CurrentCo Electrical

EV Charger Installation - Stevenage, Hertfordshire. We were looking for an EV charger that was capable of working with a multitude of energy company smart tariffs so we had the flexibility to switch when we wanted to. Current Co were brilliant at helping with this and advising what additional electrical infrastructure upgrades were required, and ensured we were fully happy with everything before we placed our order. The communication and professionalism was excellent from start to finish. Workmanship was of a high standard and their attention to detail included making sure the house was clean and tidy afterwards. I’d highly recommend this company.

Great service and would definitely recommend from Charlie at CurrentCo. Had a fault in my electrics at my flat in Letchworth - to which Charlie came out and discovered the fault (my extractor fan unit and bathroom switch). He replaced the switch and isolated the unit so the rest of my electrics work, until he could come back with a replacement unit and get that fixed. Great and prompt service (on also the hottest days of the year, so must have been like a furnace working through that!) Have already recommended to others and would definitely use again :)

Charlie provided a very professional service, he is honest and talks you through everything he is doing in detail and always ensures you are happy with the plan he has made for works. I am in Letchworth and needed a full CCTV system installed, he run all cables under the floorboards and made the cameras and wiring aesthetically perfect. He also wired and installed a bathroom cabinet, excellent job. Highly recommend Charlie for any works - very tidy too 👍

We are based in Letchworth and had both our bathroom lights trip and lost power in the on-suite and our family bathroom. I called Charlie for a test and trace service while he was on holiday. He was delighted to take the call and kept me updated on his return and availability to fix the issue. Charlie is incredibly hard-working and thorough. He discovered the fault, which three other electrical engineers hadn’t managed. He then pinpointed the cause by systematically testing and eliminating all upstairs electrical work, including the landing and bedroom lights. He replaced the faulty dimmer switch for the spotlights with a fixed one and checked all electrical points to ensure they were functioning properly and weren’t causing any trips. Throughout his visit, he kept us informed about his progress and next steps, which was particularly helpful given it was late evening. We are very happy for the service we received from CurrentCo Electrical and would definitely recommend Charlie for any electrical work in the future. Thank you Charlie.

Charlie kindly helped us with the installation of three ceiling lights (Stotford). He has done every job just perfect and in time. We are very happy about his service and also much appreciate. Strongly recommend.

Charlie was brilliant, he replied very quickly on a Sunday when I had foolishly drilled through a light socket wire in my downstairs loo and gave his availability and cost to fix then and there. He was on time, professional, quick and cleaned everything up before his departure. 10/10 my go-to for any electrical work

Charlie came out to us in Biggleswade without hesitation on a weekend when we drilled through a wire to come inspect and repair the damage. He was friendly, professional and knowledgable and made us feel at ease. He was honest and upfront about his suspicions of the problem and estimated costings and because of his expertise, he finished the job in no time (which saved us money too!). He described the work he was doing, patched it up beautifully and advised us on how to avoid problems in the future. My electrics felt very safe in his hands! We won’t hesitate to call on Charlie again and recommend him to all as an honest, reasonably priced and fantastic electrician who takes pride in his work.

We contacted Charlie when we needed some wiring done to install a new oven at our home in Letchworth. Charlie was able to fit us in quickly to come and check exactly what needed doing and talked us through everything! He did a great job and took his time to make sure everything was as it needed to be and was lovely and friendly whilst there as well! We would highly recommend Charlie and will definitely contact him if ever we need any other work doing!

Couldn’t be happier with the electrical work Charlie has done for us. He has installed our EV charger, fixed and installed extractor fans, changed and adjusted light fixtures and resolved issues with existing internal and external plug sockets. Charlie takes immense pride in his work. Would 100% recommend and will definitely be using Charlie again in the future.

We have ceiling mounted light fittings in our hallway and kitchen, half of which were defective. Charlie replaced all the old light fittings with new so they all matched. We also asked Charlie to install a new external electrical double socket. Charlie is an extremely pleasant electrician and he carried out all the works neatly, efficiently and with minimal disruption. Thank you Charlie, you did a great job.

