Alex was the Gair Gas engineer who recently installed a new Worcester Bosch boiler to replace our ageing 15 year old boiler. He was punctual, courteous and very friendly. He did a superb job removing the old boiler and installing the new one. He worked quickly and was very tidy. I was impressed by the speed of his work. A very successful installation experience and we're delighted with the new boiler with its 10 year warranty.

Arrived on time, cheerful, I explained the fault, which was a F75; he checked boiler inquired if we had a leak which was a radiator that was on list for replacement by GAir, shut down the flow rad valve on that rad, boiler since has been ok. Happy customer 😁

June 2026. Following a loss of connection between my HIVE thermostat and boiler, GAIR sent out an engineer who fixed the problem very rapidly. Moreover, there was no charge for this exemplary service. I cannot recommend this firm highly enough, having used them for the last three years to service my boiler and install new heating controls. Nov 2025. Serviced Worcester boiler. Arrived during agreed time slot, with text 20 minutes before and tracking information. Very polite and efficient and left no mess. Will use again for my annual service.

Initial diagnostic identified only a pump fault; however, this was later contradicted by a second engineer, significantly changing the scope and overall cost of the repair. This inconsistency resulted in an extended period without reliable hot water, including over the Easter period. The deposit also had to be chased, as it was initially not recognised in their records, although it was eventually refunded. Communication throughout was polite, but the overall experience lacked consistency and clarity. The quotation provided was also significantly higher compared to other companies for similar work.

Excellent service from Gair as always, and our heating is now working correctly again. Isaac did a superb job, explaining what he was doing clearly, and taking a lot of care to ensure that everything was working properly before he finished. Gair Home Services provide an excellent five star service supporting the local community. They are an outstanding, no-nonsense company. I am not a great fan of large national firms, as they often fail to respond when needed. I experienced this myself when a major leak was destroying my home, and they did not consider it an emergency. Never happens with Gair Gas. This time we were visited by Harry, an exceptionally polite and professional young man who was clearly efficient and knew his job excellently well. Overall, five stars (I wish I could give six!). Gair Gas remains our first choice for all home services.
I had problems with this Company and my new kitchen providers In the end the problem with my boiler was resolved by Gair Gas even though I believe the kitchen fitters made a mistake so thanks to Gair Fas I am warm again

Excellent very professional service. We were looking for new plumbers after our previous one retired. We went by the reviews and are glad we chose Gair Gas. We had a new boiler fitted and it all went very well. Both Sams who attended did an excellent job and were very friendly polite and professional. The office staff were also very polite and helpful. As I’m vulnerable the Company very helpfully expedited the works. The added bonus is that they also do electrics etc and we are looking forward to joining the Home Shield cover as it will give us peace of mind. Update. Central heating not working. As we are on Home Shield we phoned up and an engineer called within a couple of hours. The problem was investigated and we were advised that a flush of the heating system was required. Heaters were dropped off on loan as I’m vulnerable. That was much appreciated. Jan came out the next day and flushed the system and it’s now working perfectly. So many thanks to Gair for your support, efficiency, helpfulness and speed in fixing the problem.
Gair Gas have been our heating engineers, well forever it seems. They fitted our boiler, repaired our Megaflo and have carried out numerous services over the years, but this is the first time we have used their plumbing service. The engineer was bang on time, super polite and friendly, quickly identified the problem and came up with a solution. Couldn't be happier. The work was to install separate new heating controls for oil-fired boiler and convection heaters in our church. This installation was much delayed by me, but once scheduled, fixing separate new heating controls for oil-fired boiler and convection heaters was done quickly and efficiently. We have an old building with complicated wiring from previous setups. Great care was needed to remove redundant cabling without disrupting the remaining live cabling, which was done carefully and expertly. Date of experience: 09 December 2024

Such a great service! I had a gas pipe moved to accommodate an oven. I submitted a form online for a callback which was swift. The quotation was quick and accurate. The price was reasonable at around £115. Two people carried out the work respectfully and expertly. The invoice was shared shortly after and payment was easy.
I have their Homecare cover and had to call an out of hours engineer. The response was prompt and my boiler was up and running in less than a couple of hours after we realised there was an issue. Highly recommended.

