I had a rat problem under my decking. I called Broadsword and spoke with Michael. He quoted for his services (very competitive price) and came to check the issue without delay. Confirmed a plan of action and delivered to it. Detailed job sheets and a detailed explanation of the work he was going to do and set my expectations. All very clear, informed and professional. And the problem was resolved exactly how he described it would. No fuss. Great work and lovely people who really understand their work and what customer satisfaction means. Thank you Michael! Update Feb 2025: I had rats return. Contacted Michael again and he responded as before. Quick, efficient and knowledgeable. Problem resolved in 2 weeks. Solution includes replacing raised decking with patio (already been considered). Michael agreed and have confidence in his approach to a pesky pest issue. Thank you again Michael.

I have been really impressed with how Michael from Broadsword Pest Control dealt with my tenants' rat infestation. The service is professional and competitively priced and Michael is very knowledgeable about all aspects of the treatment. But the most unique feature of this company is that there is no limit on the number of visits they are prepared to arrange. Michael came quickly after we called about a rat nest in our rockery. He explained clearly what he would do for a single fee, and that he would visit weekly until the problem is resolved. It took a total of 7 visits (arriving promptly at the arranged time) before he was able to declare himself satisfied that the problem was solved! We have no problem in saying that we have received an exemplary service and would recommend him to anyone requiring such help.

I had a rat problem in my garden shed and was rather overwhelmed when I discovered it. Michael visited and patiently explained how to tackle the rat problem, describing the stages he would need to undertake. He proceeded to visit weekly and kept me well informed of progress until he was confident of success. I have a dog and a cat and he was very careful to protect them throughout the process using appropriate bait and laying the bait securely to avoid them reaching it. He also assured me that I do not need a whole new shed which is a great cost and time saving. Overall he provided a very professional and reassuring service.
Had a rat problem with them living under the decking in my garden.I had bird feeders which obviously attracted them. I contacted Michael having seen the recommendations and he came the next day and started the treatment process to get rid of them. His pricing is excellent and the cost includes multiple visits and treatments until the problem is resolved, so you know there’s no extra or hidden charges. He’s very friendly professional, and knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions or queries. We have an old cottage with more holes than Swiss cheese so lots of easy access points for rodents, add to that chickens in the garden and it becomes a pest control nightmare. Usually able to control it ourselves in the past, but we got feed up with hearing things running around in the loft at night with hobnail boots on ! Did quite a bit of research and liked Broadsword's ethical approach (and their pricing). Michael is very pleasant and knowledgeable, but above all tenacious. when he says he sticks with it until the job is done he means it, and all for the original cost. Highly recommended, brilliant service.

Michael is our modern day Pied Piper …. Called him when I noticed the bottom of the garden had turned into a rat play park with over 10 ratties playing happily among the bird feeders . It was a delight to watch as they swung from feeder to feeder but when 2 rats became over 10 in a matter of weeks I knew an eviction notice was needed . Michael arrived laden with dog friendly death cubes and set up. It was as if they knew he had arrived and from that moment they seemed to vanish - personably I think they followed him to his van and repatriated themselves to the leisure park. He came back weekly (on time and jovial) every week until we knew they had all gone . He doesn’t overcharge and he knows his rat facts - apparently they aren’t all called Roland and they do identify as rats . Thank you Michael and I hope I never see you again !! Unless of course I have another infestation … and then you’ll be on speed dial !
I had ants in my kitchen and they were coming in through an external wall. 1st application and a few traps placed in the kitchen, within few days there was no more ants!!! The gentleman who came out was very polite and explained everything before application. Excellent service, will be using again if we need to. 5 star service.

I started to use a bird feeder and the feed went into the ground. Thought nothing if it. Then the rats arrived burrowing next to the feeder. Called Michael who came quickly. He explained the humane process clearly and obviously knows his topic. His treatment is safe with dogs about if a little common sense is applied. 4 visits for one fee. Rats gone. Thoroughly recommend his services.

His kind and very respectful customer service along with his down to earth character made me feel extremely comfortable that I was hiring the right person. When I first reached out, he responded immediately, booking in a visit to my house and the fumigation treatment within the same week. Having rats in the house is never a nice thing to have to sort out but Michael made the process easy with his knowledge and efficiency. Although his job is to rid the house of pests he never wants the animal to suffer or be in distress and reassured us of our worries and how he does things. He had to come out to us 5 times in total and each time arrived on time, explained what he was doing and going to do and left leaving the place tidy. Having just moved into the area, my girlfriend and I had a wasps' nest in the attic preventing us from unpacking. Michael came at very short notice and late in the day (7pm) to come and help us. We contacted Broadsword to tackle a wasp nest inside our garage, having seen a recommendation from a previous customer on a local Facebook group. Michael answered immediately, confirmed the appointment via email and arrived punctually on a Saturday morning. He removed the nest and checked for others and gave us advice about future problems. Highly professional excellent service. Attended our premises within 24 hours on a weekend! Our significant Rat problem took numerous visits and was ultimately eliminated.
