It wasn’t easy to scout and decide who to entrust with installing a new door, but I’m happy I chose READING TRADE WINDOWS (RG30 1BZ). I visited several stores before making a decision. Most were not only very expensive, but it was also hard to know how efficient or reliable they would be. During the installation process, Rizvan stood out for being extremely meticulous in every aspect of the job — a quality that reflects excellent workmanship. The entire team took great care to ensure that our property was not damaged during the installation. They were professional and made sure everything was done properly and according to plan. Unfortunately, some traders (no offense intended) often install doors without much regard for the customer’s property. That was absolutely not the case here. The attention to detail and care from Reading Trade Windows really set them apart. As for the door itself, I’m absolutely delighted with the choice. It's made of solid timber with a solid aluminium handle, and it feels premium and secure. We did compare prices with other suppliers offering similar doors, and most were far more expensive without offering better quality. In today’s market, consumers are careful and compare before making a purchase — and rightly so. It’s not about how expensive a door is, but rather the quality of service and product that truly matter. Some traders OVER QUOTE and lose customers, while those like Reading Trade Windows, who offer FAIR PRICING and great service, will always earn repeat business. Highly recommended!

The door is as specified and looks very nice. The installation was paid separately. The installation of a beam was required. The installer was kind and we had no problems.

Really couldn't find a fault with Reading Trade Windows. We had a very smooth experience fine tuning our proposal, the price was right, and Jason the fitter seemed exceptionally reliable and clean. There was one minor blemish on a door which we might not have noticed initially but the fitter pointed it out, and RTW organised a perfect repair via their touch-up expert. Had a great experience with Reading Trade Window. The price for my composite front door was very reasonable compared to other local suppliers. The design process was smooth and straightforward — thanks to Chris and Steve for patiently updating my design quotes multiple times. Their support team was also very responsive and quickly helped resolve any issues that came up. The installer, Ridvan, was responsible and paid great attention to detail. He thoughtfully suggested a small adjustment to the handle position based on his experience, which made the door much easier to open. The installation was done with excellent craftsmanship — even better than the original door that came with the house. The team also left the site spotless after the job, which I really appreciated. I’m genuinely so happy with the result — the new door looks exactly how I envisioned!

Had a door replacement. The door itself is actually quite good. The fitting and the mess around the door look's like it was fitted by a blind man. It's such a mess. Silicon and plastic trim over everything broken walls. So disappointing. They were so quick to come out and measure the door when they thought they had a sale. They do not answer the phone, promise to call back and don't. They don't like it if you keep calling. They eventually email at 7.30 pm the day before they arrive to sort out the mess. The owner came out, and although he said he could fix it he would not admit it was a mess. Said it was an old house, and if I wanted it to be perfect, I should pay more. The fitter who came to fix it did. He said he's always fixing problems. I still can't make it look perfect, as the first guy covered everything around the door in silicone, which will not come off and cannot be painted over. I would avoid these cowboys. They still have not checked whether we are happy with the door or apologised.

We had a mixture of replacement windows and doors supplied by Reading Trade Windows, the service from quotation to delivery was faultless and the quality of products supplied are a very high standard.

I brought a lovely composite door from RTW. It was fitted immaculately and the house left in perfect condition. the man i spoke to on the phone regarding this purchase, Chris was a pleasure to do business with. Would highly recommend this company to everyone.

I contacted Reading Trade Windows to quote on some glass units for me to install myself. Reading trade windows gave me a better price than several other local companies that I had tried. The helpful person I spoke to explained the best way to measure the glass units which gave me reassurance. After I confidently put my order in, the quick delivery time amazed me. Chris and Cliff were always happy to help. I am very glad to say that all my sizes were correct and the new glass units are perfect. No more cloudy Windows. I will always use them and definitely recommend.

Last month i had a couple of old PVC windows replaced, i could not be happier with the service from start to finish from Reading Trade Windows. Fast efficient service, the fitter, Andre, was extremely polite and pleasant to deal with, he was clean and tidy, always a bonus. I would confidently recommend this company to others, good tradesman are not always easy to find. We would definitely use this company in future, we are very happy customers !

I would highly recommend RTW from my recent experience. I had several quotes from Clive initially for different styles of bifold doors in my recently renovated Victorian house. The price was competitive against other quotes and Clive and the team were super responsive by email and with calls. The doors were installed by Ryan and look amazing. Great service, thank you!

