I went for Sunday dinner and the food was delicious and tasty excellent value for money I had the roast beef and it was cooked to perfection with plenty of crispy roast potatoes fresh vegetables and the gravy was very tasty

Very nice old style corner pub with several separate “rooms” / bar areas . Including a pool table. Good range of beers , including their own lager which was tasty ( and great value ).

We had the wake after our mums funeral on Thursday the 9th of April. The manager and his staff were so accommodating and helpful. They were so Friendly and made everyone very welcome. I can't praise them enough. I would highly recommend the queen's head for a drink or a celebration . they meet all of your requirements. thankyou so much. you all helped to make a sad day into a lovely celebration of our mums life. xxx june silver

Fantastic local. I remember back when it was Youngs pub and I like that the new operators have kept the Queen Mums photo and plague up, it’s still as original as it was back then and has a great atmosphere and a really strong local feeling. I also loved the sport being on

We hired the back room for cheese and wine night. So hence the ratings are for the that space on that night. Brilliant evening, really nice wine too. Check with pub if you want food, its not usually on offer.. Tyler is a brilliant host and made a real effort for us. The other 2 sides of the pub attract various crowds, so there is something for everyone, inc a pool table.

Apparently this is the pub the queen vic in eastenders is based on. Traditional locals pub in amongst the houses with a square opposite. Decent range of beers and friendly staff. We visited on a friday afternoon and it was quiet. They were doing a happy hour from 11am to 4pm with decent discount on drinks. By the time we left at 6pm it was starting ti fill with locals. Well worth popping in

Agreeable old-style East End boozer. The staff make this place a chilled place to sink some cold ones, they’re all amazing. The new decor is also a winner - especially the reproduction William Morris wallpaper, ace! Only real let down is they are hardly ever have any food available. Okay, so the kitchen might be closed during weekdays but, c’mon, no crisps? No nuts? Nothing edible AT ALL!? Meh.

🚇 Limehouse 🍺 £5.00 Amstel ❤️ A revived friendly Limehouse local. . The Queens Head is located on the corner of atmospheric York Square on the edge of Limehouse in East London. The nearest Tube is Limehouse DLR which is only a four minute walk away. . This pub was built in 1827 and is Grade II listed. After a period of closure the pub was revamped and reopened in March this year. This pub has a claim to fame, in July 1987 the Queen Mother paid a visit and poured herself a pint, declaring it better than champagne. This pub is where “that photo” was taken that you see on pub walls up and down the country. . This is a two bar pub that is simply decorated with bold colours. There is a stripped wood floor running throughout both bars, mid blue and white walls, butt and bead panelling and some wallpapered sections too. The seating is a mix of a large banquette, low and high level stools plus traditional tables and chairs. The traditional servery straddles the two bars and adds a bit character to the overall look and feel of this boozer. . The beer line up was diverse and included two cask ales and brews from the Pillars Brewery in E17. Being as unadventurous as always, I decided on an Amstel. My pint was excellent and reasonably priced at a fiver. The food menu here is predominantly pizza, most of which cost around £12. It was a nice to see you can get pie, mash and liquor for £7.50 from G Kelly's from Roman Road. The pub also does hearty Roasts on a Sunday for £15. . The atmosphere here was friendly and upbeat on this Sunday afternoon. The pub was fairly busy in and out with a mix of local punters and a few exploring the area. This pub shows live sport, there were a few in to watch the F1 and Rugby. This pub has plenty to keep you entertained, there is a quiz on a Monday and Vinyl DJ nights throughout the month. . Great to see this pub back open again and trading. This pub is definitely worth a visit, I’m sure the Queen Mum would have approved. . ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 28.05.23

Been to the Pub Quiz last Monday and it was so much fun! Julia was such a great quiz host. Great selection of beers, including great IPA. John - Pub Manager is also really nice and able to tell you about the beers selection and area. Nice energy in the pub and we had great fun! Highly recommended!