I've used Gair a few times and have only good things to say. Every person attending has been polite and professional and gone above and beyond to give me advice about the heating and gas systems in my house. The first visit this year was a routine boiler inspection and service as I wasn't sure if I needed a new boiler (just bought an old house), the engineer advised me that although old, the boiler was in good working order, but he could have easily recommended I get a new one - as a different company had - and I'd have been none the wiser! Plus, he spent extra time investigating where an old gas pipe from a gas fire went which I wanted removed. The second visit was the installation of new radiators across the whole house and a hive heating system. The guys did a great job and left me with a wonderfully heated home! Definitely recommend for honest open advice and professional service.

Gair Home Services We are having the kitchen refitted and part of that included moving the Combi Gas boiler from the kitchen into the roof. Sam Cattle who ran the project and his crew kept us informed about what they were doing during the drain down of the system and moving of the boiler. Sam also liaised with the kitchen fitter to ensure that his high standards were met. This was not a large job and at no time did they come and say to me “we have a problem” in fact the opposite. Thanks guys I have no hesitation but to commend them and at the same time recommend this company

Have been using Gair Home Services for a number of years. From a new boiler installation to an ongoing service plan and more recently new radiators throughout the house. Everyone I have ever dealt with have been great. Phones are generally answered within a few seconds - no long holding the line. Issues and problems are dealt with swiftly and fairly. Would highly recommend. Any improvements... would probably suggest the boiler cover service plan even though slightly discounted is a little expensive when your boiler is still under manufacturer's warranty. A couple of fairly minor faults were simply forwarded to the manufacturer for resolution.

As usual I was generally very happy with the Gair service, Except that I asked Stuart how to operate the temperature control for the central heating but when I repeated his instructions the central heating would not come on. and has failed to come on at all ever since.

We have been using Gair Gas for 8 years. They first replaced a boiler and have since dealt with a few minor problems. Every year they arrange to service boilers before Winter sets in. We had an emergency after finding a damp patch on our hall ceiling. We called Gair Home services as we have a service contract with them, Sam came out within the hour and found that our cold water tank in the loft had a crack in it. The tank was drained and sealed off so no more damage could occur. We were without hot water for a couple of days but that was far preferable to having a ceiling collapsed and carpets damaged. Andy Gair came to assess the job and the new tank was replaced by Rich two days later. Excellent team work, very satisfied customers, thank you.
I've been with Gair Home Services for years (I still call them Gair Gas, I really should change that in my phone!). I took them with me when I moved house a few years ago. This house has had more issues than my last one, leaking boiler, replacement shower part, leak in pipes in a ceiling, leaking toilet. Give Gair a call, you don't have to jump through hoops to get through. Office team are always helpful and get appointments set up for within a couple of days if not same day. Reminder emails are sent then a message when engineer is on the way. All engineers I've had are always polite and clean and tidy. I will always recommend Gair and their HomeShield Plans. 08/08/24
No idea of what the fitter did. He turned up, I showed him the boiler, left him to it, 10 minutes or so later he said he had done the work everything OK, then left. Presumably the Annual Check was done. No paper work left. Job done, him or me?

I have been a Gair Gas customer for a long time and have always had excellent prompt service from them. Their boiler service is second to none and on the odd occasion when the need arose we were never without heating or hot water.

Gairgas have just installed a new boiler for me. I have to say that they have done a cracking job. The fitter and his apprentice were extremely professional. Everything was left clean and tidy and all the controls etc fully explained. Not being particularly tech savvy, this was a must. I would certainly recommend them. 1st Class service.
Very impressed! We've had a lot of electrical and heating problems since moving into our new house, and Gair have responded very quickly. The central heating did not work which was diagnosed and repaired same day, electric shower replaced the same day and two days of rewiring and making the electrics safe in the house. Very helpful admin staff and excellent tradesmen - THEY TURN UP ON TIME ON THE DAY THEY SAID THEY WOULD, which is rare good service in this day and age. We have more plumbing work to do and will be using them in the future.

