Wessex Locksmiths

Henry & Nick saved the day! Lovely gentlemen and got the job done 👍👍

Fantastic, friendly and helpful service. Contacted Wessex Locksmiths for help, with locks at a commercial premises, they really went the extra mile, nothing was a problem for them, and reasonably priced, highly recommend!!

Super friendly, realistic pricing. What's not to like. I needed a second key for my motorhome. Fiat wanted in excess of £300. Martin wanted £60. This is for a key with a chip embedded in it and is not something all key cutting places can do. Well Wessex can do it because it is not just a key cutting place though that is certainly on the menu. No, this is a proper locksmiths, the like of which are few and far between. If you are in this part of the world and need keys cut, door locks, safes etc etc. This is where you should head. So grateful to Martin.

Amazing service very prompt gave me great advice fair price got me out of a scrape would highly recommend. Staff very friendly

Supplied a complete replacement kit for a bathroom lock which was about 25 years old at a very reasonable cost They also supplied spare key fobs for a Ford and Audi cars Price was much much less than the dealers quoted. Quick service and professional locksmiths Thank you

Wessex Locksmiths first class services. Sorted my car key and recoding no problem. Great price and would highly recommend this company to anyone. Thank you so much for the customer service and quick turnaround.

Fantastic service, had an issue with a car key not remotely working, with in a 15 minute window a new key was sorted. Fantastic staff and price.

The unlock on my van fob wasn’t working the guys at Wessex locksmith had it sorted in under 20 minutes, fantastic service and very well priced! Thanks

Very helpful staff. My go to place now for anything lock orientated.

Brilliant service. I needed a new key cut and coded for my car. Quote was a third of what the main dealer wanted and the service was second to none. I like the fact that my new key is actually better than the original. I would highly recommend this business for all your lock and security needs. Well stocked shop as well. Independent businesses like this should be supported.

Amazing helpful and had great stock

I’ve used Wessex Locksmith twice recently and both times their service has been impeccable. They’re always incredibly helpful and go above and beyond. Would highly recommended.

Wow, wonderful quick service all completed in no time at all thank you ☺️

Excellent service from Lee. Highly recommend. Thank you for your prompt and caring service.

Excellent service and on time to get the requested job done.

Great service, new keys cut quickly and work perfectly.

Absolutely brilliant service, I went in with a car key I couldn't use and came out with a brand new one that works perfectly. The main dealer wouldn't have been as quick or as cheap. Realy friendly as well. Highly recommended.

I lost my car keys a few days before Christmas and didn’t have a spare. Also, my car door locked. Wessex locksmiths were so efficient and professional . I reported it about 4pm and 24 hours later they had a new key cut and came to my home and sorted. Lee also sorted a couple of issues on my car that were over and above his remit. I cannot recommend enough. Sam was also very helpful.

Excellent service. Replacment Car keys cut and electronically set up while I waited, and quite a bit cheaper than the main dealer price.

Professional job , done very quickly . Really nice guys . Would highly recommend them . Thankyou so much .

I used these guys to cut a key for a lock from an old 1930’s bungalow interior door and to try and fix another lock that had literally fallen apart, ( Simon ) I think was his name was very helpful from the moment I spoke to him explaining what was needed and the expected cost. Picked up both locks and they both now work perfectly. I would have no hesitation recommending this company, very professional.

Great service from Steve. Needed a key straightened and to get another cut. No hesitation, he was quick, efficent & Friendly. Thanks Steve.

Really helpful staff. Thankyou.

These guys were absolutely brilliant. Saving the day releasing a bike from a locked bike rack on our car after the keys had gone missing 4hrs from home. Not only was the bike unscathed (and usable for the weekend event) but they were able to make us new keys & put the lock mechanism back together so the rack is fully functional for our return journey home. They fitted us in 5 mins before closing and stayed late until everything was sorted. They were super professional & efficient and all for an amazingly reasonable price, with lots of smiles, good humour (relieving a stressful situation) & a clear enjoyment and love for what they do. Thank you. - We couldn’t say it enough!

Good service

Needed a spare 'intelligent ' key for my car and Wessex sorted this for me brilliantly! Thank you for your great service!

Efficient and helpful service.