We had a great experience dealing with Steve and Chris at Reading trade windows . The surveyors and installers did a great job . Our renovation included changing all glazing in the existing part and extended portions . Ridwan and his team who installed it for us did a complex job look simple, with having to transport glazing to a third floor . I would gladly recommend Reading Trade windows for any glazing requirements .

We cannot fault the service we received from start to finish. We probably weren’t the easiest of customers as we have an old property and had to work through several options before deciding on the final design. The installation was on schedule and carried out by a professional fitter. Many thanks to Steve for his patience in making this such a positive experience - we wouldn’t hesitate to use you again.

Great and prompt service. Team is very responsive, patient and professional. Quote was submitted within the time frames promised as well as the delivery of windows themselves. When having tons on questions and wanted to make changes (in particular as we needed to ensure we had privacy screen on the windows for the bathroom) they were flexible and took their time to respond to these. Lastly, they provided us with a serious and experienced window installer who made all the difference in the finish. Our house looks great now and fully recommend RTW for a piece of mind experience

** Update** Since leaving my previous review the door has been refitted to a satisfactory standard. **** previous review **** Generally awful. Front door and side window panels supplied and fitted. Door wobbles to the point the window seals are falling out and the upvc cover are falling off. Some attempts to rectify were made and glass replaced twice, but problems still remain so now it seems they choose to ignore instead of rectify. I will likely have to replace the door again with a different company at my own cost.

Lead time was shorter then other suppliers we enquired as well as price! On top of the window quality is top and installation was very smooth experience! RTW replaced all our office windows and doors, can't fault them, really refreshed the look of the whole place. Have no hesitation recommending them to any one.

Reading Trade are our go-to suppliers for all things windows and doors. The team are so personable, which makes dealing with any enquiries so much easier. Nothing is ever too much trouble. To top it off, they've never been beaten on price! They recently completed a big job for us and did a fantastic job. Highly recommend!

Reading Trade Windows were very professional. We bought origin products including OS29 sliding doors and multiple doors and windows from them. The quote was very competitive and they very responsive to all queries. You have to pay an independent installer to install everything so you have to be careful who you get. Our initial installer was not very good but Reading Trade Widows were very supportive and corrected everything that wasn't done correctly even though they didn't have too. I would highly recommend them.

Ordered a bi-fold from Origin and window from AlUK. The products arrived as expected, and were delivered day after. The installation was impressive and we are very pleased.

Reading trade windows fitted and supplied all my new windows. Communication from start to finish was outstanding and done in a very friendly manner, the products were of high standard and there was no issues. I am very pleased with the service that me and my husband received and would highly recommend this company .

A mixed bag in terms of experience using this company. Very good in terms of sales with Clive and the competitive quote. A bit poor on the detail and admin side, numerous corrections had to be pointed out on the paper work. The spec then changed again post placing the order, signing the paper work and paying 50% deposit upfront. If not spotted it would have resulted in a very expensive bi-fold in the wrong colour! This was then followed by the delivery date being pushed out by weeks and almost a further two months for one of the windows. Admittedly that was a manufacturer delay but to then refuse to release the window which took 3 months to deliver to the fitter because they hadn’t checked their emails and bank account for the small balance held back pending delivery of the window was really poor. Especially give that payment had already been made!

Up to this point their after service is awful - product is fine but follow up snagging has been poor! Despite stressing that the house is not secure due to doors not locking - I’m being ignored continuously both by the sales and fitting teams. I get that the distance is a problem but either don’t take the job on or make sure it’s absolutely faultless before leaving site. Happy to accept things aren’t always perfect first time but to be ignored for weeks is unacceptable. At this point I wouldn’t be recommending this company

Exceptional customer service ! Popped in to the shop in Reading to figure out what doors we needed. Staff was Super friendly and helpful. Gave us a lot of advice, and explained all options, then let us be until we were ready to complete the purchase. Our choice of doors was in stock so we arranged to a pickup and that was it !. Great experience, and would definitely recommend.

Fantastic service. We were looking an usual bespoke triangular solar glazed window for a new hut studio prototype. Clive, Ellie and the team were fabulous at making this happen coming up with a great solution, with a quick turnaround and at a great price. The quality of the frame and sealed unit were excellent. Delivery was efficient and well packaged.

