Fantastic service here. Have had trophy's engraved, leather boots mended, zips replace and he is always super quick and excellent value for money. Especially good with long riding boot zips. Highly recommended
My car key completely gave up, I took it to keys is us received Excellent same day service, plugged the computer into my car and reprogrammed me a totally new key fob and cut a new blade. Pete also replaced my battery in my other key fob. All done for the third of the price it would’ve cost at main dealership. Very knowledgeable and helpful.
Contacted Pete after another key cutting shop refused to cut my own supplied key blades. What an amazing service, not only did he cut the keys while I waited his charges were more than reasonable. Would definitely recommend and use again.

I had lost the key for my GS BMW panniers when they were locked. I thought I would have to buy new barrel locks and a new pannier handle but with a specialised tool, he managed to not only pick the locks but cut new keys for the existing locks which saved me a fortune! I'm absolutely astonished at the top-notch job they did in repairing my coveted motorcycle boots. Mind you, I experienced a minor accident that left parts of the sole detaching from the boot, and these people were able to restore them to a pristine condition. They even look better than when I bought them! Brilliant store with excellent customer service and unbeatable rates.

I’m the proud owner of a 67-year old foreign classic car. Having broken one of its keys some time ago I called in expecting at the very least that the blank key would have to be ordered but it was in stock and I had the replacement key cut within minutes. Not only that but it worked first time and perfectly. Need a key? Don’t bother going anywhere else. Go straight to this absolute Aladdin’s cave of keys, leather repairs, trophies and much else.

I was despairing, having broken the connectors in our car remote key (trying to replace the battery). The gentleman who helped me (in the Keys is Us) shop was wonderful. Before I knew it, he'd got the key remote open, got the gubbins out, put the connectors back in place, closed it all up, and wallop it works. Our car repairers quoted near £400, a key repairer a minimum £180 - compared to next to nothing. Pleased doesn't sum it up - more than excellent - 6 stars if I could. And what a nice kind man - a revelation these days. I definitely recommend. Thank you.
Have been popping in for years, for shoe repair, boots repair and good advice on house keys and car keys. Watch battery’s really good value and only £6,99 unlike Timsons who are day light robbery. The owner is so very helpful and professional has great prices not overpriced like other places. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend! Pete's customer service is incredible! He definitely goes above and beyond to help. I phoned him in a panic as a friend of mine had got her keys locked in the car with her little one inside as we were on the school run. He made some calls to get the correct key done, very quickly got a spare made up and got us out of trouble.

I have used Pete's shop a few times and have always received very polite help. I went to see him a few days ago with a non functioning fob for my Jaguar. Expecting to pay for a new one, Pete first checked it, and advised me it was functioning. He took his computer and fob to my car and did what he referred to as a manual reset using only the fob. Immediately, car and fob are back on line. The cost of this? Zero. "I don't sell my customers what they don't need," said Pete. If you have a key issue then Keys Is Us is the only shop you need. I always come here for my keys and even had an Astra key cut which saved me the dealer price. My most recent visit was because I bought an old French folding caravan that had no key with it. I messaged Pete and asked whether it was possible to have a key made. He told me to bring in the lock and he would have a go. He spent ages searching through codes and then with a bit of trial and error managed to get me a working key. I've refitted the lock and it's now locking and unlocking no problem. It's saved me the nightmare of replacing the barrel or the lock on a not at all standard caravan and for a really reasonable price.
Absolutely amazing service, this is the 2nd time I have used this company and highly recommended. The man (sorry I don't know your name) even stayed open just after he had closed for the day on a Saturday. Much appreciated
I had a problem that my car key AND the spare both failed. Getting a replacement battery wasn’t easy. I tried a couple of key places. No luck and LandRover wanted £480 for a new key. One key place highly recommended Pete at KeysIsUs as he quoted ‘ he’s an expert’ in all keys. I went straight to KeysIsUs and as soon as I put my keys down Pete knew which car and model I had. He was able to provide me with TWO new keys that work 100%. The service was amazing. Pete’s knowledge is second to none. The cost was SO reasonable I still can’t believe it. What a fabulous find. So very helpful, friendly and professional and not only Car keys; door keys, engraving, shoe repairs too. What a gem of a service. If I could give 10 stars I would. It’s tucked away behind the Bridal shop If you use the postcode/Sat nav. Drive in. Parking at rear.

