MKW Electrical Contractors LTD

Excellent service from quote request to works being complete. I had an EV charger fitted which wasn't straight forward due to the layout of my house. Matt knew straight away how to do the best job. The guys who did the fitting did a perfect job, super tidy and even made sure small details like the position of cables went in the best place aesthetically. This was my first time using MKW and i'm so pleased I've found them now for any future works.

MKM Electrical Services fitted a new replacement electric shower unit in my bathroom at short notice, whilst busy with other work. The Electric Technician Roger was most helpful, and completed the task with fantastico care & attention. Would defo recommend this company for any electrical needed at a very reasonable price. Thanks Dug. 🙄

Absolutely top notch work! Called and got an instant answer, quote through the same day and booked in. Carl arrived on time and worked all day, leaving quality work and the place was left imaculate! Thank you

These guys are prompt, efficient and do exceptional work. Highly recomend±

Excellent service. Matt keeps in touch from beginning to end and gets the job done with super efficiency. Highly recommend

We have worked with MKW Electrical Contractors across a number of our projects, and they have become a trusted and important part of our wider delivery team. MKW have been instrumental in helping us bring our padel facilities to life, but our relationship extends beyond this. They have also worked alongside CLS delivering sports pitch floodlighting as part of our PlayZone framework projects, demonstrating the same high standards across very different environments and project requirements. From the outset, Matt and the team have brought much more to our projects than simply delivering the electrical installation. Their ability to understand what we are trying to achieve, contribute imaginative ideas and develop practical solutions has added genuine value to the finished product. Their can-do attitude, professionalism and communication have been excellent throughout. Construction projects inevitably evolve and present challenges on site, and MKW have consistently been proactive and flexible, approaching issues with a focus on finding the right solution rather than simply identifying the problem. The quality of their workmanship is matched by the way they conduct themselves on site and communicate with our project teams, clients and other contractors. This is particularly important to us at CLS, especially when MKW are working as part of our delivery team on projects where they are ultimately representing the standards we expect from our business. We value contractors who take ownership of their work, collaborate effectively and share our ambition for the quality of the finished project. MKW have consistently demonstrated all three. We would have no hesitation in recommending Matt and the MKW team and look forward to continuing our relationship across future CLS projects.

Had an EV charger installed. The team could not get it to connect to the wireless. Was told they would be in touch. Chased 3 times and complete silence

Quick service. Came within the hour. Fixed no fuss. Team very pleasant to deal with.

I’ve used MKW twice and on both occasions they did a great job. Carl was punctual, tidy and courteous, and the booking process was friendly and efficient. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Great service would definitely recommend and use again. Great booking system with automated invoice

Excellent speedy service. Very satisfied with result.

Great service & communications from initial inspection and quotation through to installation and testing. Thoroughly professional in all aspects. A totally 100% first class operation. Thank you Matt and your team

Great service from Matt's team as usual. Jackson did an EICR for me; he was punctual, professional and very helpful. The report I got back explained everything in layman's terms. I would highly recommend MKW!

Great work as always, great Team 👍

MKW Electrical recently fitted a mix of outdoor lights at my Mums house. They were very professional, revisiting twice to adjust the angles, and replace one of the lights. My Mum mentioned a couple of times, what a lovely bunch of lads they were! I would highly recommend them, and will certainly use them again in the future. Thankyou!

Absolutely fantastic team, very professional and hardworking. Both engineers that have visited us over the last two jobs have been great. I will recommend you to everyone.

We used MKW Electrical Contractors Ltd on the recommendation of our daughter and we couldn't be happier with their service. From the first visit to quote for the work to it's completion they were polite, knowledgable and very efficient. We are really pleased with their work and would happily recommend them to anyone.

We've been using the services of MKW for a couple of years now for EICR checks, replacement showers units etc. So far, we’ve me 4 of the team - all of them enthusiastic, knowledgeable, punctual and always happy to take time to answer my questions. I would definitely recommend these guys if you’re after a professional friendly service.

Professional and reliable, you get what you pay for. Matt constantly kept me up to speed with the progress. Both Matt & Phil, worked on a two storey building extension and new build office, with plenty of alterations along the way, nothing was an issue. Thanks again

Work undertaken was excellent. Great feedback given to current state of electrical system was greatly appreciated. Will definitely be adding MKW to our portfolio of specialist contractors and would use again and recommend to family and friends.

