I contacted a number of roofing companies, in regard to a roof repair. Without doubt Childwall Roofing Company Ltd, where at the top of the tree. They came out to inspect the job for free, providing a comprehensive and detailed quote in regard to the work required. They then, carried out the work within three days of my acceptance of the quote. Their team was professional, courteous and carried out the work proficiently and with great care. Thanks to John the owner and Ritchie who completed the job. Would recommend this company to anyone requiring roofing repairs.

Having been badly let down by another roofing company it was with some trepidation that I sought out someone to rectify the poor workmanship of others and to do some new work to my bay and parapets. As a Company, totally oblivious of Environmental Health Guidlines. Working in "Residential Limedale Road" they totally ignore the working times set. Worked beyond the Saturday 1pm finish and totally ignored the "Non Sunday Work" Guideline. Angle Grinders used incessantly to cut Tiles and the Hammering of Tiles into Lathes persistently. As a Company, obviously Not Aware Such Actions can carry a £20K Fine.

Had a poor experience with these. Cracked slates from scaffold not replaced nor the manager admitted it was their fault, when I had clear evidence. Poor communication. Very expensive. I will never use again. Update: Additional to the broken slate issue, I have recently ungone an independant roof survey which has revealed the work done on the bay roof by Childwall is substandard. The bay window was replaced with a melt welded bituminous membrane deemed only suitable for outbuildings such as stables. The outlet was covered over and rainwater now drips off the roof onto the pavement below. No edge drip, the membrane should overhang the roof perimetre by approx 50mm. This now needs replacing with lead sheet and outlet renovated.

I spotted some water coming into my loft and gave Childwall Roofing a call. They came out to inspect the roof swiftly. Came back down with pictures of the problem. (A brick fallen off the chimney had broken tiles) They offered a quote the next day, took an online deposit and the scaffold went up the day after The work was done quickly and effectively,,, solving the problem. Called this company Wednesday for a quote for a leak in my Liverpool property. Was told to a quote would be given within 24 hours. None given. Called thurs. Promised it ll be Friday. None given. Sent text reminder Friday evening, no reply until Monday asking who I was despite several sms messages above in conversation explaining who I was. Monday came and I spoke with Geraldine twice who promised a quote by 12pm. 12 30 came - no quote. Called again to be told by close of business. Now 5pm and despite me reminding 2pm by text nothing. If this is how they treat genuine interested customers I would hate to see how their service is should the job have gone wrong. No idea where these reviews have come from. Very suspect. I was nothing but polite and they didn't care less. Too many lies for me to take so I'm warning others.

Don't know where all these high reviews have came from, they didn't even turn up, had this booked in for nearly 2 weeks so I can get a quote. Told me between 9am - 3pm got to 2:19pm and I'm getting worried so I call up, they say the generic old they must be held up at a job, it will probably be after 3 now (they close at 4pm) said they will call me with an update. Gets to 3:40pm I call them again saying I'm still waiting for my update, got told he's not answering his phone so doesn't look like it's going to be today, will wait until he gets back to the office and find out what's happened and let's rearrange. We'll no, I've just wasted a whole day waiting in affecting my working life as well, no communication at all, completely unprofessional. I'd honestly avoid If they can't even keep their word with this god knows how they'd be actually doing the work.

I have been using Childwall Roofing for a couple of years after several failed repairs to my roof. They quickly identified and successfully repaired the problem so I have used them ever since. Having an old Victorian property means finding companies who will work quickly and at heights is not always easy but Childwall Roofing have never let me down.

Called and made appointment for a quote for a new roof waited a week phoned to confirm they were still able to attend the appointment no answer so left message no one turned up in the arranged time period and no one replied to message left on the phone wasted a day off work sitting in waiting. iam sure they would not be happy if we had done it to them a company that has been going for 35 years still doesn't know how to treat a customer . Called chestnut roofing they arranged a next day visit and Steve turned up in the time slot that was arranged and explained everything clearly . Thats how it should be done childwall roofing

We got Childwall involved on what we thought was a fairly simple leaking bay roof. Even though it turned into a much bigger job including demolition and replacement of a dormer window, John was very good at advising and then sorting the whole process out for us, including getting a structural surveyor involved before his team got the work done to a high standard. As I was arranging the work on behalf of my Mum, but am not in Liverpool, I appreciated the really good comms. with John via WhatsApp, including photos etc. Very pleased with the quality of the final job, and the care and attention paid. Had to be a bit patient at the start to get quotes/paperwork etc. because they were obviously busy but it's worthwhile persisting!