I have a boiler service plan with Gair Gas. I've been so impressed with their service. I discovered I had no hot water at 9.15pm on Wednesday, an engineer was with me in 20 minutes and got the hot water working although said I needed a new part. Thursday morning the office phoned to check I had heating and hot water - very nice courtesy call. Friday lunchtime the new part was fitted. Both engineers were polite, respectful and efficient. We received excellent service. A routine service unfortunately revealed our 11 year old boiler was defective. We had a choice of repair or replacement. We decided to have a new boiler fitted and the work was completed 8 days later. All very efficient and with no mess or disruption at all. We have a monthly plan, which is great, because it covers labour and a lot off the parts for repairs/replacement, some of which are carried on the vans, so a return visit is not always necessary. We've been with Gair 4 years now and they've installed a new boiler and serviced it for us during that time. Just had a pressurised tank installed and Isaac did a great job, fully explaining things as he went. Only gave 4 stars as, although the quote cane out really quickly, it took a few calls to get the job booked into the calendar but it was worth persevering. Would recommend Gair gas.

My old boiler was 26 years old and having realised it was inefficient I wanted to install a new boiler to be as efficeint as possible. Although I thought I had communciated my requirements, it turned out that there had been miscommunication and when first intalled the boiler was not operating as efficiently as I wanted. Although it took a second visit to rectify the situation, I'm pleased to say that the boiler is now operating perfectly. It's good to know that if there is a problem Gair will work to get it resolved. In terms of the actual work, it was all carried out professionally by friendly staff, with everything left neat, tidy and clean afterwards. Thank you to all at Gair.

The callout response was good and the engineer was helpful and informative. The quote I received was not competitive and had no breakdown of costs and labour, this was in addition to a £90 diagnosis charge. I telephoned the office to gain the information, but was told that they just don't do that, but I was free to contact any supplier I would like to find out rough price and work it out for myself. The lady I spoke to, offered to get the boss Andy in touch to discuss it. When Andy called, I found him dismissive and a little patronising, he mad a cruse analogy about not asking for the cost of a steak when you eat in a restaurant, which had no relevance to the matter in hand. I feel for less inquisitive people who may just be tempted to accept Gair's higher than average quote with no question.
Emergency callout on a Saturday when our boiler failed. Problem was diagnosed and a temporary repair effected. Gair arranged proper repair under guarantee. Pretty good service if slightly pricey.

Fantastic service from Gair Gas Reported boiler fault on 18th Dec at 2pm they were on the scene by 4.30pm diagnosed the pump needed replacing and ordered one from the supplier. This was delivered to them and then fitted on Thu 21st in the morning so only without heating and hot water for a short while. Definitely recommend having one of their service plans
Had a suspected CO monitor alarm. When replaced battery no alarm but family still concerned. Already had monthly care plan so called emergency number as weekend before Christmas. Isaac arrived within about 1 hour. Very polite, pleasant young man who checked our boiler to make sure it was ok. Kept me informed and said all checks said it was safe. Thanks to Gair Gas and Isaac!!

Having had an annual boiler service I mentioned to the Gair Gas engineer that we had problem and with low pressure in our water system. This has been a problem for several years since we renovated the house with a number of plumbers in that time not seemingly able to diagnose the problem. The Gair Gas engineer was happy to have a look and quickly assessed a possible cause. We agreed for him to order a part and the office team scheduled in a visit. Within a matter of a week the new part had arrived, was installed and our water pressure fixed. Now we can use multiple taps at the same time and it’s really improved our family tension at shower times. Many thanks 🙏

We have an annual repair plan which includes one central hearing inspection per year. For the peace of mind it is invaluable. We just ring and an engineer is sourced at the earliest convenience. Usually that day if urgent but within a day if not. We are really happy with this service, the engineers are respectful, tidy, knowledgable and polite.

First time using Gair Gas for boiler service. I found the whole process very professional and was kept informed when Rich, the engineer would be with me. He was very professional and got on with the job and left everything tidy.
Many thanks to Gair, who came to us within a couple of hours of calling them when our boiler failed to work. The replacement part was immediately ordered and was fitted the following day so the boiler was working again within 24 hours. The engineer checked on the first day that we had an immersion heater so still could have hot water if required. He was courteous and helpful and clearly very proficient in his job.
I rang up Wednesday morning to ask for a call out because we had no hot water. They couldn't promise a same day call out and I said I have an immersion so it wasn't urgent. We left it that they would call when they could come. I then received a text message at 11.15am to say they were on their way. The engineer arrived soon after and worked on the boiler. Its an old boiler and parts are now obsolete but luckily he found the obsolete part he needed on his van and repaired the boiler. He couldn't give me a price for the part because it was obsolete but said he'd let me know. By teatime I had received a call telling me the price. I couldnt' of asked for better service. This company have been so helpful since me joining them. They came out promptly everything I rang when my husband was still alive but very ill. They would come out very quickly and managed to sort out previous boiler. They have been really helpful since I have been on my own they have always come out . When you ring there is a person rather than a computer. They were extra kind and have been very good when boiler was moved and conked out from someone else moving it that shouldn't. The manager came and spoke to me they have been very supportive. All the staff are professional tidy and courteous. I wouldn't go any where else . 100% happy with them .
The electrician arrived on time, he was very pleasant, and explained what he would be doing when installing the new downlight unit. He showed me the choice of white light, that was interesting, then installed the unit. He was probably here less than 30mins, so excellent service!!
Our old boiler was found to be faulty during the service visit. A quote was sent quickly and we booked the work to be completed. Great service Sam was superb, changed the boiler and made sure everything was 100%. Left the place near and tidy.

