Ben Coulter Electrical Ltd

Highly recommended - I couldn't fault them. Ben was incredibly helpful and generous with his time in providing the initial quote and in discussing potential options. Mac was super professional, efficient and tidy in carrying out the work. The whole team are super friendly and the communication throughout was top notch. I wouldn't hesitate to have them back for future work.

great job and good advice, thank you

I highly recommend Ben Coulter Electrical. Ben and Mac have completed several jobs for me, most recently installing an EV charger. Their work is always outstanding and carried out with great care and expertise. They are highly professional, responsive, and reliable. I consistently receive an excellent service from them and wouldn’t consider going anywhere else for electrical work. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Very grateful to Ben's team for helping us out after a roof leak damaged ceiling lighting in our utility room, and for testing throughout the house. We'll be having them back to sort out a couple of things that need updating.

Really impressed with the work that was completed. It was promptly arranged and then carried out tidily and efficiently by Jack. Highly recommended.

We used Ben and his team for our full rewire when we bought an old house in Letchworth. Mac and Ethan were fabulous. Polite, friendly and super clean especially considering it’s a big and messy job. They were endlessly patient as little extras kept popping up. Ben’s communication and response time was great. Would highly recommend.

Excellent service from Ben and Jack. They responded quickly to an urgent request for work to be carried out, did a first class job, and at a very reasonable rate. Ben took the time to answer my questions give valuable advice on the best way forward. Jack did a totally professional job and was friendly, helpful and very tidy. I would definitely recommend them

Second time I've used Ben Coulter Electrical and very happy with the service provided. Ben was responsive and helpful and his Electrician turned up on time and did a great job. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend this company.

Very good communication. Good price and more Importantly a good job done. The lad that did the job was polite professional and tidy. Would use again and recommend to anyone to use. *Update * Since using for a few small jobs (take out a light and put in a plug) I then had them wire all rooms with cat 6 internet cables so all tvs are hard wired ( no longer need wi fi). Now I have had them back to wire my exstension and my new kitchn. If you need electrical work done Ben's your man. Honestly I would not recommend him if I did not belive this.

We've used Ben Coulter Electrical a few times, once for an electrical inspection before the purchase of a house and a second time for the remedial work that was recommended. Throughout we have been impressed with the speedy communication, fair quoted prices and the level of work that was provided. All of the employees we dealt with as well were extremely polite, courteous and helpful. We had researched a few electricians in the area before choosing Ben Coulter Electrical, and we're delighted with the choice we made. If you need an electrician and you're in the area Ben Coulter services then they should be your first choice.

Great company to deal with. Got a quick job quoted, booked and completed within a few days. The electrician was friendly and helpful. His work was very neat and tidy. I enquired about a few other things and the electrician was knowledgeable and was able to advise me. I have already requested a quote for more work and will definitely continue to use them in the future as they are really good and local to me. Would highly recommend!

Would recommend these guys for any electrical work. Very knowledgeable and great service!

Ben was very helpful and polite when I needed work done. Will definitely be using his company again. Couldn’t recommend enough

can't fault this company...excellent work( which wasn't easy, superb staff and left my home clean 👍

Ben provided a quick quote for three jobs that we needed done, booked a date to do the work, and stuck to it. Mac arrived on time, was polite, professional and did a great job – checking what we wanted done, and explaining the work after he had done it. Very happy with the finished work and the level of service. Great job – thank you.

Would recommend - have used for a couple of jobs. Turn up when they say they will and get the job done - which can't be said for everyone!

I had a problem with the electrics in my man cave. I contacted Ben and he sent 2 of his guys over the same day and they fixed my problem quickly and for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend this business.

We have used them twice - once to fit a plug socket in our loft and once to fix loose wiring in our kitchen. Both were sorted out quickly and at a reasonable price.

I’ve used Ben for a couple of jobs now, couldn’t recommend highly enough. Quick and easy communication, taking the time to discuss the job required, and provide recommendations. Will be using going forward.

