Came out 3 weeks apart said it was a different problem, but the door was doing the exact same thing as first time. He said it needed a new lock. Second time said the panel had dropped, I didn't believe him, told him to leave. My dad is 84 and he paid £204.00 for 20 minutes work. They are just taking advantage of older people. Disgusting and his attitude wasn't great either.

Arrived a couple of hours after I rang, which I was informed off. Nice, pleasant young man. Adjusted the hinges, as the key was jamming. Considering there was no parts to pay for, I thought the job was overpriced. There was no breakdown of the work, or time spent.

I found myself in a real bind first thing on a Monday morning when my car self-locked with the engine running and all my belongings inside. absolutely fantastic service was quoted 180 pounds plus VAT through my RAC. I called them up the next morning they were at my vehicle within seven minutes of the phone call and truthfully the guy was in my car door within a minute very skilled very pleasant couldn't be any happier and they charged with 75 pounds plus VAT I recommend these guys

Found my key would not come out of lock, Called Keytek who swiftly came out and replaced barrel 10 mins tops, service I would rate as first class, engineer knew what he was about all in all a terrific service my only concern was pricing it was stratospheric

Came out within the hour as promised. Your engineer was extremely friendly and helpful. The price was pretty steep considering it was a 2 minute job but I guess that's the price you pay for speed and efficiency - which I couldn't rate higher.

I couldn't get out of my front door this morning. I contacted Lockfit Bournemouth and an engineer was assigned straight away and arrived within an hour and a half. Job was speedily completed. Very efficient and friendly service.

Very disappointed by Results of service . Poor diagnosis and ending up making me pay for nothing. I did not ask for the diagnostics machine to be used that i paid for . If one then does a diagnosis why did they duplicate a key that was working . So that means its guess work. Why make me pay for Guess work. Competency does not leave room for Guesswork. Can’t fault them. Keys got locked in my car and they responded quickly to my enquiry, were able to come out to the car first thing the next morning (phone call was at 17:15 previous day and I said it could wait). The guy was lovely and also helped me jumpstart my cars dead battery! Thank you :)

I recently used Keytek to come and replace a remote key on my daughters first car,as it wasn't working. I tried to fix the problem myself by ordering a new key housing online,but it didn't wwork. I phoned them in the morning and they came out very quickly. Lee sorted the problem with a new key,which is more robust than the old one. I would highly recommend them as they were very professional and knew what they were doing.
Called out on a Saturday. There locksmith came in good time. Ended up having the handle and lock changed. But this was due to my choice as I didn't have time for parts to be ordered and needed it done there and then. Don't know if the price was high or low tbh. Never had this done before but it wasn't much different to what I had expected. The guy that turned up was friendly and chatty. And was very patient with my nan who has dementia.
Great service, but expensive. Still worth even £ for a friendly, professional and expert tradesman to fix any issues with locks or doors. Permanent fix with warranty, what more do you need!

I called this morning and they sent someone out within 30 mins. I was warned that my car may have extra security systems which would mean I couldn’t get a replacement key from them and this happened to be the case. I wasn’t charged a call out fee which I was grateful for. He said he was going to try and find out some more info and would call me back, which he did a couple of hours later. Can’t fault the service and I would highly recommend. Thank you
Called up and operator on the phone was useful… had an engineer booked to come in 30mins, took him less than 10 mins to get into our Mercedes sprinter van which had a dead battery. Price was reasonable. Great service.
We had Dan come out to us today. He was very friendly and a true professional . He did a fantastic job on changing our 4 locks. He was a wealth of knowledge and information on the subject and nothing was too much trouble for him. I would say he went above and beyond. So nice to have him do the job for us, we were very happy and now feel safe.

I was referred to Key Tech by another locksmith company that wasn't able to help. Dean was very swift in getting back to me and I was booked in within minutes. Lee was able to cut and code my spare key for my Smart ForTwo 451 and he was very patient with the tight space he had to work with. No trouble at all for him. He explained and showed me the process on his equipment and did a full run through using both keys to show all functions working perfectly. Ideal aswell as very local to me and they could either come to you or I could go there. I opted for the latter. Fantastic service! Even though my key was very worn, the technician cut a new key that not only functions perfectly, is also aesthetically pleasing.
They phoned me back within 5 minutes and had someone quickly out to repair our broken lock. It was pricier than we would have liked but they were very transparent with the price of things which I appreciated. Will use again!
Called mid Saturday afternoon to get an emergency locksmith out to my aunt who had locked herself out of her flat. Despite agreeing the details with the call handler and assured that someone would be with us in 30 to 45 min, after an hour we never received a call. I then called back to be told that I hadn't called them and they had no record. After waiting a minute or two and confirming who I spoke with, they agreed I had called but was then told that they had no one available so could not help. I'm not one normal to moan, but I'd say that this was rotten service.