(Grab your popcorn, long negative review coming up....) **Extremely Disappointing Experience with Gair Gas HomeShield Plan** I can't express my profound disappointment strongly enough after my recent encounter with Gair Gas and their HomeShield Boiler plan. This company's lack of professionalism and utter disregard for customer satisfaction has left me absolutely appalled. Despite my compliance with every request, Gair Gas denied me access to their HomeShield coverage. This decision came without conducting the property inspection, which, by the way, they originally insisted on as a prerequisite for the HomeShield plan. Additionally, as per their request I also provided a Gas Safety Check certificate that was both up to date and not older than three months. Upon receiving these documents, they inexplicably, and seemingly without any logical basis, denied me access to their HomeShield coverage, despite me having a brand new boiler installed only 1 week ago! Their excuse? They claimed they couldn't meet my "high expectations." But in reality, my expectations were quite reasonable – simply a reliable home protection plan with no demands on any discounts or waivers. When I sought clarification, their response was nothing short of infuriating. They hid behind vague policies, offering no real explanation for their refusal. It's abundantly clear that their customer service is subpar, and their communication is a train wreck. Let my experience serve as a caution to anyone considering Gair Gas for their services. If this is how they treat prospective customers, I can't even begin to imagine what their service would be like once they have your money. Do not waste your time or money on Gair Gas. Their customer service is abysmal. Take your business elsewhere if you value professionalism, transparency, and respect.

We had a problem with a down lighter in kitchen - and received a visit on the same day we reported - fitted a temporary fitting and followed up a couple of days with a new one. Rich was the engineer allocated for the service to the boiler and a gas fire. He had a cancellation on his job list so, he asked if he could attend earlier. I used Gair Gas for the first time to sort out extractor fans in our en suites. They were prompt and very professional. They discovered one fan was not properly installed and sorted it all out. I am very happy with their service and would definitely use them again.

The failing bit here was that they clearly sent the quote to the wrong email and when I asked for it to be sent to my actual email, they didn't send it. Clearly they didn't want the work :/
I have a pretty old gas boiler, a Baxi back boiler. Engineer seemed quite pleased to see it after spending time on modern ones. There was a small problem with the electrics after boiler had been re-assembled. Engineer was unable to fix due to boiler being very hot due to fire being on, said he’d be back at 0800 following day. He arrived on the dot after phone call saying he was on his way problem was fixed within minutes. Both Engineer and his apprentice polite and personable, they left the premises clean and tidy. Was very satisfied with work done

Gair Gas are a highly professional, reliable local company who attended to fix a new boiler and for the subsequent follow-up kitchen refit. I booked my annual boiler service over the phone, and the appointment went ahead as planned. I received a text 10 minutes before the engineer arrived. There were a few extra jobs that needed to be done, and these were completed seamlessly. The engineer made a point of checking that all the radiators were running to the required standard, and said if there were any problems to contact them. I recommend Gair Gas.

Called out Gair Gas electrical employee as we had no hot water from the boiler. He managed to find a couple of faults in the electrics but unfortunately hot water not working as he suggested giving it a couple of hours to heat up. He mentioned if still not working call the office which I did. They then sent out their Technical Manager Pete who not only fixed the problem for us (ie Hot Water etc now working) but also the Hive system which was in Demo mode by calling Hive whilst on this job. Nothing was too much trouble for him and explained everything thrown at him by myself. Absolutely first class business from start to finish. Special mention to Tracy who set up the visit. Would highly recommend this company to anybody.

