Winlocks

Recommend. Very dedicated to getting a tricky bi-fold door done right. Will definitely use again.

David is really easy to deal with. Gives straight-forward and reasonable advice on what's gone wrong and his recommendations, and both times he's come out to us he's made sure it's same day, which is greatly appreciated.

What a great service. My parents had locked themselves out of their property. Within an hour and a half this lovely, extreme helpful man had come and sorted out the problem. Not only that, he fixed an issue with the door which had been causing it to stick, at no extra than the very reasonable call out fee. Would highly recommend WinLocks.

Such a pleasure to use someone who just wants to fix a problem in the simplest and most cost effective way. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company.

Brilliant service from David. Quick response, friendly and high quality work. I would 100% recommend :)

I recently purchased a canteen of cutlery on Facebook Marketplace. When I collected it the vendor told me he'd misplaced the key having locked the box, but thought I would be able to open it relatively easily! I couldn't, but luckily I knew a man who could. David Small of Winlocks is Winchester's answer to Raffles - The Cracksman. There isn't a lock he he can't pick and he quickly worked his magic. He then went the extra mile and fashioned a new key for me. I cannot recommend his services highly enough. He is courteous, professional and fun to deal with. And - what's more - very reasonable.

David has helped us out on several occasions when we’ve misplaced our keys!

Very quick and extremely friendly service, even made the poor people stuck in the locked room laugh !!! Quick to come out even on Sundays

Excellent service, quick and reliable call out, can’t recommend enough

I would highly recommend Winlocks as a locksmith. David provided an excellent, professional and friendly service. He went above and beyond to help us. Many thanks!

David is brilliant! He changed all my locks in my new house the day we moved in. He is very friendly and knowledgeable, and made the process very seamless.

Have used Winlocks on three occasions now. Always turns up on time and has solved our problem each time with minimal fuss. On the most recent occasion I was quoted £200 to replace (what I believed to be) a faulty front door lock. Upon arrival it was quickly established that the lock was not the issue (the door hinges were) and the price was immediately adjusted in a downward direction! Would highly recommend and no doubt will require their services again in due course!! Number now saved to phone!!!

Nothing is too much trouble for David at Winlocks. I had an urgent problem with a padlock which he sorted out within the hour. He is friendly, fast, polite and very knowledgeable. Thank you for helping us access our property when it was time critical and pouring with rain!

David came out to me at very short notice on a Saturday to change my lock on my front door that was broken. I made the call and he was there within the hour! This is the second time I've used him for my home security. Excellent service as always. He's professional, friendly and reasonably priced too. I always mention him to my friends that need a locksmith. Thanks David!

Fast response, very efficient service. Friendly and easy to deal with. Definitely recommended!

We needed an old lock replacing. He came on time, was very polite, neat and tidy, quick, and highly competent. What more can you ask. Recommended.

Highly recommend Winlocks. Prompt, responsive, friendly and very reasonable price!

I called David when I couldn't lock my door one evening. He was there first thing the next morning and did a brilliant job fixing my problem. Speedy, reliable, friendly and professional. I highly recommend Winlocks.

I have used David previously and have had the need to call him out to my recently bereaved Mum twice over the last couple of months and he’s always turned up when agreed and resolved both issues. I feel very confident that he is a competent and very considerate person and have no hesitation in recommending him.

David was great. Even though the job wasnt an emergency he came the same day. Very friendly and professional, and very reasonably priced.

Superb service, would 100% recommend.

We have used Winlocks several times and have no hesitation in recommending David and his company. The response has always been fantastic (and yes we did manage to lock ourselves out) and the standard of work has been superb. It is wonderful to have a trusted locksmith who can offer advice and also be so attentive when required. Definitely 5 star!

Superb service - we locked ourselves out of the house and David came within five minutes and rectified the problem, despite it not being a time he was planning on working. Friendly, polite, professional and efficient - highly recommended.

Great prompt service with a smile. Extremely professional service I would recommend to anyone local in need of advice or work 😊🙏

Excellent service, especially considering it was a Sunday afternoon!! Highly recommend, superb service.

Excellent service end to end. I called David because we were locked out of our house and we had some specific personal circumstances that I made him aware of. He was very professional, prompt and came to our rescue within 15 minutes. He was able to open the door and then replaced the faulty mechanism for us. His service was excellent, would definitely recommend him. Everyone locally must save his contact details in case of emergency. You never know when you will need good local service. Don't bother trying to ring emergency locksmiths, I tried before I called David and they were unable to help!

