Engineer called Cameron came out to my moms house yesterday afternoon reassured her he would have got the job done which he did correctly fast and professionally so thank you very much to him she is very grateful!!

I would give zero if I could. Absolutely useless, no one has any idea what the other is doing. Zero communication unless we called. Cancelled multiple times but didn’t think to let anyone know. They quoted two days and did it in half a day (after sitting in the van all morning) and actually made the pipework wonky. I know they have some good reviews, but I wouldn’t waste your money and would go somewhere else.

Attended my property, paid in full with assurance that would be refunded minus the call out if drain couldn’t be unblocked. Engineer equipment battery ran out 40 mins in to an hour long appointment and said office will call to process refund. This was 3 weeks ago now, despite several calls and emails to Sharon the manager. I’ve not had a call back, a response to my email or a refund. So broken promises and very poor service.

Engineers Wez (aka mush) and shane...fanatastic guys...came out today 12/10/2025 at 9ish. Know there job very well. After 3 days without a toilet...these guys managed to find out the blockage. Polite..clean...and explained everything to me. Reasurred me that they get it done asap for my disabled mum to use the downstairs toilet. Pls come back to fix it. We need more guys like you. Hopefully see you guys tomorow...so u guys can attack the roots that are causing the blockage. Riffat Update 28/10/2025 P.s. after 3 weeks didnt see shane or wez. Still had the same problem. Until logaan turned up. All credit goes to him. He was determined to find the blockage and sort it. He went above and beyond for my mum...even going to the get her a kamode to use...instead of the low box thing...which she couldnt stand up from coz of her arthiritis. Logaan (sorry if i spelt this wrong) but thank you so much. Honestly if it wasnt for your determination and push this wouldnt have been sorted. We need more guys like you out there. Keep up the great work. Thank you.

Massive thank you to Shane and Wes for finding the root of our problem so quickly. They were friendly, courteous and cleaned up the spillage off the floir and wiped the cupboard where residue from the pipe fell. They left us happy with the job they done so well. The man that came last night was a very nice polite person and did his best to fix my problem. Unfortunately he couldn't fix it but 10 out of 10 for trying. This afternoon, Simon turned up from Birmingham drain Services. Again, a very nice polite man and very experienced has he managed to fix my problem. Over all. Both men were amazing and I would recommend Birmingham Drains to anyone.

Shocking driving on the M6 from a van advertising Birmingham Drain Services — fitting, really, because their driving was an absolute drain on everyone’s safety. If this is how little regard they have for people’s lives on the motorway, I wouldn’t trust them anywhere near my home. Maybe focus on clearing blockages, not creating them in traffic 🤗

Lewis and Chris were fantastic. They uncovered a buried manhole, removed root clumps and relined the drain, then fixed the rodding eye point that had been damaged by a previous company. They worked quickly, neatly and explained everything they were doing. I would definitely recommend them.

Neil from clearflow drains was so helpful I spoke to him about a problem with my soil pipe to my toilet and within 2 hrs he had come round and found what the problem was and fixed the problem a really lovely man as well

Nick Fellows called when he was near, and quickly got to work. He brought all necessary equipment with him. He was friendly and communicated well. He recognised the issue with the blocked drain, and cleared the area, then showed me what the problem was! He was lovely and great at his job!

Tamworth Toilets blocked today, was having a discussion with the council on site and your engineer thought it was appropriate to swear and verbally harass myself and other members of the public.

Monday 23rd June 2025 I am very happy with the service carried out today by Ben Harrison. Not only did he call me before coming to my property. As I thought my appointment was due tomorrow Tuesday 24th June, but he was accommodating to arrive at a time suitable to me, has I wasn't home at the time. Ben was flexible enough to give me sufficient time for me to get back, because i wasn't sure my back gate was open, for him to access my drains. When he attended, he sort to look extensively at my drains, he located the problem in no time and was polite and professional to explain to me what the issue was. All of which, I appreciated. I have had a major problem with my drains being blocked I am a disabled vulnerable person, and unable to leave my home I've had different members of the team out to try and resolve the problem they have all been a bunch of lovely lads who have been very kind and curious and professional but the star of the show today has been Steven he was determined to sort the problem out and bless him he did I'm very grateful to you all especially Steven you are an asset to the company . I would recommend Birmingham drains to anyone because .They try there best to resolve any issues. Thankyou very much.

Called Birmingham Drain Services as we had water pooling in our garden. They arrived within 2 hours, found the problem, removed a collapsed section of pipework and replaced it. Great service and I would highly recommend.

Twice BCC have sent this company and both times there workers have used every excuse to not do any job, they openly say there not qualified or don't have tools. 0/10 complete frauds. contacted a friends company and was sorted In 10 minutes. So why do the council use a sub standard contractor who is obviously charging us for nothing. I also doubt any of them are actual plumbers or drainage workers pure frauds.

Came out 8 hours late , at night , as it was dark I didn't realise they had left the lid off the manhole until the next day when my son fell down it and was badly hurt. I rang the company to explain the situation and to let them know they need to come out and put it back on safely... the owner had a really bad attitude and said how do you know it was us , call the council , I'm not sending someone out when we dont even know it's our fault . No apology didn't even ask if my son is ok. Was down right rude and put the phone down on me . Disgusting behaviour. Funnily enough noone has ever fallen down it before until they came out and left the lid off !

Absolutely disgusting a couple younger lads came out on the job I had to pop out and trusted them for 15 minutes and came back they had gone and the next morning I discovered that from my bathroom my aftershave was all missing and nobody has been there but them so it's blatantly them pair of cowboys because they had the drainage hose going out from the bathroom window

Had a tree removed which had grown out of the drain. The two chaps that came sorted it swiftly, took all debris with them, cleaned and were a pleasure to deal with. Thankyou very much.

