I have just had an air source heat pump fitted last week. Firstly the company was totally professional and reliable for start to finish. I count be happier a firm that "does what it says on the tin", which is a rare thing. Everything was calculated, laid out and delivered just as said. I also have massive praise for the staff who did the fitting, just very efficient, friendly, tidy, I actually miss them, Andrew Albie Steve, Paul. A long time ago I had a heat pump fitted when they were just coming out and it was a disaster. I wasted a lot of money and was still cold. I was very sceptical about going down the same route again. However, despite it only just being fitted I am confident that this will work, be trouble free and affordable. I say this because a friend also used WDS to fit their system and was very happy, because what they said would happen did in fact happen and that I am seeing the data on the apps live time. Thank you WDS. UPDATE just got through winter, system worked well, house warm and plenty of hot water. Trouble free. Will update on costings after one year and plan to have batteries.

I've had a brilliant service from WDS who fitted a heat pump. From the initial design, to the work being done and the final check, everything has been brilliant. They've answered all my queries, explained what they were doing and why, and kept me up to date with everything going on. When they were at my house they were very respectful of the house and tried to keep disruption to a minimum and cleaned up the mess afterwards. Would highly recommend WDS.

We had a heat pump installed by WDS in the summer of 2025. We now have a lovely cosy home that doesn't cost the earth to heat. WDS took a significant amount of time to survey our house (early 1900 barn conversion) to perform heat loss and radiator sizing calculations to ensure positive outcomes. Since installed in summer they came back out in the winter to optimise and explain how to run efficiently. They are a very professional and highly skilled firm that I highly recommend.

The process coordinated by Gwyn went brilliantly, including under floor heating. I had a problem of my own making a little while ago and WDS were still as committed to superb customer service 15 months on , solving rhe problemfor me quicklyand efficiently.I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them.

Jim took the time to explain the system in detail, answered all my questions, and tailored the installation to suit my home’s needs. The installation by Dean and Adam was thorough and efficient. All work was completed to a neat and excellent standard - there was a high attention to detail at every level. Lewis, who project managed our install, was always available to answer questions and was accommodating with the timeframe and factors beyond our control, as we were fully renovating. I would absolutely recommend WDS Green Energy to anyone considering a renewable heating system. Rarely in today’s day and age do I come across a company who exceeds expectations. From the outset WDS were a breath of fresh air, meticulous in the design, methodical in the execution; and nothing was rushed! All of the staff I had contact with, Siôn, Chris, Gwyn and Dean had detailed knowledge of the pros and cons of various setups, were passionate about their work, and they had systems installed themselves at home! Which is always a good sign!

Only have good things to say about WDS. Plumbing and heating is a blindspot for me but they made the process of getting 2 ASHPs for an old building renovation very painless, and I understood what I was buying the whole way thanks to the info provided.

Vaillant Arotherm heat pump installed in November 2023. Excellent company. You can sense there has been an increase in demand though and the strain shows in places. The heat loss survey was in depth and the support around the process of deciding whether to proceed or not was really well judged. At no time did I feel pressured into what was a considerable investment - but to be fair the new grant for renewable heating helped a lot. I had to have planning permission which was no fault of WDS more a function of outdated planning laws in wales based on old ideas of the flaws of the systems. Anyway the installation was probably the best of any home project that I’ve had done. Adam and Dean are hardworking and professional installers and I cannot recommend them enough. I’ve had the system for two months and have had to contact the company once as the heat pump switched itself off in the early days as one of the settings was not quite right. Apart from that it has been flawless, the house is much more comfortable. A steady comfortable temperature rather than the yo-yoing temperatures we used to get with our old combination boiler where we were either too hot or too cold. Costs to run seem comparable in the cold snaps but Much cheaper now it is milder.

Really delighted with the service and the attention to detail from Jim, Chris, Liam, Lewis, Paul and the rest of the team... The team replaced a 9 year old heat pump from another manufacturer which was incredibly unreliable and left us with a poor experience... with WDS the expertise, attention to detail and willingness to ensure the set up was running as well as it can has been excellent. I would definitely recommend them.... Great job !

I wanted to have an air heat pump fitted. I contacted a number of companies through Google but was not impressed by their approach. A friend referred me to WDS who had fitted a heat pump for her. I found WDS to be excellent in all departments; sales, survey, fitting and commissioning. They were very informative and gave me very good advice. They are not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. In summary I thought they were superb and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

WDS Greenenergy designed, supplied and installed a new GSHP in my property last year. From the outset they have been very professional and efficient. The installation went very smoothly, the commissioning and handover was great, the help to obtain grant funding was useful and the offer to sign up for ongoing maintenance checks and servicing has been an added bonus in terms of "peace of mind". I would recommend the whole team very highly.

We had a Vaillant ASHP and cylinder fitted at our house to replace a gas combined boiler. Happy with the team workmanship and how they minimised time we were out of water to an hour or two at most. Good quality and tidy installation. Can recommend as they are very knowledgeable on heat pumps and efficiency and the Vaillant model is very quiet. After installation commissioning was also good with a visit a few weeks later to check on things and go through controls.

