This is the best experience I have had of a decorating firm. Liam and his colleague Nick worked extremely hard for 4 weeks on our 1911 house. They repaired extensive rot in windowsills, using a magic resin compound, they taped all windowpanes before painting, they used dust collecting gear so there was very little dust around, and finally cleaned all the windows before leaving. In addition they repaired faulty window locks and sealed leaking gutters which had contributed to the rot. They were pleasant and courteous to deal with. I would highly recommend them.

There was a lot of prep required due to a poor plastering job, but he did an amazing job of filling/sanding so it looked absolutely flawless! Liam has completed an ambitious programme of exterior decoration of a late Victorian detached house with large amounts of timberwork including a long wooden balcony. This balcony , along with some of the other woodwork, needed extensive remedial work before painting. His work has been excellent. He clearly maintains high standards and takes a pride in his work. Throughout the duration of the project he was always punctual and reliable. He kept us informed about progress, consulted us regularly and offered alternative solutions when problems were encountered. He left the property clean and tidy at the end of each day and he worked impressively hard and almost without a break from 8 until 4. The material he uses are of high quality. Liam is a true professional. I was anxious about finding the correct person but I am now so happy with the work completed I am glad I chose Liam. Liam has just completed our living room hall stairs and landing and the attention to detail on the hand rail and spindles is incredible. Liam knowledge of the products and techniques to fix damaged areas sets him above the rest. Liam was consistent throughout the 3 weeks, being on time and updating us regularly, and he took consideration for our need to use the house and tidied up every evening we literally didn’t know he was here but he does like his biscuits! We reconstructed the upstairs of our house with walls being taken down and new walls erected. Vinny came in and redecorated the hallway and upstairs rooms. He coordinated everybody else involved and communicated at every point. Quality of work is excellent and the woodwork in particular has been given a new lease of life. Liam is a highly skilled decorator…a perfectionist who shows great attention to detail. He went above and beyond to decorate our newly renovated home. He made all walls good again after the plasterer we used left some shocking work, no job was too big and was happy to put in the extra days and hours to make it perfect for us. He made sure all doors, floors, fixtures and fittings were covered whilst decorating, and used extra padded floor protection whilst using scaffolding for our high ceilings. We were very grateful to be able to trust Liam with a key and in our home whilst we were overseas for 6 weeks. He had great communication and updated us regularly with photos. We always call Liam either to do the bigger jobs or advise on any minor touch ups we are able to do ourselves. He’s a perfectionist so you know the attention to detail is going to be spot on, he is so knowledgeable about all things paint and prep. He’s clean and tidy and his work is always done to a very high standard.
Liam redecorated the interior of our entire house over a 5 week period, the quality of his work is outstanding and we highly recommend him. He follows a very traditional method of sanding back, filling, first coat and then sand and fill again before the second coat, so that the end result really is ‘tickety-boo’!. He works in a very tidy and efficient manner and the amazing ‘hoover’ machine that he attaches to his sander means that there is no dust blowing around the house. He was very good at working around us, as we moved furniture around the house to clear space for him to work. On top of all of this he is a really nice chap and his passion for doing the best job was evident. Note for his next customers - he like a nice cup of coffee and really enjoys home made cake!

Liam restored and redecorated external woodwork including sash windows, doors and fascias. He completed the same work on a neighbour’s house last year and we were really impressed.. He did a great job on our house; work was thorough, he was very polite and considerate to us and our neighbours, and we found him to be completely trustworthy. Liam is an extremely professional decorator. An added bonus is he’s a really nice chap to have around, it was a pleasure dealing with a tidy, polite & reliable tradesman fora change. A very rare find nowadays. His timekeeping meant you could almost set your watch on his arrival. The job took 4 weeks and was a complete external redecoration of all the external buildings. Liam uses an electric sander with an automatic dust collection system. A large investment and maybe why the quality & finish of his work was so high. He also kept us informed of what his plans were & where he was going to be working, so as not to disturb us and keep any inconvenience to a minimum. Liam is an expert and professional painter and decorator who goes the extra mile to deliver the very best results. If he finds a problem, a bit of wood rot or a missing bead from a window frame he'll be on to the solution and fixing it straight away - I wouldn't hesitate to recomend him.
We have just employed Liam (LJV) to redecorate the interior of our 3 storey town house in Winchester and I can confirm what you will read in the rest of these reviews - that he is a superbly talented and professional craftsman who is a credit to his trade. His personable nature and politeness over a six week period when my wife and I were constantly in and out of the house, meant that we never felt any intrusion or inconvenience during the work. Nothing was ever too much trouble for Liam and he always kept us fully informed and involved in the planning of the work. The end results are quite magnificent and reflect the painstaking and meticulous preparation of each room’s surfaces before any paint tin was even opened. He looked after our belongings as though they were his own, and we had no issue in providing him with a house key whilst we were away for a week. It’s fair to say that we will miss his cheery face at 8 a.m. on weekday mornings, and we both wholeheartedly wish him the very best in his future business. One of Winchester’s finest!

