I have used marathon windows a few times and have always been happy with the quality of their goods and the service they provide.
I'm taking the time to give a glowing review of Marathon Windows even though we couldn't use their services. I made an appointment for someone to come and take a look at our conservatory because the roof needs replacing. The appointment was made efficiently and when Tony arrived, he took one look at the conservatory and informed me that the structure of our conservatory wouldn't stand up to a tiled roof, and that if we had one fitted, we'd have issues with leaks etc in several years time. I was so grateful for his honesty, and for him taking the time to research the kind of insulation that would suit our roof online with me before he left, at no benefit to Marathon Windows whatsoever. At the icing on the cake was, as he was leaving, he noticed our front door mechanism was jamming, whipped out his WD-40 and fixed it for us. I'm sad we can't give this company our business, but want to recommend them on the basis of their high professionalism and honesty!

Excellent company. From the first visit from Jane to Dan their fitter, they couldn't have been more helpful. My neighbours have all called round and admired my beautiful stained glass door. Will be using them again in the near future to replace a window that now won't open (they didn't fit it and I wish I'd gone to them in the first place!)

Very pleased with Marathon Windows. I needed some double glazed casings replaced in an existing window that's not very old. I contacted them, they got back to me promptly & professionally. Communication excellent. Double glazed units made within 4 weeks and fitted within 6 weeks. Fitters were very good, tidy and friendly. Thorough estimation by the guy that came to measure up and put the quotation together. I will definitely use them again if I decide to have my remaining windows renewed soon.

I recently had an issue with my bifold doors that were supplied by Marathon in 2014. Despite the warranty having expired, Marathon fixed the doors, refusing to take any payment in the process. I couldn't recommend them high enough and will definitely use them for all my gazing needs in the future.

Marathon were fab. The lady who came for the first measure-up was brilliant, understanding aesthetics and balancing costs, as well as talking through legal technicalities like fire openings. Compared with other companies we saw, it was chalk and cheese. And to cap it all, they came out best on price too, so there was no decision to make! On the day the guys were fabulous – dust sheets everywhere so no mess or dust, very considerate at keeping disruption to a minimum, and were finished earlier than planned. All great from start to finish and I’ve already recommended them to friends!

We replaced a old conservatory, the fitters were excellent , taking everything away and leaving know mess. I was very happy with Marathon Windows, The men turned up on time and did a really professional job. It was only one small window, but rather than rush it, they took their time to ensure a perfect fit and finish were achieved. I was very impressed and will certainly use them again if I need more windows replaced.
All the work was done professionally and smoothly. Both fitters were attentive, courteous and communicative. There were unexpected snags along the way. No install of this size is without them but these were dealt with and resolved extremely well. Very pleased with the result.

Nice window, but really shoddy administration. We paid as soon as they sent invoice. They phoned me 2 months later to complain I hadn't paid. I checked my bank account to confirm I had in fact paid, and when I phoned them back I am told the MD has gone on holiday leaving no one who can access their accounts to confirm we paid!

Marathon Windows fitted some very nice uPVC sash windows in my wife's apartment. The work was completed in 2015. Between then and now (2022) the security latches went slightly out of alignment. On Monday, I contacted Marathon Windows requesting advice on how to fix the issue. They immediately scheduled a site visit and fixed the issue on Wednesday. Fantastic customer service, great installers and high quality windows.

We had all new doors and windows in October 2020. Since then we have had extensive building work so some of the windows have needed a little readjustment to close properly due to the movement caused during our extension. Jane from Marathon sent someone out the same day as me calling - with no charge. We have also had a problem with the front door and again - this was assessed the next day and a new part installed within a week. I can’t recommend this company enough - it’s so easy to just moan about bad experiences (and I should know with the builders I have had) and we don’t recognise excellent service enough. This company has delivered everything they promised and continue to be reachable and reactive 2 years on. Thanks so much to Jane and the team!

I had all my windows replaced and I was pleased with the service from pre-sales to installation. The wait was also not too long, about a month. It is a family business which has been running a long time. You get the impression that they are a happy, cohesive team and really care about providing a quality service with an emphasis on after-sales service. My five new windows were only replaced a month ago, so fortunately I've not needed to test this! :-)
We recently had a new front door fitted and are really pleased with the results and the workmanship of the two guys who came to fit it - they did a fantastic job! Other trades had let us down or made the job over complicated, but the owners of Marathon have a wealth of knowledge and suggested an extra wide door rather than an over sized glass side panel and this has delivered a safe, secure and stylish front door. The whole team are efficient, polite and punctual so my husband and I would highly recommend them and will definitely use them again in the future for additional window work that we have in mind.

After all required measurements were taken and checked our new doors were delivered within the agreed time. The installation team was very polite with great attention to details. We had doors and windows replaced by Marathon. Jane came to do the initial visit, and she was caring, thoughtful and provided great insight into the business and how it is family run. Tony came to do the measuring up, and he was also super friendly and polite, and they both brimmed with passion. They are a company and couple who care. We chose them because of their attitude. Their service and the way they dealt with us. Would I recommend them, yes 100% without a doubt. I want to share this part to demonstrate that they do care and they are a good company. We had a couple of bits that needed rectifying a window not closing as smooth as it should. We contacted Tony and Jane, and they said they would be around to fix, and they did. That to me demonstrates a company who cares. They could not have done more to provide a fab service and we have to be realistic sometimes things don't go perfectly, but a good company always comes through, and they did. GREAT SERVICE. I have used Marathon windows on three separate occasions over the last 15 years. They are not the cheapest option on the local market, but then that is reflected in the quality of the products they supply and , more importantly the workmanship of their installers. We have had a whole house double glazing replacement, then a change of heart and had new French doors installed, and then further windows in our extension. They have dedicated very experienced installers( the one we always ask for has been there 30 years), who are clean and tidy and extremely respectful of your home and furnishings. I honestly cannot recommend them highly enough.
We popped into Marathon to enquire about bi fold doors and for the first time in all the quotes we had received was told the truth about our house insurance not being valid if we went with a two door system, nothing that any of the other companies cared to inform us of. So, no bifold doors but a new front door ordered. Chap came to measure on time and was very helpful. Spoke on several occasions to Karen in front office who was always very attentive to our needs and nothing appeared to be too much trouble. Tony rang us to arrange the fitting, all great then the fitter, Les , turned up right on time and started work. His attention the detail was truly amazing, the care he took when removing the old door was second to none and the new door looked perfect, he even gave me a lesson on how to operate the locking system. I can not recommend this company highly enough, totally professional, amazing value for first class goods, will definatley be returning when we need new windows/doors and have already recommended to friends and neighbours, well done marathon for excellent customer service.
