Had the worst experience with Hudsons, just needed a hose replaced in my flat. Guy came out, took my flat apart, said he would be back 9am next day, wasn't so had to call the office three times before they told me that the issue was for my management company to fix and they had spoken to the management company. They hadn't spoken to my management company at all, and it seems that they were just lazy. I wouldn't use them again.

After years of trying different plumbing firms we found Hudson who we’re delighted with! It starts with the team on the phones who are in close contact with their team of plumbers so they coordinate a visit as soon as possible.Everyone seems invested in the firm so give you the best customer service. After fixing, installing or servicing, they give you really helpful advice for maintenance.

Hudson's did an excellent job at renovating my entire property. They installed my lovely kitchen, flooring, electrics, plumbed in a wet room, fitted new doors, and many more. They worked solidly and they went above and beyond to ensure the property looked to the plan and how I envisioned. They took great care and all of the contractors were wonderful. They arrived promotly, carried out the work to a very high standard, were so thoughtful about accessibility and not leaving items lying around to ensure easy access for me, and were just all round fantastic. Since the original renovation, I've had them back to do other work, which I think shows how much I rate them. Would absolutely recommend and use again in the future.

Brilliant service, had problems with boiler, decided i needed a new one on Thursday evening, by Saturday morning a new one was fitted and all working by the end of the day for the tenants as had children and very cold weather, brilliant for call outs the same day, highly recommended
Excellent service provided by Hudson Plumbing and Heating when we needed a new boiler the week before Christmas. Neil and Paul provided an exemplary service coming out on Saturday and Sunday to ensure we were up and running before the big day. They even lent us temporary heaters to use while we were waiting for the new boiler to arrive. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them and the lovely lady on the telephone is super friendly too.

Hudson completed a complicated boiler replacement for us in 4 days. Paul, Andy and Neil, together with their electricians, were a pleasure to have in the house during the operation. Always polite and considerate they undertook the work with a minimum of intrusion, and explained every aspect of their work in detail and in language we could understand. The quality if their work has been exemplary and we would not hesitate to recommend them.

Very happy with quality of work in removing a broken macerator and re-fitting toilet and rerouting waste to no longer require the macerator, saving me money and creating a lower maintenance solution. Paul came to quote, and then Neil and Louis attended the job the following week. Work was of high quality and tidy. One union had a very, very slight weep, and an engineer was out the morning after it was spotted to resolve. Cannot fault and will use again.

Came out on the same day I called when our boiler sprang a leak. Stopped the leak but came out again the next morning to fit a new pump that was apparently needed. Very prompt efficient service. Very courteous office staff.
I have used Hudson on a number of occasions and I have never had any reason to be anything other than 100% happy. The office staff are friendly and understanding, the people arrive when they say they will, resolve the issue whatever it is and charge a reasonable price. Their final bill is invariably less than the estimate. Cannot recommend them enough!
The plumber, Brian, was punctual, very polite and did a great job fixing a leaking toilet which turned out to be a lot more problematic than originally thought due to some previous bad workmanship. Would certainly recommend and will not hesitate to use again in the future.

We had Paul out to inspect what work would be involved, he was polite and knowledgeable and had the quote sent over to us very quickly. The job was booked in quickly with the office team and completed within 2 days by Neil and Louis - the lads were great, polite, tidy and friendly! The job was checked over by Adrian to make sure all was up to code and all correct paperwork was conveniently sent over to us by email. Hudson have been absolute stars to us over many years. They have replaced a boiler, they complete annual inspections and the experience is always professional. This last year they were not happy with the Gas connection (which is the responsibility o of British Gas) so they replaced that at no charge! Could not rate more highly. The price is always very reasonable too.

I can't speak highly enough of Paul and the Hudson team. My elderly parents were struggling with an outdated, cramped shower and bathroom setup. Paul visited us on multiple occasions to offer recommendations, leaving brochures for us to choose our new bathroom setup. Once we gave the green light, we only had to wait a short time for the work to commence. Their first task was removing the dividing wall to create a spacious bathroom. They then completely revamped the space, installing a large non-slip shower tray, shower, bath, sink, toilet, cabinet, panels, lighting, radiator, and automatic extractor fan. They also took care of the flooring and finishing touches like painting and putting up mirrors and towel rails. Throughout the process, the team were attentive to my elderly parents’ mobility needs, ensuring handrails and other accessories were installed in appropriate locations. The team were polite, kind, and considerate, making sure the bathroom renovations didn't disrupt my parents' daily routine. The team's dedication to quality was evident in their work. They took pride in their craftsmanship, diligently removing rubbish each evening to keep the workspace clean and tidy. The temporary toilet installed while the renovations were underway was a lifesaver! Even after the main work was complete, Andy returned two weeks later to install an additional towel rail. Overall, the team's skill, knowledge, and pleasant demeanour made the entire process smooth and stress-free. They went out of their way to ensure the new bathroom met my elderly parents' needs. Hudson Plumbing replaced my old and leaking wetroom floor with a great deal of expertise and they used top quality materials. They got the work done from start to finish in 1,5 days, replaced the tiles and put a nice new skirting board all around the bathroom. The workmen were really friendly and professional. They were cleaning up constantly and left no mess at all. The toilet had to be replaced and this was also done in a record time. I would highly recommend Hudson Plumbing to install a perfect and aesthetically pleasing wet room. The materials they used are top notch and no effort was spared to achieve a 5* finish. I am very pleased with their work. PS. The bathroom is in an old flat and yet they managed to make it look like a newbuilt.