Rang up at 9am to enquire about a spare key for our car. By 10 am we were driving off with the key in the ignition and £50 in Pocket over what the main dealers quoted us yesterday. Delighted to have found this cracking little business

Cannot rate this business highly enough. Had a massive issue with my Fiesta key being so worn it wouldn't start the car...so worn that Pete had to suss the cuts because the machine couldn't read it 🙈 got a replacement blade on my original car & then a blank second cut & coded in absolutely no time. Pricing is brilliant too, would have cost me £300+ for a new key from Ford, but paid just £60 for new blade & my blank second cut & coded. Top notch & Pete is a genuinely nice guy too. Highly recommend for any key needs

I have been using Keys Is Us for longer than I care to remember. Pete is a lovely bloke, extremely helpful and honest. He’s cut, fixed and supplied countless amounts of keys with never an issue.
Visited the store a couple of days before my holiday worried as hell that my Toyota Celica wasn't going to unlock when I get back. Had issues for months with my key fob on both current and spare key for being really temperamental for unlocking. (Been ripped off by timpsons in the past and them not agreeing to cut a flip key i provided but didnt have one themselves.) Completely aware the system to sort it out would cost £££. I didn't get the guys name in the store, but after a bit of investigation, he realised that the solder had come off and the buttons weren't placed properly. He resoldered, replaced battery. Working perfectly everytime and only charged me £5 for the battery. I will be returning with my spare, partners keys and plenty more in future due to his honesty and not being a rip off!! Massively recommend this company!

Brilliant... Knowledgeable and friendly. Had an issue with my car key fob after it went through the wash. Saved me loads of money, by identifying my car's after market alarm system and even came to my house to help sort the issue. Went above and beyond to help. Can't recommend enough.
So I popped into Keys Is Us today with my ancient riding boots, thinking the zip was broken. The lovely chap fixed the zip within a few minutes, and didn't even charge me! A lot of places would have seen an opportunity to make £40-£50, but instead, he sent me away with a zip that works and a smile on my face. I will definitely be back, hopefully with something that actually needs replacing next time! Thanks so much x
Great, friendly, efficient service. Popped in today as had an issue with both my Volvo smart keys. They were able to fix the issue in a few minutes and a couple of quid when Volvo tried to charge £150 for a diagnostics and then £140ph. Would definitely recommend.

Been in here a couple of times but today was my biggest spend. Needed a spare key for my car. Considerably cheaper than main dealer prices and high street key cutters this independent company sorted out a new key programmed to work perfectly. Friendly service and very knowledgeable and beyond helpful with all my questions whilst the key was sorted. Would highly recommend.

I can't rate this shop highly enough. Were very helpful/informative/friendly, helped save me £120 on a shed lock. Will definitely use them again in future as they're not out to rip you off like many companies just wanting to make excessive money from customers. Actually whilst I was there someone else was also being saved a small fortune too. We need more independent, friendly shops like this back on our streets!

Superb service. Polite, very reasonable on price, efficient, friendly. Honestly, I would use these every time now, for shoe repairs key cutting (or to buy a trophy!). My wife needed her boots fixed, glued all around the seam. Not only was this done but the gentleman also cleaned and polished them for free. Whole service cost us just £5.

Tucked in behind the bridal shop, opposite Aldi, just before the traffic lights and junction with Straight Road is this absolute gem of a place. Excellent key cutting - recommended to us by our locksmith who had to come and rescue our jammed front door (caused by keys cut on the wrong sized blank from well known high street cleaning and watch repair service). I’ve had keys cut and tricky repairs made to well loved boots - all with fabulous attention to detail. Friendly service and since “we don’t like to see our customers cry in the shop” I got a discount when having 11 keys cut!

I called here to see if a key could be made for the boot of my husband's trike, as we'd lost the original. Once I had picture's I txt them and the immediate response was that he could do it but until he'd got the lock off he couldn't say how long it'd take. So we headed straight their, within 30mins not only had the lock been removed but the key made (that fits better than our original). Can't recommend highly enough...