David arrived on time showing ID on arrival. Diagnosed the problem immediately, had the relevant parts, fixed us up and improved how the back door hung. Perfect service and a really lovely chap. Thank you

I can't recommend David more highly. Brilliant at what he does. I wouldn't use anyone else.

David at Winlocks is highly professional and knowledgeable and I would recommend him for any key or locksmith enquiry. He is also local to Winchester :)

Outstanding. Nothing more to it. 100% local, 100% quality. David was superb and I'd highly recommend you call him 1st if you're Winchester based.

David fixed my front door and adjusted my patio door. He returned to fix two locks on internal doors. David was clear with his estimates, punctual and very tidy. I have no hesitation in commending him to you

Excellent service from start to finish. Highly recommend David/Winlocks.

I had an issue with my front door not locking easily. Brilliant response from David. Soon resolved by him - at least it wasn't user error!! Very grateful.

I needed window handles replacing, and David offered expert advice on best locks/handles, with a very competitive quote. He carried out the work extremely efficiently and cleared away everything after the job. I will always use David for any future jobs and highly recommend him. Thank you David!

David was able to come out very quickly and he told me the cost before he proceeded with the job. Very good service and a friendly chap. HW

David was very responsive to an emergency call out on a Sunday, and was much more reliable than other commercial locksmiths that claimed to be local. Would highly recommend!

They were awesome came out straight away when one of my residents had locked herself out. Rate 10 of 10 for service and quality.

Responsive, reliable and professional. Highly recommended

First time using Winlocks and I was very impressed. David quoted me very quickly to change the barrel on the front door. He then fitted it about an hour later. Great value and excellent service.

I had an emergency and could not open my front door and David came at his earliest opportunity which was excellent service, and with a smile too. Would highly recommend and I would not use any one else. Thank you!

David was amazing. We rang that morning and by 2pm the job was completed! Highly recommended.

David phoned to say he could come the same day I emailed him. He arrived punctually and sorted the door lock problem speedily and efficiently. He is a very helpful and pleasant man. I would certainly recommend him for any problem with locks and catches.

Excellent local locksmith. Genuine, efficient, friendly and quick. I locked myself out at 3.30 and I was back in at 4pm. Thank you so much! Highly recommend and will use again!

Sunday afternoon locked out, David was with us in 30 minutes. Whilst he was visiting, he helped with a query we had about another lock! Good guy, good service.

David Small was absolutely brilliant - he quickly found a way of opening an old family heirloom where we had lost the key - phew! We were really worried we would have to break our way in. I have used David on several occasions for door locks so thought I'd given him a quick call. As he is round the corner from us in Winchester he could fit us in in a couple of hours. I would highly recommend David - he is professional, thorough and completely reliable. Thank you!

This is the second time I have used David to sort out my locks and I would highly recommend him- he was very prompt and able to sort out both the lock and my front door which wasn't shutting properly- he even came late in the day after I had finished work. Excellent service and very good value.

Excellent service. Arrived when expected. Resolved issue efficiently and effectively.

Superb service - phoned back promptly. We were lucky he was able to come within 2 hours and was able to fix both doors within an hour. Good value and excellent service. Have used before and will always be our first choice.

Extremely quick service. Highly recommended

David was fantastic! Highly recommend if you would like someone that is professional and reliable and efficient.

David provides an excellent 1st class service. He identified our needs, explained the risks, completed the work promptly and left the work area clean and tidy. If you need a Locksmith in the Winchester area David is your man!

David was quick to respond to my request to sort out my front door lock which was greatly appreciated. He changed the lock and it now works perfectly. Good value for money for a professional job.

Although my issue turned out to be about the key and not the door, David didn't point out my stupidity! Instead, he attended quickly, readjusted the door out of courtesy and barely charged me. Would highly recommend.

David is always so communicative and provides a quick, professional service every time. Would not hesitate to recommend!

David does exactly what he promise to do and does it very well. Always prompt friendly service.

Speedy service on a Friday evening after key broke in lock. Extremely polite, tidy work and good value. Highly recommended and much appreciated.

Really great service. Locked myself out, was with me within 20 mins, great value.

Excellent service. I broke the key in the lock and David saved the day by turning up within 30 minutes and fixing the problem

Sunday ... late afternoon, cold and getting dark ... key jams in outside lock ... eek! Within twenty minutes David was here and in another twenty had removed faulty barrel, replaced with new and departed ... leaving me and my door glowing! Thank you so much for your friendly and professional service.

I contacted Winlocks as I got back from work and realised I didn’t have a key and my partner had gone away with work for the night. He came over within 20 minutes, was so friendly and helpful, I was back in the house in no time! Definitely recommend!!

