Getting a quotation and booking in the work was a very good experience The install guys were fantastic. The after documentation and getting the MPAN number for the exporting was lengthier than expected. Really pleased with the system and the way it is performing.

We have our air source heat pump and new solar panels for over three and a half years and recently propped up the battery power with AES. Overall we are very happy and grateful for their work. We had a few issues at the start when AES could not find the right site for the heat pump and we already dismantled our greenhouse to fit the pump, but in the end AES found a much better location and di all the plumbing and installation works very well!

our air source heat pump was installed years ago by another company who went out of business, AES attended on our request because it seemed intermittent and hadn't been serviced for several years. AES took all the details and identified several failures which needed urgent attention. The repair was done, and all became reliable again. The engineer was speedy in putting things right, and left us with good advice, we are now on the annual service. We received several follow up phone calls from polite knowledgeable people.

Our Daikin air source heat pump was installed over 10 years ago. With insufficient indoor space, the highly professional AES team installed the unit outside and built protective housing: problem solved! The unit has seamlessly controlled our heating and hot water system ever since and AES arrange an annual inspection/maintenance visit.

Installation of air source heat pump has been very successful- AES did well, but the sub contractors worked very slowly to start and rushed at the end, which left the last touches shoddy.

We got an air source heat pump installed a couple of years ago. The installation was great, as scheduled, clean and professional. We've had the odd problem with control unit resetting when we have a power cut but AES have always been available to help get us going again. Annual servicing is also good. Would definitely recommend.

Great experience all round with AES. Assessment, Installation and after-sales support was great. Technicians were neat and tidy and carried out the job professionally. They set up our air-conditioning units and solar panel installation in the most cost-efficient way possible and it's been working well ever since. 5 stars

AES supplied and installed a battery for us. The service they provided was excellent, there was an issue with the battery which required it to be replaced under warranty but they helped to sort this out. I would recommend their services and would use them again.

AES installed a 3.5Kw Daikin air conditioner in our lounge in November 2022, and replaced our gas boiler with a Samsung R290 12kw Heat Pump in the summer of 2024. AES installed the air conditioner in a few hours and we have never had a single problem with it. In our recent hot summers, it has been wonderful, easily keeping the whole downstairs of our 4 bed house to a pleasant 24C even when 40C outside. The heat pump too has had no problems, and has kept us warm for 2 winters now. We had no need to replace any radiators, though AES did install a larger water tank for us. The install only took a couple of days and the service was great. They also did all the applications for the government grant etc. for us. With 3KW of solar panels on our roof, on sunny days most of the power for the heat pump and the aircon comes from the panels, and when it doesn’t we use a cheap Cosy Octopus tariff …keeping our yearly electricity bill to just under £800 for all heating, cooling of 4 bed house and powering a family of 4 ( though our cooking is still gas ). I would highly recommend AES and the excellent Daikin and Samsung kit they have installed for us. They are a friendly and very helpful team. I would also recommend going for all 3, a heat pump for the winter, a single small aircon to heat in the winter and keep at least a few rooms cool in the summer ( essential if you work from home in the summer as I often do ) and a sensible amount of solar panels on the roof ( at least 3kw for a 4 bed house ) to power it all. I have attached some pictures, my Octopus electricity power usage for 2025 and a couple of videos of the outside units running to assure you they are both quite – they can only be heard from close by when outside and our neighbours have not noticed them.

Excellent installation experience, 24 panels and a car charger all installed in a day. The system was very well designed and is performing brilliantly. Would recommend.

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending AES, who delivered not only a first class service, but a first class product on every occasion I've used them. My latest involvement was in the purchase of batteries to add to my solar panels, also purchased and expertly fitted by AES. The batteries were a complicated fixing, but the technician was excellent and made absolutely sure that everything was working as it should before he left, and it's working perfectly!

Used AES to replace our old gas boiler with an air source heat pump. Contractors were quick, friendly and did a good job with making the install look clean. There were a couple issues that needed looking into which were quickly remedied at no cost to us

Excellent service from the initial assessment for suitability, to the installation. The team removed the old oil boiler and storage tank, installed the heat pump, and carried out handover to explain how it all works. They sorted out the Govt grant to help out with the costs. We had an Air Source Heat Pump fitted by AES in October 2021 and it is working efficiently and keeping the house lovely and warm to date. We signed up for their service contract and have had an annual visit to care for it since. The team were experienced and knowledgeable and did the work quietly and cleanly. We also used AES for the installation of Solar Panels and these too were fitted efficiently and quietly. We returned to AES in 2023 for a windows and doors refit and once again an efficient installation which we are very happy with. We have been very pleased with all the services they have provided.

