Smart flow came to our rescue last week when Yorkshire Water told us we had a water leak. They came very speedily to assess the problem and the day after that Alex and Luke arrived and worked all day to replace pipes and ensure the leak had been stopped. We were very impressed with the efficiency of all the SmartFlow team and would definitely recommend the company.

A very professional and knowledgable team who were able to analyse and trouble shoot our particular plumbing situation inside and outside our house.

Some months ago Yorkshire Water assessed we had an 8-10 litre per hour leak on our property. I engaged a plumber to determine whether the leak was internal or external. It wasn't internal. So I contacted and in due course contracted with SmartFlow. I am delighted with their services in replacing my water supply piping from the external stop valve on our drive to the piping near the location of the original internal stop valve in our utility room. Ryan expertly assessed the work required and provided options, Nikki patiently answered my queries and yesterday Callum and his team managed the installation very effectively, efficiently and neatly. Throughout SmartFlow were very pleasant and easy to deal with; their quotation was competitively priced and very good value for money. I can thoroughly recommend them.

Smartflow carried out some very complicated pipework for us to try and improve our water flow. They worked tirelessly to overcome every obstacle which included liaising with numerous neighbours, tracking pipes that disappeared under people's extensions and, where necessary laying new pipes and installing new stopcocks to ensure everyone was kept connected. Communication with the office and the workmen was excellent throughout and we were very happy with the results, as were our neighbours.

During the past 9 days, the Smartflow team have worked above and beyond what we could ever have expected, to fix leaks in the mains water pipeline serving our South Yorkshire Hamlet of 19 properties. They have had to search for elusive fissures in over 750m of ground and several branch pipes to dwellings, They worked both of the past Sundays and a few long days to get us back online as soon as they could, All of our residents are delighted with the very positive attitude from all at Smartflow, and admire the knowledge and skills the company have applied.

I had good deal of hesitation on posting this revie. I apologize for being long . However, the implications that it could have had on my apartment is serious and I had to share my experience. I contacted smartflow for clogged kitchen sink. The service is well organized when it comes to handling phone calls and providing someone to come and visit on short notice. Price wise, it was kinda pricey to ask for £100 for an hour charge, in addition to whatever parking fee (which I thought to be silly , the parking fee is part of your needs to come and do your job, but I said whatever). The plumber came, used plunger (splashing fluid all over the place including the ceiling) , disassembled the pipes under the sink (kitchen counter), nothing major was clogged. I suggested to him to shove in the snake device that I had, he preferred using his device and after very quick attempt, nothing happened. I was told the sink remains clogged. In addition to the fact the plumber coming by couldn’t unclogged the sink, he mentioned that the drain under the floor in my apartment is the problem and the cause that it remains clogged. The instruction was to contact a drain engineer. This seemed to be such a massive job and cost to dig the drain pipe from under the floor! I had a hunch that he didn’t do a good job. I went and I bought the very same plunger gun from B&Q. I noticed that the sink had two drains. In order to get effective air propulsion you need to clog /occlude one drain (which the plumber failed to recognize). So I did occlude one under water seal with clothe, used the plunger gun 5-7 times and the drain opened up. No drain engineer, no digging, no breaking in the tiles and surely no huge bill that would have burden me financially The sad part, I called the management to explain what happened. The reaction was more like 🤷‍♂️! When a non professional person gets outcome that professional couldn’t , it sends a message that there is something wrong here! You coming out without achieving a desired result, indicates that it is a basic call for paying bills without outcome. This payment model encourages that professionals don’t go beyond their duties to help people. I paid the bill in full cause I promised to do that, but I feel if a business has integrity should take responsibility towards their outcomes. The management response to what happened was disappointing! Good lesson!

Great, efficient service with an incredibly hard working team. Resolved a supply pipe issue for me quickly and where issues arose, these were resolved fast and within the initial quoted costs.

Mark arrived at our rearranged appointment on time and did a thorough investigation of the source of our leak. We agreed that he needed to cut a hole in our kitchen ceiling, which revealed the source of the leak. He found a spare part and quoted the total price for the repair, which is exactly what I paid. He covered our surfaces and cleaned thoroughly after completing the repair. I thoroughly recommend this company and will use them again for plumbing or gas issues.

