What the EV charge-point certificate covers
An EV charge point installation certificate records a dedicated charger install (make, model, rating and connector) alongside the protective measures that matter for EV charging: the earthing arrangement, open-PEN protection, the RCD and DC fault protection, and the commissioning tests. It proves the installation was designed, inspected and tested to BS 7671 and the relevant EV charging standards.