Fantastic prompt service. We had a new key and remote supplied cut and coded for our minibus. Lee was onsite the very next morning having contacted them on the previous evening. Highly recommend.
Be careful, this is some kind of agency where a private locksmith visits. He arrived in about 15 minutes and did a great job in less time than that, fixing an old jammed backdoor lock. Replaced a barrel, and the fee of £49 had added emergency fee, labour, parts (expected) to a total of £215! Nice work if you can get it. No invoice or work schedule details.
Didn’t show up to their appointment, when I had not received notice of cancellation. This was an emergency appointment I had driven 2 hours to get to and they didn’t show up. I had made the appointment with them less than 24hrs before. They were not even particularly apologetic about it on the phone: “you’ll have to find someone else”. Great…

You guy had a hell of an afternoon of it, he was there for hours! None of his lockpicks worked on my RAV4, I was starting to think about putting the passenger side quarterlite in, when he got a long metal bar in and managed to open a window.
We have had Two visits of late both from Lee, Lee was upfront, honest and new what he was talking about and explained it in such a way that we understood, unfortunately the job could not be started due to needing additional works first from a auto mechanic, but a refund was completed instantly from head office. Would highly recommend this company

Thank you to Lisa at head office and Tom the engineer in the Penzance area for getting me out of a sticky situation, the service was impeccable, they were able to work quickly and within a very small window, all whilst I was away and did everything remotely. Rang to see if our area was covered. Which it was could have had a visit that day, but chose to book for the next day. Had a time window for arrival. Got a phone call to say locksmith was running over on the previous job and would be slightly late. He turned up and introduced himself. Great job done and it wasn’t easy. Kitchen window was stuck lock broken. Job completed well and in good time. Money well spent. Would highly recommend.

The service promises to send a locksmith by 30 minutes. We waited a total of two hours, punctuated by calls assuring us they would come in "30 to 45 minutes" repeatedly. They told us the locksmith picked up another emergency job before they were coming with us. They had no contact with the locksmith and could not tell us how much time we would have to wait. Very, very unprofessional.

It was an emergency as our neighbour had collapsed and was very ill and had double locked her door. It was a tricky job but the man who attended was absolutely amazing so calm and efficient whilst we were all panicking. He managed to get the door open with minimum fuss. I urgently needed a new key for my Skoda Fabia as the only remaining one I had broke suddenly. Lee from Keytek Locksmiths, Poole, was extremely helpful and efficient, arranging for his company to match an earlier quote which I had received from AA Key Assist and travelling over to my house within a couple of hours to provide me with a temporary solution to get me back on the road during the 7 to 10 day waiting period between ordering a new key and having it delivered and programmed to the car. Excellent service from start to finish. Highly recommended.

Locked out was told it would be cheaper than breaking a window!! Over two hours later he drilled the lock out 2 hours ! Professional locksmith NO Nearly £300 to pay I will not or would not use again very expensive service
The initial contact with the company was perfect, they help with all question and concerns in a very professional manner. Once at the training facility, it was modern, clean and tidy. The instructor was was professional with a very good sense of humor, which helped the course flow. The small course size enables a very good working atmosphere and enables all to progress with confidence and gain the knowledge needed. The instructor was extremely knowledgeable and answered all questions very easily and in a way all understood. He took his time to work with us all individually, but without neglecting the other students. The working stations had plenty of room and the tools were all in good working order and there were spares available upon request. Overall a very professional training facility and company that I would highly recommend to anyone entering this field of work.

I somehow managed to lock my front door with keys still inside of the lock on the inside. It only took maybe 20 mins for someone to come out after I called which was amazing. Colin was so incredibly helpful and somehow managed to open my front door without drilling the lock or doing any damage whatsoever. Did the job quickly and saved me a whole bunch of money. I definitely know who to go to now if I get myself into trouble like this again. Thank you!