Simply wonderful staff, helpful, excellent service! Easy to park!

Quick and helpful thanks!!!

I just can't fault Wessex Locksmith on Abbotsbury Road. Two days ago my lock broke unexpectedly, leaving me trapped out of the house. I was particularly concerned as I had a very small chihuahua pup in the house who tends to annoy my older, larger dogs. I was concerned for his safety without my supervision. When I explained this to Wessex Locksmith they came immediately and were here in five minutes. He fixed the lock and diligently filed down a new part so that it fitted correctly. This young man (I can't remember his name but he is tall and blond) was so kind, polite, thorough and professional. He is a real asset to the team. I have to say I have used this firm four times now over the years and they are definitely the one I always try first. They are fast, efficient, polite, professional and with great 'old school' 'proper' ways. They are also reasonably priced, compared with most places. Thanks again.

By far one of the most professional companies I've ever had the pleasure of coming across. I emailed wessex locksmiths on a Sunday, very late, and by 9am the next morning (Monday), I had all the answers to all questions I'd asked, and even extras to ones I didn't. The Locksmith, Sam, is very knowledgeable about what he has to do, and answered every question I had with ease and confidence. Sam made a stressful situation very much less stressful. The work is to a very high standard; the lock is new, but it looks like it was always there. Sam is truly a perfectionist and loves his job which shows. Thank you All the best.

Engineer was a pleasant chap who fixed our door quickly and efficiently after arriving on time. He clearly enjoys his job! Door operates better than ever. We would definitely use Wessex Locksmiths again.

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff, and best value around. It's amazing just how many key types these guys can cut. They also go above and beyond to answer questions and order in parts for you. Will recommend and be back!

5 star service from the team at wessex locksmiths they made two new keys for my ford focus. Would highly recommend them for all your car key or house key problems 😊😊😊

Young Lee, cut a new ignition key, set up a new door fob, and to my surprise cut a special deadlock key, which I haven't been able to get elsewhere. Once the keys were cut, Lee popped out to my van and checked everything thing worked . All done in 20 minutes, and half what I had been quoted earlier. Super service, thanks lads. Highly recommended

Call out to Portland today for a jammed lock, fast, friendly, efficient, knowledgeable service at a fair price! Thanks Sam !

Very knowledgeable and helpful, I will definitely be going back

Excellent service

I cannot express enough about the superb service this independent business gives you ! I highly recommend them for all your locksmith needs. Going Above and beyond, for customer care and service, so experienced and such good prices . Thanks again guys .Lee in particular for his Tenacity! 5 🌟 indeed .

I'm so glad I used this company to install locks in my new house. Sam assessed my house so he could order the correct size locks and he was very polite and informative when explaining the difference between 1, 2 and 3 star locks. I chose the 3 star locks as I wanted to make sure my insurance company couldn't refuse a claim if someone ever broke in. A few days later Lee visited and installed the locks. Lee was also amazing! He was super nice and installed the locks quickly. He even adjusted the hinges on a set of double doors that rubbed together when they closed. I could see that the locks Lee installed were much thicker and higher quality than the originals and the new keys were also a lot thicker. All of the locks work so much more smoothly than the originals. They turn very easily and there's no movement on any of the doors if you jostle the doorknobs when the doors are closed and locked. It's also so much easier to luck and unlock the new cylinders. And the adjustment of the double doors is incredible - I no longer have to lift the door to lock it :-) If I had purchased some cheap locks from a hardware shop they would have been cheaper, but they would never have worked as smoothly (or been as secure) as the '3 star' locks I purchased from Wessex Locksmiths. And these locks will last the entire time I own the house. Highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic went in here with a French key for my boat and he made me 2 keys. Nothing was a problem this place is a gem for Weymouth.. Thank you for all your help

Absolutely perfect. Perfect Gents and really helped me with a difficult house key. Thoroughly recommend

Great personal service, will happily recommend to all.

