SMC Plumbing and Heating

Brilliant service..needed a part which was delivered to my apartment within the hour.. Thank you so much

Scott and his team were all fantastic. They were very helpful and great to have around. Would highly recommend them for all your plumbing jobs.

Excellent! Great service, welcomed advice and would 100% use next time. Thank you Scott - really appreciate your help.

We have used SMC on two occasions. One was a central heating issue and the other a plumbing leak. Neither was straightforward, but they were excellent in the way they dealt with them with patience and expertise. The leak was aggravated by the fact that the stop-cock in the street was impacted with mud and Scott had to patiently dig it out in the rain to ensure the job was done late on a Friday. Their charges are very reasonable and I will not hesitate to recommend them.

Scott carried out a gas safety and boiler check at my property. Very friendly and professional. Will use again next year and recommend for any similar works.

Very good service with friendly staff. Kept informed throughout job. Really impressed with this company give them a go.

Perfect service; on time, swift, polite and thorough - good value for money.

Great service. Scott kept me fully informed about what was going on. Would highly recommend.

Excellent service prompt and customer care of a very high standard as always with Scott and his staff.

We called regarding a leaky pipe in our main bathroom and Rob from SMC plumbing did a great job at a good price. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a friendly plumber around Cardiff!

Lovely job installing our underfloor heating. Great company.

Excellent, honest and value for money. I called SMS after being let down by a couple of other "engineers" who did not have a clue what the problem with my combi boiler was, or how to fix it. Scott visited same day, identified the problem immediately and fixed it, at a very reasonable cost. I totally recommend this company and Scott in particular. Don't waste your time or money with others.

Very pleased with the work we had done. Great team working with SMC. Very thorough and helpful throughout

So genuinely impressed with Scott and his team. Professional, efficient and a really high standard of work. Will definitely be contacting for any further jobs. Can highly recommend

We have used SMC a few times for repairs and have always found them excellent. Scott came out last week to identity an issue and fix a faulty boiler that two other engineers failed to manage to do. Straightforward pricing, great rates and everything always clearly explained. Great local service.

Very professional service from Scott who takes pride in his work, prefering to do things the right way. Trustworthy, reliable timekeeper. Good comms too.

As ever, SMC responded fast and flexibly - this time to work with a roofer to replace the flu and gasket to my boiler. They work cleanly, quietly, and efficiently, and I trust them enough to go out while they are working. Thanks again Scott and team.

SMC did a great job, everything sorted as always!

Scott was recommended to me for all aspects of plumbing work and I can see why! Expertise and efficiency! So what started with a top notch boiler service has now moved on to include a refit of my cloakroom. I'm really happy to have someone so friendly and professional as my go to plumber!

I have used Scott and his team for many years - New boiler, annual boiler service and landlord gas safety certificate. Scott has always gone the extra mile and trustworthy.

Scott was fantastic, always turned up when promised and got the job done to a very high standard. Special mention goes to how Scott went over and above simply fitting a Hive thermostat and new shower, we had a few challenges, but Scott made sure everything was sorted and worked. Can't recommend highly enough. Great job!

After a problem with our heating ,Scott came and diagnosed a faulty pump . We were given a choice of different quality pumps , he then arranged for Fabio to come and do the change , he also had to renew 2 other items which he did without any issues. The job was completed with no mess and We are very happy with the result. We would definitely recommend their services.

Scott and his team have done many plumbing jobs for us in the last few years and we’ve always been very pleased with the quality of work done and fairness of price charged.

Excellent service from Scott this week. Solved a difficult problem efficiently. Many thanks. Good to find caring and capable tradesman. Highly recommend Scott.

We have used Scott and his team for many years. Scott maintains all the heating at St Lukes Church and others and his work is beyound reproach. Scott has maintenence our heating at our home, and within the last three months installed a hive system for us, sadly the thermostat failed, which was no fault of Scott's workmanship. He came and installed a replacement, and as always on time arranged. We are careful who we allow in our home, but we would allow Scott to work in our home even if we were on holiday etc. Trust is the main character of SMC along with knowing the security of homes he works in is paramount. 5+++++ workmanship, it speaks for itself.

As always excellent service

Fantastic service - really went above and beyond to get my boiler back up and running! Would certainly be using SMC for all my future heating and plumbing requirements. Would highly recommend.

We recently chose SMC Plumbing and Heating to remove our old regular boiler system and replace it with a Worcester combi boiler. There was a lot of work involved, removing tanks from the attic, the cylinder from the airing cupboard and all associated pipework before even beginning the installation of the new combi. From start to finish, the guys were all very professional and friendly. Always arriving on time and being super respectful of our home, covering carpets and removing shoes where needed. They even did a great clean up job when they left. A fantasic job done by the team at competitive prices. It certainly did feel like a 5* service. Thanks!

I called this company Friday to enquire about fitting a new gas hob for me as urgently as possible and was over the moon to find he had availability for Monday. (I had been let down by three others and most company’s had a waitlist of weeks)Scott came to my property on time and was absolutely fantastic. He got the job done quickly, cleanly and was very professional. I will be recommending this company to everyone. Fast, reliable, service.

