I was recommended to this company by another plumber. The initial plumber wasn't that great and didn't fix my problem and still charged me for the call out and a few jigs to show he was working. But this company who said the guys out, deserves a pay rise or what ever benefits the company will offer them. They have been nothing but superb, they came out this morning tried to fix it, realized that another plumber will be needed to cut out the NRV and recommended MPW who they work with on several jobs. I went with their suggestion and they also said that they will come out and work with them to fix the problem. I thought it would be another several days, but Billie and Claire in the office were really polite and helpful and even said that they may have availability to come out the same afternoon!! And they said they will liase with MPW to come out at same time, which they did! Although it was two different guys from the morning, but they all seem to have their brains connected together as they knew what to do also. They have fixed the blockage and also the plumbers ahs fixed the problem, even on a very old building with copper piping! WOW thank you so much!! Deserve a 5* review for the professionalism, experience, thorough job.

AVOID - UNPROFESSIONAL Awful service and unprofessional staff. Very disappointed with the poor service, lack of communication and rudeness of receptionist (or calling agent, whatever she is). It took more than a month and multiple missed appointments from the operators to get no answer/solution on my problem whatsoever. The operators do not look competent and do not seem to care the slightest about their work.

Unreliable and Unprofessional – A Frustrating Experience My experience with Maintain-a-Drain was disappointing and frustrating. From the start, communication was poor, and arranging a survey was a struggle, requiring constant chasing for a response. After finally securing a date—for three weeks later—they failed to show up at the agreed time without any notice or explanation. The property was vacant and awaiting renovation, and with a busy schedule, I lost valuable time traveling to the site and waiting for a service that never happened. This needless delay pushed my project back by three weeks. If you value reliability and professionalism, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. UPDATE: It’s disappointing to see maintain-a-drain attempt to discredit our review by claiming they don’t know who we are, rather than addressing the issue we raised. We stand by our experience and feedback. Whether or not they choose to acknowledge us, we were genuine customers who had a real interaction with their business. Instead of dismissing our concerns, a professional approach would be to listen and improve.

Great company and fantastic service, our main drain blocked with sewage backing up into the property, about as much fun as it sounds. After being recommended I called Maintain a drain who came first thing the next morning and quickly identified the problem, fixed it and left the property clean and tidy. Could not recommend them more.

They were incredible. We had been quoted £1200 by a competitor to clear a blocked drain which seemed a lot. We were recommended maintain a drain by a friene and we're so glad we found them as they charged us under £300 in the end and did it 2 days earlier than the other quote and out of hours. Stop looking, use this place for your drain-related woes. I highly recommend these folks. I have had them over multiple times to deal with the awful drainage in my home. With lost drain rods, broken pipes and items trapped in the sewage line, I am yet to find an issue they haven't resolved while making it look trivial and easy. I am also a fan of the way they operate, with the summary of work after each visit being very detailed, outlining their recommended next steps for repairs with photographs and explainations. Very clear and fair pricing model. Every time they have visited, the area they worked from has been cleaner when they left than when they arrived, which is a nice, unexpected touch. I sound like a shill, but in a country filled to the brim with cowboy trades people, it's a breath of fresh air to have such a positive experience with a professional, specialist drain company.

5 star treatment from a 5 star company. From the first telephone call to completion of the work this company was highly professional and efficient while still keeping a friendly approach to keep you at your ease. I anticipated the bill would have been more than it was so in this day and age that was a nice surprise. I would not hesitate to use this company again or recommend them to anyone. Stop doing research. You've found the company that you should use. Today I found that the main drain from our house to the street was blocked. I had a bit of a go, but it was beyond me (not properly understanding what the different outlets were for). I called Maintain-a-Drain, who I last used years ago. Literally everything was brilliant. My first call was answered within a couple of rings by someone who knew what they were doing, got things sorted quickly/ efficiently, and had a team to me within a remarkably short time. When I had cause to call back later (because the team were with me so fast that I hadn’t made it home!) everything was again dealt with immediately and well. The team who came were personable chaps who were happy to answer my questions, and they too got the job done quickly and efficiently. All of this was for what seems to me to be a very good price. It is rare for me to positively want to review a company; I get fed up of being pestered by companies to review them. Maintain-a-drain did not ask to be reviewed, but I was so impressed that I wanted to stick something online, so here it is.