Prompt response. Professional outfit. All very slick. Good service

We have used MKW since we moved in, and would thoroughly recommend. Phil has done several jobs for us, and we now request him as he is a pleasure and clearly knows what he is doing. He checks and explains everything to us, rings to let us know exactly when he will arrive and leaves everything clean and tidy. Thank you Phil and MKW.

Fabulous service. Friendly and very professional. Would highly recommend

Matt and the Team carried out work on my commercial property. All work was completed before opening hours, meaning there was no disruption to business. I have already scheduled in more work. Friendly, professional and effective

Had Matt come out and fit my EV charger after seeing him complete some work for a family member, no corners cut and the cables ran exactly as I wanted despite it not being the easiest way. Can’t recommend MKW enough, exceptional workmanship every time. Thanks again Matt.

We had some work done recently by MKW. The process with quoting and arranging the work was efficient and the price was agreeable. On the day the tradesman did a good job and it was all done on time. He explained everything thoroughly. Would certainly recommend MKW.

Very quick response and communication. Both Matt and Joanne were extremely helpful. Carl completed job professionally and to a high standard. Well informed along the whole process

Just used MKW for the third time and will definitely call them any time I'm in need of an electrician. They show up when they say they will, are very friendly & helpful and get the job done without any fuss or messing around. Can't ask for more than that. Highly recommend.

MKW have subcontracted to my company for hundreds of jobs. Each customer always provides exceptional feedback no matter which member of staff undertakes the work. We find Matt (the owner) and all of the team to be highly educated in all aspects of electrical work. The professional manner each team member displays, timekeeping and reliability has hugely enhanced my own business. These guys are second to none.

Matty and the team rewired my full house back in 2024 and did an exemplary job including all of the wiring for our CCTV system and underfloor heating set up. They have been back this week to install an EV charger and once again the job was done to the highest standard. They even cleaned up after the job… I didn’t know electricians carried a dust pan and brush haha thanks again lads 👍🏼

Recently moved to a 50 year old house and needing an electrician to do safety checks and provide an EICR for the whole house. There had been a previous electrical revamp for a refitted kitchen involving the installation of a second fuse board. The survey was very thorough and identified a number of issues to be resolved. These were discussed with me during the inspection visit and were explained in more detail in the follow up email containing the EICR Certificate. The findings have enabled me to decide a way forward to rationalise some of the wiring circuits and improve the overall electrical safety.

MKW Electrical Contractors Ltd has once again completed an Eicr electrical survey on 2 of our properties this week whilst also supplying and fitting a new shower. They were punctual, polite and professional from start to finish. I would certainly recommend them to homeowners and landlords. Thank you MKW

MKW Electrical were brilliant!! Needed a job doing super fast and within two hours they’d done it. I was dead lucky as even they said they aren’t usually this fast. They did a great job fitting a new induction hob and so neat and helpful. Would highly recommend

Although the job was actually more complex than originally quoted for (no pre- quote visit / inspection to base it on) which entailed a rescheduled work plan for MKW electrical engineers and a rise in quotation for me - the work was finished to a high standard.

Quick, thorough electrical work and great customer service. Will defo use again.

Would strongly recommend. They encountered some unforeseen problems and came up with a great solution. Even though it was more work for them than planned they honoured the original quote and didn’t charge any extra. Very Trustworthy

I wouldn’t use anyone else for my electrics jobs now. Friendly professional staff. Neat & tidy and willing to do anything even source things for you to complete the job👍

Very happy with the service, very efficient, friendly team. Would definitely recommend.

Matt and the team were fantastic in every aspect. They came to upgrade the house fusebox and wire up my garden room which I'll be using as a workshop and I couldn't be happier with the result. There was some unforeseeable delays meaning the job ran over what they expeceted but they went above and beyond to find the time around their other jobs to finish without delay. I honestly appricate them putting the extra time in working into the evening. You can really tell they were not rushing the job to get it wrapped up but putting in the effort to do the job well. The result is really tidy work both in what they did and how they left taking all the rubbish with them after a good sweep up. It's a shame the fusebox has a cover because I got a glimse of it being wired up and it is very satisfyingly neat. Anything else I'll be needing in the future I will certainly be calling again.

I booked in a EICR for a tenanted property. They arranged access directly with my tenant Professional service from start to finish . Competitively priced too. Would highly recommend .