Ben Coulter Electrical were fantastic, easy to communicate with and quick to respond. Our electrician was extremely helpful and resolved the issue for us.

Friendly, professional and clean service from Ben Coulter Electrical. The quotation arrived promptly with suggested dates for carrying out the works. Operative arrived on time and with all materials and protection to carry out the works as planned. Would recommend this contractor.

Very swift and efficient response to replace a lamp fitting. Much appreciated.

Great service. I've used Ben's team twice now and both times the electricians have been professional, helpful, and solved the issues at the quoted price. I would recommend this company 👍

Ben did a great job at short notice on moving some sockets around and lighting changes for us, can't even see where the work was done, super impressed. Great rate, fast job, excellent results. Thank v much!

Ben's team fitted me in, in an emergency situation, did the electrical work promptly and efficiently.

When we had just moved into our house in Hitchin, I found Ben Coulter's details online. Ben and his team were really great with the work they did on rewiring a part of the house, installing a new consumer unit and ensuring all electricals were safe. They also provided the EICR. Mac was very meticulous and nothing was too much for him. He took his time to explain every detail of work required as he went along. He cleaned up nicely after each day's work. Being a clean freak, I was impressed. All was done at a competitive price.

Came to so some work on internal & external lighting—did a good job but one had to be re-fixed, so sent another guy out within a few minutes. Very professional and agreeable.

Very happy with the response time, the quote and the work. The electrician was very polite and clearly explained the issue. Will definitely use this company again.

Ben's team were really helpful and efficient in dealing with various lighting issues that we needed sorting.

We had two bathroom extractor fans replaced by Ben and his team. Ben was really helpful and the communication and service were excellent.

Ben and his team came over to fix a socket and dimmer switch that needed replacing. Friendly, affordable, professional and on time. Perfect service. Would recommend and will be using him again in the future. - Darren Ling

We received a great service from Ben and his team in replacing some light fittings. The electrician was on time, did a careful job, and left no mess. We would certainly ask them back for more work in the future.

Ben was very quick to respond to my voicemail and was upfront on costs. He committed to sending a sparky the next day to sort my electrical problem. Jack came promptly at 9am, was lovely and polite and tidy. Sorted out the new plug and socket with no issues. Great communication from Ben. Would recommend and use again.

I have used Ben for different electrical jobs over the years. He has always provided a professional and efficient service 👍🏽

Ben arrived and checked the jos I wanted completed within 48 hours I was sent a quote for the work I wanted completed. He was polite and professional. He arranged a date for one of his electrician to carry out the job. Prior to the job I got a text with the electrician name and time of arrival. Jack was polite and professional and carried out the work and cleared up each job. I highly recommend Ben Coulter Electrical Ltd and look forward to using them again.

Ben did some rewiring work for us when we took on a renovation project and he was great! Quick communication with excellent advice, reasonable price, and we were very pleased with his work. Would recommend!

Absolutely excellent. Ben sent an expert team round within a couple of hours of my call. Brilliant service from Jack and Ethan, who were professional, polite, thorough, and put everything back in its place once the job was done. One very happy customer. Thank you so much!

I contacted Ben to quote for some small electrical jobs required around the house. The response and communication was very quick and knowledgeable in terms of what I was looking to have done. The quoted price was also very reasonable and on looking online already had some great review from others in the area. The electrician that turned up was called Mac, who’s work standards and ethic was exemplary. He had a great positive attitude and was very polite to talk to. The work was completed in a timely and clean manner and have to say if I get any other electrical work done. So thank you to Mac there. I will definitely be going back to these guys. Thank you for the work. Highly recommended.

Ben Coulter Electrical Ltd , a fantastic job was carried out at my property and I would really recommend that this company be used should anyone a reliable electrician, although Ben sent his colleague Jack to carry out the work, the service was very good with no issues thanks again lads.

We had a tv a new socket and light switch fronts installed, great work and very clean.