A refreshing experience to deal with a company that deliver a quality service at a very reasonable price. Much cheaper than other drainage clearance firms and the staff both on the phone and the two men that came on site are very helpful and friendly. I won't hesitate to call again and would highly recommend.

My neighbours and I contacted our block’s management company around midnight after sewerage started backing up our toilets and bathtubs. A guy from Maintain-a-Drain came round in less than an hour (despite the time of night) and worked tirelessly and skilfully to fix the issue which seemed anything but straightforward, using some impressive equipment. Very friendly too - top bloke. Will 100% be recommending this firm and using them myself when I own my own place in the future. Thank you very much.

Maintain A Drain responded to an urgent call-out inside two hours. Two very friendly guys (stupidly I didn't think to get their names) fixed the drain issue quickly and even cleaned the floor afterwards. The woman I spoke to on the phone beforehand was also very friendly and helpful. Great company, great people, great service. Five stars.

5 stars for M.A.D. We had drain problems for a while, first seen when replacing the kitchen several years ago. After managing to unblock one time by ourselves, we tried another service which cost loads while they tried to see what was going on. A friend recommended M.A.D. the next time - used them, they responded quickly and very reasonable cost. When the problem recurred around 18 months later they sorted us out again and found the problematic gulley via camera investigation. For various reasons we didn't want to commit to having the more major work done at that stage, so had blockages again but much later that M.A.D. sorted quickly. Finally had the major work done (wish we did it sooner!) which meant drilling down through a small area of our extension room floor, taking the old gulley out, replacing with new materials, updating other area by the kitchen with better fittings and mending a fine crack further in the drain that could have caused problems later on. 2 days work made much more tolerable by having experienced, professional, friendly team Paul and Nigel on the case with nothing phasing them - explanations of every stage of the work and recorded it all with photos. No extra dust (they had a vacuum sucking it up) but covered everything in room and floor just in case, all tidied before they left. Filled the hole again, as new and ready to replace only two floor tiles. And now we can sleep better knowing that we'll never have this drain headache again. As much as I like and would definitely recommend M.A.D., we don't want to have to call them out again - issue solved. Thanks to them for putting our minds at ease.

On a bank holiday Monday, arrived and had my blocked drain in the back garden flushed and cleared all within 1 hour of calling them. Ace to be honest.

Fast and efficient work with friendly staff. My neighbour actually said she had used them too and was just as impressed as I was.

Excellent response time within 45 minutes of calling them. Had flooding and overflowing foul archway drain, which they cleared in under an hour. The operative was well presented, professional, and extremely polite. He washed and disinfected the archway and left it cleaner than it had ever been! Highly recommended MAD drains.

I contacted Maintain a Drain in Bristol after trying unsuccesfully for a week to unblock 2 external drains that were VERY blocked up. They had a team who were working nearby, and were able to attend our property about 40 mins after I initially called in - the issue was resolved in under 10 mins, both drains now working perfectly. Very impressed, would use again without hesitation if any other drain/drainage issues.

Fixed blockage but charged £96 for a 6 minute call out, which I felt was overpriced. This wasnt out of hours and wasnt an emergency call out. Others should be aware of this minimum call out charge

Lee came to the rescue when I needed a job doing quickly and despite surprise challenges arising he was true to his word on the price of the job. He was meticulous on detail, giving great care and attention. His team also left the area spotless at the end. I couldn’t rate them any more.

After waiting nearly six weeks for brunelcare to authorise repairs to be done we had two gentleman arrive and explained what needed to be done. They carried out the work to a high standard keeping us informed of what they were doing. After the work was completed they made sure everything was put back how they found it and tidy. Company vehicle driven dangerously with no respect for local residents.

