Following a flood caused by a burst pipe, we needed carpets and vinyl replaced. A friend recommended the Carpet Trade Centre and from our first visit we felt they were competent, helpful and a pleasure to work with. Great choice of floorings, and the fitters went above and beyond! Couldn't fault them from start to finish - in fact they were so good, we're going to have new bedroom carpets too!

Absolutely delighted with my new flooring! I wanted to extend some existing Amtico flooring from my kitchen through the middle room to the hallway and it looks absolutely fantastic. Graham came out to measure and explained the whole process and timescale, then provided a quote which I was really happy with. The fitter was lovely and finished the flooring to a really high standard. I highly recommend the Carpet Trade Centre, really straightforward and professional and super friendly! Thank you so much.

We have just had our kitchen floor redone and also the upstairs carpets. We have had a very good experience and are really happy with all of the products and work. Each fitter that came was knowledgeable and did a brilliant job. We wanted to get it right so we went in to the shop several times to look at different samples and took a few home to try before deciding which definitely helped. All the staff are friendly and happy to help. Thanks very much everyone.
I have just had all the flooring replaced by the carpet trade centre. Very good service, flexible to my needs and dates. Trevor the fitter did a really good job, including all awkward bits. This is the second time that I have used the carpet trade centre, good job both times. Well recommend by me
We recently had both carpets and flooring fitted throughout our home by The Carpet Trade Centre and honestly couldn’t be happier with the final results and customer service from start to finish. A huge thank you to Graham in the shop, who was incredibly helpful while we were choosing our flooring. He took the time to talk us through various different options, gave great recommendations, including pros and cons, on the different manufacturers and was very patient with us whilst we changed our minds multiple times. He even brought us large samples from the shop to see how they looked in our home to ensure we selected the flooring that best fit. His knowledge, advice and friendly nature made the whole process much easier. To further add to our excellent initial first impression, we had to cancel our flooring dates on two separate occasions due to delays purchasing our home but each time it was not an issue for Graham and Dean, and it was simply rescheduled to their next available dates. We did also price check against three other flooring companies in the surrounding area and The Carpet Trade Centre were the most competitively priced by a long shot, which is another bonus. Special thanks as well to Martin (and his colleague who I've sadly forgotten the name of) for the carpet installation, the finish is excellent and the quality is top class. We did have a minor issue that one transition strip was damaged but that was a supplier issue, not the shops. We were notified by Martin as soon as he knew, and we've since had Trevor attend who went completely out of his way to get to us to complete the job (without charge). They quite literally went the extra mile for us. And finally, a massive, and arguably the loudest of all, thank you to Chris for the amazing job fitting our Invictus flooring. We didn't make his life easy by going for a herringbone pattern in three separate colours but it looks absolutely fantastic and has completely transformed the space. People always say new builds don't have character, but we've definitely got that with our new flooring. The attention to detail was brilliant, every cut was perfectly precise to the millimetre and the final result looks stunning. Chris had a very minor criticism of his own work that we didn't even spot and he also came back without charge to make amends. Absolutely brilliant and again literally going the extra mile for the customer. Excellent customer service, highly skilled fitters, and a genuinely great experience throughout. Would highly recommend The Carpet Trade Centre to anyone looking for quality flooring and professional installation that is competitively priced.
Had a grest experience from start to finish with the Carpet trade centre when choosing karndean flooring The guys were really friendly and and knowledgeable and talked me through the great range of flooring in their showroom Once decided my room was measured up and very competively priced. The floor is now down and I am extremely happy with the end result the fitter Trevor has done a smashing job it looks great !! I have also had a lovely carpet fitted which I am also very happy with the fitters have done a lovely job Great customer service received from day 1.. thank you Graham and team 😊