Had solar panels and air source heat pumps installed by AES at the end of last year and beginning of this year. Installation of both systems went well, although it was quite an upheaval. Both Installation teams were very good and friendly and were careful of the house and tidied up well. Both systems working well. Haven't had any sunshine for the solar for a few weeks! 4 years ago AES installed our heatpump and it has been maintained by them proactively in late summer when the engineer calls me. The important thing here is that the installation and design needs to be right, there are so many stories about poor design systems. I would NEVER go back to Oil heating. Note our house is an 1880 victorian cottage in the greenbelt so don't believe all the rubbish on FB from the EV and Heatpump haters. Over the years Ive reconfigured bits of our heating to make the most of cheap rate power. They are a good business.

We had an Air Source Heat Pump fitted in 2022 and so far it has been trouble free. The installation went very soothly and the contractor was very experienced and did a very neat job. There were a number of small issues with our old installation but he was able to sort out solutions immediately. You know when the heat pump is working ok - it blows out very cold air!. Over all we are very pleased with the installation and the effectiveness of the system.

We had thermal spray foam added in our loft. The loft no longer gets cold and damp in winter, nor too hot in summer, and it saves on energy bills. Icynene was used, which is "open-cell", which seems fine. There are scare stories about spray foam, but they relate more to "closed-cell". My only warning would be to make sure you either empty the loft or cover everything, because the spray foam does seem to get everywhere.

Replaced a plastic conservatory roof with glass. Polite and easy to deal with, very happy with the result.

AES arranged for my roof/loft insulation. The guys did a great job. And my loft is now a pleasant place in both Summer and Winter. This also means I need less heating in Winter and it's easier to cool my house down in the Summer.

We are in our second winter with air-source heat pump installed by AES. We have been very happy with the system which is effective and also cheaper to run than our previous gas system. AES is a smaller company and sometimes it felt like they were struggling to stay on top of everything through the installation. However, they really did their best and when the hot water tank sprung a leak after a few months (not their fault) they pulled out all the stops to sort it and replace the tank. So overall we are very happy with the service and can recommend.

I have had various projects completed by AES, including an air source heat pump, solar panels, an insulated solid roof conservatory, and composite front door. Work is always of a high standard, and it is easy to contact the company for information and advice.

We are long term users of AES, first time as customers in 2014 when we had an air source heat pump installed. The consultation and subsequent installation was smooth and efficient. The installation team were happy to answer any queries. We also signed up for the Annual Service plan and we always receive a call to set a date. A little later that year we had a Solar Cache unit fitted to optimise the efficiency of the solar panels. Given our previous good experience with this business in 2016 we decided to have an Air to Air conditioning unit installed in the conservatory, again the installation was hassle free. In 2022 we noticed that our solar panels were not giving the usual readings. We discussed, the problem with AES and it was agreed that the problem would be resolved by installing a new inverter. Although AES hadn’t installed the panels they were happy to undertake the replacement. We are very pleased with the numerous works undertaken for us by AES and have no hesitation in recommending them for reasonable prices, work completed in a timely manner and professional and friendly fitters

It was a joy to work with AES and their team of installers on our new heat pump. The electrical system proved a challenge because of an existing 2 phase supply but the wonderful electrical team fathomed out how to make it work. Our system links our previous biomass boiler to the heat pump and that also caused some head scratching but between us we got there. It just shows that innovation can work with the right team!

Excellent installation with the minimum of fuss. AES were very efficient and pleasant to deal. We would recommend them without hesitation. Our heat pump works really well and delivers heating and hot water whenever we want and at the temperature we want.

AES installed an ASHP system into our house in February 2023 and they have done the annual service ever since. I had requested a high temperature ASHP, which they provided and it quickly heats up our home, not too dissimilar to the gas boiler that it replaced. The installation team were professional and pleasant over the three days and it has worked without fault ever since.

I installed 14 pieces solar panel in May 2025. Found that my family home only need less than 30% of electricity generated. I then explore to install heat pump. Called a big company and paid fee for survey. I was told that this company could not do it for me. I then called AES, Ash for help. He said I asked you about heat pump before your solar installed, and you declined. We are specialize in heat pump.... Then another feasibility survey and heat pump installed in July. Excellent service. I stopped gas completely. Very happy about this company.

A friend originally recommended AES to me and they fitted a heat pump and solar array with battery in 2022 and I have been very happy with it. They have just fitted some more solar panels in June this year. I have always been very happy with their efficient work and servicing.

