It’s been great working with the team - incredibly friendly and helpful. And the result was fantastic! Love the new flooring - with great attention to detail.
We have recently had a new kitchen floor completed by Topnotch Flooring Interiors. From the outset the business was extremely helpful demonstrating a lot of care to fit into the plan of works. The fitter Ben was excellent throughout and we are very pleased with the work and his finished product.
Cheryl and Charlotte were fantastic throughout the entire process, from helping us choose the right flooring to organising the installation. Dan did an excellent job laying the flooring in our hallway, lounge, and bed. The finish looks great and we’re extremely happy with the result. Particular thanks to the team for their flexibility. Highly recommended.

I was recommended to Top Notch by a couple of friends and I wasn’t disappointed. The price I thought was very reasonable for the Karndean flooring I chose from their extensive range. I was very impressed too by how the floor looked once the Smoothing compound had been applied to my existing concrete floor and the following day when the LV Planks were finally laid down. A totally professional job that I was well pleased with. Many thanks to Cheryl and the Top Notch crew for the advice, friendly way I was treated and how efficiently the fitters did their work.
Top knotch installed Karndean flooring in our home in August 2025 and the floors look fantastic. Having had prior Karndean installed by a different installer in our previous home, we had some reservations about tricky corners and finishing. We were not sure what to expect from Topnotch, all we knew was that we wanted a 2nd go at Karndean floors. From start to finish Chreyl, Russell and Emily where accommodating even with the delays from our end. The installers where absolutely brilliant and professional, focusing on finding solutions (with no added cost) to ensure the work is done. That for me was super impressive. They kept everywhere tidy and removed all old flooring. They had attention to details as they installed. Super Brilliant. Thanks to Ben, Matt, Dean, Preston and all the Team for giving our home A Face Lift. Their precision around tricky corners blew me away. Fantastic job. Most especially, Ben's Can Do attitude is one every trade's man needs to have. Thank you Team once again we love the floors.
I had problem with vinyl flooring I purchased from Top Notch, Top Notch also installed the vinyl flooring. A company representative came out after I raised concerns. To this day I haven’t heard back from Top Notch, very disappointing. Update from below YOU sent a company representative to my home and checked out the vinyl flooring this is not spam . Maybe if you kept up to date with your paperwork and answered my emails I wouldn’t need to leave a review like this. Rather suggesting the review is spam, to get you off the hook reply to multiple emails I sent you in sheer desperation. I never even got an update from the company representative, poor after sales.
We had a great experience with the whole team and are super happy with our new carpets. The team were accommodating, answered all our questions and able to turn around the work quickly for us (and over a couple of days to make it easier for us). Great value, highly recommend! Thank you again!

We had a great experience with TopNotch from start to finish - helpful, friendly team in the shop, measuring up, and the fitter, good communication via email with quote, updates on timescale for our chosen Karndean flooring and easy to get installation dates booked in. Very happy with our new flooring and would definitely recommend!
Very well set up showroom, wide choice of floorings available. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly which really helped our decision process.
I needed a small area patched after I removed a fireplace. The cost and quality of the work was excellent. I'm so pleased with the result. Thank you Emily and Matt (installer). Floor fitter is brilliant, however the carpet which I was recommended as long pile was an awful choice, flat within 18 months, advised to get it cleaned professionally which I did, still rubbish and looks awful. (Used top notch in 2019)
Top Notch Flooring have been exceptional, from the initial consultation, communication throughout the process and the final fitting - everything met and exceeded our expectations. We are delighted with the finished job and can't recommend enough. Without question we will be returning customers.

We needed new flooring after building work - quite a big open plan area comprising family room/dining area opening out via bi-fold doors into the conservatory. We decided that we wanted the same Karndean flooring all the way through but there were a number of problems. The conservatory floor was lower than the main part of the house and was not level. The Top Notch team came up with a solution and got the job done. It looks great!

