Shane did a fantastic job of locating the source of rats coming into the cavities from the sewer. After ensuring they weren't in the house a one way flap was fitted to a sewer pipe to prevent further pest ingress via the sewer. On top of that after multiple visits with a separate noise near the roof, Shane located a squirrel nesting in the soffit. This was prevented with wire mesh. I can't fault Shane's detective work and prevention methods.

I can not rate Shane at RIDTEK highly enough. We had an ongoing rat problem (in the loft and in the walls for several months) and were beginning to think we were stuck with them. We initially used another company who surveyed the property but could not definitively confirm how they were getting in and out and they put bait in the loft and in the drains. After several weeks the problem was no better, and we lost faith. A Google search brought us to Shane and he has literally become our hero. He did his own - much better - survey of our property and within less than an hour he had established how they were getting in and out. We installed our own cameras to test his theory and he was absolutely spot on. We caught the rats on camera doing exactly what he said they were doing. An eviction plan then followed and we are now rat free. If you have rats in or around your property do not waste your time going to anyone else. RIDTEK are the best in the business. Having seen several rats in our garden over a few weeks, we decided to tackle the problem by calling in an expert (rather than attempting to deal with them ourselves). We are so pleased we did. Most companies we contacted offered a 3 visit service for a fixed fee, with any additional visits being charged per visit. Ridtek were the only one that offered to solve the problem for a fixed fee regardless of the number of visits required (albeit at a slightly higher fee). I called Ridtek to discuss the job and spoke to Roo, who was very friendly, informative and easy to talk to. She explained their service in detail and when I agreed to proceed, arranged a visit for the very next morning. Reef, who is actually Roo’s son, arrived slightly early and listened carefully to our description of the problem and reassured us that he could certainly deal with it. He was extremely polite, friendly and happy to discuss any aspect of the problem. He inspected the garden thoroughly and quickly identified the signs – burrows, droppings etc and located the key areas of the garden to focus on. He put down some bait in these areas and then gave us some very helpful advice on avoiding recurrence of the problem (removing sources of food and water etc) and gave us a lot of information about their habits, lifestyles, behaviours etc. He arranged the next visit for a couple of days later to check on progress and again laid out more bait of a different type, all the time keeping me informed of what he was doing and why. Each subsequent visit identified less and less activity until, after 3 clear visits with no detected activity, we agreed to close the job. On the same day of each visit, I received a detailed report by email detailing progress and next steps. Throughout this whole process I had total confidence in this company and would certainly recommend them to anybody with a pest problem. As a family firm, they are fully invested in the process, compared to some larger franchised firms, and seemed fully committed to curing my problem.

We saw some signs that we had a rodent issue, we bought some clear boxes and bait from the shop but it didn't seem to help. I called Ridtek for advice at first and to find out about the service they offer, they were really helpful and I didn't feel pushed to make an appointment. All went quiet and we thought we'd been lucky but then we realised the problem was still there. I called back and Ridtek were able to come out very quickly. Reef came out every few days to check on the situation and just being able to ask questions and his knowledge made me feel so much better. I asked for advice through a local Facebook group and the next moment I was raising a request through their website with and incredibly quick turn around in response. The next day we were on my allotment plot and the wasps nest was no more! Shane listened to me without judgement and took his time to ensure that my disturbing the nest had really not moved them on. I had the pleasure of meeting Shane today after speaking to Roo first I can not tell you how helpful they both were they couldn’t do enough to help me . They went above and beyond to rescue a lady in distress . My son was minding his own business getting a drink in the middle of the night but was greeted by an extra pair of eyes watching him going into the fridge yes you can imagine his reaction to rude to post . To me being woke up mum there a Rat in the kitchen !!! To cut a long story short all I can say is the next few hrs turned into something out of faulty towers trying to get this Rat out . A frantic call to Roo and Shane was with us 20 mins later . Thinking he’d come to a nut house . 5 mins later Shane appears with said Rat on his arm laughing and said will you take a picture . Think he was trying to finish me off . Mr Rat turned out to be a neighbours lost pet . So not only did Shane remove mr Rat he managed to reunite mr Rat with his owners . We had some very suspicious noises in our loft. Following investigation it looked like mice and Ridtek promptly attended and dealt with situation. I like that they checked the property to find access points and also you pay for a service rather than repeat visits. Also there is a 4 week period after treatment just in case they miss anything. Great service and I hope never to use them again meant in the best possible way!!!

I can't recommend Ridtek enough... They are a friendly, family business that are passionate and supportive. Prior to calling them I was totally had over by another company and given really bad advice, advice that made the rat problem I was experiencing far worse. Ridtek have a problem solving approach to there treatments, they work out what is happening and then come up with a plan to combat the issue. The service is genuinely second to none. I have been rat free for six months and have a device fitted to my drain to ensure they can't come back into my home. Brilliant service!

Difficult when you have a pest problem (Rats) but Ridtek got this under control very quickly and efficiently. We have had this issue on and off for YEARS- and different companies and people have done a vague job of curing it for a while - they always came back because they never sorted out the cause. Ridtek were completely different - they sorted out the cause, put into place preventative fixes, and provided much needed peace of mind. I would not recommend anyone other than Shane if you have a pest problem.