Annual service identified a major problem with our boiler that meant it was unsafe and condemned. A new one was ordered and fitted. The guys were considerate in covering work area with sheets and ensured we were happy with work done. They left us with a carbon monoxide meter too. We've been customers with Gair Gas for years and will continue to stay with them as they provide excellent customer service from all of the team :-)

They also recommended we had another job done which had been an issue for ages, when no one else had pinpointed the problem. So, we had them back and again an excellent job done. Gair gas are brilliant!!! from my initial phone call to arrange for a quote to be done to my end product, amazing, the office staff are lovely and helpful. My installation team were on time, polite and cheerful and very tidy. They were at my home for 3 days and cleaned everyday. They always informed me of the plans for the day and updated me when i got in. I cant thank them enough, Sam in particular was so informative and nothing was a problem for them. After the completion of my new heating system, the following day i received a beautiful bouquet of flowers from Gair Gas, thanking me for my custom, this is a lovely touch. Peter and his apprentice Thomas came and installed Hive heating system. We have been with Gair Gas years now and always found them reliable, professional, knowledgeable and highly recommend them.
We were offered installation of 7 radiators at short notice. The 2 installers came promptly, worked efficiently together and completed the work within the expected time. The installation looks good and everything works as expected. Once completed, they tidied up and left the surroundings as if nothing had changed. An excellent service and I would recommend this company.
We signed up to the Gair Gas Home Shield plan on 1/1/23, not realising that our boiler would die that same month ! I called GAIR Gas, and an engineer was onsite within an hour to investigate, and came round the next day to give up 2 priced up options (Mend or Replace). Within 5 working days, Andy & Alex had fitted a new boiler - it is much more compact and efficient than the old one, and they fitted a much improved flu which takes the fumes/steam upwards rather than into our outdoor seating area. I have used Gair gas for over 20 years and have never been disappointed. They are super efficient, friendly and always sort out any problem. I called at 8am, the phone was answered immediately by a very friendly and helpful lady. The engineer was at my house that morning and the issue was sorted. i would not fail to recommend them to anyone!
I contracted with you to put a washer on my tap and also replace a pull switch for the light, both these jobs were in the bathroom. At no time was I told that the person coming to the job could not do both jobs. He put a new washer on the tap and then told me he could no't touch the light as he was not an electrician. I cannot fault his work, but why wasn't I told this when I I spoke to the person on the 'phone that it would mean paying two call out fees? I might add that the day that the work was being done I had a call from the office to confirm the job as apparently the computer had gone down. I would like your comments please . I am an old aged pensioner and canot afford paying two call out charges. Truda-Anne Lee

Always reliable, helpful and above all very reasonable work. They once came to fix my very old boiler almost 10 years ago and provided me with a simple solution whilst everyone else suggested I change my boiler. Since then they have been my go to and always been good service. The biggest issue is trying to book them in as they are good, they are busy!
I was impressed with the knowledge of the engineer who sussed out my problem very quickly. It has not yet been resolved as to do so requires a spare part. I will reserve further judgement till my radiator is up and running again. PS I have now changed my review to 5 star as my issue was resolved. Cynically, I thought the spare part would take weeks and that I would have to chase the company to arrange another visit. In complete contrast the part arrive within a day or two and the company rang me to make an appointment to complete the job within a week of my first appointment. Great service!

Called them as boiler wasnt providing hot water and my boiler is insured with them. I was put on their list to attend to repair. The boiler sorted itself out and i cancelled them. They rang the next day to ensure that the boiler was still ok which it was.

