This firm has just supplied and fitted new French windows for my house . The preparation for this , and the communication about it , was faultless : careful , accurate and entirely competent . That experience was matched by the work of fitting the windows . The staff were all clearly working to high standards and the finished work was perfect . I was extremely pleased with the service offered and have no hesitation in recommending them .

We approached Andrew Jaynes following a referral to the business from a friend. From our initial enquiry through to final sign off of our project the team at Andrew Jaynes were fantastic. Their attention to detail and survey was extremely acurate, visiting multiple times to be sure of the measurements and existing window details were all matched. We were also able to visit their workshop where all their joinery is produced and finished locally. Sean Reardon in particular was in constant communication providing updates and information to ensure that we were happy. Really pleased with the finished product. Andrew Jaynes' team fitted us a new painted, Accoya wood front door and side window recently. The team were great; prompt, professional and pleasant. The work was done beautifully and they went to great lengths to make sure we were really happy with the result. We feel we really got what we paid for.

We had quite a unique project of a bespoke arched door and frame to be made and chose Andrew Jaynes after much research and so glad we did. Their professionalism and their attention to detail stood out, above other companies. They answered all of our questions and queries and led us through the whole process with ease, from start to finish. Lewis and Sean, our fitters were really great, getting us involved with all stages of the installation and nothing was too much trouble. This company was asked to replace a frame, composite backdoor and sidelight with accoya timber in our Edwardian house. The specification required installing a full accoya unit with an inswing door and rustic textured handles. Tom handled the initial survey and minutiae. Both items were installed impeccably; accommodating the existing aperture with no destruction of surrounding brickwork and closing up a overzealous 70mm gap by the previous installers in 2005. A small gap around the unit was left to accomodate lime mortar struck pointing (finishing) I will do weather permitting. The installers were on time, professional, polite and precise and left no mess when finished. I am indeed a very happy customer and will indeed use them again for a smaller unit next year. Danny

We are very pleased with our recently fitted wooden windows. They are such beautiful items, made by craftsmen. The colour tone you helped us select blends in perfectly with the character and has managed to capture the feel of the house that we had hoped to keep. We will appreciate the double glazing in the colder days but in the meanwhile we are enjoying the new fresh look of our house outside and inside. A fantastic company to work with. Excellent product, great people and service. We replaced tired 1980s pvc double glazing with accoya wood sashes and a new front door. The whole process was seamless with great communication and advice throughout. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing windows. Not the cheapest but definitely the best. We had all our Victorian original sash windows replaced by Andrew Jaynes 8 years ago in accoya wood. As promised they have really stood up to the weather and test of time paintwork still pristine and still looking and working great. So when it came time for a new front door recently we were happy to go back to them. It wasn't a straightforward swap but time and care taken in the initial survey to get a solution to fit our particular needs, excellent workmanship in the manufacturing and carefully and skillfully fitted as the opening was in poor condition and needed some reworking to achieve a good fit. All in all very pleased with our new accoya door

Andrew Jaynes provided great services from quote to completion. I awkwardly asked for a colour that they didn't have the reference for but colour matched perfectly. We were a bit worried with a timber door that it might be drafty but it's perfect, sealed and they even offered a follow up visit once it had settled. Delighted with it and will be using them when we replace our windows next year. Can't recommend highly enough

We decided to undertake a renovation of our existing property and wanted to achieve this in three stages. We approached Andrew Jaynes to work with us to manufacture and install the windows and external doors; in all honestly the best decision we made. Totally professional from start to finish, no hard sell (which believe me for windows is refreshing and rare) absolutely flexible and above all a really outstanding product - accoya hardwood windows and doors. We’ve completed two stages of the project, with one to go (later this year). This will conclude a four year program, driven our timescales. In my opinion a sign of a good business is people retention, and we’ve dealt with the same team over the whole period, from planning to installation; this speaks volumes. We’ve had some good bad experiences with companies, and without doubt Andrew Jaynes is the stand-out positive experience, and I recommend Andrew Jaynes without hesitation.

Andrew Jaynes have done a lot of work for us, mostly replacing old and rotten timber sash windows in our Grade 2 listed home. Planning authorities have been keen, as we have, to retain the character of the house and AJ's work ensures that. Products are of the highest quality and workmanship in construction and fitting is faultless. Staff are unfailingly polite, skilled and helpful. The company's communication and admin are exceptional. We chose Andrew Jaynes Ltd after quite a lot of research into finding a reliable company to replace the windows of our property situated in a conservation area. We wanted a well made and well designed replacement for our existing windows ( most of which were beyond repair). We were invited to view the windows being made in their workshop and they involved us in the whole process …... choice of wood, choice of glazing etc. Working with Andrew Jaynes Ltd turned out to be a seamless and straightforward process from start to finish. From planning, to the removal of all the old windows and the fitting of the new; everything was completed in good time, with the minimum of fuss. All very efficient and tidy. I wouldn’t hesitate in making this recommendation.