Excellent service from start to finish for our new flooring. Helpful ideas on design touches when Graham came out to measure before quoting. Competitive pricing. Clear communication then excellent fitting by an experienced fitter (Chris). Would throughly recommend this company and will use them again in the future.
Graham and co did a fantastic job for me, assisting me with product choice, measuring up, and fitting. All done quickly, cheerfully, and very professionally. Great customer service. If I could rate higher than 5 I would.
Every step of the way the whole process with the Carpet Trade Centre was faultless. From my first visit to the warehouse where the advice was very helpful, to the measuring up service, then the very quick quotation all the way through to the professional fitting, they were a pleasure to work with. From my first visit to the warehouse I had new carpets fitted throughout my upstairs within 5 weeks and at such competitive prices. All communication was quick, efficient and professional. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company.
I cannot fault my experience with this company and their fitters. Fantastic value for money, quality carpet professionally fitted. I know customers should always expect this kind of service but the low price I paid made me think there might be a problem.... From the moment we visited the shop to look at samples, the team was incredibly nice and helpful. The value was unbeatable: the initial quote came in at nearly half the price of a nearby Tapi's! The bloke who came out to measure was also super chill and made the entire preparation process quick and relaxed. The fitting team were brilliant & quick, completing the job to a perfect standard. We highly recommend this shop and will look to use them again when we get the rest of our flooring done.
Just had our flooring completed by Chris, we went for Karndean canadian nude oak in herringbone. We are so happy with the end product and finish! We received excellent customer service from the guys. Chris was also super efficient and his 37 years experience definitely shows! Highly recommend!
Thoroughly disappointed. I never write poor reviews but feel this warrants one. The carpet fitters came today to fit the 2nd half of my carpet only to tell me it was 40cm too short. They were excellent, really apologetic and explained they would have to come back in a couple of days to fit it when the The Carpet Trade Centre could recut/order in the correct carpet. I waited a couple of hours expecting an apology phone call or something from CTC, but nothing. I then noticed a stain on the carpet that had been fitted a couple weeks prior like a purple spray, so the fitters must have leaked something in it today. I drove down to the CTC - nobody was on the phone interestingly. I said I was not happy that the wrong carpet size had been ordered and that nobody had called me to apologise in the past 2 hours. The person who I deemed to be the manager stayed behind the desk and did not even get up to come over and speak to me. A younger guy with dark hair was apologetic and more understanding. I asked what they could do to recompense me as I now had to take another day off work to get the carpet finished, and I now had a stain. The manager guy just kept saying all I can do is apologise, was not interested in rectifying the issue and the apology was not genuine, his attitude was extremely poor. He said they now had to order in another carpet to rectify the issue - I explained this was their issue was they measured incorrectly to begin with and irrelevant and nothing to do with the issue of recompense for myself. Never had such bad customer service. Now left with a stained carpet and one room not done after spending nearly £3,000. If they had owned the issue today and genuinely apologised without the attitude then I would feel like their customer service was much better. Can see by their responses to negative google reviews also that they are defensive and do not care about good customer service, so I expect the same response. Would not recommend to friends or family
I Recently had the majority of the downstairs flooring fitted with Amtico, and it looks fantastic, good experience all round, had to have a couple of issues sorted, but that was done promptly. Definitely would recommend this company and will use them again.
Very happy that we chose the Carpet Trade Centre for our Karndean LVT flooring. The level of knowledge and service from the store was excellent throughout. The fitting was also completed to a very high standard. Will certainly return for any future flooring needs. Highly recommended.

