Meridian Box Sash Windows

We have just recently purchased a property which has sash windows needing replacing. I called Meridian and left my details on Wednesday. That evening Louis called me and 24 hours later came round, measured up and talked through what was required. Within a couple of hours of his visit I had received a detailed, itemised quote by email. Fantastic and efficient response by Louis. This is our first quote for the work required so nothing to compare it with as yet but for sheer efficiency, communication and speed of service I cannot fault Louis. Thank you.

Louis and his team changed out my old dilapidated Victorian windows, it was very efficient and his team were polite and courteous. All done on time and left the place clean before leaving Thank you 🙏

Louis and Ian recently completed works at my home, which I am extremely pleased with. Specifically they serviced four sash windows, replaced a sash window into an existing frame and replaced a sill on a further window. Right from the initial visit to assess and quote, It was clear that I was in safe hands. The quotation fully detailed the work that would be carried out and covered all eventualities, such that I was confident that the job had been carefully considered and would be completed on budget. Both Louis and Ian are clearly very capable craftsman and they worked in a very efficient and skilled manner. It was really refreshing to see how much pride they took in their work and the way in which they cleaned as they went meant that at the end of the day, everywhere was left spotless. It was a pleasure to have them visit as they were both polite and personable and were fully open in sharing and explaining the work that they were undertaking. Given the craftmanship displayed and the quality of materials used, I feel that the amount charged was completely reasonable. I'm thrilled with my fully functioning and draught proofed windows, as it has made such a positive difference in terms of minimising heat loss, increasing ventilation and reducing noise. UPVC windows will never be something you cherish, unlike these traditional wooden sash windows! The replacement sash is of hardwood construction and being double glazed, it's even better performance wise. The work to the other window sill was quoted as a repair, but ultimately on final inspection, it was decided that a full replacement sill would be a better solution. A completely new bespoke sill fully decorated was supplied, at no extra charge. Highly recommended!

I used Meridian to draft proof x4 sash windows in my top floor flat. One of the many services they provide. The difference in the property is outstanding, my heat is now being kept in and the flat feels incredibly warmer. The work was affordable and I was blown away at the cleaning up after! Over 20 years experience between the team and a genuine helpful and nice couple of guys.

Had more work done by the team at Meridian. Many thanks to Saul who was excellent, very professional, tidy & polite. Would highly recommend. Denis

We have just had Louis and Ian to upgrade all of our windows in our two properties. Louis came out to measure up and quote and invited us to see his workshop for us to understand the process. We went for double glazed hard wood Sache panel replacement, keeping the existing frames to reduce disruption to the walls. The quality of workmanship and detail in fitting was excellent. Couldn’t have received any better service. The other window competitors are not in the same league. The units are spray painted to our colour specifications. An amazing job and team thank you

I’m very pleased with my lovely new sash windows. Thanks a lot Louis and Ian. Liz

Fantastic work by Louis & Ian - very professional - highly recommend. Denis & Lena

We had some new hardwood double glazed sash windows made and fitted by Louis to replace our old draughty rotting sashes. Louis was very professional from initial quote to the day of fitting. Louis and Adam were prompt on the day and not only did an amazing job fitting the new sashes but also cleaned up really well. The windows are an absolute joy! No more windows dripping in condensation and much quieter and warmer. Just need to save up to get the rest of the house done! Highly recommended.

FANTASTIC JOB Victorian House Bay windows up stairs and down plus side window to front of house completed in one day. Professional polite and very clean used dust sheets everywhere and cleaned up leaving no mess at all. I WOULD RECOMEND TO ANYONE WITHOUT DOUBT.

Luis was excellent from first quote to updates and installation. Our windows look brilliant and we now have the same look as our original Windows without the drafts ! Very pleased with the whole job and can’t recommend highly enough.

