After the initial contact, it was established a site visit would be required to confirm if the fire we had selected could be fitted. Mike carried out the inspection in less than a week. Was thorough, answered all queries we raised, and confirmed he would send a written quotation. This arrived in less than 24 hours, detailed all the work that had been discussed. Deposit paid, and at the same time a date was fixed for the installation, which was within 3 weeks. Ben arrived promptly on the day. He made sure we were aware the gas was being turned off, and to ensure we did not use our boiler until he instructed us. Mike arrived a little later assisted in final part of installation, checking and commissioning, and issuing of paperwork and certificates. He was thorough in going through the operation of the fire. From start to finish the whole process has been seamless, all people have been friendly, efficient and professional. You would not have known they had been in thw house except for a lovely new fire which is a joy to operate, and will be a great bonus this winter. Would not hesitate to recommend this company.

Just had an amazing experience with Ipswich Fireplace Centre. From Mike and his wife helping decide which stove to buy. Then Mike coming over and quoting a very good price. Ben then came with a colleague to fit it and did a brilliant job installing. What a look and cosy feeling they've achieved. If your ever thinking of having a wood burner installed you can't go wrong with this team. Five stars from me.

Just had media wall fitted by Mike from ipswich fireplace centre. Just wanted to leave a review to praise them for a wonderful experience in excellent workmanship and customer service. From day one visiting the showroom and choosing our fire. Susan gave us great advice and made no attempt to upsell the product with extra options. We chose the new forest 1600 black edition and it looks amazing. Mike came and built the wall and ensured everything was perfect and we listened to Henry the hoover frequently during the day as Mike made sure there was absolutely no mess. The wall was completed and plastered and looks amazing. Would 100 percent recommend them.
I have left a handful of reviews in my life but feel compelled to do so for Ipswich Fireplace Centre. Mike and Susan no there stuff which is unusual these days and not once did I feel pressured to buy anything (again rare these days). The British Fires 650sq electric fire is absolutely stunning and we are thrilled with it. We also decided to have a new fireplace and hearth, the fitting by Ben was superb and to me well worth every penny to have it installed by them. If you want anything to do with buying/fitting a new fire/fireplace I cannot recommend them highly enough. Thanks to the team at Ipswich Fireplace Centre.
I don’t normally leave reviews, but this company truly deserves one. They removed an open fire and surround and installed a gas fire and iron inset and an alternative sandstone surround with incredible care—no redecorating needed! Brilliant workmanship from start to finish. Highly recommend.