Honest, genuine, reliable. My mum who is in her 70s had a ridge tile that came off due to the weather and got damaged . Had 3 quotes that went from the ridiculous to the sublime. First one wanted just shy of £500 and the Second one made an issue out of the tv aerial but luck would have it , he knew a man who could take the aerial down. The third ( Childwall Roofing ) came and looked at the job , advised they could probably fix without having to buy a new tile and maybe some pointing might need doing on the surrounding ridge tiles. So was given two prices . One for repair and one for repair and pointing. Both very reasonable prices. When they came to do the job Phil and John they took pictures of the roof and said they could repair the ridge tile and no pointing needed to be done as the roof was in good condition . So thank you for being honest.

I am impressed by the friendly communication, speed of response and all round professionalism. We had 3 jobs. All were dealt with quickly and without fuss given that Christmas got in the way! The biggest of the jobs was a repair to a leaking extension roof and there were two options with two costs. Once the work was underway it became clear to the roofers that the less expensive option would work. The less expensive repair was applied. It's that sort of honesty that gives a business a good trusted name. I will be happy to use Childwall Roofing again should the need arise. I would recommend the company without hesitation.

i was unable to find a personal recommendation for someone to replace our flat roof , I chose Childwall roofing based on their on-line profile which happily turned out to be accurate. They very responsive with clear communications and an excellent set of lads who replaced the roof, 10 year guarantee is reassuring too.

If you want a professional, reliable company this is the one to go for. John came out the day after the recent storm and sent me a quote within 24 hrs. Two staff turned up on the agreed day and they were excellent. They bent over backwards to make sure that not only the damage was repaired but also that a few cracked tiles nearby were replaced. Three appointments made, did not turn up. They then decided I was too far away, something they could have told me three weeks ago.

I got a chimney stack removed from the roof and the chimney breast underneath at the back of the house. CRC are an honest company with a full detailed quote beforehand. Communication and appointments were punctial and swift, including with the multiple different tradesmen involved. I would recommend John and his team!

Avoid. Not professional and wasted my time. Came out to assess a re-tile on my exterior bay window. Then I waited for my quote, messaged him.and said I'll have my quote in 2 days. 1week after visit, still no quote and still waiting. I phoned another roofer called Liverpool roofing,from Halewood. Came out and did my quote same day. Glad I found another company that's far mor professional and responds to their customers.

Within a few days got a quote and John kept me updated with when the work will carry out, John is a friendly guy, very professional and a understanding bloke. John attended and diagnosed the problem as loft condensation after the fitting of a new shower. It took a few weeks to actually come and do the work, but this was during a spell of bad weather so was understandable. First impressions with John were impressive. Having told him of my problems he inspected the roof. I had a catastrophic four-bucket leak in the valley of the roof on a 3-storey Victorian house. Got in touch with Childwall Roofing, because they are a member of Federation of Master Builders. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Within 24-hours they'd given me a quote and agreed a schedule of works to fit in with my availability. At the agreed time, scaffolding went up, job was done and scaffolding was down again in four days. A stand out part of the service was the level of communication. At every stage of the process I was kept informed about what was happening when. The roofers were considerate, unintrusive and cleaned up well after themselves. An excellent job. Strange how such an event can turn into such a positive experience. BTW: the roof doesn't leak anymore and the works are guaranteed for 10 years.

Needed work doing around damp around chimney breasts. Tried a number of Google 4 to 5 star Liverpool roofers, including Saxon Roofing and Maintenance Free Roofing. Loads of time wasted whilst the problem got worse. Finally, dealt with John at Childwall Roofing- quote within a week, scaffolders here within a few days of accepting the quote and work completed professionally and promptly. Time will tell whether the problem is sorted, but all work is guaranteed so have no concerns due to the overall professionalism of the firm. 100% would definitely recommend.