I contact care direct in regard to setting up an urgent keysafe for an elderly patient, they completed the referral and so I was then signposted to another person to authorise the referral, once this was done I was told it could take a few days for someone to pick the job up, I called Hudsons and Kim assisted me and the work was done that day, so this enabled my patient to have the health and care needs she required and prevented admission to hospital. Never use this Company. Very Expensive & Over-Priced For Small Jobs.Horrible Customer service. Absolutely Useless. Have used twice before was never a problem with Anything quality of work or time spent on Job. Until used them again recently. Terrible service. Lied about time spent on the job, still awaiting for part of money back (a month later). Never call you back as promised. Very Disappointed as did want to use for loads more work in 2024. But will be going elsewhere.

Hudson did a full re-furb on our very old outdated bathroom, and replaced it with a wonderful new wet room. Couldn't fault the professionalism and workmanship. The various workmen were punctual and always friendly. Totally happy with all the work and the company in general.
This is a honest review and reflection of how the work went for a wet room fitting of a shower tray and flooring. (Was a 4 star until water leak) Did our Engineer turn up at the agreed date & time? Score 1 Was our Engineer polite & courteous? Score 5 How satisfied were you with the service provided? Score 4.5 Was the works completed on time? Score not given as no time scale was told Was your property left clean & tidy at the end of the works? Score 4. When we was cleaning we found silicone all over the toilet seat, this caused us to get slight scratches whilst trying to remove the silicone, which is a shame seeing it was brand new Brian first came to sort out the hand rail. Would you be happy to use Hudson Plumbing & Heating Services again? Score 4.5. Additional Comments: Comment to Point 1 as to why such a low score. The office said First the fitters had a little Job to do on Monday morning but they would be with us in the morning, at 10:30 Am No Show but the Office Said the Same as before, they Showed up at 13:30 Started at 14:00 Left around 4pm. The flooring is missing the 3rd Joint weld by the door threshold and it was not stuck down correctly going up the wall on the Right Side of wall, but clear silicone was used on this join which doesn’t look good when all the other joins are done correctly. We are very concerned the floor join will cause issues in the future. Floor Fitter was heard to Say he made a mistake there to the bathroom fitter. Paul saw this on his visit to sign off the whole job and said the floor fitter will have to come back to resolve this. (When he came back he admitted he was rushing to get onto the plane so have 2 weld joints In floor instead of 1.) inch lAlso there is issues with the window reveal as on the right side there there is a cracked bottom corner, which Paul knows about (as this was pointed out to him when he came back to sort out the leak)and said he would get sorted, but while cleaning it was noticed that the right side hasn’t been cut to the correct depth as the wife can get her finger in the gap between the tile and the trim, the one side is not sat in correctly causing there to be excessive silicone in the corners for example, bottom left is the same width as the wife’s little finger. Also I was just reminded about the 2 fitters that came out on the Monday afternoon names I am not sure of the trainee plumber but the main guy was Kevin, there was a comment made that I overheard which was don’t do too much we want to leek this job out. Thank you for the work your company has done. There has been some bad points as stated above but also there were some good parts so that you. I hope the points listed above helps your company to learn and improve. Also firstly promised a wider and longer shower tray but there was a concrete joist there so couldn’t do a wider tray but could have have been longer but now left with half the length I’m use to, ( this is me being picky) Rework needed as they caused a leak in the loft which caused a stain which Hudson came out fixed the leak and someone had to come out and only put stain block on area affected and not the whole ceiling. Roughly 10 days after work was done we found a water leak on the hot water pipe which was causing rust type stains on the newly fitted tiles and grout. Was told to call out bristol council, (even though I was told all work was guaranteed for 2 years). The council came out the fault was due to a poorly fitted shower which was replaced just before the shower tray. The pipe was on too steep an angle, the ceiling should have been cut out for pipes to be straighter and the olive wouldn’t have been damaged. Also had to fix a leaking water stop tap that was leaking, seems Hudson fitter would have know this was they the tap wasn’t turned on fully it was turned back as to where the tap didn’t leak).So have now got mixed feelings for the work that has been done and the fitters that came to do the work. I have used Hudson Plumbing twice now. I had my boiler serviced and last week a Google Nest Smart Thermostat. Came as arranged nice guy who did a good job, at a fair price, what more can you ask for. He even left his pen as a gift but I think that was a mistake. I will certainly be using the company again. I might even give the pen back.
Paul and team from Hudson installed a new heating system and bathroom in my Victorian terrace house. The work was done to a very high standard.The few snagging issues which naturally emerge in a complex project such as ours were dealt with within a day or two and without any fuss. I live in a accessible council home, my walk shower had been leaking for months. Hudson arrived Mon 27th Feb to repair the bottom parts of my walk in shower room. On the day they found that the prev shower room wasn't water proofed, tiles adhered to the brick. So they gutted it and started again. They thought it would take 10 days approx because the aspects of the job changed. The workmanship of Steve and Kevin has been phenomenal, compared to past council contractors used for the shower room their work has been precise, clean, informative at all times. They have worked extremely hard to ensure the room is finished as quickly as possible but always taking the time to do things correctly. Their work ethic is second to none, I've been pleasantly surprised by how well this refit has gone. I highly recommend Hudson !
My mum had Hudsons to sort out her bathroom which needed an overall upgrade because of faulty flooring, so all the flooring tiling had to be replaced new shower new shower rails moved the radiator boxes in the pipes. They listened to what she wanted/needed and did everything. They were prompt each day cleared up after them selves took all rubbish away promptly, they did a first class job everything to a very high level of finish, the men were lovely and worked so hard.She said it was a a pleasure to meet them and to have them do the work.