Excellent service - Charlie came promptly and delivered an amazing service. There was an electrical fault with a socket that needed fixing to and I was recommended CurrentCo Electrical. Charlie fixed this within minutes and made sure I was happy with the job. Thanks for your help!

Currentco electrical installed some new pendants in my dark staircase space, they look amazing and have improved the lighting & atmosphere massively. Charlie was wonderful throughout, very friendly, knowledgeable, and took a lot of care during the install to make sure that everything looked perfect. He treated my home as if it was his own and tidied everything up when he was finished, it’s rare to find such a good tradesman. I would definitely use him again and highly recommend him. Thank you again Currentco!

We live in Letchworth and needed to move a socket and phone/internet lines in our living room. Charlie popped round to have a look and, since it wasn’t a straightforward job, took the time to explore all possible options before committing to anything. He came back the next day and managed to get it all done so quickly and professionally. He’s also such a pleasant and polite guy, which made the whole experience even better. We’ll definitely be using his services again. Highly recommend!

We contacted Charlie as we are modernising our home, near Sandy, Bedfordshire, and needed quite a lot of electrical work doing. Charlie fitted a new fuse box, moved and added plug sockets, fitted a light pendant above the kitchen table, moved and fitted extra spot lights and fitted an EV charger. Charlie is one of the nicest people we have met, he was always on time, always chatty and polite, very respectful of our home by keeping everything as tidy and clean as possible, would always explain what he was going to do, to make sure we were happy with it, and done an absolute brilliant job with everything he done. We will 100% use Charlie again and recommend him to all our friends and family.

I recently had a garden office installation at my home near Potton (Beds) that needed connecting to mains electricity. Charlie installed a fuse box first, then connected plug sockets, indoor / outdoor lighting and an ethernet access point. Charlie took his time to understand the set up of the unit and spoke to the manufacturers before giving me an accurate quote. Charlie is a lovely guy, taking time to talk through everything so i understood how everything was connected including sending me pics of the hidden work for future reference. I would recommend Charlie and CurrentCo Electrical without hesitation. 5 stars.

Charlie helped us replace two ceiling lights with pendant lights. He did an excellent job, communicating clearly with us throughout and ensuring that the pendant lights were installed properly and exactly as we expected. He responded promptly and arrived at the agreed time, giving us courteous notice beforehand. His quote was also very reasonable. He patiently cleaned all the work areas after completing the installation. We could not have asked for a better service. We would be very happy to ask Charlie for help with any electrical work in the future and would highly recommend him to anyone in the Hitchin area.

Asked around a local facebook page for some electricians to come and replace 2 light sockets that was broken. I got 3 quotes and Charlie was the cheapest.. me being tight went for the cheapest however this didnt mean he wasnt professional and immaculate in the work he done! He fitted me im the next day got the job done within the hour and was very polite and kind the whole time! Would definitely recommend 👍🏻

Charlie was recommended for both Indoor and outdoor electrical work - fitting new sockets and identifying and solving an issue with our outdoor lights, in Luton. Charlie is the utmost professional, explaining exactly what he was doing (including photos of the issue), super friendly, hardworking and timely. We would highly recommend.

My I had a fault in my ring main that was tripping my circuit breaker so had no sockets when I tried to reset the breaker it just clicked off. I phoned several electricians with no one willing to work at the weekend. Charlie was very polite on the phone straight away offed to come round on Saturday morning he arrived when agreed introduced himself offered to take off his shoes I directed him to the fuse board he laid out dust sheet then organised his tools from his van onto to the cloth and got stuck in i haven’t a clue what he did but within half an hour he had cured the problem and got us back up and running. I asked if he could look at at couple of other little issues we had in the garage that he dealt with in the same efficient manner. The bill was broken down and didn’t appear to reflect the short notice and weekend working and was less than I had anticipated the prompt response ment the food in the fridge and freezer was safe. I will certainly use him again he polite efficient and deserves to do well.

I appreciated Charlie’s professionalism and good communication re timing and cost. He did a good job for us on a small lighting matter but I would get back in touch for other bigger jobs.

Charlie of Currentco Electrical quoted one day and carried out the supply and installing of new Electrical sockets at my house in Letchworth. Floor boards and carpet were liftted work carried out to a high standard and skill everything put back and cleaned. The price quoted and invoiced was very good indeed.