We were undecided about what type of flooring to get but a work colleague recommendation pointed us in the direction of Top Notch, where we eventually went with the Karndean brand - then we had to choose what type/colour/direction/border..etc..etc (those decisions took us ages as the choice is HUGE!!!) The actual process of dealing with the shop by phone or email was very easy and straightforward, and also likewise the fitters were friendly, courteous and professional - I can’t fault the whole experience and the floor looks amazing. I have also tried recommending Top Notch to others but apparently a number of our friends it now seems have already been their customers.
Top notch, have yet again done a splendid job, from start to finish. This family business, never lets you down, and go above and beyond to help . We had Ben fit our kardeen flooring in our lounge, because he done the flooring in our dining room and kitchen previously and done a smashing job.And again done a great job. Poor aftercare if you complain you get told it is slander and never to contact the shop or fitters ever again we had to contact karndean direct to recieve our promised warranty Sorry you cannot accept criticism you just prove. That you cannot accept criticism we paid promptly And you cannot comment on what anyone else has said And it is your responsibility if anything is wrong under trading standards consumer rights Customer complains and gets this sort of reply even though customer paid on time seems like they take your money then if you complain of poor service they then laugh in your face absolute terrible way for a company to behave

Fantastic company. Very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the whole process. We had to delay the fitting around as house exchange was delayed, but was not an issue and certainly helped reduce some of our stress! Will definitely use again and recommend.

What an amazing company Top Notch Flooring & Interiors are. We’ve had new carpets fitted in the house and tiles in the conservatory and from the moment we first went into the showroom we got 5 star treatment from every member of this friendly family run business. No sales pressure whatsoever, just pure advice and guidance on what was available and what choices we had. The same applied when it came to the fitting of the carpets and tiles. Nothing was too much trouble as they ensured everything was exactly what we wanted. We had fantastic service from Top Notch from the moment we stepped into the shop. We had so much help finding the right flooring for our home, they answered our (many) questions over email and were incredibly flexible and helpful when it came to arranging fitting. The flooring we’ve got has been brilliantly fitted and is very high quality. We were moving into a new build, so required a lot of flooring, and we were conscious to go with a local firm rather than a big carpet shop and I’m so glad we did. I can’t recommend Top Notch enough, their customer service is excellent and the whole process was painless (which, when moving house, was a very welcome change!). Thank you so much for all the help!

We’ve just had a stunning new Karndean floor laid in the hall, downstairs bathroom, Kitchen and conservatory and it looks great. From start to finish the process has been perfect. The team at Topnotch have been really helpful and accommodating throughout while I have had other building works carried out. I can highly recommend Topnotch flooring.
We had all 4 bedrooms re carpeted. Couldn't fault fitters very helpful and polite. Also Topnotch kept us well informed.

Topnotch did a great job with our not so easy fit. Some of my friends were a little disappointed that the end result was not the shiny 70s disco floor from the damp course membrane. The fit included the need to level the floor, fit a damp proof membrane, a further levelling layer before matching with a boarded floor in an adjacent room. All done flexibility around other works with no fuss and all completed to a high standard.
A great company. I walked in to the showroom to fabulous service. They were very informative and as we were moving into a new build. We had a delay on our move in date but they were very accommodating and could move our fitting. The whole way through they have been very reassuring. Dealt with the barriers that new builds come with. The job itself was perfect. The flooring looks amazing thank you so much

Delighted with our new Karndean floor in a new extension. Ben had to come over a couple of times before laying and worked with our builder on the join to the old part of the house (resolving a 20mm slope in the joining doorway). Accommodated us on a fairly fluid timetable. A lovely finish and absolutely delighted. Top Notch laid our original floor three years ago, we made the right decision in going back to them.

We had parquet-style flooring laid which requires meticulous attention to detail and the fitter was excellent, it was a very collaborative experience and we were delighted with the end result. Top Notch Flooring offer an excellent service. There is plenty of choice in the showroom and they are happy to bring samples to the home so that you can see them in situ. The fitter, Byron, works hard and produces a superb result. It is important, when you are inviting people into your home, to feel comfortable with all aspects of their presence. We could not have been happier with Byron's work ethic. His colleague, Callum joined him on the final day and he too was pleasant and hard working. I can thoroughly recommend Top Notch Flooring and their fitters.

Top Notch really are... top notch. After faffing around with the well known high street companies and getting poor customer service and extremely overpriced quotes I eventually found Top Notch. The whole process was very simple, the carpet fitter was courteous and friendly and overall we are very satisfied customers indeed.