About two years ago, Meridian Sash replaced our old single pane windows with double glazed sash versions (filled with argon gas and with draft proofing). The new units were created to fit the old frames, and to reflect the original design of the house. They look fantastic, and perform extremely well. We've had only positive feedback from visitors and neighbours alike. And, the house now performs much better in terms of energy costs for heating. Our experience of Louis and his team of installers was great, and we really appreciated having them in to do the work. We recommend them to anyone looking to have windows replaced. Best, Michael, and on behalf of Cheryl Folkestone, UK

I got on well with Louis straight from the start, and it was very easy to come to an agreement on what we needed. Louis and His team at Meridian completed the job on time and to a high standard. We have recommended him to some of our friends too!

Louis and Adam were brilliant. The windows are wonderful, the service impeccable and they were curteous and affable to a fault. Our house is now warm and quiet and they fitted nine windows in less than two days. Stellar.

Louis and his team replaced my large sea-facing sash windows with new hardwood double glazed versions, the reduction in noise and draughts is amazing, the windows look and work great and they were fitted in a day – and they left the place spotless

Louis and Steve did a brilliant job of renovating my sash windows. They had to replace all the panes of glass in each window and once painted, they look like brand new sash windows again. The windows were rattling and I couldn't open them properly, but this has now been resolved and they all open and close beautifully and no more rattling! I would not hesitate to recommend Louis and his team - great job guys!

We're delighted with our new hardwood sash windows, a great improvement on the old ones! The team all worked really hard and were very friendly, clean and tidy. The windows are beautifully made, with great attention to detail and all for a surprisingly good price. Altogether a great experience; thank you Louis and Team!

Louis was very efficient and quick to respond to our enquiry. His estimate to refurbish and repair nine windows at the front of the house was very reasonable with no hidden extras. Jason and Ryan were clean, quick workers. They really care about their workmanship and all the work was carried out to a very high standard. I would highly recommend them.

We are incredibly pleased with our three replacement sash windows, as well as a made to measure new front door. Louis, Jason and Ryan were efficient, professional and did an amazing job. We would definitely recommend them.

Louis and his team did a fantastic job replacing our old sash window for a new box sash. Louis was quick to come back with a good price and Jason and Ryan did a first class job fitting the new timber frame sash window in. It looks perfect and we are well pleased with our lovely new window. All the charm of an original but with a slim double glazed unit within the timber frame. The draft proofing too seems to have warmed up the room a lot already. We recommend them 100% excellent work.

Meridian have just been in to draft proof 6 sash windows at our flat and we are absolutely delighted with the results. Whereas the windows had been rattling in the wind, they are now held firmly in place by brushes and the place is much warmer. The 3 man team including the MD Louis Brett were polite, hard working, skilled and were very thorough cleaning up, Spotless! Our windows are old and a great deal of adjusting was done to get them right. We left it to Louis to select the window furniture and were very pleased to see he used good quality, heavy solid brass lifters and locks. We would have no hesitation in using Meridian again and recommend them very highly.

I had meridian box sash renovates 3 sets of windows in our home just over a year ago. I am now having to have another company redo them as all the paint is peeling of the frames a external seals. I asked to for Louis the md to use Dulux Weathershield 3 part system as it has an 8 year guarantee he chose to use a cheap undercoat and primer so dulux have tested the paint and will not hold up on there guarantee as the full system has not been used. While the new company was scraping of the flaky paint from the external window ledge they discovered 2 large gaps that had been filled with expanding foam and wood filler on top. I was assured that they replace all rotten wood and use a special 2 part system to fill it, this has not been the case. I strongly urge anybody else to go with another company I also have picture of all the work if anybody wants proof.

Great communication, responsive, efficient, courteous, professional, and a great job I have no hesitation in recommending Meridian Box Sash Windows. They have recently made, replaced and draught-proofed my sash windows in my Victorian house for a great price. The team is professional and worked quickly and tidily and did a fantastic job. Louis the MD was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish and I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

We just had Meridian in to refurbish and draft proof our old sash windows, as well as repair our Victorian rolling shutters. The job was first class. Louis and his team were all very friendly and hard working, neat and tidy. They had to work overtime to get a potentially awkward job done to a high standard. We are very happy to recommend them.