Would highly recommend CurrentCo electrical. We had water leaking through kitchen light fittings and needed electrician to make safe. Everything was so neat and I honestly couldn’t be happier! Charlie I’d give you more than 5 stars if I could, thanks so much! Couldn’t recommend you anymore if I tired 😌

I can’t recommend this company highly enough. The majority of the house needed requiring. The quality of the work was exceptional. Where there were options they were discussed with a recommendation. He made good all the works to the highest level. The work was all done on time and on a very reasonable budget considering the quality. Sadly I have moved out of the area otherwise I would have loved him to do my recent works.

Could not recommend Charlie high enough! He was professional, friendly, reliable and did a fantastic job. An absolute pleasure to have him working in our home.

Charlie was on time, friendly and professional for my bathroom ceiling LED light fitting appointment. He clearly explained the repair that needed to be completed and carried out the work efficiently. I would happily recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable electrician.

We wanted some additional plug points installed, light fittings changed for contemporary, brighter lights, new light switch and an external flood light with app control. Quality of service was consistent from initial enquiry, scheduling of work, invoicing and quality of installation. Would 5 star recommend & have done so already to neighbour, who has already had work completed.

Fantastic out of hours service. Arrived on time at 4pm on a Sunday to undertake some fault finding and rectification works. All done within an hour. Excellent customer service, communication and workmanship.

This is that time when you need a tradesperson. Someone recommends, you use that person and you are so happy with all aspects of the work that their number goes in your phone and will be the only number you need ever! Charlie, aside from being an excellent electrician, makes sure you completely understand the job and gives clear advice on any problems faced. Was very happy with quote and quality of work done. Just to mention that Charlie has an incredibly positive attitude and you will feel that your job requirements are his most important however big or small

I live in Arlesey and our shower cord and clicker stopped working about a week ago. I reached out for assistance on our local neighbourhood app. I chose Charlie's company due to the excellent reviews. He answered promptly and gave a me a very reasonable quote. He arrived next day as agreed. Charlie was very pleasant and cheerful man. He carried on with the job and had successful fixed the shower clicker and cord. It needed a total replacement. Charlie did not charge me for any extra for the cover for the shower cord as I had bought one that was not suitable. He left the area clean and as it was. I would definitely recommend Charlie to anyone looking for an electrician.

Very professional job done by Charlie in our kitchen, it's been transformed by the under-cabinet lighting! I can't speak highly enough of the standard of work and the manner in which it was completed. I will certainly be contacting him again for any other electrical work we need.

Charlie is hands down the loveliest bloke you could wish to have do your electrics. We came across him recommended by a good friend, & he has taken on large & small jobs alike with a cheery smile & great work attitude. When we first met him, he was working evenings & weekends, but now has set out as a sole trader. We highly recommend both his work & his attitude, & hope that he will soon expand his client base & do very well. Good luck Charlie 😊

We had our fuse box replaced last year by Charlie, great job very professional. Thanks for coming out at short notice to deal with our power out as well, glad it was an easy quick fix.

Charlie is fantastic, he has already completed two jobs adding sockets and chasing in the wires and is back for another job next week to add spotlights, move a socket, fan switch and add a double light switch. He is a great communicator, clean and tidy and fairly priced and a very nice person.

A** service from Charlie. Good communication, great with our clients and left site very tidy. Job completed as requested.

Charlie recently upgraded our kitchen lighting by replacing the spotlights and installing LED strip lighting under the units, which has completely transformed what was once a dark space. He also added dimmers to the spotlights above the dining table, giving us much better control. From the initial quotation through to completion, Charlie provided a professional and reliable service. We’re absolutely delighted with the results and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to others.

I’m really pleased with the work Charlie done replacing my kitchen ceiling lights with spotlights. I was away for a few days, but everything was completed neatly and professionally in my absence, and the kitchen looks so much brighter and more modern now. He kept everything tidy and clearly knows what he’s doing. It’s great to have someone reliable and trustworthy, especially when you’re not at home. I’d happily recommend him to anyone needing an electrician.