Amazing 5* service. Can't fault Scott. Rang at 12:30pm and problem solved by 14:30pm even on a Sunday. Cannot recommend Scott enough. Will be booking him in to do our annual service too now.

I have a heated towel rail/radiator in the airing cupboard which was leaking and had soaked all the bath towels. I rang Scott on Friday afternoon and he came out on Saturday morning to fix it. He arrived at the appointed time and fixed the leak quickly and efficiently. He even offered to move a single bed from one bedroom to another bedroom! What a brilliant service! Had a new radiator fitted yesterday by SMC just to say they did a fab job, quick, efficient and the fitter was very helpful. There price was also very good. I would definitely recommend them. Wendy Cleveland

Took numerous attempts to get them to turn up, no quote received despite numerous promises. Waste of time.

Scott and his team (Tony, Gareth, Andrew and Sheldon) fitted a new kitchen from top to bottom and altered the position of the doorway to the kitchen for me, making sure the walls were plastered well and fully decorated. Tony fitted the kitchen, Gareth replaced the old pipes with a really tidy job and installed a boiling water tap that works perfectly, Andy did all the electrics while Sheldon (S Class Decorators) did a superb job and left a perfect smooth surface on previously poorly finished plaster walls and ceiling which he then painted to perfection. Scott was always great to talk to and always provided updates when appropriate, leaving me with a well fitted kitchen that will last for many years. The whole team is completely reliable and they turn up when they say they will - we had a few laughs too! I thoroughly recommend SMC not only for their service but for their very reasonable rates – you will not be disappointed.

Fabulous professional service iv used SMC plumbing a few times now, my house is over 70years old so lots of old plumbing problems but nothing is to much for them I would highly recommend them for all you plumbing work .

Many thanks SMC Plumbing & Heating for a job well done on replacing old awkwardly placed pipes with new, complete with new basin and toilet. Good on you Rob for perservering and getting everything sorted for me. Fantastic service 🙂

We decided to have our bath replaced by a walk-in shower, and while we were about it, to have a new toilet and washbasin as well. After trying a few local bathroom installers we finally found SMC Bathrooms & Kitchens Ltd who finally did a MARVELLOUS job and at a VERY reasonable price. I cannot praise thus firm highly enough. Scott and his team were always helpful, friendly and polite, and we now have a bathroom which is the envy of our friends.

These guys are the best! I called saying my boiler wasn't working and within 30 minutes they were at my door. Next morning as promised, work started on the boiler. A few hours later, I was saying goodbye to a brilliant engineer who deserves all the success in business that's out there. Old school service with old school principles. Thorough and totally honest! Tea, milk with 1 sugar and your boiler will be in the hands of an expert. Thanks again, Scott, you're a diamond!!

New boiler and shower fitted by Scott, Darren and Rob. Good chaps and had a laugh with them. Would recommend for any plumbing jobs. Scott also helped me late at night with a problem over the phone. Some companies you won't get hold of in an emergency.

Phoned on bank holiday Easter Monday. Came out and sorted problem within 2 hours. Very happy and would recommend.

Scott has sorted a few plumbing / bathroom jobs for me over the last couple of years. On each occasion, Scott has done a first class job. He is very patient and always focuses on achieving an exceptionally high standard. His attention to detail is second to none down to ensuring that even the application of silicone is a ‘work of art’. He is very tidy in his work and treats your home with respect. Scott is very reliable and will go out of his way to to help when needed. He is always polite with a smile on his face. I will definitely continue to ask Scott to carry out work for me in the future and would have no hesitation in recommending him to family and friends. Truly a First Class Service.

I've used Scott a few times now and will continue to use him as he's honest and transparent in terms of what needs doing and is always conscientious. I've only ever used him for basic stuff like the boiler or a pipe leaking or to service the boiler etc but if I were to put in a new bathroom or kitchen I'd definitely use him as I know if there were any problems he'd sort them out. He has worked hard to create a good and reputable business and always aims to keep his customers happy. He's also friendly and trustworthy.

I have used SMC for over 5 years for small jobs such as washing machine plumbing to bigger jobs like a new boiler and lately a new bathroom fitted. The transformation in the bathroom was above and beyond what we expected thanks to their hard work. Scott and his team have always been amazing nothing is too much trouble for them. They genuinely care what ever the job is, i wouldn't use another plumbing or heating company other than SMC. I would rather wait till they are available as I know the job will be finished to an exceptional standard.

Scott, Tony and Rob did an excellent job fitting our new en-suite and a couple of designer radiators elsewhere in the house. They were very respectful of our home and were great around the kids and our dog (who got very attached to the boys!). The finished job looks excellent! I’d highly recommend SMC to anyone looking for a professional job done by a skilled team.