If I could add 0 I would, as they charged me £120 and never drained the manhole they said they can’t do it and didn’t even refund the money. Avoid them please

Demanded payment in full two days before agreed work which felt very irregular and not in line with the previous building work I have had completed. I offered half before and half on immediate completion. They refused and I cancelled on grounds of bad faith. They then proceeded to point out if I was buying something on line or in a shop I would have to pay before which is of course very different. All felt very odd. Shame as had been happy with the report and quote but refuse to be treated in this way.

Near Miss at Morrison Petrol station Rubery today Saturday 10/02/2024 time 1300Hours apr. Van chose to go wrong way around Petrol station coming from behind me after leaving kiosk in between me and park cars at inappropriate speed just to queue to get air.or wash van?.

Commercial and domestic drainage company

Impatient driver bumped me with his van side mirror whilst I was trying to put my child in her car seat - instead of having a little bit of patience with oncoming traffic. Didn't stop or even take note. I rang their offices to be told "oh sorry, there are 2 vans that have been traced to that area so unless you have the registration number, there's nothing I can do". Only after I had a rant was I told that she will bring it to the managers attention. Honestly disgusting!

AVOID AT ALL COST.. these people are liars, they made us wait 2 days to unblock my drain that had poo running in my garden when they turned up they couldn’t be bothered to move 2 small items to access the drain so instead wrote in a report that we had things blocking access when they got called to do the job again they did not answer 4 calls then after they answered said it was going to be tomorrow morning. Lazy and unreliable company to have as Birmingham city council contractors. I will be making a formal complaint as the piece of cloth that was covering the drain access is all on cctv.

Not a great company judging by the dangerous way their drivers use the roads.

New Manhole cover needed on driveway to replace cracked one. Brilliant job done workmen very pleasant and helpful and office staff very helpful. Finished job and left everything very tidy and clean. Would definitely recommend. (Staffordshire)

COWBOYS 🤠 booked for 19.00 arrived 22.45. Took one look at the drain and "na not my job" and gone. Fitter was far to clean and tidy for a plumber. Just in it for the call out fees. Never again will they come to my home. Bloody useless.

Visit one was misleading. Visit two from a lovely young chap (yellow beanie hat) who diagnosed the problem straight away, provided a temporary fix until a plumber can attend to fix the work which wasn’t completed properly 7 years ago. So grateful. Thank you 🙏😀

Awful company. Left me with no running water for 7 days after working on a neighbours property. Also another neighbour who was disabled was affected by this. Company didn’t even advise any of the properties they were turning off our water as required as it is a shared pipe. Awful customer service, when I rang to inform them of the issue they claimed to never have touched our water, despite it being on a shared waterline. Rude, dismissive and argumentative. I would avoid like the plague. Seven Trent water, ANSA and the plumber all concluded that it was the fault of Birmingham drainage services. I Had to call out my own plumber to fix the issue as this company just blocked my number and refused to deal with it, even shouting at me down the phone.

Paid for a survey which subsequent engineers who have visited say is inaccurate. Also paid for an unblocking service and was charged £100 even though they were unsuccessful. They wanted me to instead pay £700 for all the work on their survey, but when questioned about what specifically would fix my blocked drain they were unable to answer and have now stopped responding to my emails or answering my calls. Con artists.

They do turn up and the cost is exactly as quoted. They can be difficult to get hold of, but they are generally well-organised and the engineers know what they are doing.

We experienced an eruption of raw sewage in our front garden on a Friday morning. We called the local drainage service, who were unable to help, and referred it on to Severn Trent Water. After two visits, they were unable to sort out the problem. I then contacted Birmingham Drain services, and though it was now a Sunday, an operative arrived, in the dark and in the rain, and sorted the problem within the hour. His name was Jamie, and his cheerfulness and professionalism is a credit to the company. An excellent service all round.

Unreliable..didn't turn up at arranged time..no phone call to say they were running late..so I've booked another company..

Carried out a Drain Survey on a bungalow property my elderly parents where planning on purchasing. Came on the day they said they would, completed a thorough survey and provided the report within expected time scale, price as quoted. Would definitely recommend them.

We hired Birmingham Drain Services for a Structural Drainage Survey of a house we are planning to buy. This survey was supposed to cover all drainage pipes on the property but due to a miscommunication, only the pipes are the rear of the property were surveyed on the first visit. When this was pointed out they sent out the surveyor for a second visit, no charge to resolve things. Can't say fairer than that. Mistakes will occasionally happen but its how companies deal with them that matters to me and BDS dealt with it well.

Turned up at 7.30 pm when called out as an emergency at 8 am. Walked in without a mask, refused to move a washing machine and well challenged went off with an attitude saying I've got that attitude we'll leave you blocked. One to avoid if you value your health.

A shame. They charged me for one hour of job and been unabled to solve the problem. Another company came the day after and finished the job in less than 10 minutes.

Worst service ever. Got messed around for over a week. Jumped into neighbours garden without permission broke their slab and drain cover. Chased them for 5 days for a quote after they came out yet still no joy got another company in who came and sorted the problem within 12 hrs. Avoid these lot.

Hate writing bad reviews but here goes.....I had an appointment booked with them for a Friday at 9:30am. Rushed back home to get there. Nobody showed up and then at 11:30 I got a call from them asking if we could postpone it. Bank holiday weekend meant that Tuesday at 8am was the next time. Tuesday 8am nobody showed up. I phoned. I got through to an out of hours man who asked me to call back in 15 minutes. Then when I called there was no answer. I got another drainage company to do it. Ironically when the new worker started the job at 10:30 on the Tuesday, this company finally showed up. Don't know what they're like normally but this wasn't good at all.
