Afterglow installed a new boiler for me a few years ago and I was really impressed with their work. Since then, I've always chosen them to service the boiler and do my gas safety certificates. Vic is friendly and very professional and always responds quickly to me and my tenants.. I highly recommend this company!

Vic and his apprentice (also called Vic) recently installed a brand new Worcester Bosch 8000+ 32kW Combi boiler, flue and controller and replaced all the radiators throughout my house. Their standard of work is impeccable and they're both friendly and very professional. I'm so glad I chose them and highly recommend them to anybody who needs great plumbers that are a BIG cut above the rest! 💯

Had our new boiler installed recently, and I’m really happy with the whole experience. The engineers were professional, explained clearly how everything works, they made sure the system was set up properly before they left. Everything has been working perfectly since, and the house is lovely and warm. Truly recommend them for a reliable and smooth service.

Used Afterglow a few times for frozen pipe repair and general boiler service. Just had new radiators throughout the house. Work was professional and quick. The lads worked very cleanly and left no mess. Did a great job, very happy! 👍

I'd been let down by another Gas engineer numerous times. Contacted Vic and he got me booked in. There was a problem on the day with another job he was doing but he kept me informed and arranged to come that evening instead. Excellent service and can thoroughly recommend !!

Outstanding from start to finish! Replied within every hour of when I sent a message. My grandparents wanted a new Worcester Bosch boiler and the service was exemplary. Quote was the cheapest out of boxt and Iheat - so that was more than efficient. Vic and his son are highly recommended as the job was completed before the estimated time was given; they tidied and vacuumed after the boiler had been fitted. I had a few problems with getting used to the controls and vic was happy to talk me through it. Should I require a new boiler in the future or know of anyone I will be sure to use again.

Brilliant service again from Vic and the team!! We had no heating and after our call he came out after within the hour, diagnosed a faulty valve, ordered from Screwfix and up and running with a further hour. At the same time serviced our boiler which was due next month so a massive 2way win 🏆.

Our boiler broke Sunday night at 1am when it was -1 degree outside. My partner and I have an 8 months old baby and the house was cooling down quite rapidly. Called Vic on Monday and he initially said that he couldn’t do a boiler replacement until Wednesday. However, he called me back about an hour later and had managed to move all his other jobs and prioritised our boiler replacement for Tuesday which my partner and I appreciated greatly. Vic was punctual, polite and tidy and the work was spot on. Highly recommend his service. Thanks again

I’ve just had my boiler replaced with Vic at Afterglow. I’d highly recommend him to anyone. Communication was great and he answered any questions I had so I understood all my options. When the work was carried out he was really careful to keep doors closed so my indoor cat couldn’t escape, which was much appreciated. All mess was cleared up, which was again much appreciated. Afterglow went above and beyond to make sure I got the best outcome and even recommended I go direct to the boiler manufacturer but they couldn’t help so Afterglow came back and fixed the problem, gave it a service and it’s now working better than ever. When we realised it was time to get our boiler serviced, I emailed about 4 or 5 companies I found on the Baxi website. Afterglow was one of only two companies who got back to me. Vic replied almost immediately and told me they had a slot the very same week. My boiler started playing up I phoned after glow plumbing. I have used afterglow plumbing for many years now. Vick said that he was working just a few miles away. And would come round to have a look. He fixed the problem on the boiler. Also did the service on the boiler which was due. All in all fantastic service by a professional company.

Vic was very quick to reply to messages. Once booked he turned up on time and was very clean and professional when working. We would definitely use him again.

Called Vic as my boiler stopped working, luckily he was in my area and said he would pass by to see if he can get it fired up. Unfortunately he found that my boiler needed a few parts which I suspected having never had it serviced in 14 years. Vic offered to order the parts and book me in, however I opted for new boiler install rather than keep replacing parts. Within an hour of him leaving I had an official itemised quote at a very reasonable price. Having accepted the quote my install was booked in 2 days later. Vic arrived on time and finished the job to a high standard, on time and on budget with absolutely zero issues. Would 100% recommend, professional, reliable and great price. I called afterglow plumbing and heating for a boiler replacement for an 86 year old lady I know who's old boiler had died and within 48hrs of visiting the house . Afterglow helped me to install a new cylinder in my apartment in Birmingham City Centre. When I first contact Vic, he diagnosed my issue over the phone call straight away. Called afterglow to come and change a stop tap on the recommendation of Severn Trent. The gentlemen arrived on time and got to work without delay. In addition to this, he resolved another issue with the toilet flush and the kitchen tap without extra charge. Seriously cannot recommend this man highly enough, excellent work and very reliable and job done to a very high standard.

Vic installed a worcester bosch boiler for me 2 years ago. He told me he would put the job through Boxt as it would work out cheaper. Great. He proposed the job would take 2 days. On the day he brought somone elses apprentice and another man and said it would be a day. I was told around 3pm the work was finished so came back home. The apprentice said to vic what about the valves upstairs and vic said it would be ok. Few days later a valve upstairs leaked and vic came to repair. He told me they were old and I shouldn't touch them. Why weren't these replaced at the time? I asked how much to replace and he told me a price so I said I would be in touch. Few months later and vic is not interested in coming back to replace and said he will see me for the boiler service. I have never heard from him since. I was told by a subsequent plumber the boiler should according to regulations have an isolator switch, and without this the WB warranty may not be vaild, so I have recently needed to contact Boxt separately to come out to fit one and also have the outside flue adjusted to be flush with the wall. Not very good customer service.

The engineer made no offer to do the job. He said he was too busy

Afterglow were the 3rd company we had over to quote for our new central heating and after they came round to have a look we knew they were who we wanted to go with. Our house had storage heaters so we knew there would be some upheaval to fit a whole new system from scratch but I was amazed at how little mess was made. In two rooms upstairs the other two firms who quoted had said that the laminate flooring would all have to come up and would need to be re done but Afterglow installed everything without taking up any of the floor which has saved us money as well as mess. I will be using this firm for all relative work on my house in the future really efficient and professional service. Not a bad word to say

Quick reliable and great price. Vic attended an emergency call out when my mum had a huge leak after the boiler broke, he stopped the leak and fixed the issue. We then got a great quote on replacing the boiler and he did a fantastic job, even cleaned every bit of mess up after him brilliant! We then had afterglow out again to install new radiators throughout all of upstairs, again turnt up on time done the job in the time given and great price - no faults at all which is why we always use Afterglow for any new work required. I called few numbers trying to get someone to set up our timer for the boiler in our new apartment as it did not have any brand name written on the control box and we do not have any manual for it either, Victor was really helpful as he posted a picture of the control box i sent him on a forum and he texted not long after the manual in pdf which like he suggested saved me money and time ! Excellent work from quote stage through to completion of the job. Vic's quote was clear and well itemised. Once the work was started I found Vic to be very thorough and professional, work was started on the agreed day and was completed on time with the minimum of disruption to heating and water supply throughout. At the time of quoting Vic had a full work load which meant a waiting period before he could undertake the work I needed done - experiencing his workmanship I can understand why he is in demand. Used Afterglow for the second time yesterday to have a shower fitted after last year getting them to sort out some faulty electrics in my bathroom, and I have got to say they have done another blinding job.