Recently had a defect drain repaired by maintain a drain and could not be happier with the service we recieved. Lee and Kelly kept in contact with me and were incredibly helpful with any questions i had. All visits were prompt and the guys who attended were polite, friendly and very efficient. The work uncovered a second manhole which was the responsibility of wessex water. Lee contacted them on my behalf and once this additional work had been carried out, another team was sent back the next day to finish up. I cannot recommend this company any higher. The cost of the work was very reasonable so if you are unlucky enough to experience a drainage problem then do not hesitate to contact them as you will not be dissapointed.

Called up as another well known company couldn't provide anyone to come out for 4 days, wish I had called Maintain A Drain from the start, Lady on the phone said she would get someone out within an hour the guys arrived in that time, full ppe, very professional did a great job, would highly recommend this company and they will be the company I use in the future. On the evening the day before the MAD team visited my property I sent an email expressing the problem I’m currently facing with my drainage. In short, I had a blocked internal gully which needed to be jetted. On the morning of their visit I phoned to see if they had received my email, I spoke to a gent called Lee who confirmed that they had, we spoke briefly about when his team can visit, he shared with me that his team is in Clifton and that his team will be with me in a few hours. Approx 2 hours after my call with Lee I took a phone call from a lady called Kelly. Kelly shared with me the location of the team and that they will be with me in 30 minutes. When the team arrived we spoke about the issue, and how I wanted to keep my kitchen clean. The gent I spoke to spoke with me about how they can try there best to keep the area clean I then left them to carry out the work. I would say it was less than 1hr when the gent called me to say they were finished. He shared with me what the problem was and then cleaned up the little mess that was made, after I was happy with the service he walked me through the price of the job. He then put me on the phone with Kelly who took payment over the phone. I was very surprised to learn how budget friendly the price of the job was, I think it was little over £100 (I thought it would cost me over £200, so very happy) Overall: The service from start to finish was perfect. Happy with the service, the price, happy with everything. If you need any drain services I would highly recommend. I’m happy I’ve used MAD , should I ever need anything done again they will be my first go to team Big thank you for the two guys that visited ✅

She always answers the phone, lets you know what's happening. Lee came out and talked us through what would happen. We had a detailed quote and breakdown of costs. We uncovered a broken pipe in our garden so they came over to use their camera to give us a full report on the damage. They didn’t quite manage to fully unblock our drain at the first attempt but, when contacted, came back no problem the next day and fully unblocked it at the second attempt. Also offered to come round again if any further issues. Good service and would use again.

Had various problems with our drains. This company has always attended promptly and (which I like) came up with a creative approach to removing an underground problem without the need for expensive excavations. It used existing equipment in a new way My experience is of being given a range of options, with clear pros and cons of each, always with proper evidence such as camera images to explain things. I place high importance on being confident in trusting people and trust this company absolutely.

#1 for drain services in Bristol, based on our experience. Problem dealt with swiftly and with care and courtesy. From the first phone call Maintain-a-Drain was better than the two other firms I contacted. The office manager gave prices up front and told me the timings. She followed through on the promise to call me on half an hour's notice, which she duly did (another firm did not and just appeared at the address!). The owner himself did the work, since they were busy he was out there on the vans to meet demand. He dealt with a potentially tricky blockage to our complete satisfaction, reassured us as to the general condition of the drain and gave us additional useful information. Payment and pricing all good no fuss. All very prompt and efficient, above and beyond. Very happy to recommend. PS. Since writing this review I also found out my boss at work used them as well and is also v happy with their work

Have been using MAD drain services for a number of years and can’t speak highly enough of them. They have always exceeded my expectations with their response time, professionalism from all the team, nothing is a problem attitude and most importantly I think Great value for money compared to some other company’s in this field. Cannot recommed them highly enough should you have the misfortune of needing their professional help.

Always a pleasure. We needed to excavate after a cctv trace showed up a broken u-bend. M-A-D completed all necessary works to a standard higher than I was expecting.

Absolutely brilliant. Have used them twice now. Once for a seriously blocked drain, sorted no issue. Second time for my own stupidity. Got a plunger off a drain rod stuck right down the drain. No chance of getting it myself. Problem sorted hassle free and for a very reasonable price. Seriously don't call anyone else until MAD have had a look! Both times round with 30 minutes!