Installation of Solar Panel Array (and Batteries) and replacement of Electric Night Store Heaters/Panel Heaters with Smart Haverland Convection Heaters. The attraction to me of AES Contractors initially was that they were a "One-Stop Shop" who would oversee the complete package, including additional insulation in the attic. The whole installation was completed promptly, from the initial quotation in December to commissioning in early February. All the personnel involved were professional and completed their various parts of the project to a high standard. The realisation of the full benefits necessitated the switching of my electricity supplier to a smart tariff and an export facility which took rather longer and I have not yet had a full 12 months to assess fully the achieved economies, but initial indications are spectacular reductions in consumption. Very Satisfied.

I have had several installations by AES now, returning to them each time, as they are reliable and transparent. Hence windows, doors, air-source heat pump, solar panels and batteries. All good.

AES did a nice job. Very quick and efficient. They weren't phased by our microbore radiators, and the pump has been working well since, saving us money on our heating bills.

They installed our ASHP last week. This one supplies hot water to the existing radiators and our hot water tank. I have another air to air system for the air conditioning/ heating and loved that, but when that was installed around 4 years ago, there were no heat pumps that supplied water hot enough for our needs, which is why our system is rather piecemeal. We were still using oil to heat water and keep a good level of background heat across the home with some radiators as there is no gas available out here. Dave, Tony and Emma, as mentioned in other reviews are a great team and quickly became part of the family. I got back from shopping one day to see the front door wide open and went frantic looking for my ancient cat. She has dementia and cataracts. Checking both 'day beds' there was no sign of her, but then Emma realised I was looking for the cat and told me that when she had asked to go out, they had let her into the rear enclosed garden as usual. When heavy rain started, Emma and Dave both went out to find her to make sure she wasn't getting soaked, only to find the cat in her kennel wondering why they were choosing to get so wet! That was so deeply appreciated, and I mention it here to show you the level of care these guys take in your home. Everything was left vacuumed and tidy for us and, whilst anyone in your home doing work like this causes a mess, it was tidied up and sorted with the garage brickwork repair made top notch by David, after the old boiler and vent were removed. The team would be welcomed back any day and whilst our home is now fully Green, If anything else does crop up, they will be top of my Go-To list for modern home improvement. From first contact to job complete was 5 weeks. If you are reading this and pondering on a heat pump system, grab it whilst the grants are available before Government realises they are skint, and yes, you can trust AES Contractors and their team. We spent at least £2 thousand a year on heating oil, and the efficiency of a heat pump, along with our 25 solar panels and backup batteries should see the cost paid back . After my winter bills are in, I will update this review with the running costs as they will certainly be lower than the cost of oil. This house is now 100% GREEN, and we have never been more comfortable.

The installation of our air source heat pump was done well and an initial leak was fixed quickly. But within weeks the system started losing pressure, then the filter began leaking. For a couple of understandable reasons this took longer to fix than I would have liked but the communication around this could have been better. Despite the momentary lapse, the overall end result and my feelings about the AES team are positive.

I recently had my air source heatpump installed and just like to say from start to finish it was superb experience . From the intial visit by the manager Ash whom was very knowlegeable , then the surveyor Peter. Also a big thanks to the installers Tony and Dave who done a clean and tidey job. Very happy to recommend AES contractor's who recently installed my solar panels, very helpful from start to finish. I had hard cell spray foam in my loft so 3 companies deemed it unfeasible however the installation team used there experience and expertise to install it without disturbing the roof

So, AES Contractors Ltd. We decided to join the green band wagon given recent price drops. I did the obligatory 3 quotes with Henri (AES) last. They visited the property and gave us many more installation options as well as what we should do now to allow easier upgrades in future. Henri also looking at the roof provided a solution with 7 more panels than we were offered from Octupus. The installation went like clockwork. The majority of the work was done in a day by I think 5 contractors. All of whom knew each other and the core who worked from 7am until last light around 10pm. Once complete we received a full detailed pack with all the certificates, wiring diagrams and instructions along with various useful other bits and bobs (most we haven't read :-)) . Since then we have added a large battery which was installed without a hitch again by AES. I personally think you can judge a company by how they handle issues. They originally offered an option to heat our water automatically this highlighted a broken element in our immersion. They got a plumber out and fixed this F.O.C. which I think is the mark of a company to recommend. Indeed I would not and have not hesitated to do so. 5 stars.

An absolutely quality airsource company, what an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Henri the owner was a lovely helpful chap that couldn't be more accommodating, he upgraded me to a high temperature samsung unit which works like a charm. I'm a review reader and I'm glad I didn't listen to the "few" bad reviews because the professionalism of the fitting team was first class, a true pleasure to have them in the house. Great experience. We had a heatpump installed. They were excellent. Great customer focus, polite, nice guys, knowledgable and able. We had a faulty control board on the heat pump. That was resolved quickly and diagnosed well. All in all a great experience. Highly recommend.
