internet. A very prompt, professional and effecient firm who left our garden just as it was before. Good value for money as well. highly recommend.

We had a sudden and serious issue with an inflow of raw sewage into our property. We called AMS Drain Services and received an excellent response. The 2 man crew arrived promptly at the time specified, got straight to work, identified a difficult issue underneath the property next door, produced a video recording and report of the survey which included a line diagram of the sewerage services as they are laid out and presented a most modest bill for their services. I have used this company in the past and received the same level of service. In addition to identifying the problem they also proposed a most workable solution in a difficult situation. In short I highly recommend them!!
