Needed rewire and new downlights in kitchen. Micky came to quote as arranged and price competitively and fairly for the job. Came back once we agreed quote at arranged date and time and did rewire and lights on one side and came back promptly to finish the other side once I'd fixed the ceiling back in place (needed removing to get to main junction box). Will be using again for other electrical jobs and would recommend McGrath Elec to anyone.
Micky McGrath came out to help us this morning one hour after ringing him. He and Dan not only sorted out the smoke alarm problem we rang about but also installed 3 other alarms and put up a new light fitting. Brilliant work, very helpful and good prices. I cannot recommend or thank Mikey and his apprentice enough. They turned up when they said they would, phoned me on the way over and were unexpectedly able to get through all the work done on their first visit, with helpful advice and questions along the way This was a huge help for me visiting from 45mins away. Not only did they complete all the work efficiently, they were really considerate and understanding of my elderly in laws situation. I had some wired cameras and a wired video doorbell installed and Micky and his colleague were fantastic. They did a great job, also hid all the wires with cord covers, fixed the broken socket that needed wiring and left everything very clean. Very friendly professional service, good communication and great price too. Overall highly recommend for any electrical work.

I can not speak highly enough of Micky. We had lost lighting downstairs and the fuse box hadn't tripped. Micky came round within an hour on a Friday evening and spent over an hour investigating. Unable to find the issue, he came back the next morning and once again began to try and work out the problem. It goes without saying that he solved the conundrum and also rewired the fuse box to prempt a further issue. He even offered to hoover up after! All this for an exceptionally reasonable price. An absolute legend and a lovely fellow. If you are looking for a trusty and professional electrician, look no further.

What outstanding service from a wonderful man. Micky answered my calls within seconds, he arrived on site exactly when he said he would, he diagnosed the underfloor heating problem and replaced a faulty thermostat the following day. All for an extremely fair price. I can't praise his work ethic, his attitude and his pricing highly enough. What a joy people like Micky still exist in the trade.

We found Mickey just by chance, and he has ended up doing lots of jobs for my mum. I needed MY bathroom light fixed which decided to pack up around 3 months ago. After realising I needed to buy a certain light fitting, the job was put back until I had the fitting. I waited until Mickey was available, and would’ve waited longer if necessary. I wouldn’t use anyone else now. Today I finally have light!! Hallelujah! I also had 2 new living room lights fitted which look amazing. Mickey is so patient and professional. Can't recommend Micky from McGrath Electrical enough. He's professional, communication was great, as was time keeping & costs. My job was testing to say the least, but Micky found the problem & fixed it. My bedroom wall is no longer "live" & is safe now. Reached out for help in an emergency and Mike was able to make time the same day to thoroughly investigate, diagnose and solve the problem, restoring power. Highly professional and even thought to call ahead to confirm he would be with us in about 30minutes as he was finishing his previous job. Considerate and extremely careful when moving items to access particularly challenging areas - even came prepared with a change of footwear when moving into the house / outside. Can't recommend him highly enough.

Fantastic service. Really appreciated being fitted in with quite late notice/close to Christmas. Quick response/good comms. Installed a new thermal electric radiator for me, which included fixing the wall mount and wiring it in/adding an electric point. Everything about the experience was positive. Mounted carefully using a spirit level. Brought the necessary part for the electric point. It is working perfectly, I'm delighted. Brought own vacuum to clean up afterwards. Mike has completed multiple jobs at our home, from wiring up my garage to upgrading the lighting in my loft. All work was carried out to a very high standard, at a very reasonable price. Micky carried out a full rewire on my two bed terraced house. His quote was very reasonable and he was prompt to start. Brilliant service. My consumer unit failed due to the RCD being faulty. This was 6.30 at night and they came round about an hour later on the way back from another job. They didn't have the exact RCD to replace the existing one but amazingly they managed to fit one from another unit they had. They didn't charge as they wanted to get the correct replacement but as its old it wasn't possible to find it. Brilliant service and very friendly. Recommended and would absolutely use again.

Other electricians I have called won't even bother to come out if you are not requesting a full re-wire, but nothing is too much trouble for Micky at McGrath Electrical. Excellent service. Friendly and highly recommended. Came out same day for a routine light fitting on their way home from another job. Job turned out to be more complicated than expected due to a fault in the electrics but this was rectified efficiently and in a friendly manner. They even went out of their way to make good an aesthetic issue that was no fault of theirs.

We contacted McGrath Electrical today after searching online for an emergency electrician. There had been a fire at the house next door and, although minimal damage to our house, the fire brigade advised having our electrics checked before allowing us to return home. It had been a very stressful day for us but McGrath Electrical were very calm and helpful. I cannot rate the service we got highly enough. The price was also extremely reasonable so we will definitely be using them again in the future.

I needed electrical work doing on a room that was getting plastered the next day and I called Mick on a long shot. I couldn't believe that he could come out the same day! He came out within a couple of hours and he did a very thorough and professional job. He went the extra mile for me by checking all the wiring in the house was safe and he charged me a very reasonable price. Absolutely outstanding work from Micky - We had a few things to get done but quite a lot of little problems surfaced throughout the day as we live in an old property with plenty of shoddy previous electrical work involved and Micky went above and beyond to make sure everything was resolved. The price was excellent and the work first rate. We will definitely be using Micky for all of our future electrical needs and I could not recommend highly enough.

Micky's fixed a couple of things for us, and each time it was nice and quick, and we ended up better-off than before. In fact, the first time he came round, he also fixed a fault we had with an alarm that I hadn't even realised could BE fixed, I just thought it was a quirk of the building! Anyway, over the years I've had the occasional electrician (or handyman or whatever) come round who I couldn't wait to get rid of - this isn't one of them, I'll use McGrath Electrical every time now.