The end result was excellent, very pleased with the flooring, just disappointing that the first surveyor's proposal for the treatment needed was completely wrong and caused unnecessary alterations to the schedule.

Very pleased with the replacement of our kitchen floor by Ben and Top Notch of Basingstoke. We had an old, uneven tiled floor to replace and their advice was to lay 1-2 screeds over the top and then the Karndean flooring. Really impressed and very happy with the end result. They allowed us to take home various samples and answered our many questions during the site visit. Work was completed professionally and on time. We were consulted each step of the way. 10/10

We have been absolutely blown away with the excellent service we have received from both your office in ordering and arranging installation of our new floors and Matt who was here on Thursday & Friday to install. He has truly gone above and beyond, overcoming issues with our existing sub floor, which he came back to double check on in his own time and just being so quiet, tidy and super lovely! We are so pleased!! Yes, Kardean can be a little more expensive than some other products/services but it is worth every penny!!!

We have recently undertaken a large extension at our home and have had Amtico fitted throughout the ground floor. We had used another company for our living room , but after a bad experience and dreadful customer service, we chose to go to Top Notch for the kitchen, hall and bedroom. The staff in the shop were incredibly knowledgeable and our fitters, Matt and Ben were first class. The flooring was fitted on schedule and having originally ordered too much, they gave us a refund for the boxes we didn't use without question. We would have no hesitation recommending these guys and are looking to go back for carpets in the very near future.

Charlotte and her team gave us great advice when choosing Karndean flooring for our new extension. They then quoted a fair price and arranged fitting allowing time for the screed to dry. The fitting service was great - couldn't fault a thing.

Love our Karndean Heritage Flooring. We had a long delay waiting for the flooring to arrive from Karndean due to Covid, but this wasn't Topnotch's fault.The Topnotch fitters were very good and the flooring looks amazing. We're really pleased with it.

From first entering the shop and being introduced to Karndean by Charlotte, through to the completion of laying the flooring in several rooms; it has been a professional and friendly service. Selecting the Art Deco range flooring was fairly easy and the team were so relaxed to give us many samples. A few weeks later the guys appeared to fit the flooring, they have done a superb job and it looks fantastic! It has transformed our rooms and the quality of Karndean is excellent. True what they say - You get what you pay for! Highly recommended and we are totally satisfied with the whole experience. Well done team - and thank you all!

Me and my partner first got in touch with Top Notch Flooring after our offer had been accepted on a house. We planned on decorating throughout so decided to get a quote for some LVT flooring for an open plan living/kitchen/dining room. At first the customer service seemed fantastic. We phoned up with the area and received a quote for the flooring and fitting of LVT in a large plank herringbone pattern; which we were very happy with. Once we got the keys to the house, we came into the showroom to select our flooring finish. Top Notch had now become a 'Karndean inspire showroom' and obviously had no desire to continue to sell LVT products from other manufacturers. During our short visit, we were told that the quote to supply the LVT had risen by over £1,000; and the fitting would be an additional £800 to lay in a herringbone pattern on top of the installation cost already quoted - even though this was clearly included on the first written estimate for the exact same floor area, style of flooring and laying pattern. Needless to say, after a confusing and frustrating few weeks trying to sort this quote, we ended up shopping around and finding another official Karndean supplier who would supply and install the genuine Karndean flooring with the full 35 year guarantee closer to Top Notches first estimate, saving us a total of £1,500! Top Notch did offer to price match, however it does beg the question that if they can afford to knock off £1,500 off the quote how much mark-up are they already charging! We ended up using Flooring Hut and found a local installer through their website, I would highly recommend this to anyone looking at LVT flooring.
Second time using this company and we received a good, friendly service. No issues were encountered and we are happy with the carpet that was purchased.

My whole family has used Top Notch for carpets and Karndean for about 6 years. Everytime we get 1st Class Service and I no longer shop around as you get what you pay for, which is a happy customer and a happy supplier.

