Alex was an absolute star. Fitted a new combi boiler in an upstairs room, got rid of all the numerous pipes that were there and left me with a very tidy cupboard and plenty of storage. He explained all the workings to me. He was punctual, extremely tidy and just excellent all round. I have already scheduled him to service the boiler next year. May 2021 - I called on Alex again to re-wire a kitchen, chase gas and cold pipes into the wall and fix various plumbing issues in my new house. He was absolutely fantastic, it was a lot of work and he went above and beyond to get everything perfect and for a really good price! Shows up when he says, leaves everything nice and tidy after each day and did a great job :D February 2021 - I needed a Gas Safety Certificate for my house sale and Alex was very accommodating. He managed to squeeze me in at short notice even though he was super busy. Very friendly and efficient, would definitely recommend!

I had Alex come do a gas safety check on a property that I was buying. Alex was extremely prompt, polite and his communication was excellent. But what I was really impressed with was his willingness to go the extra mile. Initially he identified a potential error with the boiler (distance between flue and door was possibly too short). Instead of just leaving it at that, he contacted the gas safety technician and the manufacturer technician to find the exact specification for that particular boiler. As it turns out it actually met the minimum safe distance required! All of this was done at his own time! Would definitely use Ignite again.

Alex has been the go-to person for any plumbing or electrical job. He's done electrical jobs, gas safety certificates, pipe work on one of my properties, and recently fitted a new combi boiler in my house with so many old pipes its looks like a snakes wedding! Nothing was too little or too much for him, he gave me a good quote and projected start date, and informed me of any changes in a timely manner. He left the job in a clean state and has an eye for detail. Would highly recommend this company to anyone!

If you are reading this review because you are looking for a Plumber who provides honest advice, isn’t looking to overcharge, listens to your specific requirements in detail, turns up on the date/time agreed and does a great job, then look no further. I contacted Alex initially to provide me with a quotation to replace a Gas combi boiler. Alex agreed to visit the property on a Saturday morning as this was the only time I could make and he arrived on time as agreed…..I received a text confirmation the evening before, which was a nice touch. Alex provided advice when asked and took on board my comments. The quotation arrived the next day which was reasonable for the work being carried out. It was refreshing to be asked where I wanted the drainage pipes to be drilled / filter fitted etc… as when we arrived to meet Alex once the work had been completed, there were no surprises – I knew exactly what to expect and I wasn’t disappointed – Alex and his team did a great job. I will use Alex and the team again and have no hesitation in recommending Ignite Gas Plumbing and Electrics Ltd.
