Dr Warmth

After hiring someone else to replace a leaking toilet, I kept noticing a faint sewer smell. The plumber I called to double-check things immediately noticed the wax ring hadn’t sealed properly and the flange was slightly cracked. He replaced both using better-quality parts, added a flange repair ring, and reset the toilet with care. The smell vanished overnight. What impressed me most was his honesty no scare tactics, just straightforward assessment and a solid fix. I wish I had called him first.

Every time we ran the washing machine, one particular wall vibrated like a drum. It wasn’t damaging anything, but the noise was enough to wake someone upstairs. A plumber came out, identified the problem as loose mounting on the water hammer arrestor inside the wall, and suggested a clever workaround that didn’t require cutting open drywall. He installed an external arrestor near the valve, tested it, and the vibration disappeared. It was a small but meaningful fix, and I appreciated how he thought creatively instead of defaulting to invasive work. Very thoughtful, very effective.