Mark replaced a stop tap that had ceased up. He arrived promptly, and did a really good job. Very happy with replacement tap.

Callum came to dig for a leak which turned out to be quite deep. He dug manually on his own in very hard soil until he was chest height. He completed the job in the time allocated and made the land good when the job was completed. He solved the problem that Severn Trent had been failing to do for 18 months

Mark came round to troubleshoot my boiler/heating system which was not running and displaying an error code. He did a series of checks and was quickly able to figure out where the problem was coming from - which was due to faulty installation from the previous house owner. Marks was really friendly and helpful, explaining to me what was going on, and offered to correct the issues there and then. He then did an efficient job fitting the new parts and checking the system over to make sure it was running properly. We had our bathroom renovated this summer, which involved repositioning the toilet, causing the pipe to twist three times with a 90-degree turn finish. Within a week, the toilet flooded, and the original contractor couldn’t fix it, suggesting we move the toilet back to its original spot. This would have ruined our layout, damaged tiles, and left us with no space. We were devastated. As a last hope, I contacted SmartFlow Services after reading their positive reviews. From the moment they came for an evaluation, I felt reassured. The plumber was professional, polite, and confident he had a solution without needing to reposition the toilet entirely—just a minor adjustment to the side for better pipe alignment with a better pipe. This was a relief, and after receiving a quote, we decided to proceed. Within a week, he returned with another colleague, and they completed the job quicker than expected, which was a pleasant surprise. We did experience a small leak after the job was done, but when I called them back, they resolved it free of charge, even though they weren't sure whether it was their issue or a pre-existing fault. Had a new water pipe fitted to our house. The service from start to finish was excellent. From the first contact, to the survey visit, the quote, the explanations of what will be done and the actual work, everything was straight forward and hassle free. The workers were brilliant and tidied up after. A slight mix up in communication about when the internal connection would take place was swiftly rectified when the company owner came out to connect the supply so we would not be without water longer than necessary. Smart Flow just replaced the water supply pipe for me, and I'm so pleased. They came to survey and I told them that our block paving driveway is brand new, and they were able to recommend a way of putting the new pipe in where they didn't have to dig it all up, but could just do a few holes and use some specialist equipment to pass it all through underground. I think they called it moleing? This is what they did, and they reinstated it all afterwards for me, leaving everything as good as new. The engineers Dan and Callum were knowledgeable, professional, and very helpful. Would highly recommend.

Smartflow came out today after reporting it yesterday that my current boiler care company had said my boiler was dangerous and shut it off leaving me without heating or hot water for 5 days. I can’t believe how quickly Smartflow came out. Was literally hours from reporting the issue to my Insurer to Mark knocking on my door. We had a complete loss of heating and hot water. Mark from SmartFlow Services was with us very quickly and accurately diagnosed the fault within a few minutes. Due to some restrictions on our home insurance, we had to get an engineer from another company to conduct another inspection. The other company gave a different diagnosis and left us confused. Mark then returned and took the time to walk us through his diagnosis procedure and demonstrate how he could be absolutely certain of the fault, which were then able to promptly fix. I had numerous boiler Quotes. SmartFlow was the only Company that sent out Mark Poole Heating Engineer. Explained and gave an exact fair price. Mark and Dan fitted the boiler. Top class service from start to finish. From putting carpet protector down and ensuring jugs of water were available for me to installing the boiler, bricking up a gap in the wall, tidying everything up and then explaining the boiler and thermostat. Would highly recommend. Can't believe anybody would give anything less than a 5*....unless they only had sweeteners when Mark took 2 sugars!!!

Josh arrived on-time after ringing to advise he was on his way, He wore overshoes and was professional and understanding regarding my mums indoor stopcock which was jammed. Supplied and fitted a New Baxi Combination boiler to replace a 30 year old standard boiler including system alterations and additional pipework needed. The 2 guys from Smart Flow Mark and Josh worked extremely hard and stayed late to complete the installation in 2 days quoted. I cannot praise them both enough for their hard work. They were both very efficient and friendly. Well done guys. I would highly recommend Smart flow and will definitely use their services again.👍

Josh came round to fix our toilet that was leaking from somewhere. He quickly stripped the toilet out to find the source of the leak, secured the elements that needed fixing and put it back together in no time at all! He was in and out in no time and has fixed my issue so can’t fault it at all, would really recommend this company and especially Josh - he’s a credit to the company!