I had an air source heat pump installed to provide heating and hot water in an EER band E 17thC house and have nothing but praise for the firm's competence and thoroughly professional work. I'm delighted with the result. The heat pump really does the job!

WDS installed an ASHP for us. From first survey to commissioning, everything was most efficient and always very friendly. Their great experience meant the system worked perfectly first time and advice we received throughout was first-class, making the whole process very easy indeed.

WDS Green energy were a pleasure to deal with from day 1. I have asked for multiple quotes for an air source heat pump at my property with multiple companies, however only WDS were truly professional from the start. The initial email explained the business, sector and grant process (without me needing to prompt). this email also explained how to make applications for grants if entitled. Next came a site visit with an engineer to assess the property and capacity of the system I required. A second site visit before the install to ensure everything was in good order. Both individuals were knowledgeable and approachable. The installation engineers were always early, were respectful of my house and generally good company and good conversation. The system install quality is excellent and finished to a high standard, no question was too much bother. I cannot recommend this company enough.

"I would highly recommend using WDS Green Energy for your project having just used their services for the supply and installation of an air source heat pump to replace our aging gas condensing boiler. From the first telephone enquiry, I found the staff to be polite, professional and patient as I had a lot of questions. Nothing was too much trouble and all the staff were prepared to address my concerns and listen to my requirements. Their engineers conducted a very comprehensive survey of our property in order to complete the heat loss calculations for every room and the building in general.. Once the survey was completed, I received a detailed quotation itemising the equipment recommended following further discussions around the various options put forward. A date for the installation was agreed and all the components arrived a few days before - all on time The installation was completed over a period of 6 days by two of their staff who once again were very professional and courteous.The quality of their work was outstanding with every component and connecting pipework installed with real precision. I'm very fussy and demand high standards of workmanship, but nothing phased their technicians - their standards were as high as mine! They were also very flexible - for example being asked to relocate a component to make access to the loft hatch easier. A week or so after the installation was completed, WDS sent their commissioning engineer to tweak the final settings to enable the system to work as efficiently as possible in our property. As a result, my wife and I are very happy with how the system is performing.Our home is warm and the system is working efficiently which reflects all the research and groundwork undertaken by WDS prior to the installation. If you want to waste money on a heat pump, use a company or individual who supplies a poorly specified system that's badly installed. On the other hand, if you want to have comfortable heating with plenty of hot water - even when the weather is very cold which costs no more to run than a gas central heating system, consider using WDS Green Energy Ltd. You won't regret your decision if our experience is repeated."

We found WDS Green Energy very competent and they explained every part of the ground source heat pump installation at our property excellently. They completed a full heat loss survey with recommendations, which we fulfilled, including use of their tried & tested groundworks contractor Phil Price, & the result is an excellent heating system that replaces our elderly oil boiler & tank. The new tanks & pipes in the plant room are top quality, the best that could be used. The result is a beautifully warm house even through the coldest winter spells, & we are extremely happy with it all.

We recently completed the renovation of an old Welsh cottage .WDS installed our air source heat pump and under floor heating. They provided a full site survey with energy saving calculations on initial contact and then designed and installed the full system in a small complex space .The whole process was professional and friendly . WDS responded very quickly and helpfully to all my queries and also communicated well with the other trades during the project helping to keep the whole process painless. Our house is now lovely and warm - thank you WDS .

100% recommend WDS for air source heat pump installation. Our house + system we have: We have a Vaillant air to water heat pump + hot water cylinder in a 1930's semi detached house (with some insulated suspended floor & aluminium radiators put in when it was being replumbed but many upgrades). Review of the heating system: The heating system worked flawlessly during the -8 celsius cold snap - this temperature was probably one of the only times we slightly hear the unit running from the other side of the wall in the house - any other time it's basically silent (only the sound of moving air) including when stood next to it! I don't like the closed nature of Vaillant control systems for integrating into smart home systems (they use ebus not opentherm - standard for all Vaillant products across gas + ashp etc) but I recognise that the actual physical hardware is excellent (quiet, efficient, looks good and performant) so over all am very happy with it. WDS spec and install a good product! Review + timeline of WDS service: We first dealt with Jim who answered my many many basic questions really well with no pushing to order anything. Once Jim produced a rough plan (using information we gave him) we were asked if we'd like to proceed and Chris (an engineer) visited us to measure up and survey the property (and answer even more questions). Chris produced a detailed quote/spec, ensured we met the criteria for receiving the £5k gov grant (which we wanted). We paid the deposit and were handed to Lewis (project manager) who we communicated with (we were having building work done in the area for the pump and this was in COVID when supply chains for ASHP parts were delayed). We had to have have our old heating system removed (Aug) before the air source was installed (Oct/Nov) (again, due to building work/supply chain) - Lewis made sure we had a system in place before heating was required. 3 WDS installers rapidly (and diligently) installed everything over 3 days to a very high standard. Worth mentioning because of how well it was rectified: There were some crossed wires about how we wanted to control the heating so when it was installed it did not have this in place. I know most other companies would have got very difficult about this but Lewis (and team) really delivered truly outstanding support. Came back out (at their expense) and tweaked the system. I genuinely am really impressed with WDS workmanship and support - if you want a well designed heating system and quality service at competitive pricing: definitely contact them. We looked at other suppliers including some big name building companies that didn't specialise in heat pump installation but when the quotes came in - it was clear WDS were the ones the knowledge and experience, now we've got our system - that definitely holds true. If we moved to another house without a heat pump, we would definitely be going back to WDS for a heat pump.

