Jon exceeded expectations! He reponded to our enquiry straightaway late at night when our lock broke. I’ve used John’s services many times and his professionalism is exceptional. On two occasions I was locked out of my home, and his response time was incredibly fast — he had me back inside within minutes. More recently, I called him about an issue, and instead of charging me unnecessarily, he advised that the solution I had already put in place was working fine. Most people would have insisted on a call-out fee or unnecessary work, but John was honest and genuine. I highly recommend him. I would 100% recommend him!

Key snapped in conservatory door. I tried removing it with tweezers and even thought about buying a key extraction kit but thought I’d end up wasting my money and possibly cause more damage. I found John on Google (and he was on checkatrade too) and all the reviews were excellent. He was round within less than an hour and got the key out in less than 3 minutes compared to the two hours I’d been trying! It also transpired he’d recently helped 3 other neighbours out in our road. Found About-turn locks on google after having issues with my patio uPVC door lock. Called John, he then FaceTimed to get eyes on the issue and was at my house with in 15minutes. Clearly an experienced tradesman and was super efficient. Fixed, tweaked and fine tuned my patio doors. Clean, tidy and well priced. Highly rate and would recommend.

We contacted John about problems with our malfunctioning front door lock in June just before we went away on holiday. He responded very promptly to fix the problem. He saw that the door was not opening and shutting properly, he adjusted the hinges and tightened the screws to ensure that the door opened and closed freely. He further advised that we install handles. He sent us links to several suppliers of door handles to choose from and came back to install them free of charge. We contacted John about a broken uPVC door lock and 15 minutes later he was with us getting it fixed! Having returned from a weekend away, my wife’s door key snapped in the lock. Following a quick Google search we were talking to John from About Turn Locks. He was courteous and friendly. Within 15 minutes he was at our doorstep. Following a quick assessment, he was able to extract the broken piece of the key. We discussed replacement options for the key due to the quality of the one which broke. After a brief consultation, we opted for a new lock barrel to be fitted. Within 10 minutes, a new lock barrel was fitted and with a one-year warranty. We could not fault the response and the quality of the work. Thanks for being there when we needed you. Been meaning to write a review for over a month. Our lock broke when we came home one saturday in the early hours of the morning. The lock just kept turning. Managed to get into the house after a lot of hassle. I tried to break the lock and everything I could possibly do to open the door. Short of angle grinding the hinges off (bloody expensive security door) I gave up. Wanted a local local independent locksmith, these larger companies just rip you off. John came round straight away, he tried everything with various tools he had, in the end he managed to grind the locks off. It was no easy job, and you need the right tools which I don't have. I was lucky as John had a spare locking mechanism on board and managed to fit the same day, and replaced with a better lock. I highly recommend John as he knows he stuff. He pricing is very fair and competitive. He clearly stated the options and the cost up front. Would hate to think what an a larger emergency call out company would of charged. Very professional and I would definitely recommend John and use his expertise again in the future, but hopefully I wont need to :- ) Thankyou John for great job at a great price!

Excellent service. I had an issue with my bifold doors where the main door wouldn’t lock. I contacted John who was very helpful in trying to help me solve this without a visit or cost ,but when it turned out it wasn’t something that I couldn’t resolve myself he came out on the same day and within an hour, everything was fixed. John’s number is now saved in my phone as my point of contact for any future lock related issues and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend his services to other people.

John came to my house this morning to fit a new bolt to the wooden front door (I like to bolt the door at night and the old one had broken). He advised that I also needed the Yale latch adjusting, to stop the door from rattling. He did both jobs, sorting out the existing latch and fitting the new bolt. I am really pleased with the results and would definitely have him back in the future should any further issues arise.

The best locksmith you can get, must have been fate as when I called him (after being locked out of my home completely post a gearbox failure in the lock) he was 3 mins way. He drove promptly to my address, identified the problem, got me in the house, fixed the door all under an hour. Could pay by card which shows he is on top of his game. Jon fitted 2 internal door locks for me, as I do Airbnb I wanted to be able to lock some doors to ensure my space is private. He knew exactly what was needed and did a fantastic job. John came all the way to streatham to attach a new deadlock to my door, even though the parking was extremely difficult where my building is located. He completed the lock installation quickly and professionally for the quoted fixed fee, and was able to take a card payment rather than cash and emailed an invoice on completion. John came to our property in August 2016 to fix our front door lock and service two PVC doors to the rear of the property - which were no longer locking smoothly. He arrived on time and was friendly and very happy to answer any questions I had about the locks and doors! I observed and inspected John's work through out and he was happy to talk me through the process. I noted he was diligent and carried all the necessary parts to complete the job in his van, in this instance the gearing system for the front door. All work was completed in one visit for the quoted fixed price of £79.99 + VAT + Parts. Despite living a little way away from me John responded immediately to my request to repair the lock on my newly installed Yale door (after Yale were unhelpful) as he knew my house with 4 children in it had to be secured over night. He carried out the work with a great level of knowledge and care and did not leave until he was absolutely happy with the work- great pride in his trade and not an in and out kind of tradesmen.
