What the electrical installation certificate covers
An EIC is the certificate you issue for new fixed electrical work: a new installation, a new circuit or a consumer unit replacement. It records the design, construction, inspection and testing of the work against BS 7671, lists the circuit details and test results, and carries the declarations signed by the person responsible. It is notifiable work, so the certificate is the proof the installation is safe and compliant.
