We were in need of a complete bathroom and toilet renovation which included the removal of a partition wall and a new soil stack. We spent time sending ideas back and forth and the team were really patient until we had a finalised plan that we were happy with. SCD were confident they could complete the job without needing to call in other companies (except for plastering), which they did. Mike was predominantly our installer and he was brilliant. He arrived on-time, was polite, tidy, hard working and most importantly, he made sure we were consulted about everything every step of the way. He offered honest advice where necessary, constantly checked we were clear about what was happening next and asked if we had questions throughout. Mike paid great attention to detail and clearly has pride in his work. We are delighted with the finished product and we would not hesitate to recommend SCD to friends and family.

Bathroom refurbishment We were incredibly impressed with SCD Plumbing right from the start. From the initial site visit by Stuart, where he listened to our requirements, made appropriate recommendations (respecting our budget), through to the exemplary work of our main fitter Mike - who had an astounding 'can do' attitude - we could not have been more pleased. The communication was superb. Any concerns were dealt with efficiently. We would happily recommend this company.
Informed by email confirmation of work and when engineer was on route. Friendly and efficient engineer, left home clean and tidy. Have used company previously and would recommend all work undertaken.
SCD Plumbing carried out a replacement Mira shower unit. The old one stopped working. Stuart visited and found the old model was obsolete but a different model could be fitted without removing tiles. Mike visited a few days later and new unit was installed. An excellent job. No mess or damage to existing tiles.

We have used SCD plumbing for around 2/3years, always professional and helpful, fast response and provided advice where we needed. I highly recommend, they have helped us with installing extraction fans, radiators, new gas pipes and cutting old gas pipes and have found them very helpful every time

I've had SCD Plumbing out a couple of times to fix issues with my bath/shower. They've been fantastic on both occasions and I highly recommend them. Most recently, I had a mystery leak that other plumbers had not identified (partly because they were reluctant to remove the tiled bath panel). Mike skilfully removed one large tile intact to reveal an access gap, and then replaced a very clogged trap system. None of it looked easy due to lack of space, but Mike diligently persevered. He also kept me informed as he worked and gave me options when possible. SCD Plumbing are now my go-to plumbers. They are professional, efficient, reliable and friendly from start to finish, and save me a ton of stress.

New Hot water Cylinder is amazing, although a little upheaval in the house to get it fitted this was expected its not a small job. Job complete as per estimate, areas left clean and tidy.

we moved into our new home back in July. We had SCD come and service the boiler for us as it looked old and for peace of mind check it's safe. I was happy for them to price up a new boiler there and then but they were very honest and said the boiler is old but still in safe working order for now so save some money and until it starts showing faults leave it there. All was working fine so good advise. Few months on and the old boiler is struggling. Called SCD who came and tested the boiler and found some faults. They gave us two quotes, one to repair and one to fit a new boiler. So again they were very honest for giving us a choice for either budget. We will be using them to fit a new boiler and I'm sure the next review we give will be full of praise also. Thank you SCD Highly recommend to others

Recommended these guys about 5 years ago for boiler servicing. Always on time, courteous and tidy in work. No flannel...tells it how it is. Picked up on some parts needing replacing and explained why, during recent service visit. Then explained how to contact manufacturer to check on how much guarantee left on boiler (Worcester Combi).

Brilliant from beginning to end. The process to book etc. was straightforward. The real value began when a few issues were discovered. The details and fix suggestions were made quickly and clearly. I was kept informed throughout and the team found the best solution without breaking the bank. The work itself was completed to an exceptional standard and on time (which I was not expecting after the issues!). I now have a lovely new bathroom and plans for some extras later in the year. I cannot recommend SCD highly enough, particularly Mike who was fab.

Fantastic service managed to fit me in. My elderly mums bathroom sink had a leak from the waste pipe and sink had come away from the wall too. I can thoroughly recommend SCD plumbing. They have helped me out several times. The latest was for a leak from the waste pipes of my bathroom sink. I received a text to let me know they were on their way and they arrived promptly. The plumber was really helpful, fixed the pipes and left the area clean and tidy.

Jeremy from SCD Plumbing carried out a power flush and boiler replacement over two days. After the installation of the boiler on the second day, Jeremy took extra care to ensure that all the radiators were working properly. We had problems with 4 radiators not working properly before this so this was an excellent result for us. No hesitation in recommending SCD Plumbing so we'll done Jeremy.

We recently moved into a house and had to move our gas meter, SCD Plumbing was very fast at coming out to connect the meter back up to the boiler and install the gas pipe in the kitchen to how we would like them so we can renovate our kitchen, they listened to how we wanted things done and they done this that way, they were very helpful and also helped us to take out old gas pipes. The two men who attended were very professional, I highly recommend this company.

We were wowed by SCD, and will definitely be recommending them! After discovering a crack in our (poorly-fitted) bath and pretty severe water build up behind the tiles in the bathroom, they managed to squeeze us in and get the issue resolved within 4 days. Everyone was really friendly throughout, and we felt as though we were kept well informed of our options the whole way through. Mike undertook the majority of the work, and we knew he had our best interests at heart. He and Stuart were very clear about how best we could repair the issues, were always upfront about costs and timescales, and spoke to us in a way that a layman could understand but didn’t make us feel condescended to at the same time. Additionally, Mike was very considerate of us working from home throughout, and made sure he wasn’t disturbing us (or our very skittish indoor cat!). John and Lewis also came round at points to help out and were friendly, and Carlo was always very helpful when we needed to speak to the office. We’re really happy with the final product, we now have beautifully finished tiles and a bath that doesn’t wobble about when we get in. Thank you SCD!