Very good and efficient communications via WhatsApp. Electrician arrived promptly and did a great job, leaving everything clean and tidy afterwards. Would recommend without hesitation!

We had been trying for many weeks to find an electrician to install a couple of wall lights and three sockets in our bedroom. After being let down by many electricians we contacted Ben for a quote. Ben replied very promptly and after sending a video of our requirements we received his quote and a date on which the work could be completed. The date was within a week which was perfect for us as we had a plasterer booked shortly after. On the day the guys were friendly, polite and we felt confident in their work. They advised us on the positioning and the job was completed to a high standard leaving everywhere tidy. They were a pleasure to have in our home. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company and we will definitely be using them in the future.

Easy to communicate with and a quick, professional service. No complaints, happy to recommend!

Ben was hired to Install a new cooker circuit in our property. Price was as expected, work done was excellent and we were kept informed throughout. Highly recommended.

Have used this company on several occasions and found them to be efficient, reasonably priced and easily contactable when we've required a quick electrical job. Last job of fitting bathroom mirror with demister, lights etc wasn't exactly straightforward and was carried out with no hassle and we were delighted with the final result.

Brilliant service, really fast response times and reasonable pricing. We've used Ben and his team a few times and everyone who has come out has been incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. We will absolutely be using them in the future!

Ben and team have been brilliant on a couple of different jobs they’ve helped me out on since moving into a new property. Very responsive, punctual and informative of the electrics in my house. I will definitely call them again for any future electrical works.

Over a decade, Ben and his team have provided an excellent service for electrical problems which have popped up around the house. He and his team work to time, are neat, skilled, polite and charge a fair price. Mac, from his team came this time and quickly sorted out the electrics to our cooker, which had caused the oven to cut out. This was in stark contrast to the electrician sent by the manufacturer, who couldn’t sort it out, even after 2 visits and replacing the oven timer. I would highly recommend Ben and his team.

Really fantastic service! Great communication, prompt, super helpful, non patronising. Brilliant value and will definitely use again.

Amazing service. We had a range of jobs some of which previous trades hadn’t managed to resolve. Jack was very professional and even happily coped with our crazy cockapoo! Will definitely use again and recommend.

Highly recommended. Ben and his colleague did us a great job at a very reasonable price. Ben is extremely knowledgeable and gave us great advice on a range of jobs. Would definitely use again and would happily recommend to anyone.

Used twice, excellent, reliable and professional service on both occasions.

I would definitely use Ben again for any electrical work needed. He did say my house did not need a total rewire and was able to fix the electrics that were broken

Great quality work from Jack. Punctual and polite. Highly recommended.

Ben and his team and helped us out with electrical faults and new lights for our businesses. Ben has been professional and helpful at all times and his team always doing a great job! Thanks again.

Ben and his team were amazing! Very to the point, flexible (which went well with my indecision), quality installation and good communication. I will monitor the works and provide an update, but so far - so good. Highly recommended! Already booking some additional works.

Really fast response and installed my new light perfectly!

Communication was good, and the work was done to a good standard and to the agreed schedule

Ben was very courteous, helpful and reasonably priced .We would use him again and recommend him to others.

Have used the firm twice; 1stly to fix a set of lights in our conservatory and then to replace some lights in the bathroom. On both occasions, the work was done to a very high standard and despite (in one case) the job taking longer than expected due to location of the transformer, there was only a marginal increase from the quoted estimate. Delighted with the level of service

Ben responded quickly with competitive quote. Arrived on time as agreed. Work carried out with little fuss. Happy with the installation, installed as planned in short time. Good job, will use services again.

Very reliable and work excellent!

Ben and his team did a great job replacing our spotlights. They were quick, professional and good value. Would recommend.

I’ve used this company twice now for two different jobs, both were completed to a very high standard. The communication when booking was excellent and they were very accommodating to work around our schedule. Helpful and friendly staff, we will definitely be using them again for any electrical work and fully recommend them to anyone in the area.

