JCarter Locksmiths - Bournemouth, GB-ENG

Would absolutely recommend these guys. Really personable, helpful and basically just exactly the kind of people you want to work on your home. Job was done really quick and super efficient. They're very worthy of all their 5 star reviews. Cheers guys.

Highly recommended. A fast response time and great service Refreshing to have a genuine tradesmen help with the issue rather than just getting stung with a hefty bill, Joel went above and beyond, many thanks.

Both Jake and Joel are amazing, very experienced, friendly and did great work. 100% recommend. Had 5 locks changed plus a few window issues.

Easy to deal with, great communication and job completed nicely.

Jake came recommended and I can see why 👍💯

Great service, easily contactable, replaced the lock quickly and good value for money. Many thanks

Can highly recommend J Carter Locksmiths. They gave me a reasonable quote for a new door lock mechanism and 2 double glazed windows which just needed the glass replacing. They did a great job so I used them again to replace a rotting door on a garden cabin. Again they did a brilliant job and cleared up afterwards.

Absolutely fantastic service all round. Jake was very professional, helpful and knowledgeable. He was able to change the locks to a commercial unit very quickly. Jake really went above and beyond to help us out of a very difficult situation. 100% recommended and will use again if the need arises.

Jake and Joel of J Carter Locksmiths have fixed my stuck balcony door and replaced blown windows in my 4th floor flat this June 2026. They responded quickly to my job request, they were efficient, courteous and tidied everything away afterwards. Their charges are very fair and competitive. I highly recommend them and would definitely use Jake and Joel again.

Great service, called at 9pm on a Friday night and he came in 20 minutes, very professional and reasonably priced.

Great service from the guys, thank you!

Wow, big shout out to JCater locksmith what an amazing company! Fair on price, they managed to get me back in the shop and changed the lock. Warm and friendly service. Thank you guys

When we locked ourselves out Jake came within 15 minutes and got us back in within minutes, no damage to the lock at all. Super friendly, efficient, and professional work!

Was having issues with my door lock on your property. Was able to get fixed and changed to a much better lock. Friendly , professional and price as quoted. Took time to explain everything and gave advice on my door as well. 100% recommend

Absolutely brilliant service from start to finish. We contacted J Carter Locksmiths at very short notice regarding windows that would not open during the heat, and they went completely above and beyond to help us. Communication was excellent throughout, with every call and message answered quickly, they turned up exactly as promised, and resolved everything professionally and efficiently. The quality of workmanship and reliability were outstanding and you can genuinely tell they care about their customers and take pride in their work. I would not hesitate to recommend them and will definitely use them again in the future. Thank you again for such fantastic service.

We had a problem with one of our conservatory doors as we couldn't lock it. I called Jake and he arrived in about 10 minutes as he was in the area. He identified that the door was misaligned. He quoted a price to fix the problem and then sorted it really quickly. Not only was he efficient and knowledgeable but a very pleasant character and a pleasure to deal with. I would definitely use him again and recommend him to friends and family. Thanks Jake!

Responded really quickly and fixed the issue straight away at short notice. Affordable and skilled, would 100% recommend.

While I didn’t actually end up using JCarter Locksmiths, I still wanted to leave a review because of how helpful they were. I’d locked myself out of my flat and was frantically calling around local locksmiths. They couldn’t pick up at the time, but about 15 minutes later they called me back, apologising as they were at their daughter’s swimming lesson. Even though they couldn’t attend due to this, they took the time to talk through my situation, gave me a clear idea of what the job should cost, and pointed out red flags to watch out for so I wouldn’t get ripped off. As someone who’s never needed a locksmith before, that advice was genuinely invaluable. They also recommended some trustworthy local alternatives I could try. Really appreciated the honesty, professionalism, and willingness to help even when they weren’t getting the job. Will definitely be my first port of call should I need a locksmith again in the future.

JCarter Locksmiths fitted a new lock to my back door in Feb 26. Recently I have experienced problems closing that door, although I was able to lock it. I phoned Jake. Although I confirmed a response within a week was okay, he responded very quickly coming to my house the same day. He confirmed the lock was good, but the springs in the handles had failed. He replaced the handles, there and then, and left a very happy, satisfied customer, who will definitely use him again and highly recommend him to others

Great service from start to finish. I was quoted really quickly after my initial enquiry, and had a new high security ABS lock in my door the very next day. The guys were super knowledgeable and friendly. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again. Thanks guys!

