We chose Taming Mother Nature to redesign both our front and back gardens, and it has been an excellent experience from start to finish. What really stood out from the very first meeting was that they were the only company to recommend getting a topological survey carried out by an independent third party before doing anything else. Our garden was extremely hilly and sloping, and this immediately showed us how serious and professional they were, and that they genuinely wanted to work in our best interests rather than just rush into the project. Will, the Managing Director, worked very closely with us to create a vision for the garden that incorporated different levels and zones, making the most of the space and landscape. He really understood what we were trying to achieve and translated that into a design that felt both ambitious and practical. The quality of the work was superb throughout. The team always turned up on time, were highly professional and incredibly thorough. It was also clear that they regularly went the extra mile, particularly with some of the harder architectural elements of the build, to ensure the job was done properly and to the highest standard. We are absolutely delighted with the end result. Just as importantly, the aftercare and ongoing service have also been excellent. As with any new garden, some things naturally work better than others over time, but we feel very confident knowing we have a knowledgeable and responsive team helping the garden evolve into exactly what we hoped it would become. The crew working on the project were fantastic to have around — professional, hardworking, respectful, and clearly passionate about what they do. We now also use Taming Mother Nature for monthly maintenance, which has been really valuable because it feels like we are all continuing to work towards the same long-term vision for the garden. Choosing a landscaping company for a project of this scale is definitely an act of faith. You are trusting someone else’s vision and expertise with a major investment in your home. For us, though, it has been entirely the right decision. We’ve had a genuinely positive experience and achieved a fantastic outcome. I would be very happy to recommend Taming Mother Nature.
Very happy with the service we are getting from TMN. The guys are very good at just knowing what needs doing and getting on with it, also very knowledgeable about all things gardening and great with giving advice. We also like that we can have the same gardeners (Conor and Geoff) come regularly every visit, as they have got to know our garden & what we want to achieve
Had a quote for "Full garden tidy up to include all aspects of garden maintenance - weeding / mowing / blowing / edging / pruning / shaping / turning over of borders / strimming /Jet-washing of hard standing areas /Dead heading - £694 + VAT". I was expecting a team to arrive after I paid the deposit but only 2 men for 7 hours delivered some weeding, removal of dead shrubs and maybe 3/4 of dead leaves in the garden. Mentioned they would be back to complete rear and front gardens in a week. Prompted them after I had not heard and Will ("The Director") called to say the job is done and wants full payment for the job. Became aggressive in then issued a letter of action in an email for full payment or otherwise legal action. He also mentioned to me he is a legal expert on UK consumer law. Very poor experience all round.
Great company and very respectful men working for it - did a very good job cutting extremely high hedges , emptying garden rubbish and taking it away as well as lawn cutting and spreading compost. 5 star recommendation

Will provided excellent advice and the trees they selected and planted have already created instant privacy, which will only improve over the coming years. Mark and Luke were precise with the planting and left everything tidy once the job was done. Highly recommend their services and will happily use them again for future landscaping work.

We have a large communal area which had been neglected by previous contractors and Will and his team came and spent a few days removing weeds and clearing the most overgrown areas. They now come fortnightly to maintain and continue to clear the rest of the garden. They do an excellent job, always with a smile. We couldn't be happier with Taming Mother Nature and highly recommend.

EDIT June 2025 - The team were a “no show” today. I think the company has changed hands & their somewhat rude new owner William informed me less than 2 hours before arrival that they simply weren’t coming, with no suggested new date. I didn’t ask, but was told one of the team had “Hayfever”, which seems slightly unusual for a gardener. They also raised their prices by 40% this year, for less work. Or none, in this unfortunate case. I suggested a fix which was met with a call from William who wouldn’t let me finish a sentence, much less apologise for work ghosted when it had been booked in for a month. It’s such a shame when a decent company fails to keep up standards. Their customer care & timely communication is especially lacking now. I’d suggest caution, here. ********** Highly recommend the team at Taming Mother Nature - I have two good sized gardens which needed a great deal of work and I got a same day response and quick appointment for a very decent price. On the day it was a team of three who were all excellent, professional, friendly and knowledgeable. They needed no supervision at all to get everything done - they clearly know what they’re doing and are a great team if you need any advice or assistance. They clearly pride themselves on a high standard of customer service and have great commitment to delivering a top tier result. The team leader in particular was very personable and went the extra mile to make sure they had helped in every way they could. The company clearly prizes customer service & efficiency, & has invested a lot in all the kit needed including tree trimmers (I don’t think that’s the technical term…) and that industrial spray-stuff (weed killer?) that has made such a huge difference. Within 4-5 hours they had completely transformed the gardens from a wilderness to my new favourite space in our home. I was home but as they’re so quick I needn’t have been - no one needed to come inside which, if you need a gardening service or maintenance team while you’re out of town (or as a landlord) is very handy to know. Very good value for a team of 3 very helpful and efficient guys who couldn’t do enough to make sure everything was thought of and are all clearly passionate about their work. They made sure the finished result was up to a top standard, much higher than my own - these guys know gardening. My neighbours are already asking for the company’s number for their own bookings. Really pleased, not only with the work and results but the speed. The booking was made the day I enquired and was completed within a couple of weeks. A job I thought would take three days took this team about 4-5 hours and they couldn’t have been more polite or friendly. They even helped me re-pot some indoor plants as a side-quest! A knowledgeable, efficient & professional team with more kit than I even knew existed & high quality materials. Definitely first choice for those looking for a complete makeover and a great resource for landlords. The 2-3 week booking-to-completion time was most helpful as good, experienced & properly kitted out gardeners are hard to find in the summer months. Great job, lads! Thanks.

Will and his helpful team did a makeover of our poorly looking garden. New lawn, clearing rubbish from corners. Edging and advising. Removing rubbish. Left the space tidy and organised. Following some building work, we needed a new patio and took the opportunity to tidy up some other parts of the garden. Will and Dan were excellent in helping us to understand the project and what we could achieve and Tommy and the team were terrific in carrying out the work quickly, efficiently and without issue. This is the second time we have used Taming Mother Nature and would definitely recommend.
The team updated my rear garden so that it was low maintenance and can actually be used. I will be using them again for some work in my front garden. I also use the maintenance team for monthly gardening needs. I would highly recommend them for any gardening work that may need doing.

TMN were very professional and the site team were excellent from start to finish... The management team were also very responsive and advised on any changes we wanted to make as the build went on along... The site team constantly checked with us on any particular look to the garden and once completed cleaned away the entire site as new.

Called TMN when I bought my house as the garden was a mess and had no character. Will came straight away,, had some great ideas on what could be done, was quick to quote and beat the other 3 prices I received. They turned it around fast and the results were amazing. I've since recommended TMN to friends and family and they are all also very impressed with the service. I wouldn't recommend anyone else!
Can highly recommend TMN. Our garden and patio were completely redesigned with full consultation at every step of the way. Attention to detail with all building works and a great bunch of guys. Tree works also completed and replanting of new hedges and replaced fences all to high standard.
Their van undertook and cut us up on the A3, coming within inches of taking off the front bumper and then proceeded to bully the car in front until they moved, also inches from their bumper. I can't say anything about their landscaping, but if their approach to to site safety is anything like their driving then they are dangerous. Caught on dash cam too