A very prompt and efficient service. Carl was extremely competent, efficient and tidy in his work and fully consulted us on all aspects.

This is not the first time I’ve used MKW Electrical Contractors but I can honestly say they have yet again provided an absolutely brilliant service. The engineer who attended to carry out the work was prompt, efficient and very professional. I can not fault him or the company and would highly recommend Matt and his team for any electrical work required.

Good job by that canny lad Carl!

Brilliant work. I had a new electrical car port fitted to the front of the property. Jackson & Phil were quick, efficient and kept us up to date with progress. Joanne in the office was so lovely with the booking experience. I would recommend MKW to anybody looking for electrical work.

Matthew has gone above and beyond for me. I’ve used the company a few times now because they’re trustworthy, reliable, and always complete the job to a high standard. I highly recommend MKW Electricals

Great availability, great communication, great work, great price. Couldn’t be a better service

Very happy with the service - great communication, efficient, tidy and friendly. Thank you.

Because of the excellent job MKW did, when we had our kitchen fitted a few years ago, when we recently had an issue with overhead lights blowing a fuse consistently, they were the natural choice to fix the issue . From the first contact they were professional and helpful. As expected, the fault was found and fixed with the minimum of fuss by Matt. All our dealings have been positive with MKW and they will remain our ‘go to’ electricians for any future work. Their regular newsletter with helpful tips is a useful bonus. I’d have no hesitation in recommending MKW if you find yourself needing large or small electrical services.

This is the second occasion that we have use MKW Electricals. We found them prompt to respond to our original call; efficient; patient when explaining options; and tidy - a very reliable company who we will continue to use in the future

Following my call, Matthew from MKW responded quickly, gave really valuable advice and sent out a very competent electrician who resolved the problem very efficiently. I would highly recommend MKW Electrical Contractors LTD.

My experience of using MKW Electrical Contractors Ltd is one of total satisfaction. They are extremely professional in their approach to any job - large or small. They are totally accommodating and very clean workers. Their pricing policy is clear and competitive with no hidden costs. Extremely punctual and polite. I am more than happy to recommend them.

Responsive courteous and professional service. Thank you for the work done today and the excellent manner in which you discharged your duties. Tony Barras

We Recently used MKW for a full rewire of our property. From the first phone call to the final bill the ease in which everything took place was second to none. Matt was extremely friendly and understanding when I came to my lack of knowledge regarding pretty much everything and they left the place tidier than when they got there. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

"I recently hired MKW Electrical Contractors Ltd for electrical work, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the service. From start to finish, they were professional, courteous, and extremely helpful. They took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made sure I was comfortable with the process. Their friendly attitude and attention to detail really stood out. The work was completed efficiently and to a high standard. I would highly recommend MKW Electrical Contractors Ltd to anyone looking for reliable and trustworthy electrical services."

Amazing service start to finish. Very refreshing to receive such good service and communication. Definitely recommend.

Fast, efficient and reliable. Needed some work done in my new build home and they completed the job to an excellent standard 👍🏼 Would highly recommend their services, I will 100% be using them again where needed.

Excellent service and quality work. Reliable and competitive pricing, great team of lads, very respectful of your property. Highly recommended.

Excellent professional work. Only praise with no negatives. Would definitely use MKW again in the future and would recommend using them to others.

The staff did excellent job, very professional, polite, and cleared up any little mess , also wore shoe covers, which is being respectful of people's carpets

When my electric failed I was left in the cold and dark, thankfully Matt arrived in 15 minutes and within the emergency hour had restored my heat and most of my lights. He suggested a modern fuse box and I accepted. A few days later and Roger and Matt completed with work quickly they discovered and corrected the cause of my original problem. They were lovely lads and I would certainly use them again. My Heroes :-)

Very happy with the work done, great lads very neat and tidy nice to see tradesmen taking pride in their work above and beyond

Two wall lights fitted with, efficiency and expertise. Reasonable rates. Would use again

I honestly cannot recommend Matt and his team highly enough They completed a full rewire of our house this year, and recently came in to do some additional work Matt spent a lot of time with us upfront advising on the best approach, even down to where to locate sockets and switches You can tell when an individual and a team truly care about the work they do and want the best for their customers, and work with the diligence and skill as if it was their own homes. You get that with MKW Electrical Beyond Matt, the team are a great bunch of lads and a pleasure to have in the house. They work efficiently, tidily and were able to plan around me working from home and my overly enthusiastic golden retriever I wouldn't think twice about recommending them to a family member or friend, and wouldn't think about going to anyone else for electrical work in the future Thanks again !