Keytek saved our skins this weekend - a cold wet Sunday morning in January. We arrived at my mother in law’s empty house, having travelled from an hour’s drive away to get there, and found we were unable to unlock the front door. It was a latch mechanism problem rather than the lock. One local company, found on google, unhelpfully offered 5pm as the earliest time they could get to the job - a 7 hour wait! Fortunately for us the next company we tried was Keytek - only a 2 hour wait. The man who turned up (David?) could not have been more helpful and meticulous in ensuring that we were eventually left with a functioning and lockable front door even though this was a struggle to achieve. The company still needs to order us a replacement part and then return to finish the job in due course, which I have every confidence they will do. I would recommend Keytek to anyone looking for a locksmith, emergency or otherwise. Excellent service 🙂

called them up in a panic after locking myself out of my bedroom and the guy on the phone picked up very quickly, not sure if it was the same or a different guy that then turned up but i believe his name might have been david? very patient, friendly and professional, didn’t do anything without my landlords permission, and we were in within an hour and a half :) in the nicest way possible i hope i dont have to call again but if the need arises i know i can trust these guys to do a good job !

Today i left a key inside my door, moved a car then couldn't get back in as the key was still in the lock inside. No phone, no wallet, frosty and i'm nearly 80. A neighbour phoned Keytek for me as they were local. They may work a wider area and have local men all over the place, i'm not sure. The young lady explained the cost and said a locksmith would phone my neighbour 10 minutes before arrival. Waited about half an hour in my car with the heater on. Neighbour came over and said 10 minutes and they'll be here. I thought new locks £40 each but as an emergency it'll cost hundreds, then getting keys cut etc. luckily i haven't much but could cover a few hundred. Fact is the locksmith Colin was efficient, on time, polite, charged the basic charge as explained to me by the young lady on the phone. ALL WENT AS THEY SAID IT WOULD FOR £109.20......FIRST CLASS SERVICE BY THE PHONE OPERATOR AND THE LOCKSMITH. THANK YOU KEYTEK. John Pick Poole 5 stars at least.
Very good experience, technician arrived when the company said they would. Naz was polite, reassuring and knowledgeable. He was straight forward and got on with the job. It was very expensive however so a price comparison would be best. If a time factor involved then it was preferable.
So quick at answering and the chap on the phone was excellent as put my mind at ease that the kind of lock was one of their specialties. Unfortunately I didn't get his name but I hope his sneezing fit subsided. Colin the locksmith was over within 20 minutes in an emergency and made it clear what our options were. He gave us really clear advice and was able to keep the cost of the whole thing down. Had the patience to let one of us get back to try a second key which saved drilling the lock. Thank you Colin!!! Not recommended. Locksmith has arrived in 1h, but after 1.5h fight with lock he gave up. Instead of drilling drum he want to cut hinges to take off door. After phone call to office he jump into van and disappeared. And that lovely voice of woman from office saying 'don't forget to charge them' - yes, I heard you.

Had a part ordered from them the first week in July, I was told it is difficult to get hold of. When I have rang for updates I'm told they'll ring me back but doesn't happen. Its now nearing the end of August and I got locked in my house at around 1.30pm and I'm told they have coincidentally got the part today and can come out at 6pm. There's a guest in my house who needs to have his insulin before he can eat and can't leave My house to get it and is expected to wait til 6pm. They didn't want to send another engineer out as it would result in a call out charge when they were the ones who have took nearly two months sitting on a part to fix my door and letting it get this bad. Tried to tell me there was no engineers available suddenly when they are supposed to try and get to you within half an hour but they apparently have no one available for nearly 5 hours. Absolutely ridiculous. Book another company that doesn't leave you waiting nearly two months for a part and values the welfare and safety of their customers, not just their payment. Called another company who came out within 30 mins and did a job that took this company nearly 2 months to not do.