Amazing company. Having recently bought a refurbished 1939 piano, I struggled to find a replacement key to lock the lid ,as the original had been lost. It became some what of a obsession, because it soon became clear that it not a standard piano lock or key. I tried many keys! To my delight not only did Wessex locksmiths (A wonderful chap called Nik) reply by return email, new keys were made within a day of receiving the lock, and sent back very quickly. I also got a follow up email, just to check the lock & key worked ok. Nik also made the lock keys look the same age!!! What magic!!! Has made me , and my stunning piano very very happy!!! Thanks Nik!!!

Excellent service going the extra mile.

Excellent service

Good service lots of free advice 1 lock 4 keys £20

Excellent service very helpful

Fast, skilled service. Easy to open an account ! A traditional locksmith with great attention to detail- and one can usually park outside !!

After a recommendation I contacted these guys via their website (on Thursday) in regards of a new remote car key as I only have one for my vehicle which has being playing up some time now and was basically on it last legs. Had a response with minutes asking my car reg to work out a quote. It was also mentioned that potentially my old car key could be refurbed so i would have a spare key moving forward for the vehicle if it was fixable. The quote I recieved (within half an hour of initial contact) for a new remote was £80 less than the quote I receieved early from the cars manufacturer's local dealership garage so I thought it was worth a try. I rang the shop Friday morning to check availability on getting booked in, made an appointment that afternoon, both keys were sorted while I waited, which was just over half an hour. Both keys in total cost me £50 less than the quote I got for one new key from the dealership garage. No brainer - I highly recommended these guys if you want a friendly, knowledgeable, quick and cost effective solution for any locksmith tasks. Massive thanks again guys, Tracie

Just great. So helpful and was served by a real gentleman. Would recommend highly

Amazing fast response (20 minutes from call) to remove a broken key in our front door. Courteous, informative and also adjusted hinges.

Top guys. Really went the extra mile and pulled out all the stops to fix my broken Skoda key while I was down in Weymouth on holiday. Highly recommend them.

Brilliant service

Have used this local firm on 3 occasions, 2 being somewhat urgent. They are always extremely efficient, knowledgeable and friendly and reasonable with their pricing and in short, a pleasure to deal with.

We had our locks changed due to moving house. Fast efficient service. And have used in the past. Very happy.

Good service

I've had hundreds of keys cut here over the last 20 years, I've had door keys and car keys cut, I've bought locks and had a safe key made as the original was lost, which was a challenge as the safe was really old and the key was very unique. I look after a lot of properties and when i need a key I will not go anywhere else. Today I'm going in to get a new door lock and seven keys for an HMO, all I have is photo of the original lock, but I know they will solve my problem. What tickles me, is I see lots of other locksmiths use them aswell.

Very pleasant staff and efficient. I would highly recommend them if you want a good reliable service

I would highly recommend Wessex Locksmiths. They repaired the chip in my car key fob. They offered me the least expensive option of repairing rather than going straight to replacing the key. Very friendly staff. Will definitely be using them in future.

Great service with knowledgeable staff!

Great a lot of knowledge

Good range of key blanks and good prices. Friendly staff.

One of our drivers accidentally locked the deadlock key in the back of the van and Dan was so prompt, helpful and professional. Hopefully this will never happen again but if it does, we know who to call.

Very good staff know what they are doing well recommended

Just been here about 20 mins as I forgot the key to my roof box. These guys were brilliant and helped me out massively. They were super quick and able to provide me with a spare key. I thought the price they charged was very reasonable, so much so I let them keep the change. Saved my holiday, cheers.

Great guy

Fantastic service and turn around time... After calling five locksmiths, Wessex Locksmiths were the quickest to come to our aid, with others quoting upto 24hrs! Would definitely recommend, Thank you 👍🏻

Very helpful and friendly

The men were very very helpful.

🔑🔐🔑🔐

I needed a locksmith urgently as my elderly father couldn't be reached and had left his keys inside the lock. When I explained, two men turned up within five minutes, got the door open and helped me without hesitation with what turned out to be a tragic situation. They were efficient, professional, kind and absolute gentlemen. They refused to take their fee, as is their policy in these circumstances, and demonstrated that Wessex Locksmiths have integrity, family values and are a credit to Weymouth.

Good fun with the boys

Very quick accurate key cutting and friendly people run this shop as well as being knowledgeable. I always use them if I require the service they provide, and have done so since it opened. Sincerely yours Michael Anthony Carter