North Eastern Composites have been looking for a professional, reliable, and competitive supplier within the electrical sector, and MKW Electrical Contractors Ltd have been exactly that. We’ve worked with the MKW team on several electrical installs for our GRP enclosures, and they consistently deliver excellent results. The team is professional, dependable, and easy to work with, completing everything to specification and on time. It’s a pleasure partnering with MKW, and we’re looking forward to many more projects to come!

So professional and friendly, I’m so pleased with all the work done. Thank you! Would totally recommend

Best sparky I know! Let’s go!

Matt and Phil have completed several projects for us and have always been prompt, professional and a pleasure to have working in our home. We highly recommend them to anyone seeking a resolution to any electrical problem.

A very positive experience with this company, very courteous and respectful of your home, I highly recommend this company 🙂

Very pleased with this electrician. Work required carry out as expected. I would recommend to any one and fees for the work carried out was very reasonable.

Excellent experience from initial phone call through every stage to the prompt work and problem solved. Very reasonable price and personable staff. Can definitely recommend MKW to anyone.

Could not fault the lads that turned up to do the work, on each occasion both lads explained everything that they were doing

New set of kitchen spotlights and garage lights put in by Jackson from MKW electrics. A well done professional job and a lovely polite man. We have used MKW electrics before , cracking firm. Would highly recommend them.

Great experience. Good communication with friendly and knowledgeable staff (Jo and Jackson) who delivered exactly what we were after, thank you. (Random unexpected bonus being the genuinely lovely fragrance left lingering after the job, not something I've added to an electrician's review before! 😂) Would use again and recommend to others 👍

I have been using MKW Electrical Contractors for years so when I inherited a house and it needed a full renovation prior to selling there was only one electrical contractors to choose for the job. Matt and his team are outstanding. After the initial survey for a new fuse box and full rewire of the property there was nothing else for me to do (not even go to the property myself) Matt took care of everything. Matt took possession of a set of keys from his brother Martin who had fitted a new Boiler, new pipework throughout and radiators in the property the previous week (Dynamic Heating (NE) LTD) and his team started the rewire. The property is a solid post war council house with the new wiring needing to be 'chased' into the walls this was all done in two days. Matt arranged for a plasterer to attend and plaster up all the walls for both the electrics and his brothers pipework for the heating system. The plasterer took over as soon as Matts team had finished, then the next day when the plaster was dry Matt's team returned to do the final fitting of all the new fixtures with Matt reattending and signing off all the work. In closing if you need electrical work doing you could not find a better company to do your work for you. It is clear that not only Matt but his entire team take great pride in their work and complete any work to the highest standard and when they leave you would not notice that they had been I cannot recommend MKW Electrical Contractors highly enough and I look forward to having further work done by them in the future. Thanks again Matt.

We recently had a consumer unit fitted and some new lights . The work was excellent and I would definitely recommend MKW

Matt installed a new switch board, wiring for an electric cooker & an EICR for me. All work was completed to a high standard & left neat & tidy. Matt has been a pleasure to deal with & I would definitely recommend MKW

I have used MKW several times and recommended them to friends and family who have also used them and had great experiences too. Communication from start to finish is outstanding! They are extremely reliable, arrive at the time they say and clean up after themselves too. Highly recommend!!!

MKW are our electrical contractors at Monitor Coatings, Matt and all his staff are; reliable, friendly, professional and their attention to detail is exceptional. There is no one else I’d use to carry out all of our electrical work.

Recently had Matt and his team complete a full rewire of our new but very old house - quality and professional job from the first quote through to the final stage of the job. Matt guided us through our choices with fittings and sockets and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. We even had some outside lights and power source fitted for the garden after his recommendations. The team left the house very tidy at the end of the weeks work when we returned from a few days away. Would highly recommend MKW to anyone looking for a trustworthy and professional electrician espically if you need a full rewire completing

We had MKW Electrical in to do some work for us last week. The job was excellent and the two lads, Roger and Phil were extremely personable, helpful, polite, tidy and thorough. What I liked in particular was that they identified some issues through their meticulous checking and put them right at no extra cost. Also some work that we thought needed doing turned out not to be the case, so the job and price was adjusted accordingly: full marks for honesty and integrity. I thought the work was of an excellent standard, communication was really good with us (not always the case with contractors is it?!) And the pricing was very fair. I will definitely use this company again and would highly recommend them.