Cannot fault the great locksmith who attended the job and got the work done quickly. However they were a sub-contractor of KeyTek, and KeyTek themselves charge through the nose for work. If you want a good local locksmith at a reasonable price, don't go through KeyTek do a search yourself.
I had such a great time on this course. Not being from a trade background myself, I was starting from a less competent position when compared to my course peers, though at no time did this matter. The course was challenging but not beyond even my capabilities. I will of course need to practice some of the more difficult skills, such as picking locks in order to become more competent over time, but this is true as with any newly acquired skill. The trainer, Tom, was knowledgable, friendly and accommodating. In summary, I would give this 5/5. Thanks to all at KeyTech.
Very helpful and friendly staff, who are more than happy to help you with any queries you may have. Throughout the duration of the course, the instructor was knowledgeable, approachable and very professional nothing was too much hassle and set you at ease from the first morning of being in the classroom. The course was an absolute pleasure to attend and I would highly recommend it to anybody that is considering a career in either carpentry or locksmithing.

I needed a locksmith at the weekend to repair my balcony door which wouldn’t lock. I found Keytec on Google and phoned them up. They were polite and helpful and explained the cost of a weekend call-out against a weekday one. I was ok with that and a locksmith called within the hour. He was polite and tidy and did an excellent job. He also took the time to explain to me the correct way to open and lock the door. Certainly a five star service

Hi I don’t usually revie here but can I just say the guy I spoke to at this company was lovely. I was in some state. Thought my keys had been stolen and house keys were on them. Needed locks changed asap. The chap assured me it would be done and was so sympathetic. Cut a long story short had to cancel an hour later as keys were found. A stroke of good luck and divine intervention. They were on the roof of my husbands car. I phoned chap to cancel and he was so understanding. If it ever happens I need a locksmith I will definitely be phoning him again. Thank you very much.

An excellent training package - Highly recommended. I recently attended a course at this facility to attain a Highfield Level 3 Diploma in Locksmiths and Property Security and Level 4 NCFE accreditation. I started with no experience and left with confidence and a passion for locksmithing. This was an excellent course that was expertly delivered in a relaxed environment that was both challenging but equally rewarding. The trainer had a lot of time for the students allowing ample time for each training scenario, any areas that needed extra time then this was afforded without hesitation. All information presented was clear and consise and anything on topic that was asked about outside of the syllabus were answered - I can't praise this course providor enough other than giving them my highest recommendation to anyone that is interested in the Locksmith Industry - this is one of the best courses that I have completed that is both practical and theory based, and top top it off additional support is offered even after the course has finished.
The course great throughout. The facilities are modern and fully equipped, and it was obvious that Tom was really knowledgeable about the subject as well as doing a great job teaching us how to apply what we knew in a practical setting. The learning materials were really helpful, clear and easy to follow during the lessons, and the teaching was a good balance of theory and practical, with most of the learning done through practical demonstration followed by plenty of time to practice fitting, upgrading and drilling. I had no previous experience of locksmithing, but the course got me to a place where I would be comfortable delivering a wide range of work, and also in finding answers to problems I encounter.

The engineer promptly arrived at our premises. He assessed the situation in a very professional manner, then carried out the unlocking of our door with no damage to the door or lock. What a lifesaver to assist us on a Sunday afternoon! Very grateful.

Terrible over priced and ill mannered, left me outside in the freezing cold for 2 hours because the locksmith this Call Centre as they are Not locksmiths sent was useless, didn't have the tools nor it seemed the experience to get me back into my home. Absolutely disgusting service and wouldn't let another of their so called staff which are actually sub contractors anywhere near my home again

Very thorough and hands on training. Made to feel at ease and able to learn at a good pace. Being a complete beginner I can't believe how much I learnt. I continue to learn every day but that initial training has helped me in every job.

Sadly this company didn't meet expectations. I rung to request course info and dates for my husband. Was told they'd be with me by the end of the day via email. 5 days after this initial contact I have rung each day to advise we're still waiting on the email with course info. Each time I've been politely reassured by various staff members that the info would be sent that day and apologies have been made. Some 7 days later, still no email. Disappointed, and my husband has made the decision to go elsewhere. 2 stars given as the company were always very polite and courteous on the telephone.
I been locked out the shop where I work on 24 th December ,shops closing down cold ,alone and without my back ,my coat ,money home key ,shop key ,phone mobile with numbers ,I was terrified .I rang another Keysmith company who told me that they were not available to help me ,after I phoned Keyteck Andree did a clean fast and polite job ,with good manners and kindly ,by phone they told me 25 to 30 minuts wait but was 15 minutes,Very happy with this company.THANK YOU ANDREE AND KEITHECK.