Have used this firm twice for two very different jobs; one was the dreaded please inspect, recommend and repair. They elected to try the least intrusive solution on a difficult gully leak repair and delivered a perfect job, very quickly and at good value. After moving into a new place last year we realised the roof was leaking in several places. It’s a very big flat roof on a converted coach house and the seller had had it patched several times in the past, so I looked at several companies on line and the reviews they had been given. Childwall Roofing Company had loads of great reviews more importantly a few for flat roofs. I had a few quotes and Childwall Roofing was very competitive and realistic as to a ball park figure I had expected. A guy called John came to my house and gave me a quote of what he thought needed doing to make my roof water right.We agreed on a start date for the job I paid a deposit via bank transfer and contracts where exchanged via email. The work was delayed a few days due to bad weather but John was Always in contact keeping me posted as to what was going on and very attentive and apologetic for any delays even tho he has no control over the weather clearly lol. I was quite distressed after discovering a leak in my back bedroom caused by some tiles coming off my roof following bad weather. Within about 10 days the repair was complete. John gave me two different options, with different price points and explained what each meant, he then followed up with an email, including a full breakdown of the price. I was very pleased with how quickly John responded to any calls or texts. I was also really pleased with the workforce (scaffolders and roofers) who actually completed the work. Had a brief visit from these guys at start June. I was assured that they would inspect my roof in the coming days. Over a month later 4 phone calls, two messages left and an email chasing I’ve not had a response (I got through once on the phone anout 2 weeks ago and was again assured someone would come round) I don’t normally like leaving bad reviews especially with a company that is otherwise well rated and liked. However I think this merits it. Disappointed not to hear back.

I am very pleased with the service from Childwall Roofing company. I contacted them recently because the roof in my utility was leaking due in no small part to the horrendous rain storms in recent years. I found a invoice in my folder which I inherited from the previous owners of the property. It turned out the roof had been installed by Childwall roofing in 2000. The company had guaranteed the work for 20 years, and when I contacted them were more than happy to refelt the roof. They were professional from the word go and turned up to do the work when they said they would and did a fantastic job on the roof. They were also extremely professional and courteous throughout. I have no hesitation what so ever in recommending this company.

I had a leak that was coming inside my home from our extension roof that somebody had 'apparently' fixed. I rang John, explained what the problem was and he came out the following day at the time we had arranged, to look at the job and what needed doing. After looking at the job, the quote was sent over and with one week the work was completed to a high standard, very quick, professionally and efficiently. I am more than pleased with the standard of work and how quick the work was completed as it could have caused quite a bit of internal damage which would have been more cost to us. Carried out significant overhaul of roof, including: fixing leaking valley, re-roofing bay windows, lifting and re-bedding ridge/hip tiles, new chimney flashings, and fixing/replacing broken/damaged/slipped slates. Response to initial enquiry was prompt, end result was very good, communication with John throughout was also excellent. Issues that arose during the work (as is always the case) were addressed promptly and explained clearly.

Excellent service from start to finish. Had a leaking flat roof with a custom built Window... Essentially a custom earlier job by another builder, prone to leaking. John was quick to assess the work required, and extremely personable and professional. Pragmatic assessment of work required. Gave a written assessment and quote. Due to the complexity of job first attempt to fix did not entirely stop the leak, but were extremely rapid in coming to increase the corrective maintainance for no extra charge. Hasn't leaked since despite heavy rain, which is an improvement on the original job. Would recommend highly and use again.

Turned up and gave an estimate in writing. Explained the work required clearly. Sorted a scaffolding tower and set up with minimal fuss. Roofers attended and cracked on with the work with out leaving a mess. Scaffolding removed within a couple of days. All charges within the estimate.

Got Childwall Roofing in to replace our bay window roof. Excellent service and workmanship from start to finish. Initial plan was to install a fibreglass roof but was advised that there would be a problem with the flashing due to lack of space. They suggested using EPDM rubber instead and came back next day to install it. Looks great and very happy with the job done. Excellent communication throughout and very nice people. Would not hesitate using them again.

I was recommended to use Childwall Roofing Limited by a friend who had used them prior to me. From beginning to end they were great. I'd noticed a few tiles missing on my roof and consequently a leak. They turned up when they said they would. They were very professional, in particular - John. I'd contacted a few other companies to see what work needed doing and Childwall were the best. They were very up front and honest about what needed doing and they done the work. The other companies tried to add 'extra' bits of work that didn't need doing, just to get more money out of me. I'd recommend Childwall 100%.
