Dave and his apprentice from DFB Heating & Energy were absolutely fantastic. They carried out a boiler service, a gas fire service, and fitted a Hive thermostat — all to a really high standard. Communication was spot‑on throughout, the price was fair, and nothing was too much trouble. I even asked if they could fit a new flush valve while they were here, and they sorted it on the spot without any fuss. Both of them were genuinely sound lads and brilliant with our very jumpy dog, which made the whole experience even easier. Highly recommend — reliable, friendly, and excellent at what they do.

Used for a gas safety check previously and had no problems. Was due to come round to look at boiler pressure dropping which turned out to be a leaking radiator. Cancelled twice at short notice after promising someone would come round. Was sent a video after 2nd missed appintment showing the leak getting worse, response was 'Looks really bad that i think try get another engineer i dont know wen ill be able to get there." When does show up is great, but not reliable and wouldn't use again or recommend.

After my boiler kept losing pressure I called Dave out who came the same day to look what the issue was. He was able to resolve this quickly, after fitting a new part and explained everything to me. This company is absolutely brilliant. After trying to find a plumber to replace my boiler I'd had months of being messed around, ghosted and wasted too many days waiting in for other companies only for them not to turn up at all! Their communication via both texts and voice notes was second to none. They're knowledgeable, professional and really care about doing a good job. Dave gave me a very competitive and reasonable quote. He sent Alan to fit the boiler who was professional, really patient with my dogs barking (!) and was a thoroughly decent guy. Alan did an excellent job and was meticulous about cleaning up afterwards. The new boiler is brilliant! Alan was patient when teaching me how to set the timer etc too. Dave followed up with me both during and after the job to make sure I was happy. They even got rid of my old boiler for me. Contacted DFB through MyBuilder regarding a boiler issue and they were really quick and responsive in arranging to come out. Josh came out and reviewed the boiler and gave really honest and practical advice around needing a new boiler due to the age of my current one and the likelihood of attempting repairs actually working. That being said, he said he would get me a quote for both repairs and replacement and there was no pressure around replacing the boiler which I think is always a sign of an honest tradesperson. It’s been 48 hours since this and I’ve had a new boiler fitted today. Really reasonable price with a 10 year warranty. Connor and Josh fitted the boiler and have nothing but good words to say about these in terms of quality of work, efficiency and just generally nice, down to earth lads. The owner Dave has also been really accommodating in term of getting me fitted in for a new boiler with less than 48 hours notice and whilst he comes across really experienced and knowledgable, he is also really sound and down to earth as well. All in all, highly recommend this company and these lads for any plumbing work and it’s finally good to have a decent plumbing company in my contact list! Thanks again ☺️

Very happy with the service provided by DFB. I had issues with my boiler over a weekend. After trying to contact a number of plumbers Dave at DFB thankfully came through. He quickly diagnosed the problem and ordered the parts to fix the boiler. The parts arrived within a couple of days and his team arrived as promised and did a great job replacing the parts. Honestly based on our experience I can't recommend this firm. Dave is probably absolutely fine unfortunately the kids that came to replace our boiler and radiators weren't. We told them to be careful of the floor and skirts because they were all new. They scratched the floor and managed to soak just about everything they touched. No small amount of water either literally we had to mop the floors and put a heater in to dry the floor out as when you stood on it you could see the water coming up from the underlay. Left a valve upstairs open causing a leak through the ceiling. Attached picture of water leaking through the ceiling. With a bucket underneath it. Left a radiator leaking, this was last year. Came back to try to fix, It didn't work and It's never been remedied even after attempted contact. Literally we still cannot use the radiator in that room. Never came back to us. I was asked if I'd cement the new flue in. Why would I do that when I'm handing over thousands of pounds for a job? £2,650. They were reasonable compared to other contractors. The seals for the flue weren't even pressed into the cement just left hanging I had to press them in. The cement they used has already cracked after a few months and looks like an absolutely terrible job. Didn't receive any certification for the boiler work for months, ended up contacting gas safe UK to make them do it. Who informed us that they hadn't been informed by the fitters. The only reason I didn't give 1 star is because the boiler is in and does work.