The 5 day course was really good, great atmosphere. The facilities were really good as were the work stations , tools , lunch , information. Tom was very good teaching us throughout the whole week. A great experience and can't wait to become a locksmith !
I cannot fault anything. The answer to my telephone call by a real person was extremely helpful and polite. The operative, Mark, arrived within about half an hour - sooner than the 1 - 2 hours predicted. He repaired the lock on my double-glazed balcony door within half an hour and gave very useful advice, not only about that door, but also on the bathroom door handle. The balcony door lock works much better than I remember it having done before.
After getting locked out with my two year old on a Tuesday morning whilst on our way to nursery. I called Keytek, who were lovely. Timothy, the locksmith who came was great and kept me updated on how far away he was. It took no time at all to get back in the house and I was very relieved I could pay by card! Who carries cash these days?!? Definitely recommend!

Called up for a quote on having the lock changed on our internal conservatory door and was told they could send someone round for a quote within a few hours - fantastic! But I asked my husband to wait in, and there was no quote given: my husband said which door it was, sorted out our baby and was given a £150 bill for a door we can now only lock on every fifth attempt. £77 of the bill was for labour for a job that took less than 15 minutes! Definitely would not recommend.

Called after a break in. The company answered the phone quickly and talked me through what I needed to do. I didn’t realise I needed to wait for the police first. They came out when I called back and replace both my locks. They even left me a receipt so I can claim on my insurance. Really thorough company and although I feel a little unsure at home I know I’m safe. Very helpful company and cosiderate locksmith and I would recommend calling them if you have a break in.
We had a new lock fitted by this KEYTEK LOCKSMITHS company just over a year ago and I have recently contacted this company to say that the new lock that they had fitted which cost us £326.40 was again not working. The manager of the company informed me that the warranty had now expired albeit by a few months and was unable to resolve the problem unless we paid for their service.He said that the components of their locks came from other companies so could not guarantee their reliability! I told him that I was very disappointed with not only their product, the extortionate charge but also their after sales service. He remained adamant that the warranty was for one year only. Excellent course! The instructors where very professional but still made the course fun. Their insight and experience showed through and some of their real life stories helped to reinforce the training. The training center was well equipped and had the right balance between classroom and practical workshop, overall it was an excellent experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of a career in locksmithing.

Amazes me how they twist reviews to favour themselves . I know they are tamper with reviews on trust a trader I had a few American reviews taken off which they had on . Makes me laugh. When they get a poor one they try to remove it by saying they don't have account of the customer on there data . Rubbish!
I was locked out of my flat on Friday and they came round and overcharged me £150 to replace the barrel in the lock. I've been locked out before and previous locksmiths have been able to use mica plastic to open the locks. I now came home, opened the door using the new barrel only to find the the latch is now jammed and I can't close the door. Not impressed at all. I wont be using Keytek again. That is a cheap shot, to suggest that you can't find my customer record and that I have reviewed the wrong company. The reality is that I did call your company to complain and nothing was done about the issue, which is why I subsequently left a poor review, so that other customers don't get conned.
I was able to arrange a locksmith to my elderly mothers house to fit a key safe so her carers are able to get in and help her after a fall. She was pleased with the locksmith who came out

Absolutely appalling company! Avoid at all costs! Called them to look at the backdoor of a property I rent out. Very quick to come out, misleading with their quote. Wanted to charge me £250 for the the first visit and approx the same for the second visit. Decided I’ll go elsewhere for the follow up visit to replace the temporary parts. Continued to involve me for deposit for second visit. The company sent a locksmith out who hammered on the front door very early in the morning waking my tennents up, as well as the neighbours, became aggressive and demanded entry in to the property to remove the temporary parts. Avoided all email complaints. But continued to try to charge me the full initials cost. Took months to resolve, eventually paying the £157 only and a complaint to trading standards. Look elsewhere. This company is the worst!

It was not clear from the details on the internet that this was not a local company, they are a national call centre only and sub contract the work out to local locksmiths. Although the man that came out was lovely and did a very good job, Keytek actually had nothing to do with the work itself and obviously this costs a lot more to book this way, They state in their advert that there is no call out charge, but they charge £87 +vat just to attend the property. I thought I found a local company with a local telephone number which was 5 minutes from my home, yet the person who attended travelled 30 minutes to get to me. The number I called was actually just a call centre.