I had a new boiler installed by Hudsons in December 21 and they were really very good from start to finish. It was a major job as the flu was vertically positioned in the roof but they just got on with it. They explained everything really well so I could understand. They selected a great boiler for me - such a relief after dealing with a more basic system which was unreliable. I would highly recommend them for a boiler installation.

Excellent renovation of my bathroom correcting previous detrimental work. Paul Hunter & Tony Newton worked tirelessly, arduously & diligently during the excessive heatwave with blow torches in order to dry the walls which had become saturated due to prior lack of thought & shoddy workmanship. I cannot fault their exemplary work & determination to correct such damage. What should have been a straightforward bathroom floor replacement resulted in an complete overhaul. I felt listened to at all times, was treated with respect and courtesy at all times & I cannot fault this company’s work ethic. Strongly advocate this company for work well executed & to an empirical standard.
Brilliant service guys done an amazing job except for the electrician put wire straight across the window instead of doing it the right way so phoned Hudsons receptionist said I’ll show manager she texts back today he said that’s how it should be done when I have showed other electricians a photo of it and it’s just rush job and they wouldn’t be happy with that the manager couldn’t even be bothered to come out or give us a call himself but the guys who done the bathroom brilliant very friendly and polite
after calling them a couple of times we finally manage to make an appointment, i had to leave my workplace to run to my house to let the guy come home to take pictures and he said he would send me the quote, I haven’t heard from them for 2 days, I called the office, they told me they were very busy and they would send me the quote the next day which never happened. EDIT: I received their quote after posting this review

I found this Company to be marvellous. Really helpful staff at the end of the phone, thank you Diane and Kim. They got back to me very quickly to help sort out my elderly sick Aunts bathroom. A job which should have taken 7 days, was completed in 3!! To help minimise the disruption to Aunty Edna, they arranged to finish the job on Saturday. They were really decent blokes, with a good sense of humour. Very clean and tidy installation, tested and checked off by Paul, the Manager. We were so very pleased with how it all went. I had my wet room repaired and renovated with new fittings. My plummer was Steve Waite. What an awesome guy. Super professional, exceptional standard of work. A very experienced plummer/ bathroom fitter and a credit to Hudson's. As well as a great job done quickly and efficiently, Steve was very tidy and took great care. I found him so kind, considerate and respectful in my home which means a lot to me. I am delighted with the bathroom and rate the whole experience highly. Thank you Steve. You are a cool guy!
The work carried out on installing the wet room was of the highest standard and Steve Knight discussed with me the best place to put things according to my needs all the way through the job , nothing was to much trouble , he's was professional curtious and friendly , I was delighted with the finished job , what more can I say .
I have always used Hudson Plumbing as a reliable and reputable business. My most recent works called for a replacement boiler, installation and set up of NEST room stat, replacement LPG regulator and installation of new shower. All works always carried out with a can do attitude, great bunch of guys and easy to talk to.

