Called due to issues with pilot light not staying lit on my boiler. Appointment booked for the following morning. Joel identified issue, part ordered and returned fixing it with no fuss or issues. He even helped me try to find the part cheaper online which was nowhere in stock. Price was fair. Will definitely use Culkin again.
Culkin Plumbing & Heating was recommended to me by a friend, and I can confirm they are an excellent firm. Efficient, quick to respond, reasonably priced, polite, professional and effective. And Jeff's off-site advice, given free of charge, was a big bonus for me - lots of helpful tips and advice. So overall they get a big thumbs up from me.
I called Culkin to ask if they had a tanker for a blocked drain. They did not, but they have amazing Customer Service. They took the time and effort to find out one that was reputable, and called back to give that advice - which we took. Thank you. This review is based on my experience with them where they removed what had been a nightmare taking up my whole morning.
Outstanding. Boiler had a gas leak and also needed to be serviced. Culkin's were responsive when making the appointment. The engineer was bang on time when attending at 8am (a specific time slot was given and adhered to - not 'in the morning' or 'at some point between 7am-7pm'!) . Professional, pleasant, polite and efficient. Job completed without fuss, huffing and puffing or escalation to additional work 'needed'. I very highly recommend them, and will not use anyone else for any boiler/ heating issues.
We had a bad experience with Culkin Plumbing. First we were not told in advance that their HOURLY rate is £110!! The guy who came to fix our boiler spent 6 hours during 2 visits and didn’t finish the job. He said that we need to replace the pump (that would require a third visit and buying a new pump which means paying another £500 at least). In the invoice we received, the had to pay for the parking although our building has a free parking but the guy who came didn’t ask for it. Later, we hired another company to check the situation to discover that the problem is not related to the pump 😔

Will go into greater detail if and when they contact to resolve the matter UPDATE: They have not responded to our several calls. Phone is deliberately screening calls as it hardly rings once before it goes to answerphone. Every call.
Was sent this guy called Danny, omg he’s the best guys you could ever want to fix your problem. Very helpful in testing everything making everything works perfectly fine. Even changing cables if they are old. I am really grateful to have booked them to my mums. Thanks Danny.
We had a leak in our kitchen over night. Within half an hour of phoning we had a plumber on site - he was polite, efficient and managed to fit a new tap from a local supplier. Couldn't ask for more!

Jeff Culkin and his team are efficient and professional, they came quickly to give a quote for a new boiler, assessed different options and were about half the price of others. Once here, they worked hard to install the new boiler in a difficult to reach place (but made adjustments to the space to make it work) and we couldn't be happier. would recommend them to anyone!
I'm so pleased to have found this company. The pricing is fair, the service is good. Once in a while there has been a sullen person on the phone but this is not the norm. Unfortunately, we live in a world where it's hard to find trustworthy plumbers and heating engineers so I am pleased that Culkin scores highly in this area. I use them for my annual service and GSC. I've tried to use them for emergency work and they've not been as responsive, possibly due to capacity otherwise this would be a 5 star review. Unfortunately after a few years of largely positive experiences, we had a horrible experience and it has put me off even using them.
Friendly,competent, efficient, affordable and reliable. Rare to find these qualities for a plumber in London, but Culkin ticks all the boxes. Higlhy recommended by several residents in the area.

Had muliple boiler problems, which Jeff Culkin identified and resolved, working Satirday evening to finish the job. I highly recomend Culkin Plumbing and Heating .
Stuart who attended was punctual, well mannered and did things very efficiently. Left the place very clean and tidy too. We had a new boiler fitted which was completed in 1 day and all old parts taken away. Will definitely use again.
Know their stuff and honest and friendly as well. Called them in our hour of need ... They were very busy but arranged for an engineer to stop over on his way home from work to see what the problem is and diarise a date to fix. Where others had not been able to diagnose, this gentlemen saw the problem in 5 minutes, and also had the replacement part in hand to fix. Additionally, we seemed to have a problem with the underfloor heating pump. "Before you buy a new pump, let me check the wiring." ... Indeed, the problem was just a loose wire. My wife asked: "Do you mind if you have a look at our radiator thermostats." A replacement thermostat immediately fixed that. So what was planned to be a visit to diagnose and diarise, turned out to be a complete fix where others had failed and mis-diagnosed. Definitely 5*. Great to have finally found a reliable, knowledgeable, skillful and honest engineer.

Called yesterday to book an appointment, only to be anseere by “Urgh Hello” Person on the phone firstly has no communication skills and clearly very unprofessional. She said she can send someone at 8am to which I said 11am would be better and said that’s fine. Next day came in and no one turns up at 11am. I call at around 11:20 and the person answering is confused at my appointment then makes me hold the line and says sorry the person has called in sick. Clearly the person yesterday wasn’t competent enough to book my appointment and then I get told the next available date is Tuesday next week. Absolutely ridiculous and pathetic service, I’ve used them many times before as it’s a local business with no issues but this time the service was simply appalling.

As ever Caulkin Heating and plumbing have some to the rescue. I am a landlord who's central heating broke down in January and it was so cold for the tenants. I called Caulkin but they could come out that day - it was 4pm on Friday afternoon - but would be there first thing on Monday. To help my tenants, I called an emergency recommended plumber. Big Mistake, I was told that my boiler is over 18years old and as such not able to be fixed and that they could replace it for like at a cost of 3500.00 UK pounds. I knew that the boiler was only 8years old and my tenants agreed to wait for Caulkin who came and said there was an issue with the air pressure switch, which they replaced and did 2 more follow up visits and it cost me 362.40 UK pounds. Big difference and I am so glad that my tenants were patient enough to wait as getting a trusted trader who actually knows what they are doing is of huge value to everyone, not just landlords. I will always use them and would highly recommend their professionalism, attention to detail and respectful engineers within the home. I have been using there services for over 3 years, but after this last job, wanted to share this excellent service. You can not go wrong.
Many problems with our flat: they tried to take us for a ride with new boiler, tap, toilet, and mess left on outside wall from boiler installation. Do not use.
Highly recommend, excellent service. Boiler was fixed even no parts on hand but the workman just took it out and back within an hour. I'm sure I will change the yearly check-up service for the boiler from BG to them.

Very honest and professional company, they fixed my leaking boiler under 1 hour and charged a fair price. Many boiler repair people are cowboys, they charge before coming and later try to rip you off. Culkin plumbing don't charge in advance and they are not liars like others , I will definitely be using them again.

While staying in Hampstead for holiday, we awoke one day to discover there was no hot water for our showers. We are from the US and were unfamiliar with the water heaters here and, to make matters worse, the private owner of our rental flat was traveling in another country and unreachable by phone. We called Culkin Plumbing and Heating and explained our predicament. He was very kind and understanding, even taking a moment to stop his route to another house call so that I could better hear him on the phone. He immediately recognized our boiler model and being generous with his time and expertise, talked me through a quick fix of adjusting the pressure, which immediately remedied the problem of no hot water. What a lifesaver! I highly recommend Culkin, who I found to be knowledgeable, honest, and most helpful!

Jeff has done a number of items of work for me at two properties. The last was replacing tired looking water radiators in my two bathrooms with lovely new chrome towel rails. He also drained and flushed the central heating system and replaced a water pump, which had seized up temporarily just after moving in to my new flat. The work was done quickly, and cleanly, with minimal mess. Jeff is a knowledgeable and very personable chap, who I have no hesitation in recommending. Good work at a good price, with excellent after-care support too. Marvellous!