Left my keys on the train, these guys were with me after just over an hour (didn't mind the wait too much as the weather is hot) now have a better lock in my door than before. Will use again
I can see no logical reason anyone would use them. Basically they are a call centre that just rings around locksmiths on your behalf who are local to wherever you are. If they are having problems finding one then you are losing valuable time, plus they can only contact locksmiths who use them. Whereas you can use anyone. Th best solution if you are urgent is ring local locksmiths directly to find the one that can get to you the soonest. Much faster, plus you are in control of situation and so more reliable. Plus they take a cut for the referral so you would pay more than if you did it yourself.
Terrible, avoid at all costs. Promised me a locksmith within the hour late at night and also insisted there was no cancellations. Then did not show up as arranged and left me stranded overnight. Also trade under various different names so they take up all the advert space in the phone book.
We called after a burglary. The locksmith came out and fixed our locks and offered security advice which we hadn’t really thought of. Polite and professional service that gave us peace of mind.
I had to replace a front door Yale lock and an adjoining inner lobby door Chubb lock. It was a non emergency. I contacted Keytek based on the reviews it had. Unfortunately the job was not up to standard expected from a locksmith. The fitter changed the Yale lock satisfactorily which was pretty straightforward but had to order the Chubb lock which we agreed to. He gave me the bill for £195.60 inc VAT and a £50 deposit on the Chubb lock which I had to pay. A further £21.60 was to be payable after fitting of the Chubb. He came back today and fitted the lock and gave me the additional bill. I said I would check the lock first and found it did not engage. He said 'Oh I should have checked that" (a pretty basic requirement for a so called locksmith really). His comment then was that the bar "... was miles out" and then proceeded to re-chisel the door frame until it fitted. When he had finished the striker plate had a gap surrounding it which he said I would have to fill in. To add insult to injury he than said he could have charged me a 2nd call out charge but agreed not to. He seemed in a hell of a rush and was clearly put out that the lock did not fit first time. On top of this, the wood debris from adjusting the plate in the door frame was left on the floor with a comment to my 70 year old wife " You don't mind clearing this up do you?" After he had gone is became clear why the lock did not fit, it was a Union lock not a Chubb so I will have to take this up with Keytek. The whole operation for 1 call out and fitting 2 locks was £217.20 which I though pretty extortionate in the circumstances. I will not be using or recommending Keytek again.
Called around a few companies but this was the only company that could get to me ASAP. Locked myself out of the house just before work, but left my car keys in house. The guy that came was friendly. Got to work in time!

A no show when booked 5 days ahead! "Locksmith van wouldn't start" and NO-ONE else in the area (York) as back up. If they can't service a booking with 5 days notice, I won't be relying on them for an urgent call out.

Easter Sunday I had the need to call a locksmith. Before calling Keytek i tried a few companies, some just didnt answer the phone and others were very expensive (probably because it was easter sunday, maybe?). Anyway i called keytek, got through and the chap booked me in. Within about 1.5 hours of calling the locksmith had arrived and completed his work. Very professional. Thank you Keytek.
An absolute disgrace. The lady on the phone told me over and over again that they are the cheapest in town, they do price comparisons every Monday and £200 is the cheapest I'll get. The next company I rang quoted the same job at £100, then another company quoted me £75. I rang this company back to check the price, they guy I spoke to this time also quoted me £200 for the job. When I asked about the price comparisons they apparently carry out every Monday morning be told me he wasn't going to comment on the price difference. I don't normally write reviews but in this instance I am so amazed that this company thinks they can take advantage of people who are locked out of their homes.
I range them around 2.00pm and the technician got there at 4.00pm. It usually took them over 2 hours to arrive, and the labor charge is £80 plus vat per hr. When the technician got there, he told me that "gear box" of the lock needed to be changed and it costed £90 for the parts, with total cost added up to £210. I felt disappointment but had no time to find an alternative or no option to do so. To be honestly, I felt to be ripped off. It worthwhile to shop around for less cost options. I was a bit regretted for not to read their reviews before I range them.

These days you get what you pay for.... Pay cheep get cheep!!! Did a bit of calling around and found Keytek to be there or there about on cost, what made these guys stand out was there customer service. The engineer didn't disappoint either. All in all highly recommend.

