Why is there no monthly fee?

Lead sites charge you to be seen and sell one job to several firms. Tradehand only earns when you get paid.

What does an office actually cost compared with Tradehand?

Most traders are not choosing between apps. They are choosing between hiring someone, paying every month and still doing the admin themselves, or having it done for them. Figures checked 25 July 2026.

• Office admin, half-time£1,135 a month

  An office manager starts at £25,000 a year. Half-time that is £12,500, plus £1,125 employer National Insurance. Before pension, holiday cover, equipment or the cost of hiring.

• Office admin, full-time£2,333 a month

  £25,000 salary plus £3,000 employer National Insurance. You pay it every month, busy or quiet.

• Phone answering service£15 to £55 a month, plus every call

  Then £0.99 to £2.50 a call. They answer and take a message. They don't quote the job, chase the quote, send the invoice or collect the money.

• Job management softwareA monthly fee, usually per person

  You pay it whether the work comes in or not, and it goes up when you take someone on. You are still the one doing the admin at 9pm.

How does the 5% work?

Tradehand earns a flat 5% of the invoices it chases and collects for you, from the first payment. There is no monthly charge, so a month with nothing collected costs nothing.
