Had them come out for a faulty dimmer switch and some other lighting issues in a house I rent. They gave very clear explanations for the problems, suggested solutions and got the job done quickly and cleanly. Very professional attitude.

I cannot thank Dave and his team enough for all their hard work and dedication to what was a complicated, ever-changing project. Nothing was a problem for them and even the most difficult and challenging tasks were resolved by Dave and his team. They would turn up two, sometimes three times a day, to resolve unexpected issues for us. We were completely let down by this contractor. We arranged a call-out to a restaurant in Bath and were assured they would attend on Saturday morning. Permits were raised in advance, and several people rearranged or cancelled their Christmas shopping to be available. They didn’t turn up. No call, no message, and they ignored texts and phone calls throughout the day. Even a courtesy explanation later on would have gone a long way, but there was nothing. Very disappointing service and a waste of time. We won’t be using them again.

Dave is clearly very knowledgeable about fire safety and up to date with the regulations; also experienced. In our case, he was able to come the day I first contacted him, and also do the work on the spot! A very pleasant informative helpful visit by a personable communicative expert.

We recently contacted Bath Electrical Solutions for help in completing an electrical survey for a flat that we're in contract to purchase. As first-time buyers, we weren't sure of the process or quite what to expect. We were *extremely* happy with the quality of the work that Dave did for us. Early this morning I rang two companies about an electrical energency. Dave responded within 20 minutes and immediately talked me through a solution. I am extremely grateful as we have overseas guests here for a wedding today, and a continued lack of power, shower etc, could have ruined it.

Dave came out to us late at night when we returned from holiday to a house without power. He was over in 20 minutes and got our supply back online. He returned later and completely fixed what was a real puzzle of a problem and rewired a faulty socket. Can't rate him highly enough. I wouldn't use anyone else for my electrics. Just superb and nothing is too much trouble.

Our family are truly grateful to Dave and his team for their wonderful work in completely re-wiring my Grandmother's house. We were on a very tight timescale with the renovation project and Dave's flexibility in doing things as soon as they were ready really helped drive the project and keep it on track time wise. We had never renovated before and he was kind to explain the order of other trades and what needed to happen before and after the 1st fix and 2nd fix. Dave also recommended a kitchen fitter and plasterer who were similarly superb and they worked well as a team. Dave was on site very regularly to see progress and added team members as and when needed to provide an extremely professional service. All paperwork and documentation was sent through promptly. Dave and his team have been fantastic. We recently had a major flood and they came straight out afterwards to check all the electrics were safe. They have also done other work and have done a great job, I would highly recommend them.

How often does an electrical snag appear at the most awkward of times? If that’s chaos for we consumers, it also means that electricians are like Hospital A&E Departments: constantly facing folk who are having a drama! Well you can be assured of every possible help from Bath Electrical Solutions. Our drama proved fixable on the very same day, just before Easter. The other highly reputable company we had initially asked couldn’t do anything for over two weeks. Two weeks! Aaaagghhhh! Bath Electrical Solutions just work even longer hours when they know it matters. And very nice people too!

I approached Bath Electrical Solutions regarding new sockets and lighting as part of a domestic refurb. From first contact, Dave was professional and responsive in providing a competitive quote and scheduling the works. I was also kept updated during the build-up, with Dave letting me know who would be on site and when. Jake and Josh did a great job on the planned works, arriving on time and both were very knowledgeable and friendly throughout. Drilling and chases were all done neatly and everything was tidied up at the end. I was particularly impressed by their attention to detail, confirming placements with me before proceeding and suggesting slight adjustments to my plans that better catered to the layout of joists etc. Plus, the spots they fitted as standard are great too! BES / Martin fitted a new consumer box and rewired the oven and hob. Bath Electrical Solutions provide excellent services which are delivered promptly and in a highly professional manner. I have used them repeatedly for jobs on an old Georgian house with less than perfect previous electrical wiring. They have always been responsive and done a great job every time.

We’ve been using Dave for a number of years now for larger jobs and small. We’ve always found him very reliable, so much so that my elderly parents have also used him and even recommended him to friends new to the area. He’s done two bigger bits of work for us in the last year- one in the garden to install power and, this week, the fitting of an electric car charging point. Both installations have been done carefully and intelligently- where the car charger has gone could have been a highly visible mess, but BES took the extra time to do a proper job of hiding the cabling and trunking and planning a good job, rather than a quick job. The invoice is also smaller than the quote, which is a pleasant surprise! I’m really pleased with this installation- it’s miles better than I thought it was going to be. No hesitation in recommending.

Completely replaced all lighting in kitchen and bathroom at short notice; great job, delivered on what was promised & left no mess. Other jobs theyve carried out for us include installing an outside light, re-routing and wiring gas box earth & new electrical consumer unit. Being aware of a decent electrician in the local area can be worth it’s weight in gold, and with Bath Electrical Solutions I feel that I have certainly struck that! I’ve used them a number of times now, for various jobs that were required, and every single time it has been an absolute pleasure to have them come and do work for me. They are friendly, polite, helpful, and above all, the work that they do is simply excellent! I first got to know of Bath Electrical Solutions when I had my Nest Thermostat installed by them and was impressed by Dave’s friendliness and “can-do” attitude. I therefore kept their number, just in case! This came in handy when I then needed to have an electric oven fitted, which they did for a very reasonable rate and also offered to take my old, broken, grease-box of an oven away, without any prompting! More recently, I had an unfortunate “kettle not turning off” scenario, and the “Stars In Their Eyes” level of steam that resulted caused a kitchen plug socket to short with a puff of smoke and an alarming CRACK! I called Bath Electrical Solutions, in a panic. Dave was quick to reassure me and was at my house within 15 minutes (thankfully he was nearby at the time) leaving me with very little power down time (invaluable when working from home). One of the most recent jobs they did for me was a replacement of our fuse box (I think it’s officially called a consumer unit) and it was done flawlessly! Working in IT, I appreciate good cable management, and I was hugely appreciative of what a tidy and professional job Josh did. I’m hugely thankful for all the team at Bath Electrical Solutions for the work they have done for me and I shall be using them for many years to come!

Dave and his team done some work in a new extension as the builders sub contractor. I have been chasing for the certification on this work as I cant get the work signed off by the council. Very difficult to get hold of and doesn't reply to calls or emails. Very poor customer care.
