En-suite replacement/renovation approximately a year ago: John completely replaced our en-suite a year ago and installed everything new and uprated our shower system. Firstly, John’s water pipe work (soldering) and soil pipe routing was second to none. He did a really good/professional job and it looks like it will pass the test of time. Unfortunately there were a few downsides to our job. John doesn’t like to read instructions (and throws them away) which has caused us a few problems. From the incorrect installation of a lock and mortar kit to the incorrect fitment of our shower screen, he reads none of them. The shower screen has been the latest saga which has begun leaking again - and after reading the instructions it seems John didn’t seal it correctly as per the manufacturer. John didn’t read the instructions (and threw them away) of how to secure our toilet seat either, luckily I managed to find a copy online and rectify myself. Furthermore our W.C. Flush has been pathetic since install and John hasn’t come back to fix it, I’m not sure, but wondering if he failed to read the instructions. John was friendly and showed up as planned (hence 4 stars) but I would seriously recommend that if you appoint John, you make sure he READS the instructions and installs things correctly.

Today John came to check my boiler, and he was extremely professional, thorough, and friendly. He saved me a significant amount of money by avoiding the need to replace the entire boiler. I can only highly recommend Jon and will definitely call him every year for the annual check.

John does fantastic work, he's now fixed my toilet, sink, and a leaking stop tap in the wall, and each job I've been impressed with how thorough it was (for example in fixing the sink he also prevented a future issue with the overflow whilst there), the quick pace of work, and clear communication of what's broken and exactly how best to fix it. Considering that he's fixed work done by another plumber, but to a much higher standard (and in a very difficult circumstance with the stop tap as it was inside the wall behind cabinets), I'd 100% reccomend for competence and great value for money.

This guy is an absolute star - he really went the extra mile to fix our boiler problem on his way to his next job as we were in a bit of a fix. We've already arranged another visit and he is definitely our go to heating engineer now.

John (owner) was fantastic, we haven’t had heating downstairs for over a year due to multiple blockages and other issues when moving into our first home. He went above and beyond to get this sorted pulling an array of techniques and tools to clear the blockages bit by bit even when we were close to ripping up the floors to repipe it all. He communicated everything he was doing along the way to put you at ease and I could not rate him enough for anyone needing heating work done. Now our home is lovely and warm ready for the early 6 am cold mornings with the kids waking you. Thankyou John, you have a customer for life.

Really easy to get hold of, they came out quickly and jobs were dealt with brilliantly. Boiler service was really thorough- something I was worried about as it’s in our bedroom. Every effort was made to fix current taps but they were too worn down and so replacements were done instead. Really pleased with the work done.

I feel the price is a little high, but that's just my opinion. It might be a good idea to ask their charges before scheduling them. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work with various plumbers, which has given me a general idea of the charges. However, I regret that I did not take the initiative to inform them that I was not interested in proceeding with the job when they actually quoted the price. They did come down in price, but the job ended up costing more than twice what it should have.

John was recommended by a neighbour and he was great. He was able to come out the next day, which was brilliant because we had no hot water, and he communicated well, turned up promptly and fixed the problem quickly. He was very personable too. Not sure our experience could have been improved!

I can recommend John in the highest possible terms. He's the only plumber we've engaged who worked his way logically through our heating (or no-heating!) issue - one that arose after we completed some major building works. He solved the problem during what amounted to a 12-hour working day (and on a Friday, too!). He said he wouldn't leave until it was fixed and we are now the warmest we have been all winter. John is a pleasure to have in the house: thoughtful and courteous, and insistent upon clearing up and making good any minor damage needed to install new pipes etc. We are so grateful to him and delighted with his work. For us, he is Bristol's go-to plumber - and will certainly remain so for us in the future.

John has fixed my somewhat neglected boiler today quickly and efficiently for a decent price. It's great to have someone who takes the trouble to explain what's wrong and why that's happened. I would definitely use him again for any jobs that come up in the future.

Will did a great job installing 2 radiators and fixing my toilet flush. I've had several trades working on the house over recent months and the amount of care and attention that Will showed to making sure everything was kept dry and clean really stood out amongst the rest. Communication and pricing was also great. I would not hesitate to use again.

