I would recommend this company for computer repairs in this area. Neil is a highly competent technician who carried out a tricky hardware repair on my Acer laptop. He explained in detail the work required, potential problems, and quoted a competitive price. The work took longer than expected due to additional difficulties in the course of the repair, however Neil kept me informed throughout. His final price was as originally quoted despite the additional work and the need to replace a further component.
Neil spent a lot of time on sorting out my contaminated laptop , both in the workshop and in my home. He was very patient and gave helpful recommendations. He prices are very reasonable

I found Byte Laptop Repairs very helpful , honest and upfront with discussing the options for my computer problems. Though I did not go through with any repairs I was not charged for their time and advice. I am happy to recommend them.
Met Neil through Networking Chandlers Ford and asked him to look at a problem I had, that I’d had before where my emails won’t send via Microsoft Outlook, only receive. I had already contacted both my server (Utility Warehouse) and Microsoft who both looked into it but said the fault was with the other! Although I could access and send from my webmail this was annoying as had always use MOutlook and was easier to access than webmail. Neil looked into it and discovered that the server required a different password for sending than for receiving even although I could access the webmail with the same password. So definitely a server problem and on the 2nd visit to Neil, we contacted UWClub together and because Neil could speak their language it turned out updates 8 months back had caused this issue and it maybe this couldn’t be resolved so I may have to set up a new email. Neil was very good on both visits working out the problem and each time it took just an hour and am confident he can set up a new email for me once UWClub have looked into this further. This also highlighted how the Service from webmail staff was far inferior than the knowledge Neil has! Neil very knowledgeable in all aspects of software and hardware to be able to challenge companies that are supposed to sell and support these systems, he could do a far better job so I would not hesitate to recommend Neil to solve any IT problems. He certainly will get to the bottom of it and fix where he can. Thankyou Neil!!

I contacted Neil regarding an issue I was having with my laptop. He was able to take a look the same day and came back to me within 24 hours with some very sound advice, details of costs and a loan of a keyboard to help me out in the short term. His advice was very sensible, he was honest about the costs and we agreed that the repair wouldn't be cost effective. I was impressed at Neil's frankness and he made no attempt to hard sell me a solution that other companies may have done to secure a paid job. Prompt, efficient and, more importantly, honest service and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company for anyone having an issue with their computers.

I had a problem with internet connection with my laptop computer via my Talktalk wireless router.. Neill Paulley came to my house and quickly assessed that I needed a replacement part for the laptop, which had to be obtained from overseas.. i visited his office to bring the lap top for the installation of the new part, and this was done with efficiency. afterwards I had another similar problem, which Neill proved was due to the (new) wireless router. His action and advice on these occasions proved to be good and helpful, and I shall call him again if I have other problems which, with his advice, I cannot solve on my own. The charge was reasonable.

Byte had My laptop for about five weeks, the issue of slowness appears to be resolved but a few keys no longer work, I would like to get the keys put right else where and reimbursed the cost which I thought was fair but this was refused,I know it is under warranty but I'm not comfortable handing my laptop back.Unfortunately I can not recommended Byte laptop repairs.

The guy came and repaired my laptop, explained everything clearly to me as I am not much of a technical person., did the repairs in a professional manner and carried out all work needed to repair this laptop and also quoted me a very reasonable fee for the time he spent on the laptop. Even though we have the virus to contend with, his services were still very professional
Disappointed. Had my PC for a couple of weeks, claimed to be doing who knows what with it, then returned stating all was fixed. The next day exact same issues occurred again as what I had before I sent it off for repair. Poor communication as well, had to be chasing for any updates after days of silence. Ended up taking the PC to a different place where they've diagnosed and fixed it in a day and a half where it turned out all it was is a faulty power supply! [Edit in response to businesses reply] Software problems which you claimed had appeared after you had already had the PC. I haven't had any before I handed it off. I had one and only one problem which wasn't fixed. So nothing I can genuinely attest to having been there or having been fixed.
My laptop hard drive crashed and the HP recovery tools were unable to recover it. All my data is backed up on the “cloud” so as it was 10 yrs old I wasn’t to fussed about getting a new one. The one I wanted was out of stock so out of curiosity I gave Byte a call. Very helpful, so I gave them my laptop. Unfortunately the drive was unrecoverable, however a new 256 SSD drive and windows 10 was installed and thanks to the “cloud” I have a fully functioning laptop for a very reasonable £100. Byte have saved me a good couple of hundred pounds and I highly recommend them.
Not professional at all, poor quality service and responsiveness -kept me waiting for a little over 6 weeks and I, had to keep chasing for an update every few days for 6 weeks! He couldn't offer me a temporary laptop while he repaired mine. Although to be fair, he did offer me one (too little too late), a few days before the work was finished where he ordered an other plug- in lead ( which was the original problem as it turned out) Poor value for money. I was stunned he had the nerve to send me an invoice. I will not be recommending Byte Laptop Repairs