I had an issue with my boiler, and DFB Plumbing responded quickly to my request. They were professional, efficient, and managed to source the necessary replacement materials promptly. The repair was carried out smoothly, and the pricing was very reasonable. Excellent service—highly recommend!

Top quality service. Messaged with an emergency issue with our boiler at my restaurant and they had our new boiler ordered, delivered and fitted including a long warranty within 36 hours. Can’t fault them and couldn’t recommend them highly enough start to finish. Great company!

Very happy with the service provided by DFB...our boiler broke and following a late evening call by ourselves they were able to come the very next day at a time mutually convenient to us both. Problem diagnosed and fixed promptly with a new circuit board which they had in the van and didn't need to order in. Would recommend to others and use again.

Boiler broke down on NYE, during a nasty cold snap. Lots of plumbers didn’t pick up, but Dave thankfully came through; he quickly diagnosed the problem and installed a new boiler within a couple of days. Would highly recommend for kind, honest and knowledgeable service

DFB replaced a pressure sensor on our boiler 2 months ago. For five years I had thought there was something wrong with the pipes and everything would need replacing. We were adjusting the pressure daily to get the boiler to come on. Now after 2 months everything is fine so DFBs hunch that it was the sensor was right and much cheaper than replacing the pipes.

The boiler flue at my mother in law's was blown off by storm Darragh and we had to turn the boiler off. British Gas couldn't cover the repair under their maintenance contract so we had to look for an alternative quickly. I contacted DFB last night and got a response right away. They agreed a really competitive price and came this afternoon and completed, including engaging and roofer to fit the flashing kit. All the lads who came were really friendly and tidied up after themselves. They even took their shoes off before they went upstairs! The lads checked the boiler and made sure it was working and the radiators were on before they left. All done less than 24 hours after first contact. HIGHLY recommend DFB. Absolutely fantastic service, I called Dfb when I had an issue with my shower, Dave came round and identified the issue with the shower pump. The same day he had ordered a like for like replacement and it was fitted the next day by Mark. Dave and Mark were both friendly and honest about the situation and the ways to fix it and they have certainly put my trust back into trades after we have had issues with a plumber before. All I can say is thank you and I certainly won’t be going elsewhere for any future heating or plumbing issues

Looked online for a gas engineer and read the great reviews for Dave at Dfb Plumbing and Heating, plus he was locally based so gave him a go. Extremely nice and professional on the call and gave advice and his operative Josh came out the next morning, very friendly and professional, done a thorough check for a gas leak and even though the tester said no leaks he pursued it and located and repaired a small leak to the pipe knut behind my built in electric oven, put everything back, checked hob burners, cleaned up and left with a smile, fair price too! Will certainly use this company again if needed 👍

Got a repair done on my leaking boiler and under sink unit a fortnight ago and I couldn't pass without leaving a worthy review. Dfb came out and repaired the leaking pipe underneath sink unit in a flash, took the boiler apart, diagnosed where the leak was coming from and was able to repair the boiler in just the one visit. Rang DFB Plumbing amf heating on Wednesday with a issue with my new kitchen fitting the dish washer in as the pipes where a disaster. Called Dave on 27th Dec for an emergency boiler repair. He arrived when he said he would later that same day, diagnosed the issues, explained what work needed doing and for what cost, and had the boiler going again within the hour. Great service, would recommend.

Called to get two radiators fitted. Also needed a radiator moving last minute once they were there which I didn't specify in the beginning. Nothing was too much trouble. I was particular of where I needed pipes moving aswell and they where happy to accommodate this. They turned up the day after I called for a quote and on the agreed day to carry out the works. Nothing was too much trouble and customer service was brilliant. Would definitely call them first with any other heating or plumbing. Fair price. Would definitely recommend.

Had dave out today to disconnect a gas fire and cap it off, tricky job as pipe went through concrete base,dave did me a favour by capping it off by the gas meter so I have the option of taking base out great price and great service would highly recommend