Ben and team are my go-to for all my electrical jobs at my home in Letchworth. I have used for light fitting changes, socket changes, and moving lights around. From the first quote to the most recent always competitively priced, and a professional efficient and tidy job done. The team are all very friendly to deal with too. Highly recommend!

Very professional, work was ver well done, I would recommend to anyone.

Great service. Repaired an issue we had with an electric shower - came out and dealt with it quickly, nice neat job, good communication throughout, very courteous, and reasonable cost also. I would highly recommend Ben and the team.

Ben arrived at our agreed time and carried out the work required in a tidy way. He explained what work was required and why, which was useful to understand. Thank you Ben!

My kitchen wiring needed to be updated for a new layout and change from gas to electric ovens. In project terms, the wiring should have been done (or planned for) sooner – like when the floors upstairs could be lifted and before new carpets were laid, but it didn’t work out that way. A good friend recommended I should contact Ben Coulter. He wasn’t wrong. Ben was great – not only did he respond to my enquiry promptly, even though I know he was busy, *he* was chasing *me* for information – it’s usually the other way around. Ben sets the standards and is careful, meticulous, tidy and thinks through the solution in the optimum way. He leads a small team of electricians and all three of them – Ben, Mac and apprentice Jack - worked on the wiring. It’s clear he trains his team really well and as a result, has a cheerful, friendly and professional crew who did a very effective and tidy job (all the power points neatly in line), included a bit of trouble shooting and tidying up of previous electrical work, all with the appropriate documentation – and you’d never have known they’d had to go beneath the floor in the adjacent room. Many thanks to all three of the team. So would I recommend Ben Coulter Electrical? You bet I would.

Installed power and electrics to our garden pergola. The job was completed on schedule at the price quoted and to a good standard. Would recommend.

Had our bathroom extractor fan installed earlier in the year. Ben and his team were professional and got the job done to a high standard. Totally recommend their service, we will be using them again in the future

Really impressed with Ben and the team. Ben was really responsive with messages and the work that the team came and did was done quickly, and they cleaned up really well afterwards. Very happy customer!

Despite the difficulties presented by covid Ben and his team were able to do exactly what we needed. Great service and advice from Ben himself and the guy who did the actual work. Can not recommend highly enough and will be using Ben’s services again.

I've used Ben Coulter several times for lighting installations, replacement of shower cabling, and for fuse box upgrade and testing. Ben and his team have provided excellent service, they are punctual, clean and tidy, they show a high level of knowledge about what they are doing and provide helpful advice when needed. Finding a professional for electrical works in the home can be difficult and daunting but I would have no hesitation in recommending Ben Coulter to anyone looking for a reliable electrician.

Reliable service. Very polite and courteous. Clean, tidy job. Would recommend.

Very efficient and professional service. Would definitely hire Ben and his colleagues again

Ben and the team have been really helpful and accommodating. Great service! Highly recommend them.

When you need someone to rely on and trust,Ben Coulter is your man.. Had him back for 4 different jobs now, goes above and beyond to help out. Keep up the good reliable work,no issues at all.

I had Ben, Mac and Jack around on multiple occasions to replace an old bathroom ceiling extractor fan and then upgrade some dimmer switches to led compatible ones. They were very friendly and professional! The jobs both were done to an excellent standard, no more dodgy fan or flickering lights! Highly recommended

The trip switch was broken and kept causing my ceiling lights to go off. Ben replaced it charging only a small fee for the part and the standard call-out fee. I was expecting it to cost a lot more. The work was carried out efficiently and on time. I would definitely recommend Ben Coulter without hesitation.

Ben helped to upgrade our apartment electrical consumer / fuse box at a much more realistic cost following a poor survey and very costly quote from another company. Ben's professional and helpful approach, together with the work completed to time and estimates was greatly appreciated. Highly recommended.