Jake and Joel attended the property on the same day after I managed to pull the head off my key. They were quick, tidy and knowledgeable and got me back in to the property. Great guys, excellent quality of work. 10/10 would recommend to anybody! Thanks guys

We needed locks for my dad’s new home. Jake replied within a few minutes to my text, gave good recommendations as to lock security levels, and had my dad’s locks changed within a few days for a price that would not have been much different to me buying the locks online and then wrecking my dad’s patio doors trying to change them. Excellent price and service - like me don’t bother calling anyone else.

Quick to respond, knowledgable and time efficient! He was able to find the problem and rectify quickly. Would highly recommend

Contracted Jake and within a few hours he arrived to sort out a locking system which we lost the keys for. He was very understanding and helped my partners elderly mum fully understand how to use the new lock. He was happy to help and advise with other jobs. Would definitely recommend and use in the future!

We were unable to open patio door, so contacted JC. They came over quickly, and for a fixed price they were able to diagnose the problem. Unfortunately it wasn’t a simple job so we definitely got value for money! They needed to order a part and returned the following week to fit (this is what suited my availability). Initially the new lock was really tough to open, but since the following day the lock has been far easier to unlock and open than it’s ever been! I wish we had contacted Jake & Josh earlier, the lock may not have broken! They were both brilliant in every way, thank-you!

Fabulous service. Reasonable prices, friendly, efficient. Offered good advice. Have used twice now for my mum's house.

Amazing job! Arrived in 15 minutes and we were in within 5 minutes after locking our keys in the flat behind us! Amazing service, really friendly and very well experienced. Thanks Jake!

Jake came out at short notice after my mum lost her keys and was really helpful from start to finish. He changed the lock quickly, explained everything clearly, and fitted a better, more secure lock than what was there before. Friendly, reliable and reasonably priced — Would definitely recommend.

We feel very fortunate to have 'found' this company. Fantastic service, perfect comms., a great job, well done & on time. Such a refreshing change from some of our past experiences. Thanks guys.

Contacted Jake as my door lock was broken and I couldn’t lock it and his reviews were great. Well he certainly didn’t disappoint and lived up to all the well deserved great reviews. He came over within an hour and changed the lock. He did such a great job that you wouldn’t even know it was changed! Great communication, reasonably priced and is genuinely very kind and considerate, he even tidied up before he left! I can’t thank him enough for helping me out. Highly recommended and would most certainly be using his service again.

Came back from my daughter's swimming lesson at 20:30 to our failed front door lock. Jake was a perfect gentleman and professional from beginning to end. Brilliant job, which was really tricky. He got us into the house, most importantly, but equally important we were confident that we were safe. Wonderful value for money and transparent. I will never consider using anybody else in the future. Thank you so much 🙏

Jake arrived super fast to help my daughter who got locked out of her apartment. He was kind and helpful and didn't take advantage of young college kids. So grateful for the one person out of so many that actually answered the phone!!! Thank you. From a helpless mother too far away to do anything!

Very professional, helpful and efficient, sorted out the problem with my front door,no hesitation in recommending fully.

Jake was an absolute lifesaver after the lock on our student house jammed in the middle of the night. After calling, he was with us within 15 minutes and we were back inside quickly and easily. He came back the next day to fit the new lock and went out of his way to ensure this one wouldn’t have the same issue. He was also notably very professional and helpful when discussing everything with our landlord. Nothing but exceptional service from start to finish in every respect. Jake and Joel have been to our house twice now for two separate jobs and we couldn’t be happier with their service. We can't say enough about this company. They arrived within the estimated arrival time, gave us an honest opinion and quote and then kept us abreast of the job as they worked. Had originally quoted us for a part that turned out wasn't needed so our bill was cheaper than originally thought. Honest, friendly, clean and reliable. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend. Thanku so much JCarter Locksmiths 😊

Jake and his colleague responded quickly to an issue we had with our front door Yale lock. They took apart the lock identified the issue and repaired at a reasonable charge without the need for a replacement. Am stating this as have used other lock specialists elsewhere who took the opportunity to suggest a new lock and all the additional expense that may have incurred. I would strongly recommend them.

After several phone calls to locksmiths in the area all of whom have advertised 24/7 call outs, nobody could help me. They were either out drinking or weren’t available! Thank goodness for JCarterlocksmiths. Jake was at my place within 15 minutes of the phone call. Fantastic service and very pleasant to deal with.