I called Winlocks as I was having problems with our front door, very prompt and professional service. I will certainly keep their details to hand for future work and wouldn't hesitate to recommend their services to anybody in need of a locksmith.

Quality work, responsive, friendly, well priced… what more can you ask of your local locksmith. David has even popped by with advice when we’ve needed it.

David came to our rescue last Sunday night when my 11 year old accidentally handcuffed himself! Very patiently, David worked away at a small key he had to make it fit and after only 10 mins my son was free - and very relieved! Would highly recommend David's services - Sarah and Olly

David was efficient, courtesy, tidy and went above and beyond changing my door lock and installing a key box. Highly recommend.

Excellent workmanship and extremely fast call out response to my front door lock failure I have no hesitation in recommending David he is professional at a very reasonable cost

Excellent, speedy and polite service. David explained clearly what had happened to the lock, what was required and how much it would cost. Would definitely use again.

David replaced all locks in our house when we moved in. We recently had a problem with one of the locks (our fault entirely) and he came round to fix it the same day we called. Always friendly, professional and efficient. Highly recommended.

We had trouble with a lock that was regularly vandalised. David was able to recommend and source a device which prevents this happening. This is not only an excellent solution to our problem, but was also sourced, obtained and installed with minimum fuss and bother. Altogether an excellent service that was quite beyond anything we could have accessed from elsewhere

Quick to respond, v helpful and good quality product. would recommended

After locking myself out of my flat for the first time, I rang David after doing a Google search and he was the second local number I rang. I’m glad he picked up. He was round in 10 minutes just before the end of his business hours on a Friday and had me back inside within 5 minutes of arriving. Very prompt, no damage or technical changes to my door or lock and he was very pleasant to deal with. Highly recommended. ☺️

After getting to the address suggested by Google... I realised that it was not an office or workshop. But a residence. So I could not actually get my bag locked fixed. However the owner was nice enough to return my calls and explain that his was a mobile operation. So although I could not get my job done, appreciate him retuning my calls. At least I got a good walk up the hill that day :)

Very prompt and helpful

Excellent job this morning from David. Prompt, reassuring and talked through his process fully. Would 100% recommend his services. Thank you

Absolutely fantastic service, highly recommend. David sorted our broken lock within a couple of hours of my call, total professional and very knowledgable and also, importantly, he’s local!

Turned up to our shop within half an hour of call out. Only charged £80 as it was a simple quick job. Even oiled our lock. Great to support a local and independent business being one ourselves!

Fast, efficient, friendly service. Locked out of our kitchen and David arrived 20 minutes later in time to get our Sainsbury's delivery into the fridge/freezer. No extra costs, quote over phone was exactly as we paid. Thank you!

We have today had a visit from Mr David Small who we had contacted yesterday regarding two door (front and rear) locks which were noted to be faulty when we recently moved into our new home. We would wish to recommend this locksmith company to anyone who requires security advice and attention to locks specifically. Mr Small quickly assessed the problems and advised us clearly about them. He quoted us for the complete job at the outset and proceeded with our agreement. We considered the cost to be very reasonable. He was able to effect repairs at the visit including replacement of faulty parts explaining what had gone wrong, why it was, and what he was doing at each stage in the repair process. His field of work in and outside the house was maintained clean and tidy. The results are good. We are most impressed by Mr Small's professionalism and approach throughout our contact with him. We are now in a position to rate Winlocks highly and recommend them to anyone who requires locksmith services.

I phoned Winlocks to ask them to carry out a security review to check that all was in order. The proprietor David Small happened to be working round the corner, and popped by within 15 minutes. He carried out a checkup on the spot and confirmed that all was in order, and no upgrades were required. I asked if I could at least pay for his time, given that it hadn't resulted in any further work for his business, and he waived any fee. A real gent, and honest with it!

Had the unfortunate need to use an emergency locksmith. But Winlocks were AMAZING. Fast, good value, friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

Highly recommend David, he is the consummate professional; punctual & knowledgeable, he resolved our lock issues in a matter of minutes & doesn’t charge the earth to do this either. I’d give more than 5 * if I could

We've used David twice now, most recently when we had an emergency issue with not being able to reliably lock the front door (!). David provided a really quick response (half an hour), and made the existing locks work for a small fee rather than expensive replacement work. Brilliant, very pleased.

I have used Winlocks in an emergency three times now. Each time David has arrived very promptly and sorted out the problem quickly. He is extremely professional and courteous and I would have no hesitation in recommending his services.