I have used this company twice now and on both occasions I have found Ben to be responsive, polite and above all professional. I recently had to have a new electric wall heater installed in a rental property which he also sourced at a reasonable price, liaised with my tenant and kept me informed. All in all a good all round service. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

I have used Ben and his team a few times recently. Excellent service. He always keeps you informed. Always arrive when advised and do a brilliant job. They have done various electrical work for me from small to larger jobs. They have just fitted a new consumer unit for me as well. Highly recommended.

Genuinely cannot fault the service I received from Ben and his team from start to finish. They were professional and knowledgeable. Explained everything to me in simple terms rather than bombarding me with technical terms that I didn’t understand. They were efficient yet thorough and left my home in a clean and tidy manner. Overall I would recommend them in a heart beat. Thanks again!

Really helpful when I made my enquiry. Friendly professionals attended to install outdoor plug sockets for hottub. Work to a very high standard, fully explained everything to me after installation and did not leaveca scrap of mess or dust. Will use Ben Coulter again in the future, highly recommended

Ben was efficient, organised and knowlegeable and we will be using him again

I recently moved in to a new property and needed some lights fitting. Ben was easy to contact and knew exactly what I needed with my vague description! and was also on hand to recommend some specialty light bulbs I enquired about. They were able to do it in no time at all, punctual, polite and professional, Would definitely recommend, now my go to guys!

Very lovely electricians who respond quickly and have provided myself and my parents with a great service. Installing inside and outside lights, rewiring and testing all done feeling comfortable in your own home and very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend and will use in the future.

Installed new extractor fan, nice professional job.

Very happy with the service received. Good communication with first contact, turned up when he said he would, explained the job and costs and got on with it in a professional manner. Can’t ask for more than that really can you? Would use again if I needed any more electrical work done.

Ben Coulter electricians had a great positive approach from the start and were able to run a tv aerial from the eaves to a downstairs room- something other electricians said couldn’t be done. They were very professional and I am delighted with the end result plus they were reasonably priced too. I will definitely be calling on their services next time I need anything done.

Ben has carried out work at our house on a number of occasions and has always been efficient and very capable. The same can be said for his team. The works carried out have been both internal and external, and also involved rectifying issues left unresolved by other tradespeople. Ben is always up front and very honest about what could/should be done - even if this reduces the fee he is owed. I can not recommend Ben highly enough, and he will always be my 'go to' for any electrical works.

Great service. They presented various options to replace our lights and fan, and sourced the parts for us. Very thorough, professional, and friendly. Wouldnt hesitate to use again or recommend. Thanks guys.

Ben Coulter Electrical Ltd are now my go-to electrician. I've used them numerous times and will continue to. Fast, reliable, honest and trustworthy. I would recommend them to anyone.

Ben has done a few jobs for myself and my sister. Changed light fittings and put sockets outside for us. Completely reliable and friendly service. I would highly recommend these guys

Ben undertook the electrical system check and some installation work at my wife's take away restaurant. He, and his colleagues, impressed us with their efficiency, knowledge and good humour. All the work was carried out to a high standard, on time, with minimal disruption and no mess left behind at all. We are more than happy to recommend Ben Coulter Electrical Ltd. and have every intention of continuing to use them ourselves at the restaurant.

Ben and his team turned up bang on time, in company uniform , and polite, and friendly just as you'd expect from good professional tradesmen. The work was completed just as described, the team are clearly very competent and knowledgeable, and were clean, tidy, efficient and professional throughout. Nice guys, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Excellent professional services, prompt and concise, did what it said on the tin.... Brilliant!

We got Ben in to do some minor bits and pieces round the house, like changing light fittings etc. He did a quick, thorough job and left the areas looking tidy and finished, filling any holes left behind from the previous fittings. We would use him again the next time we needed work doing.

Fair pricing. Quality work and cleanup after. Took all protective measures. Highly recommended.

We used Ben Coulter to do our electrics in our garden landscaping project. Ben was excellent to work with. He did exactly what he said he would do within price quoted and was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Ben for any electrical work. Gill Wilson Hertfordshire

Ben has completed two lots of work for me and has always been punctual, reliable and value for money. I would thoroughly recommend him.