From my own experience, I would choose this company again. They were happy to answer questions & show us/talk through the various options with patience. There were some minor defects with the install/parts, but never a gripe from them to fix it & I'm very happy with the final product/install. Yes, they didn't get it perfect first time, but they did follow through on the sale until the customer was happy. This is rare to find & something I value greatly because I'm happy with the final product & I'd have confidence in using their services again.

Absolutely terrible organisation avoid at all cost. Months after fitting I’m still waiting for parts…. I’ve just emailed them again chasing gaskets and internal bars. Their fitter took wrong measurements and have struggled to get them fitted and has cost me thousands of pounds to correct. I don’t think this is the end… yet. I’m even willing not to take legal action if someone can get the job finished, but I fear it may be my only option.

A good honest company, manager Chris and his staff were great in Keeping me informed with the supply of a special designed front door, gave me accurate dates for installation and a good high quality product.

Unfortunately, one of the worse companies I've ever had to deal with. We ordered bifold doors from them and needed to extend the opening in our lounge wall to accommodate for them. We followed the timelines they told us to, but were repeatedly let down by them and left with a 3m+ wide hole in the side of our house for weeks. The day before our original install date we still hadn’t heard from them and rang them only to find out that there were supply issues. This level of poor communication continued for weeks, with multiple failed install dates, and having to constantly ring them for information. They would say they would call us back but often didn’t, which was incredibly frustrating, and we didn’t feel like they remotely cared that we had a gaping hole in the side of our house through bad weather. They constantly dodged accountability by blaming their supplier, but our contract was with Reading Trade Windows, not their supplier. I understand that during these times there may be supply issues, but the headaches and frustration could have been avoided if they communicated with their customers instead of having to be chased up multiple times a day. I can’t recommend this company. Their communication, attitude, unwillingness to offer any compensation and the complete lack of accountability has left a sour taste in our mouths. They are affiliated with Abbey windows with a lot of the same staff working there, so do consider that too.

Windows fitted in January and still chasing for a handle for one of the windows, it’s a complete joke! No one gets back to you and when they do they dnt follow up with what they said they would do!

I ordered a new composite door from Reading Trade Windows, I absolutely love the door, it’s so much warmer in the hallway (and quieter). Luke and his team fitted the door and they were polite, prompt and efficient. Would 100% recommend.

We purchased a composite door from Reading Trade Windows and I cant fault the service they gave us from start to finish. We went to the showroom to have a look around and they were really helpful and arranged for someone to come and measure up. The door was measured, ordered and fitted all in a timely and professional manner, so I would highly recommend Reading Trade Windows.....they also fitted a dog flap in our rear glass door which is a great addition.

Door arrived and installed, order was correct and door fabulous. Installation a nightmare, Installers left house and we saw the damage to our Harlequin Sumi Wallpaper @£52 per roll. Spoke with Steve Macquire and sent pictures and not a sorry or can we pay for damage, just crickets and silence. Disgusting company never again.

After a terrible experience with another uPVC supplier we cautiously approached Reading Trade Windows and have not regretted our decision. After a positive (COVID friendly) visit to their showroom to view a door, we placed our order. Whilst there was a delay in delivering the door, we were informed beforehand and kept up to date with the new delivery date. There was a minor issue upon delivery which was resolved without delay. They even contacted us afterwards to ensure we were happy with everything. We will definitely return to Reading Trade Windows for any future purchases.

Well what can I say its been a pleasure from start to finish with RTW. From speaking to Steve and Chris in the office about what is was I wanted in my new forever home they quickly came to the conclusion what it was I needed. After this I was sent out a young chap called Luke Bremner which came to measure up all of my openings in my new home three weeks after my windows doors and bifold’s were all fitted fantastically by Luke and his team of expert fitters. Would highly recommend anyone going to Reading Trade windows for a fantastic experience in buying windows.

BUYER BEWARE. Use this company at your own risk... Problems with our installation included: - Incorrect contract supplied initially - 4 bifold door panes ALL had to be replaced due to defects - Ordered a front door that opened outwards (even though that's not what we asked for), so had to reorder. - Trims on roof lanterns had to be refitted - Used an installer who is neither CERTASS or FENSA certified, so building regs documentation was never completed DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

This is an extremely poor company that think that they are above the law and have no responsibility for there inability to listen. I have had to have the police involved when I was assaulted by there delivery driver. They managed to mess up our order even though we gave them a full schedule of sizes and requirements. I would not recommend anyone use this company and if you do be prepared for a lot of hassle.