Our boiler broke down. I contacted Hudson Plumbing in Bristol. Speaking to the heating Manager Paul Allen and discussed the two problems with the boiler and it’s age 17 years old. It would cost around £800 to fix the fault. The advise I received, was the boiler was at the end of its useful life. Hudson’s could fix it but it would probably break down again in the near future. I asked about options. I was given a choice of condensing boilers. Told the different functions and was advised that the new boiler did not need to be a powerful as the boiler we were replacing. I booked in the works. Within the next week Sam and Tom the engineers installed the boiler, and replaced two radiators as they were rusted. On the install day, the first thing the guys did was protect the carpets in the hall landing stairs, bedrooms and bathroom. The works were completed within one day and our home was left clean and tidy. Ben, the Hudson electrician called and updated the supply to the boiler. We were left a hand written gas certificate. Once I paid the invoice both accredited Gas Safe and NICEIC electrical certificates were supplied. I received a great service from Hudson plumbing and Heating. Thank you Julian

Friendly and reliable service to mother-in-law. Badly corroded waste pipe needing repair and renewal, difficult to access under floorboards but all work completed efficiently and by two associates who were very tidy and cleaned up after the work was completed. Would definitely recommend for any plumbing and heating work. Thoroughly professional local company.

Not just the plumbing and boiler but everything from initial groundworks to finishing landscaping was completed in-house by their very courteous and polite staff. 10/10 - keep up the good work!
I have used this company multiple times for plumbing and heating jobs in my house. Although I currently have one job, which has been paid for and not completed, I decided to call for a quote for an electrical job as I needed my new oven wired in. The guy who came to do a quote (Rob I think) came over, very polite and professional. After looking at the electrics and the fuse box and checking a few things, he informed me that the oven was not on its own circuit as it should be, and due to this, I would need an entire new circuit placed into my house. The quote came through at over £800 plus VAT. I decided to get another quote just so I could compare prices. The second person to quote the job informed me that the oven was on its own circuit and in compliance with electrical standards. He then wired my oven in and I paid costs much less than £800. So, the guy who did my electrical quote was a first class con-artist. But unfortunately that is not the end of this story. I phoned Hudson plumbing reception to complain about this. The lady on the phone started shouting at me and saying that she is fed up of complaints. She told me, in very impolite terms, to never contact the company again and then hung up after about 30 further seconds of shouting at me down the phone. If you want work done by a company who think it is acceptable to rip off their clients, leave jobs incomplete and then serve their customers in an absolutely disrespectful and undignified manner, then this is the company for you! If you want work done and completed for a reasonable price, without being insulted and shouted at by someone who even admitted herself that she had no idea what anything I was saying meant, then this is the company for you!
I was recommended Hudson's by friends and found them to be very professional, engaging, respectful and efficient; from discussing my plans with the manager to encounters with each member of the team who were working on my bathroom renovation all my ideas were listened to and problems talked through with solutions explored realistically. I now have my dream bathroom after living over 40 years in my Victorian terrace with a very basic old bathroom. Hudson's has a team of guys with multi skills and can provide a complete package at a realistic cost.

Paul was brilliant called out with a suspected boiler fault and Paul stayed and investigated and sorted what turned out to be a pretty major leak. Really professional and helpful explained what was happening Hudsons are great again, not had a bad experience with them excellent customer service
Our old boiler failed, so no hot water or heating! Paul and his team fitted a new boiler within days. all of the staff were friendly, professional and on time. the price was competitive and we will definitely use them again. very impressed.

I needed a like for like shower replacement. Someone came to assess what was needed, and within 24 hours the replacement was installed and tested. Will be using Hudson's again.
We've used Hudsons for years and they've always been superb. They did a large, complex residential job for us to a very high standard and they've also been very responsive when we've needed emergency plumbing on a couple of occasions. Highly recommended.

7.30 this morning 23/09/16 a van belonging to this firm was hurtling down Gill Avenue at what I would conservatively estimate at 40 + mph forcing the lady in front of me who had the right of way along a row of parked cars to swerve and hit the wing mirror of one of the said cars. Fortunately no damage was done. What causes people to drive in this manner bearing in mind there is a speed limit in place of 20mph. The driver needs his head testing before he causes a serious accident. Would you really want someone working in your house or premises that has such a cavalier attitude for the safety of others...I know wouldn't. Hudson Plumbing and Heating owners need to have a word with their drivers as I see from another comment this has not been the first time.