Ben is a great electrician. He is very knowledgeable and gives sound advice. He leaves the rooms he has been working in clean and tidy. He is punctual and always responds to emails, messages and phone calls.

Ben inspected the work required and gave lots of useful advice beforehand. I was able to text him with links to suitable light fixtures and when he came to the work itself, it was done quickly and professionally. He not only insured the work was neat but the place was spotless when he left. I couldn’t recommend Ben highly enough!

Ben and Mac installed power and lighting in my new workshop. They also fitted under cupboard lighting in my kitchen. I cannot praise them enough for their high standard of workmanship, courteous attitude and professionalism. It's very reassuring that there are still some qualified trades people who do a great job at a fair price and within the quoted time scales. I would not hesitate to recommend this excellent service. Thanks Ben and good luck with your business in the future.

High quality installation of power, lighting and data to the cabin in our garden. Ben did a great job and good communication throughout. Highly recommended.

Ben and team did a great job in under taking some rewriting at our house and did this really safely, quickly and professionally! Thanks again Ben.

Highly recommend Ben’s service. Fitted a new fuse box and undertook general electrical remedials around our new (very old) house.

Best electrician ever. Been using Ben since we moved to Hitchin seven years ago. No task was too great and the quality of work was always of the highest. Pity we couldn't take him with us to Spain!

Brilliant electrician, honest, trustworthy, friendly and did my ceiling light.. converting an attach old ceiling light to hanging pendant and was tidy, quick and did a great job.. now I have my beautiful feathered light shade in my living room.

Had some lighting work done in the house and Ben his lads were brilliant, tidy, informative and came up with ideas for things. Thanks.

I have used Ben's services before and will again in the future. Friendly, professional, trustworthy & knows what his doing. Job done.

Very pleased with Ben's work, installed outdoor spotlights in porcelain paving slabs, not an easy task. They look great. Ben has carried various jobs for us and have always been very pleased with his work and helpful suggestions. Cheers

Ben fitted an extractor fan, wall sockets, ceiling light and loft light for us. He did a fantastic job on all of them, keeping me updated with how everything was going. Ben had to move some furniture but put everything back exactly where it came from and tidied /cleaned up (even using our steam cleaner!!!). We could not have been happier with the work done and have recommended him to to basically anyone who'd listen! Thanks Ben!

Just had Ben in to do a number of jobs around the house. All work was completed to a high standard (he used a spirit level to ensure my new power/light switches were level) and no mess at all. All done for a really reasonable price and a real breath of fresh air compared to other tradesmen I've used in the past. I will definitely use him again.

Ben came highly recommended by a neighbour. We just needed the installation of a floodlight for our driveway. A small job but Ben was able to give us clear advice and then executed the work most efficiently and tidily. Ben will certainly be our first choice to quote for any future electrical requirements.

I have used Ben on three separate occasions and cannot recommend him enough as a reliable and honest electrician with very high standards. I have been extremely happy with his work; he will not leave until a job is done properly and he is happy with it. All of these qualities are important to me when finding a skilled tradesman to trust. Finding someone like Ben is rather rare. Highly recommended.

Fitted some down lights and an extractor fan in my bathroom. Did a great job and left the bathroom in clean and tidy. Very friendly guy also helped me out on the phone with a tripping RCD board. Highly recommended.

We've used Ben on two occasions so far. First was to replace bathroom lighting and shower unit. The second was to fit electric oven followed by oven hood. He has been reliable, efficient, polite and has clearly quoted. He and an assistant were hard working to work around hidden surprises in our older house that has quirky wiring ( oven was not on its own circuit.) We've been pleased with all work to date. Ben will be our first point of contact for any future jobs.

Ben, and his colleague rewired the lighting and switch positions in my living room, Ben also fitted a chandelier above my fire place. I was happy with his reliability. The price I paid was the original price as quoted. A professional service and friendly Electrician. Ben also put me in touch with other tradesman whom also proved to be very reliable and trustworthy.
