What the PAT test covers
A PAT testing record documents the in-service inspection and testing of portable and movable electrical equipment. It lists each appliance with its location, class and test results, records a pass or fail and whether it is safe to use, and sets the next test date: following the IET Code of Practice for In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment.