I was recommended by Homebase to visit this key cutting service as they couldn't help with some special keys. When I arrived a very friendly and helpful gentleman advised me that he could cut any key from vehicles, commercial and private properties. In what seemed like no time at all I had all the keys cut and they all worked perfectly. Definitely recommend if you are in any doubt, then please give them a try.

Timpsons, demanded I buy a spare car from them, cut and programmed. These guys were happy to cut a blank that I brought in (and program if wanted). The relative, cost was significantly cheaper. Fast and friendly.

A massive thank you to keys Is Us, always helpful and friendly, I have used his services many time to cut keys and fix my car key but this time he went above and beyond to help as I needed something laser engraved for a present and everywhere I tried they said they had to send away and would take about 2 weeks, so I thought I'd see if keys Is Us could help, not only does he do engraving but he done it straight away, he's a legend I can't thank him enough for such a fantastic service, great business would highly recommend.

Not only did he get the key out the lock but he made us a new one that worked better then the original key we were provided. We had another key but we’re five hours from home where it was he saved our weeks work. Price wise this guy is too cheap! Over half the price of every other company we contacted. Have used this key cutting service for a while now. The guy who works there is very helpful and knowledgeable about everything they offer. Every key has worked first time and offered money back or replacement if it hasn't but haven't had to use the offer yet. Highly recommended
Incredible service, my car key was broken in half and they were able to cut me a new one and transfer the chip over. Saved hundreds on the main dealer cost which would also have taken 10 days+ as well! They did it in under half an hour! Would recommend Keys Is Us for any type of keys.

Fantastic service going above and beyond (unusual and brilliant to see in this day and age) My Daughter in Law had problems with her Ford KA and a key fob transponder failure, meaning she couldnt start her car at all. Having 2 children under 3 and a seriously ill mother to look after, this led to something of an emergency to resolve as quickly as possible. Having explained the nature of the problem and it’s urgent nature it was wonderful to see Keys Is Us agree to come out to her after work & problem solve the issue that day.. great service at a very decent price,, thank you for your decency, professionalism and understanding.. highly recommended.
Fantastic shop which did a super job replacing the heels on my shoes. Honestly the quality of the job is so high it puts the high street names to shame. Very reasonable prices. No idea why you would go anywhere else!
Very helpful cut a new ford flip key which I purchased elsewhere. Changed over the buttons circuit board and chip from the original non flip key as I got in early so wasn't busy..so I gave him extra for helping me out. Would use again huge range of keys and can programme keys .Great prices compared to others I called .some wouldn't even cut my key. Easy parking .
My ford remote key had stopped working after replacing the battery. I had been quoted £107.50 from the Ford garage, but keys is us have fixed it for £10! Fantastic customer service, really helpful.
Fantastic, friendly and very quick service. I needed a broken remote keyfob sorted for the car. Vauxhall wanted over £200 because they reckoned my one couldn't be repaired, the guy here had me sorted out in about 10 minutes for the grand sum of £35 including cutting a key blank. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

Keys Is Us is THE BEST place in Colchester to get any key or shoe sorted out, whether house or car keys, or what type of shoe, they can help. Although I've never had my shoes done, I have seen lots of happy customers leave with fixed shoes! Main Positives: Extremely good value for money, fast, friendly and efficient service and range of keys and options is amazing! I always use them and always will! Negatives: Parking is a bit tight, but for a driver who knows their vehicle it's not hard to get in, just a bit daunting. There are about 3 or 4 spaces, but they are never occupied for very long because Keys Is Us are so fast and efficient! Sorry, meant to post the review part sooner but forgot.
Don't forget they mend shoes too. Had a pair of solovair boots (like Dr. Martens) resoled by these guys. They did such a good job for a quarter of the price others quoted that i have just dropped off a second pair for them to do. boots came back all polished and very water repellent after too, rain just fell off leaving the boots still gleaming.
OMG! What they don't have in keys, this is like the keymaster from the Matrix! No one better!

Wanted to have a spare remote key as when I bought my car they never supplied one. Searched online and this place came up with good reviews and thought I'd give it a go. Got inside and asked for a duplicate remove key. They cut and programmed the key in less than 10 mins and I was out of the door very happy. Very quick, fantastic service and price is half than what the car manufacturer would charge. Highly recommended!

WHAT A FIRM. After the loss of my keys for my van I rang these boys. Having used them once before for a straight forward job. This one however was not straight forward.