This company appear to advertise in Yellow Pages under different company names with different phone numbers - be warned: they all divert to a call centre - I know because I tried several numbers all purportedly from different businesses. That's not what I would call an honest or transparent practice. The person I spoke to first informed me that I would not get a better price (a shade under £100 just for the first hour plus any parts) because, quote "we have a contract which covers the whole of Dorset and you wont find anyone cheaper because every locksmith in the area comes through us" unquote. Lies. Which a quick Internet search proved. When I called them back, they a) threatened me with a cancellation fee which, they informed me, 'was explained to me on the phone'. It wasn't and b) stated that they will investigate the recording of the call - which is interesting because they did not inform me that the call was being recorded at all. They then asked me for more contact details which I refused to give and informed them that if they wish to try charging me, a manager needs to speak to me first. I do know something of contract law and I can say quite confidently that no contract for a cancellation fee (no price was ever mentioned) was ever formed. So good luck with pursuing that Keytek. If anyone experiences this - go to your local CAB. A short legal letter form a solicitor should suffice, if it really needs to go that far. I instead found a really great independent locksmith who fixed the lock at a great price and was a really friendly and helpful chap to boot. In summary, from my experience of this company I would avoid them as you would the plague. If one phones up a locksmith one expects a locksmith to answer, not to be put through to a call centre, with staff with very poor telephone skills and a company masquerading under different company names who then makes threats of trying to impose charges it has no right to make. What kind of business has so little confidence in its own name that it feels it has to advertise under different names to get business? Avoid.
Thank you keytek, great service all round. After having a disasterous experience with another locksmith threatening me and making me feel unsafe and vulnerable I had to call out another locksmith to rectify the problem and make me feel safe in my own home again. Sceptically I called round about 12 locksmiths in and around my area and keytek stood out from all the others, the guys on the phone reassured me and made me feel confident from the beginning and when the locksmith turned up (on time) he did the work with ease (something the previous chap couldn't boast). I simply Couldn't recommend them enough. Well done keytek
Had new upcv doors and windows fitted this week... Which look very smart! However I thought that to be on the safe side I'd get the locks changed and upgraded from the standard ones came with the doors. Having done a bit of research and called Keytek they confirmed that ABS were the ones to go with, not the cheapest on the market, but who wants the cheapest locks on your home, not me anyway! I booked Keytek in for the next day and had everything changed within the hour (4 locks). Thanks guys, great job.
Life saved!:) thanks Keytek. Mum lost her keys on the beach on Saturday, I had also lost the spare set a month or so ago and kept putting of getting a new set cut! Resulting in being locked out! Great service from Keytek over the BH weekend. Lost keys whilst away with family for the weekend. Called them on the way back home, booked them to be there at 11pm!!! Their local locksmith was there waiting for us. Got us back in nice and quickly . Good price, great service.

Experts in their field! I have been an amateur locksmith for many years both fitting and mending broken locks, however last week I was puzzled with why my upcv back door was stuck shut! Having tried a variety of different options, I called Keytek who were clearly experts in their field and had the door open and fixed in no time at all, very impressive indeed. I would highly recommend Keytek to anyone in need of this expert service.
Company being reported. I went thru Thompson directory to get a local locksmith. When I spoke to the guy I asked if I am speaking to Norwich he replied 'Yes'. As it was an emergency I accepted the callout fee. After the guy arrived, and the extent of the repair became apparent the costs shot up, thats when I found out it was key tech. The advertising in the local thompson is nearly all key tech, you have to know where to look to see there name. Very deceptive and immoral. They swamp the advertising under different names. Now stuck between a rock and a hard place, would not have been able to repair myself and the replacement on order at 160 plus vat, not to mention another attendance fee. Have heard that the owners of this enterprise are very well off, fancy . Only got one star as you cannot publish without selecting, otherwise none
Do not get this Company out, I had a perfectly good locking door but unfortunately had my keys stolen from outside the door so only needed the lock changed. Since they changed the lock and I was charged £124.00 it won't double lock. They came out again and stated that the mechanism in the door needed replacing and that this would cost an extra £60.00 plus labour charges. Their first locksmith had to break the barrel lock to remove this which could have damaged the locking system of course they are denying this and now I am left with a door that does not double lock. I am going to report them to Trading Standards. A word of advice do not give them your money. Mrs J Vincent
1 lock fully fitted in almost 2 hours - shoddy workmanship (poorly cut fitting, badly inserted screws, a chunk chiselled out of the doorframe) and messy too. For £250, it pays to find someone else!