Scott is highly respectable and a hard worker, I have contacted him on many occasions in which he has proved that no job is to small.Scott will always keep to his promise and turn up when he says he will or can.Over the years i have seen him grow and expand as a company not only repairing Plumbing and heating but also carrying out very high standards of fitting in bathroom and kitchens.Would recommend him and his team anytime.

Scott and his team were employed to find and repair damage caused by a leak in the shower room ( found union joint behind shower Scott and his team were very professional they came in got on with the job even when they found other work that required attention they just bit the bullet and carried on during the new installation they discovered water had gone under the floor and started popping tiles so that put pressure on their work load / timeline Scott explained there would know be a few delays for drying time and final finish time that was my problem not theirs but they overcome ever obstacle throw at them with total professionalism They even baby sat the dog let him in and out when required top blokes would not hesitate to pick up phone or recommend to family and friends cheers Scott Clive /Jude

Cannot recommend Scott highly enough. Has done loads of jobs for me over the last 5 years from a new boiler install to leaky taps. No job is too small, very reasonable prices and always happy to pop round in an emergency. Always turns up when he says he will!! Thanks!!

Scott and his team were a pleasure to deal with from quote to finsh. Highly organised and professional. Would definitely use Smc again

Scott and his team are currently completing work on our extension. The whole process has been stress free from start to finish and I would highly recommend SMC Plumbing and Heating. Have more work to carry out and my first call will be to Scott

Scott and all the guys at SMC are absolutely top-notch. Professional service, extremely friendly and outgoing, and crystal-clear advice and guidance all the way through. By far the best and most professional plumbers I've ever dealt with. Scott came round and gave us great advice and a competitive price quote for a boiler replacement, and the job they did was top-notch with a great product. All of the reviews of SMC Plumbing online are spot-on, and they totally deserve all the five star ratings. Can't wait to use them again for our plumbing needs!

Fantastic service, great prices, really lovely people. Outstanding quality of work. Very happy with our boiler being serviced and new tap fitted. Will definitely use this company again.

Great job done on new boiler and bathroom refit. Highly recommended.

Excellent quality of work, Scott and Rob were a pleasure to deal with. Four new radiators were fitted and alterations to existing pipework carried out. Good price, no fuss and no mess. Highly recommended. Many thanks.

A fabulous service, I would recommend this company 100% very reasonable prices and excellent workers, really pleasant and nothing too much. Will definitely use again. Cheers lads 😊

Highly recommend, extremely impressed with the professionalism and service provided from initial contact to completion of the job . (Fitted a gas hob).

Scott was amazing he responded within minutes of my call and although it was late on a Friday afternoon. Called out the same evening so I wouldn't be without heating over the weekend would highly recommend

Scott gave me great advice when he came to have a look at a faulty boiler, he responded quickly by phone and text (within an hour of me posting my job) and visited me the next day to look at the job. Although I have decided to go with a different plumber, Scott was very polite and courteous as he understood that I had other quotes coming in.

I bought a kitchen mixer tap and tried to replace it myself. I couldn't get the old tap off and had loosened lots of connections under the sink and was getting worried as it was gone 1pm and I had switched off water supply so was stuck in the middle. I knew SMC had spent most of summer down my street as they had done lengthy works for two of my neighbours. I rang Scott and he assured me he would come later in the afternoon or early evening to sort out my mess. One of his guys named Paul arrived about 4.40pm who was great. He completed the works in about half an hour or so and I was up and running as normal with my new tap. No mess from Paul and he double checked for leaks before he left.. Top Firm / Top job. If you can book this firm for your works you wont regret it as I've seen my neighbours jobs and even though mine was small in terms of money I was so great full as I was stuck with no heating or running water .

Highly recommended and a lovely team. Always nervous using someone new for a first time but shouldn’t have been with Scott. Very professional - can highly recommend.

Excellent professional service from Scott and the Team and highly recommended

Very helpful! Solved our issue instantly. We called in to ask a visit from one of the plumbers at smc , instead Scott gave us a DIY tip which worked wonderfully. Very pleased.

A huge thank you to Scott for getting out to me in a snow blizzard today to fix my boiler. Don’t know what I’d have done without him. 5* as always.

Friendly and quick service, even stayed to do the job even though it was nicer than first thought and recommended cheaper and more reliable parts than the original. Highly recommended.

Scott and his team did an absolutely brilliant job of our bathroom. No request was too big; and the attention to detail was first rate. Highly recommend!

Scott definitely went the extra mile for us. We had a boiler that he was not familiar with and quickly did the research to allow him to both fix and service it. I am not sure there are many other plumbers who would have gone so far to satisfy their customer. I would undoubtedly recommend Scott to anyone who asked if I knew a quality plumber.

We had a problem with a shower, Scott came out identified the problem and fixed it,. Fast and efficient service and response with reasonable rates. I will definitely be using Smc again.

Brilliant service from SMC Plumbing/Scott, on more than one occasion. Very prompt, good work and pricing.

Excellent boiler service from a really helpful engineer

Excellent, highly skilled, reliable gas engineer.

Quality boiler service for less than the pretend plumbers.