We have used The Carpet Trade Centre for all our carpets in our home and more recently for Amtico flooring on our ground floor. All the staff are very helpful, give prompt quotes and excellent advice. They are very competitive on price and always up after installation. Their installers are also very professional. Myself & my husband have been very happy with the service we’ve received right from enquiring about the Karndean flooring for our kitchen to having it fitted by George. We already had Karndean in our ensuite & kitchen, so knew we wanted the same again as it is warm underfoot in the winter. The guys at The Carpet Trade centre (Dean, Shane & Graham) are very knowledgeable and respond to questions in emails very quickly. George the fitter is a lovely jolly guy and it was really nice to have him as our fitter. Karndean is expensive but it’s very hard wearing, so we’ll have it for a very long time. Overall the whole experience has been very good 😊.
First used this family run business on 17th August to buy very small price of vynl flooring. The guy was just so helpful and cut it all to size for my daughter. We had to return the following Saturday as we got measurements wrong! But again staff we so helpful in cutting the flooring to size. Would highly recommend them. Fantastic to find a shop that actually helps you. Amazing

We wouldn't go anywhere else for flooring, from the fantastic staff in the shop who go the extra mile to help, to the fitters who are professional and highly skilled. My Mum and I have been using this company for many years. Wouldn’t go anywhere else. We have had wooden floor’s for a living room and in my kitchen, bedroom carpets, walk in shower flooring and soon will be my bedroom and stairs carpet. Nothing is to much trouble. Great bunch of people, always happy and polite. 🥰

Brilliant service from start to finish! I had my kitchen, hallway, cloakroom, stairs and landing all done with Karndean flooring. (I love it all but the stairs look fantastic!) Daniel was professional, friendly, tidy and did a great job. I also had new carpet in 3 bedrooms - Martin and Eddy were also great and very tidy. Thank you all

Completely love my Karndean floor! Love the pattern and border - the guys in the shop were so helpful sending photos of the options when we couldn’t get in to the shop - we did go in to see in the flesh as well! Daniel the fitter was excellent and fast! Real attention to detail. Very impressed! We are still mid build! Just showing the floor off!!
The trade centre helped me with a repair to my Karndean floor which they had fitted many years ago. The fitter Daniel was excellent arrived early for the appointment and only left after I was completely happy with his work. Excellent experience 👍
Second time we have used Carpet Trade Centre for our flooring needs, this time replacement kitchen flooring after water leak. After talking through all options we selected Amtico tiles after recommendation from David in the showroom. Work was carried out professionally and Daniel the fitter did a fantastic job of fitting the tiles. Would highly recommend and its great to support a local business
We have used Carpet Trade Centre twice and both times they have been fantastic. They managed to match the laminate previously installed in the hallway so we could carry it on in the lounge and it was installed perfectly. We used them a second time to carry out a patch repair on the stairs and you'd never be able to tell where the damage previously was. Great installation teams, very knowledgeable about the products, I would highly recommend.

So happy with the end result and the Amtico scorched timber looks amazing throughout the entire ground floor of our house. Found the Carpet Trade Centre by accident - excellent service, extremely helpful staff. I was lucky enough to be offered a cancellation and as the fitting team were due to fit a hall, 2 sets of stairs and landing, I was told it might be across two days (one after the other). When the fitting team (Martin and his team) came to lay the carpet in the hall, 2 lots of stairs and landing they did a fantastic job and worked very hard and completed it in one visit. Fantastic service from start to finish. Will use again.