I have been with Gair Gas since 2008 with a service care plan for my boiler. They were always very good and responded quickly if we had a problem or breakdown. The boiler was serviced by them annually. Last November (2021) during the coldest week of the year, the boiler stopped completely. We had no heating whatsoever and no other form of heating. We had an immersion heater for water thank goodness but an expensive way of getting hot water. We contacted Gair gas the next day as we had the gold plan cover at £24.00 pm.. We were told an engineer would come out a week later on the Friday as they were all booked up. We reiterated that we had no heating but it didn't make any difference. Asked if an engineer could phone as they had done in the past as it could be something that could be fixed over the phone, this was on a Friday, by the next Tuesday still no call and it was still freezing cold. I phoned and said we were still waiting for a call back, was told the engineer had been off sick so I asked if another one could at least call me back. An engineer did call then but was unable to fix over the phone, he fitted us in for a call out on the Thursday instead of the Friday as booked. When they came out during that evening they found it was just a fuse blown in the pump. Not that they would have known that beforehand without checking but we were stuck without heating for a week and when you pay for emergency cover is not acceptable. It was a 30 min diagnosis and fix. We have now had a new boiler installed by a different company and taken out their cover. Even trying to cancel Gair gas cover with the required notice proved non responsive. It has never been confirmed as cancelled. When needed they didn't deliver the service paid for. I had previously recommended them but feel very let down.
Just had my first boiler service. The service is incomparable to that of other national competitors. Very polite, clean service. I would certainly recommend them if you have had bad service elsewhere. I was very impressed and joined their monthly plan. Thankyou.

Shower isolating switch had died so needed replacing. Have the 5 star home plan with Gair Gas that covers everything at home, so called them to make repair. The correct switch was not in the van but was ordered and Zac returned later in the day to fit it. Thank you Gair Gas, great service.

My boiler has been serviced by Gair Gas for a number of years. Recently had a new boiler installed. Alex arrived on time and the morning he was unfortunately stuck in traffic he phoned to explain, he worked hard, communicated well and left everything clean and tidy. To be recommended.
This was a quiet and efficient visit checking out the system. Had a good talk about it all and I am at this time, well ,pleased.
They removed 2 water tanks and heating system installed inside a cabinet in a bedroom, placing a new combi boiler in the utility room. It has been needed to modify and to re-route the most of the piping. After 3 days work (up to 4 tecnicians involved ) , I can now manage my heating system by an app on my mobile, deciding to heat up the house or the conservatory indipendently. The quote was not cheap, but we are satisfied.

Very pleased with pipe repair work and new boiler installation. Already noticing the efficiency both in terms of heat and cost (as indicated by our smart meter!) Two workers got everything done in a day with cheerfulness and professionalism.

Having become somewhat disillusioned I moved from a national company I to Gair Gas Limited. This was my first encounter with them. I have been very impressed so far. Polite, friendly and efficient office staff. The engineers that attended arrived on time and behaved in a manner similar to that of the office staff. The engineer phoned in advance of the appointment to let us know how long he'd be, turned up shortly afterwards and was very quick, tidy and efficient. Very efficient work. There was a size error with the radiator that was delivered. This was spotted by the plumber who noted it didn't look right. The radiator was replaced quickly and installed with no other problem.

A really super service where I had no hot water or heating for some time as the boiler had broken. Came round immediately provided a great consultation with options, no pressure and once I had made up my mind came immediately to install. The boiler works fantastically, is silent and responds to the programming and any adhoc alterations required i.e. turns off if the windows are open or if I leave the house.

Planned to take out one the service plan with this company, had the initial inspection carried out and now it’s been more than month, still awaiting to hear from them regarding the contract. Made multiple contact with them still no satisfactory repose. Now given up as not reliable and not professional. Simply Avoid.

I had issues with my boiler not heating all the radiators in the house. Callum arrived and was very good at explaining what he was going to do and why. He spent most of the day sorting it out and replaced the pump and new pipework configuration, balanced my radiators and they all worked bar one, which he is coming back to have a look at. I have been with Gair Gas about 3 years ago, first using them when the Boiler packed up. They were excellent then and I have continued using them to replace my boiler, for annual services when they have also been punctual, polite etc. I have recently had my Bathroom Fitted by Ollie and Team at Gair, and Rob at Unique arranging design etc. They have been an absolutely amazing team, my bathroom is better than I could have imagined and I am so very grateful. The house was left tidy at the end of each day, and they quickly replied to any questions I had. Already Recommending them to others - thank you all so much it really is amazing.