John has done work for me over several years now. He is a most excellent plumber and a professional who pays attention to every detail. I can highly recommend him. He completely re plumbed my cottage, installing a brand new heating system and the results were excellent. Most recently he has fitted new radiators in a large flat in Clifton. You will see from the photograph that some were awkward to fit, as is the way with older properties. These 3 radiators sit in a bay window and need to fit precisely due to the shape of the windows and also the shutters. All fit perfectly. Another great job!

John was an absolute pleasure to work with on our home improvement. We had 3 bathrooms ripped out and replaced with brand new fittings. He worked in conjunction with the tiler and electrician. John personally assumed the position of a project manager (in the absence of the home owner who was on a different continent at the time) making sure everyone else knew what and (when) they should be doing certain task. John and his assistant Jude are very friendly and easy to work with. He had a load of contacts/suggestions for various actions that needed to be taken. He never complained! We never had to repeat an instruction he is that detailed. I would recommend John 1000 times over. In the words of my 4 year old "John is a very good worker". Our heating system is quite old but John had the Knowledge to know what the problem was. He came out a couple of times to look at, and try and fix it, before it was decided to change a vital part. He was polite and explained the issue clearly and cleaned up after the work was done.

We came home to a massive leak from our hot water cylinder - John came out at 7pm at night, repaired the leak immediately then arranged for a new cylinder and programmer a few days later. He was very polite, extremely helpful and patient with his explanations of what was wrong/how things worked/what our options are, he arrived on time as arranged each time and responded to emails within a few hours of sending them each time (even on a saturday), and got on with the job discretely while we were managing our young daughter and the rest of the mess! Couldn't ask for more!

John upgraded my shower room to make it more accessable for me and my disabled daughter. John was really reliable and his quote represented good value. He and his brother worked very hard. The installation of the shower, toilet and sink all took place without any problem. The tilling of the whole room was a difficult job due to the room`s shape, but was carried out very carefully and professionally. A problem did arise with the tiled floor, but this was sorted out very quickly by John and without any issue. Overall really pleased with John`s work and that of his brother Joe. Wouldn`t hesitate to recommend them .

John replaced our ancient boiler with a new one. This work involved: * re-routing pipes under several floors * putting in new radiators and flushing out the incredibly dirty system * taking up and laying down carpets and floorboards * removing the old immersion cistern * installing the new boiler in a more 'compliance -friendly' place. He worked very quickly and neatly, took the old boiler away, and restored everything so that we could hardly believe he'd been here. His quote was reasonable, and he was very polite, willing and generally a pleasure to have around the house. We'd be happy to invite him to do more work, if/when necessary, and are delighted to recommend him as an excellent heating engineer.

I would definitely recommend John for boiler servicing and maintenance. We decided to use him based on all the positive Google reviews and he certainly lived up to them. He worked quickly, quietly and was very tidy. He explained what was required, how he was going to do it and charged a very reasonable price. Highly recommend.

John removed and fitted 10 radiators - full system drain down and replaced with inhibitor. He worked very efficiently and did a top job. Very clean and professional from the initial viewing to measure up, to offering advice, pricing, actual installation, balancing the system and following up with the paper work. He even fixed/replaced my toilet cistern washer whilst waiting for the new radiators to get up to temperature. A pleasure to find a genuine decent plumber and I have future work that I'd like John to help with soon. Would not hesitate to recommend - although hopefully he doesn't become too busy!!

John was very thorough in his initial meet up and discussing any changes and explaining what needed to be done. Even after the initial consultation (which he did not charge for!) I had a few more questions which he was happy to put in the time to answer. John has helped fit the flooring in my house AND install a new bathroom which I have no concerns with and so far so good! A kind, thoughtful, hard working and helpful man who does not provide that corporate feeling you may get with some large national companies but a personable service you get from a bespoke company but at a very decent cost as well! I would highly recommend him and I would love to see anyone prove my recommendation wrong! I can see some of my bathroom pictures are even posted here which is good to see!

Very pleased with the standard of John’s work. Speedy , tidy, professional and always willing. So far, on separate occasions, he has removed the back boiler and replaced with a combi and new gas supply, completely removed and refitted the kitchen, resolved shower issues which were not his work in the first place and most recently removed and replaced the downstairs toilet, hand basin, mirror, toilet roll holder hooks and door handle. So you can see that I trust him to do a good job for a sensible price. Highly recommended.