The SCD team have been incredible from start to finish. I had a leak from my taps coming up through the floor and walls and the whole bathroom needed redoing. Not only were they friendly, professional and fast , they've got a real eye for detail and gave me recommendations from taps all the way through to grout. My bathroom is beautiful and I cannot thank you enough!

The team were also extremely patient and flexible with us when we had some issues with our radiator delivery and it arriving damaged (nothing to do with SCD, we sourced the radiator!) and we will definitely use them again for future work.

We had a new boiler and several radiators replaced in the summer, waited until using the heating regularly to give feedback. Basically feel rather ripped off. The good thing is that the heating works. But it was a lot of money for a job completed with no care and a lot of mess. Boiler works but no attempt to clean up after installation. First thermostat installed did not work, in the end Stuart came out but could not get it to work so took it out and installed a Nest instead, which is what we had first suggested. Radiators were installed but had to be repositioned as placement not ideal. One bathroom radiator is still wobbly even though it was 'strengthened' in a later visit. A variety of radiator valves used, some easier to use than others. No care taken with work so stains left on new carpet that had been laid less than six months previously - Stuart offered to clean then later said not possible and offered £50 which, despairing of anything else, we accepted. A bath towel disappeared during the install, not seen since; we saw one just like it being used on floor but were told it was not ours. Unfortunately would not feel right in recommending SCD, at least not without caveats.

SCD have done a great job, both my partner and I are very pleased with the new boiler and the they went the extra mile. The engineers have been very professional and installed the boiler so it perfectly fits inside the kitchen cabinet, the pipes are hidden and it looks great. They also left the house clean and tidy, would definitely recommend!

We took a risk using SCD, having been let down twice by others and having no references, we just got in touch having passed the showroom. We couldn’t be happier. Excellent comms, great advice, Stuart and his team have been excellent, it was a big refurbishment (for us at least) of a family bathroom and separate WC in an old house, with a few “curved balls” but they were great to work with, offering sensible advice when needed, and Mike in particular (who was on site most) has a particular way of making sure things are done “right” that we really appreciated. Everyone who worked here was a pleasure to have around, so much so we have now found another job for them to do. Not the cheapest (bad idea), not the most expensive (another bad idea), but great value, and that’s what matters. Highly recommended.

These guys are good - when a hotel's boilers turn themselves off in winter, it can be a disaster. They arrived within 18 hours and found and fixed the problem, with guests due to check-in shortly. They installed and service the boilers annually doing an excellent quality job at a good speed in a reasonable time frame, never late on site, more often they get here early! We used SCD to fit out a new family bathroom and they did a fantastic job for us. The fitting involved laying a large area of porcelain plank-style flooring, tiling inside a shower enclosure and installing a vanity unit/basin, toilet, roll-top bath and large shower enclosure with shower. The guys arrived on time every day and worked really hard to get the job finished, special mention to Toby who did a great job with the tiling. They were all very friendly, professional and we would happily recommend SCD to anyone else.

SCD Plumbing are a pleasure to deal with. Carlo makes the bookings for their plumbers quickly and efficiently. Mike was the plumber who altered some very awkwardly positioned pipework in our kitchen to allow an integrated fridge/freezer to be fitted. He also fitted a replacement cartridge in our shower unit, which was a difficult job as the old one had seized up and was really difficult to remove. SCD Plumbing originally came to resolve a very long term unpleasant plumbing issue. Having done that, they went on to do some upgrades in that bathroom, which led us to ask if they would take on a much bigger project for us. They have now completed a major refurbishment of our downstairs - from a new bathroom installation to an entire new floor, where a wooden floating floor was removed in 7 rooms and replaced with a tiled floor. The result is stunning. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend SCD Plumbing to anyone. Care was always taken, and we were fully kept in the loop regarding progress, workmen who would be on site, and budget. A fabulous job! Thank you Stuart and your team😀

SCD had, about 1-2yrs ago, fitted a new pressurised water system. A pressure relief valve failed and cause a large leak into the drainage system. I called SCD out. They took 3 days to come, whilst the leak continued at the rate of a left-on tap, identified the defective valve which they had fitted in the first place, and replaced it. I was charged the full amount including labour and a new valve. I complained that since they had fitted a defective valve in the first place I should get a discount. They refused, saying the valve was out of warrantee. I understood this but since the defective valve was not my fault, but theirs, I expected a goodwill discount. They refused again. SCD were right in law but not in spirit or customer care. I paid the bill, but will never use SCD again.
Wow! What an amazing, professional bathroom refurbishment. Stuart was available from the quote all the way to the finishing touches and any queries/ questions were dealt with immediately. We had the pleasure of Mike carrying out most of the refurbishment. He was very friendly and is work is outstanding. Very happy with everything. I look forward to booking them again in the near future for my other bathroom.

SCD Plumbing repaired my boiler recently. Stuart came around and carried out a temporary solution to get it working so we had heat. He then came back swiftly with the part required for it to function correctly again. Still working perfectly through this recent cold spell. It was nice to have everything explained clearly and to have things back to normal quickly. A polite and proficient company, just what is required these days.