Sue + Mike were extremely helpful in finding me a fire to fit in my chimney breast. Was fitted by Mike + Lewis and looks amazing the guys covered all areas with clean dust sheets and everything was left clean and tidy. Was so impressed witb workmanship asked Mike to quote for a new boiler within a day I had an email quote I had questions to ask and had reply straight away and went ahead with exactly what I was after. I was given a fitting date and Ben Connor + Lewis all did a brilliant job. I would highly recommend Ipswich Fireplace to anyone wanting a great service at competive prices and excellent workmanship. Right from the start we were sure of the fire we wanted and Media wall design for it. On our initial visit to Ipswich Fire Centre Sue gave excellent advice and arranged for Mike to visit to assess and quote. Mike listened to all our requirements, giving advice where appropriate. We were pleasantly surprised to receive, in our opinion, an extremely competitive quotation. On day agreed for work to commence, the guys arrived and set to work. They carried out everything to a high standard and quality. Ben did everything he could to ensure he constructed the framework exactly right. It took them 3 days to construct due to having to work round a ‘Wind Post’ supporting an RSJ and being a little more complex in design. Electrician, Ryan came and did all the installation work for fire, TV & downlighting. The plasterers too did a brilliant job. Not easy work with all the small areas! All in all a fantastic result and the comments from family and friends say it all. Looks Awesome I’ll email Mike & Sue some photos now it’s painted, flooring finished etc and hopefully they can put on their website
We recently tasked Mike and his team at the Ipswich Fireplace Centre to put in a an electric fire for us as we live in a flat with no ability for a real fire. I told Mike what I wanted and the idea I had in my head and he turned it into a reality. I could NOT be happier. It is EXACTLY what I wanted. A plain room made cosy and gorgeous. They built a a wonderful encasement to the fire with a beautiful log mantelpiece as I wanted and also beautiful floating shelves with strip lighting. Above the fireplace they wired into the wall and mounted our tv for a media wall and honestly I could not be more over the moon with the result. Thank you guys. 5 stars all the way
I recently bought a Isabella fireplace and Diamond electric fire from Ipswich Fireplace Centre and found they had a good selection of fireplaces. They listened to my requirements and helped me greatly to select the right one. The price was competitive the fireplace was delivered on time and with care. My builder has recently fitted it with no problems and I am thrilled.
We are extremely pleased with our media wall replacing our old fire place (still to be painted). Mike and his team (Ben) were fantastic, a very high quality job and always ensuring our requirements were met. The plasterers and electrician were also excellent. A fantastic organisation and we would highly recommend them.
Wonderful job done installing a fireplace in my old house. They were so careful with my old tiles and the old cast iron unit, and the installers were so clean, tidy and polite. The service all round from the first enquiry to payment of the invoice and aftercare was impeccable. Excellent value for money and real care taken in my home. Love this company - will use again for the other fireplaces I’d like returned. Great work.
Had Ipswich Fireplace center fit our new Gazco estudio electric fire this morning, cant recommend mike enough took our old fireplace out and fitted the new one very professionally, such a clean and tidy person left our front room spotless. So pleased with the new fire just waiting for the plaster to dry to touchup paint. Definitely give ipswich fireplace a look we got quotes from numerous other companies and these were by far the best.
Staff not in a hurry to see who had entered the 'showroom'. It is incredibly tatty inside and there are no prices or details on the products.
Very pleased with the log burner we had installed by Ipswich fireplace centre. Mike came out to measure up and discussed our options, once happy with everything, a time and date was arranged when Ben and Connor came out to fit the log burner at a very high standard the guys were very friendly and any questions, they were happy to answer. They were very friendly and tidied up afterwards. Highly recommend to anyone who wants one installed.
Excellent company. Friendly, reliable and trustworthy. Regularly service our boiler. Then, two weeks ago they came in and removed our horrible old fireplace and placed in a beautiful new log burner and mantel. They dropped off brochures before so we could decide what we wanted & were able to view them in the booklet & online. We are so happy with it. They did a fantastic job, they got it all done in a day & even tidied up after themselves! Highly recommend Ipswich Fireplace Centre. Thank you for all your hard work!
Mike and his team provided outstanding advice, service and workmanship for a fair price within an amazing time-frame, given Covid restrictions. We are delighted with the result and grateful for Mike's patience and helpfulness in making choices. It was a pleasure to have Ben and Connor working in our home. They brought energy, proficiency and know-how and were immaculately tidy. They removed our tired old gas fire and ancient brick fireplace and installed an awesome new Studio 2 gas fire. Jake the plasterer is a genius. As you see from the photo, we have some decorating to get on with now and it will be a challenge to match their masterful workmanship. Thank you guys!
What a great company. Mike and his team did a fantastic job and I cannot thank them enough for all of their efforts. I really think we were asking a lot from the installation, but I never felt anything but confident and glad that we selected Ipswich Fireplace Centre to carry out the work. The chimney breast was completely reconstructed, chimney liner and bird guard installed and finally, the inset stove and hearth were fitted. The end result is really incredible and I have shown some 'before and after' pictures so you can see the results that Mike and the team produced. No mess, no hassle, nothing was too much to ask. Mike is completely trustworthy and I wouldn't hesitate to use this company again. Thank you.
No offence guys but most of your log burners are half the price at other stores. Wasn't impressed with the mega high prices.
Poor customer after care. Had a leaking central heating pipe 18 months or so (when noticed, it had been hidden and leaking for some time) after being installed, They came promptly to rectify but gave me an £80 bill. After questioning if the repair should have been done under warranty as was a result of poor workmanship, I was told no, we only cover that for 12 months. I then said that I would be speaking to Trading Standards before I paid and the engineer took the bill off me a angrily and said "don't pay it and don't call us again". Guess what I won't! Their loss, (as I would have continued to use them for my future servicing needs) is someone else's gain.