Topnotch have supplied and fitted all our upstairs carpet and most recently completed a large Amtico installation for us. We had lots of questions about the product and the installation during the building of our extension, particularly relating to the install of our underfloor heating and the materials to be used for the sub floor. Cheryl and Emily were always extremely helpful when we visited the showroom and also by phone and email. The installation of the Amtico was completed over 2 days and the fitters were very polite and tidy which is always appreciated! We are very pleased with our finished floor, thank you to all the staff at Topnotch!

Initial Customer service was really good, good advice and whilst the dates changed on fitting, the fitters did a brilliant job, good attention to detail. However after a couple of months we received an email chasing payment, which we had made in advance and on replying to their email we asked about the complementary Kardean cleaning kit that was on our invoice that we never received, which was out of stock at the time of fitting.. No reply at all to our email re the payment and cleaning kit. Today I ordered off Amazon, to be delivered tomorrow at £38.00. Disappointing.

Service and Communication was brilliant. I would whole-heartedly recommend this company. The fitters were friendly and went the extra mile to help move very difficult furniture. They were efficient and left the home clean and tidy. The staff in the office were quick to respond to any questions and help in any way they could.
Efficient service from the Top Notch ladies for our new Karndean floor. Measured up at the appointed time, fitter arrived at the appointed time and efficiently laid the screed on day 1 and the tiles on day 2. A minor glitch was sorted out in five minutes with no problems a couple of days later. The floor looks great and fits well with all our design bits for the new kitchen. Thanks to all involved.

A few years ago, we needed some advice on fitting out our new extension with Karndean flooring. Top Notch could not have been more helpful and did an excellent job, fitting in with our builders' ever-changing schedule! We subsequently used them when we needed new carpets in our children's bedrooms after finding that they could compete with the bigger carpet shops on price as well as far exceeding them on customer service. We have now moved further away from Basingstoke and when we recently needed a new carpet, we first tried a few more local carpet shops - but we soon discovered that they couldn't match the range of choice and quality of service at Top Notch. Fortunately, Top Notch were still able to come out to us and our daughter now has the carpet she wanted in her bedroom. Can't recommend them highly enough!

All the team were extreemly helpful and offered great advice. All appointments were punctual and efficient. Product quality was good at a fair price and the fitters were good, courteous and polite. Diificult to find a fault and would certainly recommend them on to freinds and family.

Fantastic service on both Kardean and Carpet Installation. I am very pleased with the quality of the service provided by Top Notch and their installers. The Kardean installer was especially good as his attention to detail has resulted in an quality finish and a great looking floor. I will use Top Notch for any of my flooring needs in the future

Excellent range of products and great customer service. The carpets, vinyls and Karndean have really transformed our new home. Would defiantly recommend and use again.
From our initial visit to the shop, right through to the final carpet being laid, we have nothing but praise for Top Notch and all the staff including the fitters. They worked with us to find the right carpet and to organise three fitting dates so that we could empty, paint and carpet three bedrooms. Went in as bought a house (new build) left all my details after picking all the flooring I wanted in the shop and the young-ish lady on reception never got back to me with prices... When I called they requested a copy of what we discussed. Sent it in and still never heard back... Pretty frustrating but they lost out on a few grand for there own negligence. Don't recommend as was poor with communication and there are a few other effecient ones near by..

We've just had our kitchen fitted with Karndean flooring and the knowledge shown by the Cheryl & Jules at Top Notch was excellent followed by the fitting by Ben that was perfect. Got to give the team 10 out of 10 for customer service.

Inital customer service was very good however it unfortunately went downhill after we made our purchase. They do not keep to timescales and were nearly impossible to contact, never replying to messages and phone calls. We ordered a custom made rug to be bound however the quality and finish were very poor, they ran out of binding color to match our carpet and just used a completely different one without consulting us first. Mats were cut wonky and the end finish was very unprofessional, as was their customer service. It was a real shame because we like to use local businesses and recommend them. however this is one which I would not and will never use again!

I agree with mister mister. We have been waiting for a job to be finished for months. Phones are not answered and emails not returned. When I call to talk to the lady in the office i am always told she "is out" and "will call me back" . She never does. The job is paid for but still not completed. The fitters were nice guys though.
I have been using Top Notch for my B&B for years. They have always been extremely helpful with recommending the best flooring for the job, they never push the most expensive but always look at ways to save me money. I would highly recommend them.
