The recent design & installation of an air-source heat pump system, hot water cylinder & associated works at my home by Heat Centre Renewables & their partner Ansell Mechanical has been as smooth, efficient & undisruptive as I could have wished. Having been put in touch by Adia Thermal, whose unique technology I was very keen to utilise, Heat Centre was the only installer of the many I’d previously spoken to who was prepared to engage constructively – & at some length – with my specifications & requirements to arrive at an agreed solution. Preparation is often the key to successful implementation, & Heat Centre conducted a very thorough preliminary survey & design phase, with continuous consultation, that made their final detailed quotation easy to accept. The installation process was particularly well organised to be efficient, clean & create minimal disruption to family life, including for one working from home. Everything was explained & agreed in advance, which I really appreciated, & the few (inevitable) unforseen snags & delays were firstly discussed & subsequently dealt with without fuss or rush. In fact, to avoid inconvenience around a Bank Holiday, the schedule was extended, rather than squeezed into a prior deadline. Communication throughout the process, from initial contact to final commissioning, was exemplary, & all involved were always friendly & happy to answer queries & explain options & decisions. It has been a pleasure to work with Heat Centre Renewables & I have no hesitation in recommending them as designers & installers of heat pump systems & sustainable energy solutions.

We recently had a heat pump installed by James and the team at Heat Centre, and the whole experience has been excellent. From the very beginning, we had a lot of questions about the project. James was extremely knowledgeable and always took the time to explain everything clearly, backing up his advice with the right information so we could make confident decisions. The comprehensive survey carried out gave us a clear design and outputs to ensure the system would deliver the heat we need while being as efficient as possible. We also had questions about how our existing solar, battery storage, and solar water system would integrate. Even though Heat Centre weren’t responsible for installing those, James was able to explain in detail how everything would work together with the new system - a real testament to his expertise. The installation itself was completed in under a week. The team removed both old water tanks and our boiler, relocated plumbing and storage to the garage, and managed the plumbing and electrics neatly and tidily. The standard of workmanship was impressive. Since the installation, the heat pump has been running brilliantly. We have plenty of hot water with excellent pressure, and as the colder nights set in, the heating is keeping the house warm and cosy. We would highly recommend James and the team at Heat Centre to anyone considering a heat pump. Professional, knowledgeable, and efficient - they delivered a first-class service from start to finish.

James at Heat Centre Renewables, supported by the team at Ansell, did a great job. Heat pumps are complex systems, in that if there is a problem there can be one of multiple reasons for it. Choose your installer carefully. I initially had a poor install from a different cowboy installer. I engaged James to replace the heat pump, redo the pipework and address the technical issues. He did a new full reinstall. I chose James because of his heat engineer credentials on LinkedIn. He did an excellent install, but my luck dictated that there was an issue with the Vaillant product (not the installation). James investigated, agreed there was a problem, and continued to support throughout the process, which eventually led to Vaillant replacing the heat pump product. The new system is working effectively. It is important to choose an installer that will continue to support you, which James did.