I would highly recommend MKW and his team for any electrical work. We had a kitchen extension, Matty done a fantastic job in fitting a new fuse box and rewiring to comply with the latest regs . Phill fitted the 31 spotlights along with outside wall lights and led strip lights around our island and under the wall units. These were all linked to light wave switches. The lads were always on time and very respectful of our property. The areas worked in were always kept clean and tidy . Great set of lads with a great sense of humour .

MKW are a preferred contractor of RA Jackson providing support across our portfolio of managed properties. They provide excellent service and advice across residential and commercial properties.

Matt and his team have worked on our house in Tynemouth over the last five years , during extensive renovation and redecoration . It has been a pleasure to work with Matt , who is punctual , tidy and reliable . In addition , he worked with our kitchen designer and joinery manufacturer to ensure that the project remained on schedule and as per the plan . We are grateful for Matt's help and advice . We trust him implicitly .

My first dealing with this Company was when half of the lighting in my home stopped functioning. Two electricians (Phil & Jackson) were timeously sent to investigate. A loose live wire was the culprit and the problem was quickly remedied. Phil told me that the lighting electrics were illegal and a safety certificate would never be issued. This prompted a house survey by the Company owner Matthew. A quote for the work to update the electrics in accordance with safety standards was compiled and accepted. The complete job spanned 2 and a half days. Additional work to upgrade the cable from outside the property to the fuse box and also a new cable between the fuse box and the cooker was undertaken. The on-site electricians, Phil & Jackson worked particularly well as a team and their work was outstanding. It was a pleasure having them on my property. At every opportunity I will recommend this Company for any electrical work. Today I have accepted a further quote for the installation of new external spot lights and floodlights. In the future, and perhaps even next year, I may well require an electric charging point on my property. MKW Electrical Contractors will be requested to quote.

Have used MKW for a number of years now with my business, one of my most trusted contractors Work always to a very high standard, great communication and professionalism .wouldn’t use anybody else for my electrical works

Really can’t praise Matt and the MKW team enough. From the first time meeting. Absolutely stellar service from MKW. They arrived on time, diagnosed the issue quickly, and fixed everything with precision and care. Professional, friendly, and transparent about costs—no surprises. The work was top-notch, and they even cleaned up after! Highly recommend for anyone needing reliable electrical work.

Expert Installation with Smart Technology – Highly Recommended! MKW Electrical Contractors recently completed a superb installation of smart LED lighting in my garden, including recessed lights around timber sleepers, patio perimeter lighting, and contemporary wall-mounted fixtures. All lighting is integrated into a smart home system and controlled via a dedicated app, allowing for scheduling, dimming, and colour temperature adjustments — a brilliant touch for both aesthetics and functionality. Their consultancy-level service stood out: they took time to understand the layout and lighting goals, offered expert advice on fixture placement and smart tech integration, and executed the work with precision. The team was clean, tidy, and punctual throughout, and their customer support was excellent — responsive, knowledgeable, and proactive in ensuring everything worked perfectly post-installation. I’m thoroughly impressed with the quality of the work and the seamless smart control setup. MKW are true professionals, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them for any high-spec electrical project.

Excellent work, thank you! Best there is!

Brilliant! Fitted my flights perfectly! Would definitely recommend

Excellent work carried out without any fuss. Polite and friendly staff.

Fab company, Matt & his staff go out of their way to make sure all runs smoothly, very professional, tidy & friendly. Highly recommend.

Matt and his team are my 'go to guys' for all things electrical! Well deserved 5 stars for Customer service, aftercare, professionalism, tidiness, nice attitude and easy to work with.

Cannot speak highly enough of Matt and the team. Two separate jobs for us over the years: one a full house rewire and one an enormous extension. We have a very poorly son and were worried about the dust. I’m not kidding when I say the place was cleaner than when we left it for the rewire. Unheard of. Matt was also unbelievably generous for our extension, which we did for done for our son to enable downstairs living for him. Matt and the team went above and beyond in many ways, but the job itself is remarkable, including sensory lights for our son that we never even knew existed. He and the team are friendly, professional, immaculate, best-in-class work, reliable and above all trustworthy. Have made our life so much easier for us to enjoy the short time we have as a family.
