We recently bought our first home and completed a full bathroom renovation before moving in, which included a complete reconfiguration of the space. This involved knocking down a wall, changing the door, blocking up a window, relocating the boiler from upstairs to downstairs, installing a new soil pipe, and repositioning the toilet, sink, shower, and bath. Matt and his team were fantastic from start to finish. What really stood out to us was Matt’s attentiveness. As this was our first renovation, we had plenty of questions, and he was always responsive, patient, and helpful. Partway through the job, we decided to install a water softener, and Matt handled the change with no issues at all, nothing ever felt like too much trouble. Any time we had concerns or wanted to make adjustments, Matt was approachable and genuinely focused on making sure we ended up with the bathroom we wanted. His communication was consistently quick and clear throughout the entire job, which made a big difference. We’re really happy with the end result and would highly recommend Matt and his team.

This was the result of a recommendation. Friendly response and best of all well as doing the job properly and without fuss, kept his promises to phone and turn up. Since my last review I have used mdh Plumbing & Heating for my yearly boiler service and to install new taps on my bathroom sink. I cannot fault their professionalism and their friendliness and they were also a pleasure to deal with. This is my second time for using mdh. But this time for my daughter. Just as good an experience as before. Her bath for the past few years often empties very slowly. As before, the promise to contact us was kept and two men spent not far off two hours on the job and have managed to largely resolve the problem without a massive bill. It is unusual to find businesses these days with a proper work and business ethic. My neighbour some months ago called them out for what to me was a minor problem, but someone from mdh came out straight away and resolved the problem. It us nice to know that mdh are there to provide emergency cover and that all of the mdh employees are so friendly. On e good thing, amongst others, is that Matt is always reassuring. We had an emergency. He attended very quickly, diagnosed the problem and within a couple of days obtained the parts and resolved the problem. He has a good team behind him, on this occasion Josh and David who were extremely polite and put themselves to a lot of trouble and finished the job without fuss.

Unprofessional, rude tradesman with the way in which he communicates. Calls himself the highest reviewed plumber in England - if only that translated into customer service. Was meant to do kitchen sink for me, by separating it from dishwasher and washing machine, as I've suffered from a strong musty smell coming up it for almost a year now. Was all agreed and i was so relieved to have finally found someone with such good reviews to do the job, after having bad trade jobs in the past! I was filled with hope when he agreed to help. However not long later when i was asking him questions about the job (as i'm not a plumber and like to gain an understanding of what's being done in house), he came out with the fact he couldn't smell anything on the day and that my allergies were in my head. Explained pupils have even smelt it and said that was called 'imagination'. Although upset, I tried to dismiss it at the time, as he showed a lot of knowledge in his messages about actual job, claimed to want to do it and to be honest I just wanted it done! But it's been continuous insults since then. He may as he says multiple times be 'the highest reviewed plumber in England', but you can be the best at something in the world, but a customer doesn't want to feel bullied or disrespected. I've tolerated lots of dyslexic messages and now drunken voice notes, yet I am the crazy one! Moreover he has not lifted a finger in terms of actually trying to help source the parts and I've been trying to order parts for months (coming from abroad). He said his job is a plumber, not sourcer - despite visiting a plumbers merchant most days. He refused to set up an account to order parts leaving me the customer to sort it all out. Fortunately with the help of the lovely plumbers merchant and about 20 phone calls later to the company, I managed to finally order parts this week and text him to share the news thinking he'd be happy for me. But what i received back was shocking: drunken inappropriate voice messages, again mocking me for wanting new parts (despite never suggesting a suitable alternative kit) and then a phone call; the nature of which has left me truly shocked as a single woman. My search for a plumber is now back to square one, but preferably someone nice and professional as opposed to someone who deems my plumbing problems to be in my head, in spite of friends and pupils also smelling the pungent smell that affects my health. I am left shocked and upset by his rude behaviour and don't want to be writing this, as was so invested in him doing the job after a few bad experiences in the past. But I feel this trumps them all. I feel so let down and after this whole encounter there's no turning back.
We had a new bathroom fitted and all went well apart from a few hiccups which were put right very quickly. The team worked hard and did a great job, very pleased with the end result.

Boiler making weird noise: we came back from our holidays to find our boiler not working & making a weird noise. Matt came the very next day, identified & fixed the problem within 15 minutes. Whilst we were away, the painters had removed the flue pipe and replaced it incorrectly, so it was drawing in , rather than blowing out carbon monoxide. This is the 3rd time we have used Matt & he never fails to impress with his professionalism and the quality & speed of his repairs!

I contacted Matt at a particularly busy time for him and his team. I had no heating in freezing temperatures and was desperate for help. Matt went out of his way to get round as quickly as he could do quote to install the new boiler/radiator and was able to fit the work in the following week. MDH Plumbing provided a total refurbishment of 2 bathrooms two months ago. We were delighted with them when they were finished and even more so today after use. Matt supervised the work throughout and had a good team of skilled workers who consistently worked to a high standard ensuring everything was left clean and tidy each day. The team worked to the original plan but were sufficiently flexible to be able to make minor changes requested by us as the work progressed. The work was finished on time. We would highly recommend him. Our only regret is that his service is a local one and cannot refurbish our daughter's 3 bathrooms as she lives 90 minutes away.

I had an issue with my boiler, it was making a bad noise and simply wasn't working. I spoke with MDH (Matt is who come to me) and he fixed it within 10 minutes. Matt arrived to me just a couple hours after I spoke with him on the phone. I was expecting a huge bill, a long wait and In actual fact it was really cost effective and was done within hours. I phoned Matt on Sunday afternoon as our boiler was showing a fault code. He said he would be round on Monday morning but that we could continue to use it. He turned up promptly, fixed the fault with a replacement part and checked the boiler was working correctly and safely. He was very professional, friendly and helpful. The phone is answered promptly, or an engineer calls back quickly. Depending on the problem they will react in the interests of the client. I went with their recommendation for a new heated towel rail and I could not have done better. The billing is always reasonable and MDH will guarantee its work. When they say they are coming they turn up. My advice to all is that like any Company they need to be paid so if you want exemplary service pay on time.
I have used this company a few times at my address and other property. Work I have had done is maintenance on boiler, gas safety certificates and new boiler. I would definitely recommend to friends and family polite, punctual guy, when finished place was left clean and tidy.

I cannot recommend Matt and MDH plumbing highly enough. They are a team of highly experienced plumbers and their customer service is fantastic! Someone is always on-hand to answer the phone straight away (which counts for a lot!) and they can always fit you in quickly.
If 6 stars were available they would get the extra. My job involved removing tiles and a soggy soaked underfloor, and fixing a lavatory. Each of the guys involved were experts, clean, tidy, fast and punctual. As a result mdh are quoting for a major refit. If I have a problem in future they will be the first people I call

I would like to thank Matt at MDH for coming out so quickly to fix my broken boiler, on a cold April evening. Even though Matt was extremely busy he went out of his way to make sure my boiler was fixed as soon as possible. Matt fully explained the error code F3 on my Glow worm boiler, and that he needed to check the Fan and PCB board Matt is very honest and fair, explainimg the most cost effective way to get the job done. He kept me updated with progress and was very professional and polite. I would not hessitate to recommend MHD and will definitely use MHD again.

Unbelievable service! If MDH can’t get to you straight away, they’ll try and help over the phone in the first instance. If you have an emergency, you can be assured they will get to you ASAP. Even when I’ve had small jobs, they actually turn up! And to top it off, no crazy charges!
