We had a fantastic experience with PC Flooring and couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Adam, Olli and Ben were superb — incredibly professional, knowledgeable and easy to deal with throughout the whole process. Communication was excellent from start to finish, with everything clearly explained and delivered exactly as agreed. Even though they’re based in Dorset, they had no issue covering our project in Brentwood, Essex, which really impressed us. The quality of workmanship and overall service was outstanding. We have done a couple of projects now using PC Flooring and both have gone without any issues. The first was particularly tricky but the PC Flooring lads were proactive and got the job done. Adam’s communication is good and the pricing is very competitive. Would highly recommend using PC Flooring.
The one star is for lan who came out to meticulously measure the levels and was very pleasant and professional. The actual screeding and follow up was another story. We paid extra in one area to have a finish that would dry quickly and be suitable for direct application of LVT. The finished surface is very friable and our flooring contractor says it is unsuitable for direct application of the tiles and needs re-finishing. The plumber then came to install the shower tray and said the surface was so out of level it needed to be re-done. In another area the screed level is about 10mm lower than it should be because the screeders didn't use the carefully marked levels that Ian had done. They happened to mention this at the end of the job when they said it was too late to raise the level and tried to blame my husband! I feel that the company has taken advantage of my husbands good nature and the fact that we have paid the bill. Adam promised to come and look at the issues this morning, he didn’t come in spite of being chased and when we chased again this afternoon said that ‘the higher ups’ had changed the schedule and he couldn’t come until Tuesday next week which is too late for us as other trades are lined up to complete work. The work was obviously sub-contracted out and the workers were very rushed. We have gaps in corners of the area they edged. They left without even offering to clean up the trails of screed left in the house and criticised the company PC Flooring employing them very unprofessionally. Over the last year 20 years we have carried out some major construction projects and used many trades, we have never before felt the need to post a critical review, this is by far the worst experience we have had.
Had these guys in to lay an insulated floor and screed, they did a great job, well managed and very clean site pre and post completion… Great job team
Giving a glowing review is easy when everything goes to plan but unfortunately the world doesn’t always work out how we want it. I believe you get a better insight into a company when things actually go wrong and how they go about fixing the issues. Due to location reasons relating to my property the initial laying of my floor could not go ahead. The issues were not of PC Floorings making, however they were very professional in working with me to overcome the issues. The final result was a hassle free installation. Top marks to them for their help in resolving the logistical issues and getting the job completed perfectly.
PC Flooring were recommended to me for liquid screeding over my UFH pipe work in my home extension, by one of my contractors who has used them before. I can see why he uses them and why he was happy to recommend them. First class service from my first telephone contact along with good advice and all at a very competitive price. PC flooring insulated and screeded the floor for our self build. I really cannot rate them highly enough. They were approachable, always had time to talk through any concerns and made sure any deadlines we had were hit. Not only that but our resin flooring contractor (who is very experienced and particular) said it was the best screed he had ever seen in his entire career. Ed, Ollie, Lewis and in fact all the guys that came on site were a pleasure to work with and experts in their field.