WDS have installed a ground source heat pump (GSHP) in our new house re-development. Of all the contractors we have worked with, WDS have been the most professional, communicative and provided a high level of support throughout the whole process. It is a very well run operation, with Jim leading the design and planning and Lewis and his team in charge of installation and commissioning. It has been a real pleasure to work with WDS Green Energy and really enjoyed our two-way discussions on all the calculations and the physics of these systems. Our system has been in operation for a while and we have had no issues. I would highly recommend this experienced and professional team for these systems.

WDS installed our ASHP, we've had it for about 3 months now and it's been running wonderfully, even through the really cold period. They have been very helpful and professional throughout the installation and after care.

We had our Air source heating system installed for 2 years now, all been good until the Immersun solar system stop working back in July. It cost us £550 to install the immersun system and now it’s going to cost us £650 to replace it what a joke, ask for it to be repaired and everyone seem to be dragging their feet no idea why…????? Not getting any where with my problem.

WDS installed both my Air Source Heat Pump and underfloor heating. The teams they sent to conduct the work were professional, clean and always on time. The components used in the system are top quality, and their installation team are professionals who understand the systems they are providing. Over the last 12 months I have been researching renewable energy systems: air source heat pumps and solar PV panels. The number of middlemen, agents and charlatans that I have had to endure has been ludicrous. I am an electrician and have a keen interest in the technical and practical side of these systems. Virtually all sales presentations fell apart when subjected to detailed questioning and I was beginning to give up hope! A solar panel installer recommended WDS Green Energy Ltd (Cardiff) to me when he came to quote me for a solar PV system. I looked at their website and I noted that they do work for the National Trust, not an organisation that you can befuddle with smoke and mirrors! I contacted them and dealt with Jim Groves. Jim was very knowledgeable, helpful and promptly responded to all and any questions that I had. Absolutely professional and faultless. Emails answered, phone calls returned; a complete contrast to the majority of companies that I had been in touch with. I placed an order and paid a deposit and had a site visit with one of the directors, Steve Bond, an equally professional and helpful person. There were options about plant location and Steve was happy to install the plant in the roof or on the ground floor for the quoted price (one company quoted an extra £1,200 to put the plant in the roof – 2m of pipework in our bungalow!). We agreed an installation date but in the event my partner came home and was shown a photograph of a typical installation and had not realised how much room would be needed. Further, last year we had a new gas combi boiler installed in this bungalow that we are refurbishing, but this was before we had considered installing an air source heat pump and this would have had to be removed to receive the £5,000 Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant from the government. Consequently I had not made provision for the plant and would have had to make some small changes to some stud walls which, in the event, my partner did not want the slight disruption of or to take out a new boiler. Poor planning on my part – hands up. We decided therefore to run the gas boiler for a couple of years and to then review the air source heat pump, and to build a small outside shelter if we decided to go ahead to house the plant. I called Jim and gave him the bad news and he could not have been more magnanimous or understanding and immediately offered to refund my deposit in full and asked for my bank details. WDS Green Energy are not short of work and have been trading for 12 years. Based on my contact and interaction with them I would give more than 5 stars were that an option but they get 5/5 from me and I cannot recommend them highly enough. I will be back in touch in due course. Thank you to Jim and Steve at WDS for all your kind help and attention and I am sorry that this job did not come to fruition on this occasion.

These guys installed and commissioned an air source heat pump system in a renovation project This happened as the grants schemes were changing. They managed the change seamlessly and where professional , friendly throughout I rang 6 other firms and no-one came close. WDS explained the system with patience and care . There's no sales rubbish just straight talking and best value

The customer service at WDS is outstanding. Ground Source Heat Pumps are confusing for an idiot like me however WDS have been unbelievably patient, kind, understanding, talking me through and fixing issues that were entirely my fault. Not complaining that we have not stuck to our time schedules (gone over by more than 18 months!) We are lovely and warm with a plant room that looks immaculate. Thank you WDS. There are not many companies who treat their customers so well.

After having a week without any heating thanks to the snow last year I started to look at heat pumps I decided to contact WDS Green Energy. After having an engineer around to look at my current heating setup he showed me a couple of examples at other houses. It was clear from the other home owners that WDS Green energy finished their work to a good standard, the people seemed genuinely happy with their heat pumps. I decided to go ahead with the proposed quote from WDS. The work took 4 days to complete with quite a lot of my garden been dug up for heating pipes. The team were really help and explained what they were doing and I learnt quite a lot about how the heating system worked and maintenance advice of the team of installers. I was really pleased with the work and cannot wait to see how hot my house is over the winter.