Carpet Trade Centre is really the best place to go and place your order for any type of flooring you may want for your house. We were recommended by a friend to visit this showroom based on the superb flooring they did for him in his house. They have a wide range of flooring options. They can provide the best quotes to you which are impossible to get anywhere else. We tried 3 other big brands and a couple of local businesses in other towns as well but the quotes that we got from David (the owner) at Carpet Trade Centre are best. We would highly recommend anyone looking for flooring options to visit this place !!!
This is a great place to go if you're looking for a small piece of carpet or vinyl. They have a big selection of room size pieces and lots of helpful staff. The fitter that laid my bathroom vinyl last week did a brilliant job, cutting perfectly round all the fiddly pipes etc and sealing the edge so neatly. It looks fab! Many thanks.
Had my flooring installed today, and im very happy with the results! Service was great from carpet trade centre and also installer Chris did a good job, and also he was on time. Also i read the review about Chris being drunk, and i think i know why th3 reviewer thought that! After doing my subfloors, Chris opened a chemical, which was either glue or to clean or something, i realy dont know what it was other than he did something flooring related, and it smelt like alcoholic drinks, perhaps what the gentleman in that review was smelling was residue on Chris’s clothes... thought i clarify as well, but other than that i highly recommend and now i know who to contact for future flooring requirements
**Pre-Cursor ** The fitters (who are a separate business) were lovely and did an amazing job, I’d hire them in a heartbeat, but Carpet Trade Centre were TERRIBLE! Rude, and bordering on threatening. If I hadn’t pulled my flooring up in preparation I’d have gone elsewhere. The customer service of Carpet Trade Centre is non-existent. We organised a visit to review the flooring and asked for some samples to be brought (as the shop’s shut due to Covid). David organised a time to bring the samples, but was over an hour late and as we had to go out we then got a couple of rather rude impatient phone messages complaining that the samples were heavy (not our problem! make smaller samples!) and we’d caused him an inconvenience. He came round again with the samples, I wrongly assumed he might leave them with us so we could discuss as my partner was working. I was informed incredulously that no, we couldn’t keep them and he had to take them back to the shop immediately. I was made to feel like ‘well hurry up and make a decision’. Again, apologies for wanting to consider them with the agreement of my partner when we’re spending thousands of pounds. We booked a date and paid a deposit, we were then emailed in quite an abrupt tone 2 days prior and asked to pay upfront for the materials and that ‘it says it all over the quote’ (it doesn’t, we checked). Sorry, but a) what’s the point of the deposit and b) if you pay for services I don’t expect to pay until the job’s done to a satisfactory level. We asked a question on email and didn’t receive an answer (they repeatedly got our name wrong as well). I was then called on the day and told if I can’t pay this morning, he won’t send the fitter and told again it says it on the quote. This was now beyond rude. I went to ask a question and he talked over me saying ‘so are you going to transfer the money by BACS’. I said he was being rude, he didn’t seem that bothered or offer an apology. You just don’t speak to customers like this or to be frank, anyone. You offer a service, we pay a deposit, you do the work, we pay the balance OR you say at the beginning, cash up front. Had I not pulled the floor up in preparation, I would have gone elsewhere.
Was new to the area and didn’t know who to use took a punt on these guys and was very impressed. Very helpful in the shop and the guy who fitted was superb with great workmanship
I agree with all the reviews on this site as the service from this company has been excellent. We went to the shop to buy a bedroom, landing and stair carpet for a rented property that I was selling. There was no 'hard sell' from the owner who served us as he showed us a lovely remnant of carpet at reduced cost which was perfect. We arranged a date for some weeks later as we had some renovation work to do on the property and the fitters turned up on the time arranged. They were friendly, quick and efficient and the fitting was excellent throughout. Unfortunately, we were unable to offer a cup of coffee as the house was empty and we had travelled from Christchurch to let them in. My apologies again to them! I recommend anyone from the area to use this company for great service.
We are delighted with the Amtico flooring that The Carpet Trade Centre have just fitted in our kitchen & conservatory. We had no idea what flooring to chose - David was so helpful and has suggested the most perfect solution! The service we have received has been second to none - work swiftly completed to a very high standard. The fitters were very professional, and worked hard to keep disruption to a minimum.
Popped in with measurements hoping to order and have fitted quickly a new carpet and underlay for son's bedroom. This was at 9am this morning, by 9:15 carpet chosen, paid for a date of fitting all booked in. Excellent service.

I have used the carpet trade centre to carpet and karndean our family home and also for two rental properties. On all three occasions we have been delighted with the flooring. From visiting the store to the competition of fitting, i was impressed with the service received throughout. I would highly recommend this company and have done on many occasions. Some people appreciate good service, others maybe not so much - can't please them all.
Friendly staff willing to help you. Good choice of carpet and other flooring. Cheap prices for carpet and fitter. Much better service than the large chain supplier in the adjacent retail park.
If there is a better, more honest carpet company, I bet they are not in Hampshire. 12 out of 10. Nothing was too much trouble and work can't be faulted. GREAT 10*
Worst experience. Once you pay for the carpets, they give a damn to customer. They sent couple of guys to lay carpets (Chris Gray floors). They were drunk when they came to lay carpets. They were rude, aggressive, charged £75 extra then original agreed price and broke my furniture. They left nails under carpet. There were ripples all over. Worst thing is these rouge carpet layers got full support from Carpet trade center. Stay away from Carpet trade center and their sidekick Chris Gray floors unless you want stressful carpet changing experience. In any case they doesn't have great range of options to choose.