Very happy with Smartflow, Josh J was immediately on it identifying and the fixing the problem (which although only a little job). He explained everything he was doing and why and was clearly focused on properly fixing the issues correctly and not trying to inflate works. Will be using again.

First class service from Josh had to remove rusted bolts from inside the toilet system which was more challenging than first thought. The leak had caused damage to the ceiling below but he persisted to ensure a great repair when faced with time constraints. Overall a very happy customer.

We had a leaking water supply pipe , first noticed in May last year, our insurance company provided a contractor to do the work . After 7 months of disruption the leak had not been found . After our complaints the insurer changed the contractor to SmartFlow Services . Within 3 days SmartFlow had sent an engineer dug a hole and upon not finding the supply pipe arranged to fit a new pipe This meant closing the road , which required Council approval . This took several weeks , but once given , Ryan , Dan1and Dan2 arrived and began work . After 2 days of hard work , new pipe fitted , all holes filled { including 3 holes left by previous contractor ] garden repaired and paths relayed . Cannot give enough praise to all at SmartFlow , Efficient, polite informative , hard working and from the bottom of a 2 meter hole with mud up to his knees a sense of humour ! Thanks a million Guys and not forgetting Nicky !

Excellent customer service. Came to replace a condemned boiler and did so within 48 hours. Engineer (Mark) was friendly and knowledgeable and explained everything I needed to know about the work he was doing and how to operate the new boiler. Price was competitive, and the work was completed in a single day, despite needing scaffolding for the outdoor part of the job.

Great service recently by SmartFlow, as well by the engineer Mark who came out. After filling in an online enquiry one afternoon after developing a fault with my boiler, a service/diagnosis was arranged for the following day. My boiler had various issues which Mark gave a clear explanation of, as well as an honest appraisal of the repair costs. Being a relatively old and poor quality boiler, I decided it made more sense to install a new one. The installation was complicated due to scaffolding being required to access the external flue, but despite that the installation was arranged for the following day, much faster than I would have expected. On the day, despite it not being his or SmartFlow's fault, Mark and his colleagues went above and beyond to solve a problem caused by the scaffolders so that the job would be completed that day. It's also clear from the neatness of the pipework below the boiler that Mark went about his work care and attention to detail.

I’ve been having issues with my central heating system and hot water which are both generated through the same boiler, for the last 5 months. Other contracted providers have failed to resolve the problem despite 5 previous visits. Yesterday all that changed. Mark attended, helpful, informative and highly professional. He took time to read and listen to the passed failed repairs! After two hours of nonstop work he finally resolved the issues. Just wanted to say what a fabulous chap Mark is. He serviced my boiler this morning in Selby and as well as being super professional, he was very friendly. I loved that he had slipper type shoes to put over his boots and without having to ask, he put them on before walking on the carpets in my bedrooms. Tell him I wish him all the best with his photo shoot! And also my best to him and his partner when their new baby arrives. An absolute pleasure even though I had to get up early LOL!

Mark attended for the annual boiler service. He rang 10 mins before arriving and carried out the work in a very polite and professional manner. He was such a nice guy, very friendly and courteous - he even said he would put on shoe protectors before walking on our carpet - such a nice gesture these days! I had a problem with my central heating feed/expansion tank in my loft, there was a constant leak from from the overflow pipe. Josh T from Smartflow turned out on Good Friday and found the Ballcock was passing which he renewed. Used as part of my HomeServe cover, Mark came to service boiler, very efficient, timely and good communication before and throughout.

It's the response when things go wrong that counts and Smart flow really got it right We called them to repair a leaky toilet soil pipe and the work was done very professionally. However, the work created a slow leak from the cistern seal not noticeable immediately. They returned on the same day I told them about this and it was sorted free of further charges. The hourly rate (£99) is high but we'll worth it given the service. He was on site well over an hour for the first call out but they only charged for the hour. Took payment over the phone before he left. They also want a deposit up front which is fair enough. Tbh their payment system helped make things very efficient.