Had a gas leak from cooker. The lady on the phone was very helpful and friendly. Ollie arrived in under an hour and was very courteous, friendly and helpful. From the initial phone call to the leak being fixed took less than three hours. I would highly recommend Gair Gas and will certainly use them in the future.
Recently a fledgling starling fell down my chimney and landed behind the gas fire in my living room. I rang Gair Gas and explained the situation. An engineer arrived within a couple of hours, despite the current lockdown and proceeded to rescue the baby bird with utmost professionalism and efficiency. What a relief. Thank you Gair Gas! My gas boiler suddenly failed to ignite one evening, so I had no central heating and a cold night. I phoned Gair Gas at 08.00 and was put on their emergency call out list. At 08.20 I was called to be told an engineer would be with me in 20 minutes. He was - he rapidly diagnosed a failure in a hot water relay, which he was able to replace from stock in his van, and had me fixed within the hour. Great service. I had intended to sign up to the Home Shield cover plan (which would have saved me the call out charge of £72) and am now arranging to do so.
I've just had an old boiler replaced, along with the hot water cylinder and change in connection of towel rail from central heating circuit to hot water. The installers were very helpful, finding a way to avoid the need for a condensate pump and working out a way to avoid cutting up my bathroom floor. Even gave me a useful suggestion to solve someone else's plumbing problem! It was also cheaper than British Gas. I shall shortly be signing up to their maintenance contract, and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Initially it was Rich who explained the type of boiler that would suit our needs and discuss in detail what Gair Gas can offer. From start to finish everything was well organised: 1. We had a new boiler, radiators and bathroom tap fitted by Gair Gas. The work was to a high standard, the installation was efficient and clean. The installers were polite and hard working. Highly recommend.
I think they're appalling. To join one of their service plans we had to have full inspection of the system and the initial boiler service with them which we did and everything was in working order with no issues of whatsoever. The boiler, the hot water tank and all the valves are newish, the only comment from the engineer was the radiators are old although all are in good working order with no problems. Paid for the initial service separately, although it should be covered by the plan but they said not the first service, and waited two weeks to know whether they will cover the central heating system. Finally after two weeks they decided they can only cover the boiler as the radiators are old despite the fact they're all perfect condition and working order. This come after our current plan with the previous provider has expired which we did not renew as we thought we will be covered by GairGas which was recommended to us as a good local company and we had no issues in the past seven years coverages by different suppliers. I don't know why we had to do the boiler service with them in first place as all what they needed to do just do a quick system inspection without paying for a service and they could have given us the answer whether they will or will not cover the system there and then without the two weeks delay, however, doing it this way they would not have got the £60.00 service fee which we'll have to do again with another provider to cover the system, so makes you wonder is this just a scam!
I was pleased that Gair gas attended to my hot water (or lack of) so promptly. They phoned me as soon as they had the part to book me in. The replacement turned out to be quite tricky but the engineers stayed until it was complete and my hot water was working again. They were very polite and friendly and cleaned the area they had been working in before they left. I will definitely use them again.
We had quite alot of work done, including a new boiler. The engineers were polite, hard working and efficient. No complaints what so ever, would recommend to anyone looking for a local trustworthy company.

We would highly recommend Gair Gas. The team were all friendly, polite, punctual and helpful. They kept us informed on progress throughout, and were happy to answer any questions we had. They were considerate, checking with us that we were happy with the work that was being done and how tidy they were keeping the house. Professional boiler installation with no complaints about difficulties caused by myself (routing gas main around other plumbing). Was rccomended them by my Girlfriend who uses their landlord servicing package too.
We recently had a combi boiler installed by GAIR. The work was completed to a very high standard and the installers were very friendly and professional. I highly recommend GAIR and would use them again for future work.

I have been on their Gold Plan for nearly 10 years. I changed to them from British Gas who were putting their prices up to a ridiculous level (I am still not paying what BG were asking for 10 years ago!). In that time I have had annual system inspections, breakdowns and general work carried out by them. I have always been pleased with their work, never a quibble about work covered by the plan, and good value for anything I wanted as an extra (such as conversion to a wireless thermostat). Very happy to recommend a local company that relies on word of mouth for much of their business.
Super! Gair Gas came recommended from a friend- having searched around the local companies to be sure Gair Gas were the right people- - we were impressed with the efficiency and professionalism of the company. Price wise they came out around average so we opted for them. Dave (+apprentice) came to install the new boiler over 2 days. Both were super polite and professional. They were keen to ensure we were warm over night and offered to leave us heaters. Dave kindly swapped the old radiator that was removed for the clean for a new one we have brought- without any hesitation. They left the house just as it was before they started. You barely noticed they had been in. The new boiler is awesome! Such a professional and honest company. Not out to patronise or over sell- just 100% professional. Do really consider going with them.