We live in an old house and the old door no longer fitted - there was a draught seemingly all the time. We contacted Andrew Jaynes with an outline of what we wanted and received a quote within 24 hours. We then had a site survey and a discussion about what sort of glass we required and also the door furniture both inside and out. The door was duly made and fitted perfectly when installed. We were certainly warmer this winter. Overall it was an extremely professional process from start to finish and would definitely use them again should the need arise.

When we moved to a period house in 2020 we were aware that the old casement windows were in need of replacing and that they needed to be sympathetic to the age and character of the building. Ideally we wanted to replace with wood. We carried out quite a bit of research and started to build up a picture of who might be able to do the job and what this might cost and I liked the idea of using a local company. Andrew Jaynes came up in my searches and their previous work looked very good. I contacted the company and found out a bit more. They were able to produce them in accoya, a stable and long lasting timber (potentially fifty years life). Having given them the quantity and dimensions of what was needed they got back within a couple of days with a competitive quote which included a sprayed finish and installation. They invited my wife and me over to see their set up and as a former design teacher I was pretty impressed with their CNC machine which the company had invested in. At this stage I had every confidence that Andrew Jaynes would do a very good job of the ten sets of casement windows and a pair of patio doors that we needed and we placed an order. After accurate measurements had been taken the company gave us an installation date and this was adhered to. We were impressed with the team who were around the house for over a week and always friendly. As you can imagine it could have been quite a disruptive process, but they made it as smooth as possible. The quality of their work and attention to detail with things like the pointing was excellent. The windows have been in for nearly two years and still look as good as the day they were installed. All the mechanisms still align exactly and work very well. All in all we were very impressed with both the process and the final product. Excellent. Thank you

So pleased with the product and the service. I was given a complete tour of the workshop showing me how my window would be made and finished. I was given the choice of wood used and detailed explanations of what would most meet my needs. There was a site visit to confirm measurements and once everything was confirmed and the order placed I was updated frequently and all queries answered. Fitting was seamless, lovely fitter, clean and extremely tidy within my home and nothing was too much trouble. I used this company as a friend has used them and recommended them to me. 5 stars from me.

I'm always a little nervous of having work done on my house but my front door really needed replacing so I couldn't delay it any longer. I feel very lucky to have come across Andrew Jaynes! Perfect and professional service..

We have just had 16 windows and doors replaced by Andrew Jaynes. We wanted wooden windows to keep the style of the house. As we had no previous experience of the company it was reassuring to visit the workshop where the windows are manufactured and to see the product. The product is excellent but as always with windows the quality is only half the story: happily the fitting is also excellent with very little damage to existing walls. All we needed to do was touch up window sills and a little interior paintwork. The whole team from sales to installation we found to be very professional and efficient. They managed to conduct the whole process despite the issues thrown up by the Covid outbreak. We would have no hesitation in using them again or recommending them.

I just had new French doors and windows installed in my 15th century cottage by Andrew Jaynes. I cannot speak highly enough of Tom Grimer and the rest of the AJ team for their professionalism and approach through the entire procedure - which, for me, started with a guided tour of the facility where they manufacture the units near Canterbury. The project : To replace five different sized windows together with a four leaf bi fold “Barn like entrance door” to the front of elevation of our property. The property is situated in the Sandwich Conservation area . The windows and doors are bespoke, made from Accoya hardwood , manufactured and painted at the Andrew Jaynes workshop. We have been impressed with excellent the customer service , no pressure sales approach , realistic pricing and clear communication that has been provided by Andrew Jaynes Ltd throughout the project . The opportunity we had to visit the workshop to discuss the quality of the materials and manufacturing process with Andrew Jaynes the proprietor was another significant factor in our decision to proceed. The site survey provided by Tom Grimer was very professional and detailed. It provided a good opportunity to discuss and obtain valuable advice some of the more detailed options regarding window furniture and hinge alternatives. We are extremely pleased with the quality of the windows and doors delivered , and by the work of the team in removing the old windows and doors and installing the new units very efficiently with very little or no impact to the internal decoration.