In response to a Home emergency call to our home insurers, Mark of "Smartflowservices" attended promptly (within 2 hours - travelling from Barnsley to York). He informed us he was on the way and estimated arrival time which immediately put our minds at rest. He was extremely professional (wearing show covers on entering the property to protect our carpets - a very professional touch) and quickly identified and corrected the issue within our heating system relating to a leaking Magnaclean valve. I had provided SmartFlow with a list of jobs, and questions, and so when Josh T arrived he assessed each issue and advised me on my options. Once action was agreed Josh sorted things out quickly and efficiently. I subsequently contacted SmartFlow with a follow up question and they were quick to send Dan to explain something that I'd misunderstood, and demonstrate that everything was working as it should. I'm very pleased with the work done and the friendly and helpful approach shown by Josh and Dan on site (and Prez in the office).

Very quick response to our request for boiler servicing and a possible fault. Mark visited to service the boiler and arrived when he said he would, despite the snow. He was very professional, polite and friendly and explained what he had done and gave us advice for the future. I would definitely recommend the company and Mark for any heating maintenance or problems. I hope he got to the rest of his jobs safely as the snow was coming thick and fast when he left us.

Booked SmartFlow for a boiler service and gas safety certificate just before Christmas. The engineer (unfortunately forgot his name!) was really friendly and professional. He knew a lot about boilers and was happy to talk about the ins-and-outs of different systems and brands, which I think is always a good sign! Had a good chat and left us with all our required paperwork. Will definitely use them again next year.

Dan came out today (within a couple of hours of me ringing up) and fixed a leak that had been troubling us. Professional and friendly service from Dan and he fixed the issue very quickly by replacing a section of leaking pipe. Last two plumbers that came round blamed the leak on the shower sealant and didnt look any further but Dan listened when we told him we hadnt been using it but the leak mark on the cieling was still getting bigger. Everything was put back (floorboards, carpet etc) after the job was done.

My engineer was Mark, top guy, courteous, professional and knew his stuff . More than happy to have him back to service my boiler next year

The engineer informed us of his arrival time and was polite and courteous during his visit. He explained the task and kept us informed of any issues which arose during his visit. There was an issue with Homeserve on the service contract, he explained that he was unsure if the pump was covered under the warranty. During his telephone conversation he spoke with ‘Leah’ at Homeserve who could not give him a answer so he bleed the system and achieve an improvement in the warm water flow and told me Homeserve would be in touch when a decision had been completed. The engineer couldn’t have done anymore and the problem was Homeserve who couldn’t make a decision.

Mark from Smartflow sent by my ins company to repair a broken boiler. Can't speak highly enough. Knowledgeable, clean, tidy quick and extremely efficient. Don't get this sort of service these days and I'm hard to impress.

Mark was professional, experienced, polite and cheery. There was a fault in our system and we were without heating and hot water, it had been -3 outside that day! Mark promptly and confidently diagnosed the problem and replaced the broken pump without any mess at all! He even wore carpet protectors over his boots which I really appreciated as this doesn’t always happen with some company’s. I had a warming house and running hot water by the time he left (approx 1hr) I could not be more grateful :)

Mark assessed the boiler fault and carried out the repairs very efficiently and helpfully. It was a pity that it was marred by longer delails than normal awaiting parts, 10 days in total. However Mark did make up for most of this disappointment.

Ryan Hobson SmartFlow Services accepted my job to fix my shower and bath a month ago. I've been waiting a month now for the visit and have no hot water in my bath / shower with a 5 and 7 year old, in sub zero weather. Totally unprofessional. Annual boiler service Mark called to let me know he was on route and would be approximately 30 minutes. He arrived on time,carried out his inspection of boiler and tested it . He checked the flu and gas meter. Once he finished all tests and inspection he supplied me with a verbal and written report. Very satisfied with the service.

Mason the engineer was excellent. He fixed all the heating problems that I had been plagued with for the past month. He even called in a 2nd job to be completed whilst he was there, which Homeserve approved on the spot, which saved him leaving and yet again me being left with a leak in my loft, caused by a previous, different Homeserve engineer. Allan visited my property back in March (sorry in the delay) and replaced the stopcock – which had been leaking – as part of a Home Serve call out. He was lovely, efficient and cleaned up after himself. The ‘lovely’ is very important, as the person who was sent out to my property the first time had refused to do the job – as the paperwork didn’t tally up – and when I said I was going to call the office to sort it – he shouted at me, told me he would refuse the job if they amended it and scared me in my own home.