We were attracted to Liam as a possible decorator by his branding. A simple but very effective logo showed an eye for style and professionalism. He responded to an email quickly with a site visit and quote. His personal approach on discussing the project left me confident in commissioning him to undertake the work. He undertook the initial management of other trades, scaffolding, roofer, and carpenter, who all undertook their specialisms efficiently. My approach was in the autumn, the work was the exterior decoration of rendering and refurbishment of white painted timber which I wished to retain. A deposit was paid to get a date for the following summer. A call reassured me in advance of only a weeks delay due to a very wet summer. The work was carried out over a two week period with all trades dovetailed efficiently as required. Preparation of all surfaces was thorough and included power hosing the render, the site was cleaned at the end of each day. Redecoration was completed with undercoats and required number of top coats. With the scaffolding down a short return visit allowed decoration of small areas obscured when erect. He has done a good job, kept me advised throughout on any issues and has totally rejuvenated a property that was well overdue some tlc. I am happy to recommend his work, personality and work ethic to any future client.

Liam has just completed a fantastic exterior redecoration of our Period Mid Victorian House. His quote was, as ever, very competitive and the quality of his workmanship above and beyond that of any decorator I have previously experienced. He started on time, organised the scaffolding company and a carpenter. He tackled areas of rot and undertook repairs with new hardwood and specialist resins to window frames and fascias with great skill. He kept me fully informed of the very reasonable additional costs and options throughout. He was concerned to create a finish that would last and applied multiple coats of primer, undercoats and finish to surfaces that had previously been painted over by others in years gone by. He was careful with security, and we were able to leave him to lock up at the end of the day when we were away. Already we are booking in the next jobs for him. A pleasure to have around and he clearly loves the work. Top quality and a great price. I would encourage you to listen to his expert advice, trust him to do a good job and see the results. Liam has just finished decorating a living room and a bedroom for us. Prior to painting, he repaired cracked and uneven plaster and sanded walls, ceiling, and woodwork using a dust free process. His paint finish was excellent as was his overall workmanship and he has great attention to detail as well as being very tidy, on time every day and helpful in choosing colours and finish. We had booked Liam to return to us when he could and he has just complete 3 weeks of hard work in the sun carrying out major repair work to our very rotten window frames and then painted all the soffits, window frames and and of the exterior woodwork and varnished the front doors. We are very happy with the work and so relieved that Liam and his recommended carpenter could carry out this work before too long as it was desperately needed. As before, a top class professional job, always on time, always neat and tidy and a pleasure to have working on our home. We are hoping Liam can return to carry our further decorating work soon. We have used LJV decorating for a full house refurb and are over the moon with the end result. They have been punctual, professional and to a very high standard. Each room has been transformed whilst being kept clean and tidy each day for us to be able to continue as normal with our family life (including dogs and a young child). The finish is of a picture quality and if you like your straight lines then you won’t be disappointed! LJV have recommended paint colours and finishes which have turned out to be better than our original thoughts. A highly recommended company with amazing results. Difficult to recommend Liam enough - he has transformed the look and feel of the property. His meticulous attention to detail in preparation and painting produces a very high quality result. Liam did a fantastic job on two wallpapered feature walls we wanted. One in the lounge one in our bedroom. Both look fantastic and have transformed our new build house. We couldn’t be happier. He was on time both days, was very friendly and even brought his own coffee.... he has all of the lasted equipment to make as little mess as possible. He communicated daily with family to ensure the smooth running of our home. Liam has just completed the redecoration of my 4 bedroom town house, the property needed top to toe decoration, Liam has been completely professional and extremely helpful, from talking me through the different paint options to explaining what work needed to be done. Liam has arrived promptly each morning and made sure he left everything tidy when he left. I can’t thank Liam enough for all his hard work, not sure he even stopped for lunch most days!! After painting my own home for years, I thought I’d try a professional on my kitchen to see if there was a difference between what I can achieve and what is possible, and well put it this way Liam will be getting a call back to do the rest of my house as there was no mess no tracks just a smooth flat finish even after years of polly filler abuse it’s was like the kitchen had been freshly plastered and painted again even though had just been painted. Now to find an excuse to change room colours again and call Liam up.

Very pleased with the exterior work he done on my windows, frames, fascias and back door. Lots of prep work (as explained when he came to look before quoting) but next to no mess left behind. All the right equipment, a good knowledge of materials/paint but most importantly a keen eye for detail and has a strong sense of pride in his work and therefore reputation. Only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because I am waiting for the end of the month for him to come and wallpaper my hallway and stairs. Easily approachable and professional throughout every dealing I have had with him. Would recommend to friends and family.
Just received keys for are two bedroom house and needed the whole place decorated asap so we could move in. Liam was referred to me by a friend.
